WADSWORTH -- Dorothy E. Fetterman, 77, of Wadsworth, formerly of Orrville and Westfield Center, died Friday, May 18, 2001, at her home after a brief illness.
Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Parker & Son Funeral Home in Lodi, with the Rev. Robin Hart officiating. Burial will be at Westfield Center Cemetery.
Friends may call Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family suggests contributions may be made to Tri-County Hospice, 102 Main St., Suite 304, Wadsworth 44281.
She was born Aug. 1, 1923, in Cadiz, to Henry C. and Martha "Mattie" (Baker) Tredway.
Surviving are children, Karen (Ken) Wolf of Arizona, Christine (Tom) Mayhew of Eagle, Colo., Sheila Fetterman and Robert Gerrad, both of Wadsworth and Randy (Pamela) Fetterman of Medina; 16 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Patricia Bernagege and a brother, Arthur "Pete" Tredway.
Her husband, Miles Fetterman, died previously.

Nicholas Hart
WOOSTER -- Nicholas Tyler "Nick" Hart, 4 1/2, of Wooster, died Sunday evening, May 20, 2001, at Children's Hospital Medical Center in Akron.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Roberts Funeral Home, Sherwood Chapel, Wooster, with Pastor Paul Donihue officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family, in care of Roberts Funeral Home, Sherwood Chapel, P.O. Box 761, Wooster 44691.
He was born Aug. 5, 1996, in Orrville, to Anthony W. Hart of North Carolina and Kimberly Ice of Wooster.
Surviving in addition to his parents, are a sister, Brandy Hart of the home and a brother, Anthony Hart Jr. of Sterling; grandparents, Judy and Daniel Memmer of Atwater, Jerry and Pam Ice of Wooster and Peggy and Richard Ronning of North Carolina; great-grandparents, Dora King and Howard Ice, both of West Virginia; aunts and uncles, Sharon Salter, Susan Hart, Gina Ronning, Jason Ronning and Jeffery and Joan Ronning, all of North Carolina, and Bill Ice of Wooster; and several other family members and friends.

M. Fern Lint
DALTON -- M. Fern Lint, 81, of Dalton, died Monday morning, May 21, 2001, at Doctors Hospital, after a brief illness.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home in Massillon, with the Rev. Paul Mullett officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Hills Burial Park.
Friends may call Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

She was born Dec. 18, 1919, in Indianapolis, to Jerome and Glyda (McKinley) Easterly Sr.
Surviving are her husband of 59 years, Calvin M. Lint; children, Linda L. (Terry) Hostetler, Richard A. and Dennis J. Lint, all of Dalton and Ronald C. (Cheryl) Lint of Massillon; 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; sisters, Eunella Pannell of Alva, Wyo., and Ida Jane Walker of Denver; and a brother, Leroy Easterly of Massillon.

Annabell Byrd
WOOSTER -- Annabell Byrd, 77, formerly of Bardon Street, died Thursday, May 17, 2001, at West View Manor Nursing Home.
Services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster, with the Rev. Rufus Thompson officiating. Entombment will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
Friends may call one hour prior to the services.
She was born May 5, 1924, in Athens, Ga., to the Rev. Eugene and Elaree (Webb) Adams and married Jesse B. Byrd Sr. in 1943. He died Oct. 24, 1997.
Surviving are children, Savoy and Mike Byrd and Jesse B. Byrd Jr., all of Wooster, Anita Thomas and Linda Byrd, both of Arlington, Texas; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Gladys Kinsey
JEROMESVILLE -- Gladys V. Kinsey, 91, 1490 County Road 175, died Sunday morning, May 20, 2001, at Samaritan Regional Health System in Ashland.
Services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Fickes Funeral Homes in Jeromesville with Pastor Alan Smearsoll officiating. Burial will be at the Ashland County Memorial Park.
Friends may call tonight (Monday) from 7-9 at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Rowsburg Lutheran Church.
She was born Oct. 16, 1909, in Holmes County, to Arthur and Hazel (Miller) Middaugh and married Charles Kinsey. He died Nov. 12, 1993.
Surviving are a son, Harold Kinsey of Polk; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 11 step-great-grandchildren; one step-great-great-grandchild and four sisters, Helen Michael of New Philadelphia, Freda Hootman of Jeromesville, Betty Fites of Wooster and Donna Everheart of Prescott Valley, Ariz.

Oliva Osburn-Griffiths
DOYLESTOWN -- Oliva Mae (Blake) Osburn-Griffiths, 98, died Saturday, May 19, 2001, at West View Manor in Wooster.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Zak-Monbarren Funeral Home in Doylestown with the Rev. Lester Champer officiating. Burial will be at Chestnut Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Wayne County Hospice, 2525-A Back Orrville Road, Wooster 44691.
She was born May 21, 1903, in Prichard, W.Va., to John and Della (Brown) Blake and married Timothy Osburn. He died in 1969. She then married John Griffiths. He died in 1988.
She is survived by children and their spouses, James (Carol) Osburn of Wooster, Isa (Allen) Weber of Wooster, Mary (Bill) Roberts of Akron, Janice Waller of St. Augustine, Fla., Nola (Bob) Shonk of Orrville, Clyde (Nancy) Osburn of Akron, John (Linda) Osburn of Doylestown and Jack (Mary) Griffiths of Greentown, Pa.; 36 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Henry Blake of Wadsworth.

John Balogh
CHIPPEWA LAKE -- John C. Balogh, 83, of Chippewa Lake, died Sunday, May 20, 2001, at his home.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Parker & Son Funeral Home, 210 Medina St., Lodi, with Pastor Ellen Purchase officiating. Burial will be at Penfield Cemetery.
Friends may call Tuesday from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
He was born May 25, 1917, in Columbus, to Gabor and Elizabeth Balogh.
Surviving are his wife, Marceil, to whom he was married 53 years; a son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Karen Balogh of West Salem; four grandchildren; a sister, Irene Morovec of Cleveland and three brothers, Steve Balogh of Cleveland, Joe Balogh of Minneapolis, and Elmer of Ravenna.

John Brown
SPENCER -- John R. Brown, 49, a lifelong Spencer resident, died Thursday evening, May 17, 2001, at his home, following a lengthy illness.
Services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Truth Baptist Church, 12457 N. Elyria Road (state Route 301), West Salem, with Pastor Raymond Miller officiating. Burial will be at Grove Street Cemetery, New London.
Friends may call Sunday from 6-9 p.m. at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main St., New London, and Monday from noon until time of service at Truth Baptist Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Truth Baptist Church, 12457 N. Elyria Road, West Salem 44287.
He was born June 14, 1951, in Lodi, to Elmer and Frances (Halada) Brown.
Surviving are his wife of 17 years, Carla (Bloom) Brown; a daughter, Shelly Brown of Pittsfield; three stepsons and daughters-in-law, Tab and Kelly Bloom, Ronald Hamilton Jr. and Cory and Amanda Hamilton, all of Spencer; a granddaughter; three step-grandsons and four brothers, George, Charlie, Chic and Mike Brown, all of Sullivan.

Vera Nolletti
WOOSTER -- Vera Louise Nolletti, 84, of Wooster, died early Thursday morning, May 17, 2001, at her home.
She was born on Sept. 22, 1916, in Clarksdale, Iowa to Charles and Catherine (Chirillo) Yakello and married Arthur E. Nolletti Sr. on July 27, 1940 in Wooster.
Surviving are her husband, Arthur E. Nolletti Sr.; five children and spouses, Marie and Don Mortimer of Wooster, Arthur E. Jr. and Diana Nolletti of Marlborough, Mass., Barbara and Richard Frame of Wooster, Richard and Violet Nolletti of Wooster and Carole-Anne and Scott C. Ford of Wooster; nine grandchildren and a sister, Yolanda Vura.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, May 21, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Friends and family may call Sunday, May 20, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at McIntire, Davis and Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster 44691.
Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Canton Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association, 4815 Munson St. NW, Canton 44718 or to Hospice of Wayne County, Inc., 2525-A Back Orrville Road, Wooster 44691.

Dr. Harry King
HICKORY, N.C. -- Dr. Harry Lee King, 57, of Hickory, N.C., died Monday May 14, 2001, at University Hospital in Charlottesville, Va., from injuries sustained in a plane crash.
Services were held Friday at St. Stephens Lutheran Church Missouri Synod.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Harry L. King Memorial Fund Medical Care for Children, 31 1st Avenue, S.E., Hickory, N.C. 28602 or to Mennonite Central Committee, P.O. Box 500, Akron, Pa. 17501.
Arrangements were handled by Bass-Smith Funeral Home in Hickory, N.C.
He was born Sept. 20, 1943, in Summerset County, Md., to Amos C. and Agnes (Ogborn) King and married Rosemary Gerber. She survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are sons, Rodney King of Germany, Sidney King and Bradley King, both of Hickory, N.C.; a daughter, LaDene King of Hickory, N.C.; his father, Amos C. King of Westover, Md.; sisters, Ruby King Dorsey and Miriam Dogen, both of Westover, Md. and Rosa King of Virginia; brothers, Elmer King of Pennsylvania, Walter L. King of Hickory, N.C., Dan King of Ohio, Billy King and A.J. King, both of Westover, Md.; 21 nieces and nephews and 12 great-nieces and nephews.

Virgil Asche
STERLING -- Virgil E. Asche, 76, 13099 Seville Road, died Friday, May 18, 2001 at his home.
Services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Gillman Funeral Home in Rittman where friends may call from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. on Monday. The Rev. Frank Mack will officiate with burial at Rittman Cemetery, where the Seville Veterans of Foreign Wars will conduct a military service.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Wayne County, 2525-A Back Orrville Road, Wooster 44691 or Milton Township Fire and Rescue, P.O. Box 35, Sterling 44276.
He was born March 9, 1925, in Pierceville, Ind. to Phillip and Georgia (Schmaltz) Asche. He married Lucille Johnson on July 2, 1946 and she died July 5, 1987. He then married Lucille Caesar on July 30, 1989 and she survives.
Also surviving are his mother, Georgia Wyatt of Milan, Ind.; son, Gary (Cindy) Asche of Millersburg; daughter, Mrs. William (Glenna) Young of Pickerington; brother, Elmer (Donna) Asche of Sterling; sisters, Mrs. Kenneth (Virginia) Bergman of Milan, Ind. and Mrs. William (Martha) Hower of Lodi; and two grandchildren.

Rev. Millard Green
WINESBURG -- The Rev. Millard C. Green, 83, of Winesburg, died Thursday evening, May 17, 2001, at Pomerene Memorial Hospital in Millersburg, following a period of declining health.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with the Rev. David R. Clemens officiating. Burial will be at Burbank Cemetery.
Friends may call Sunday from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
He was born on July 3, 1917, in Leatherwood, Ky. to Albert and Tennessee (Ratliff) Green. He first married Laura Opal Williams. She died in 1943. On Dec. 27, 1944, he married Violet Metheny. She survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are five children and their spouses, Mary Alice and David Snyder and Eleanor and Jack Snyder, all of Wadsworth, Bobby and Linda Green of Sciotoville, Anna Dell and Robert VanFossen of Midland, Mich. and Rozena and Eli Yoder of Winesburg; 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a sister, Opal Boyes of Creston and many nieces and nephews.

Mary Hershberger
MOUNT HOPE -- Mary Ann Hershberger, 80, of Mount Hope, died Tuesday, May 15, 2001, at Pomerene Hospital in Millersburg, following a brief illness.
Services will be Thursday at 9:30 a.m. at the David A. Yoder residence, 7965 State Route 241, Mount Hope, with Bishop Eli Shetler officiating. Burial will be at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Hartville.
Friends may call anytime today (Wednesday) at the David A. Yoder residence. Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton is in charge of arrangements.
She was born Dec. 24, 1920, in Holmes County, to Eli J.S. and Amanda (Shetler) Yoder and married Elmer J. Hershberger on June 13, 1971. He died Oct. 4, 1994.
She is survived by a stepdaughter, Mrs. Jacob (Delilah) Hershberger of Hartville; eight step-grandchildren, 10 step-great-grandchildren and two step-great-great-grandchildren; four sisters, Amanda Miller of Fredericksburg, Mattie Troyer of Millersburg, Mrs. Isaac (Malinda) Schlabach of Kimbolton, and Mrs. Abe O. (Katie Ann) Troyer of Sugarcreek and a brother, John E.N. (Elizabeth) Yoder of Dundee.

Bonnie Levine
DALLAS -- Bonnie J. Hoskins Levine, formerly of Wooster, died Sunday morning, May 13, 2001, in Dallas, Texas, where she had made her home since 1957. She had been ill for two years.
There will be no services and according to her wishes, her body has been donated to medical science.
A private memorial will be held at a later time.
She was born to Robert and N. Mae Hoskins in Blue Diamond, Ky., on Aug. 22, 1926.
She is survived by three sisters, Louise McBride and Ida Biggs of Dallas and Alice Kistler of Wooster. Also many nieces and nephews.

Kenneth Ream
MEDINA -- Kenneth V. Ream, 80, of Medina, died Tuesday, May 15, 2001, at his home.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Waite & Son Funeral Homes, Medina Chapel, 765 N. Court St., with the Rev. Robin Hart officiating. Burial will be at Waltz Cemetery.
Friends may call Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Northside Christian Church, 1825 Reimer Road, Wadsworth 44281-9214 and Medina County Gideons, P.O. Box 1063, Medina 44258.
He was born Nov. 2, 1920, in Sharon Township, to Vern and Miriam Kaufman.
Surviving are his wife, Ruth (Overholt) Ream, to whom he was married 58 years; sons and daughters-in-law, Howard and Shirley Ream of Wayne County and Norman and Linda Ream of Smithville; a daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Bruce Raber of Lodi; 12 grandchildren; his twin sister, Kathryn Pursley of Stow; sisters, Hazel Kramer and Marjorie (Stanley) Raw, both of Sharon.

Bernard Grey
WOOSTER -- Bernard E. Grey, 91, formerly of Skylark Ave., died Monday evening, May 14, 2001, at Wooster Community Hospital.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the McIntire, Davis and Greene Funeral Home with the Rev. George Johnson officiating. Burial will be at Wooster Cemetery.
Friends may call Thursday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
He was born April 18, 1910 in Ernest, W.Va. to John and Ethel (Carse) Grey and married Geraldine "Jerry" Bringardner on June 6, 1931. She died Oct. 4, 1998.
Surviving are daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Charles Mertz of Wooster; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mary Baker.

A. Bruce Slater
ESA, Ariz. -- A. Bruce Slater, 70, died Tuesday, April 24, 2001, at his home, three months after diagnosis of fast-growing, small cell lung cancer.
A memorial service was held in Gilbert, Ariz. with Pastor Doug Burton officiating. The remains were cremated.
He was born Jan. 20, 1931, in Creston, to Allen J. and LaVerne M. Slater and married Betty Lou Widmer. She survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are a son, James of Gilbert, Ariz.; daughters, Rhonda Burton of Florida and Sandra Kernagis of Mesa, Ariz.; eight grandchildren; two step-grandchildren and two sisters, Bernice Brown of Drumright, Okla. and Betty Lewis of San Angelo, Texas.

Dan Balder
SUGARCREEK -- Dan A. Balder, 93, of Sugarcreek, died Monday, May 14, 2001, at Hennis Care Centre in Dover.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Butler-Varns Funeral Home in Sugarcreek with the Rev. Carlan Helgeson. Burial will be at Walnut Creek Mennonite Church Cemetery.
Friends may call Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and Friday from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home.
He was born Feb. 26, 1908, in Holmes County, to Ernest and Laura Belle (Snyder) Balder and married Mary Gerber. She died in 1945. He then married Iona Bernhardt on Jan. 18, 1947. She died April 6, 1986.
Surviving are a son, Larry (Nancy) Balder of Millersburg; a daughter, Mrs. William (Marlene) Jones of North Port, Fla.; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
