DUNDEE -- Katie Ann Weaver, 77, 1331 County Road 168, died Saturday, Feb. 24, 2001, at her residence.
Services will be Tuesday at 9 a.m. at the Weaver residence with Bishop Delbert D. Hershberger officiating. Burial will be at Yoder Cemetery, Walnut Creek Township.
Friends may call anytime at the residence.
Arrangements are being handled by Butler-Varns Funeral Home in Sugarcreek.
She was born June 27, 1923, in Holmes County, to Joe P. and Dena (Schlabach) Miller and married Isaac A. Weaver on March 20, 1947. He survives.
Surviving in addition to her husband, are five sons, Lester I. (Esther, Joe I. (Ada), Mark I. (Linda), all of Dundee, Eli I. (Clara) of the home, Raymond I. (Mary Ann) of Mount Eaton; two daughters, Mrs. Eli S. (Edna) Hershberger and Mrs. Edward (Mary) Miller, both of Dundee; 49 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Levi J.P. Miller of Millersburg and a sister, Elizabeth Miller of Winesburg.

Evelyn Cellar
ASHLAND -- Evelyn W. Cellar, 86, formerly of 237 Maple St., died Saturday morning, Feb. 24, 2001, at Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Ashland.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Denbow-Primm-Kemery Funeral Home, Ashland, with Pastor Julie Thomas officiating. Burial will be in the Savannah Cemetery.
Friends may call one hour prior to services on Tuesday morning at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
She was born June 10, 1914, in Jeromesville, to David Daniel and Edith Beatrice (Remley) Stacher and married G. Carl Cellar on Sept. 4, 1935. He died June 8, 1972.
Surviving are two daughters, Winifred M. Garlock-Gant of Shreve and Sarah J. McBride of Savannah; a son, D. Zane Cellar of Ashland; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

John Airulla
DOYLESTOWN -- John Lawrence Airulla, 51, of Doylestown died Saturday, Feb. 24, 2001, at the Hospice Care Center in Akron, following a lengthy illness.
Private graveside services will be held Tuesday at St. Michael's Cemetery, Marshallville, with the Rev. Dale Henneman, a friend of the family, officiating.
There will be no calling hours.
Gresser Funeral Home, Orrville, is handling arrangements.
He was born May 24, 1949, in Wooster, to Karafil and Helen (Fedor) Airulla and was married to Karen (Etling) Airulla for 29 years, who survives, along with sons, Alex and Andy.
Other survivors include: his mother, Helen Airulla of Smithville; a sister, Aretha Alexander of Ashland; a brother, Philip Airulla of Glenwood, Md. and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Marshallville Volunteer Fire Department, Marshallville 44645 or Visiting Nurse Service Hospice Care Center, 3558 Ridgewood Road, Akron 44333.

Galen Miller, M.D.
MILLERSBURG -- Galen Robert Miller, M.D., 77, of Millersburg, died Saturday, Feb. 17, 2001, at Sunset Nursing Home in Millersburg.
Memorial services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Berlin Mennonite Church with the Rev. Ernest Hershberger officiating. Burial will be at Berlin Cemetery.
Family will receive friends Friday from 4-8 p.m. at Berlin Mennonite Church.
Arrangements are being handled by Butler-Varns Funeral Home in Sugarcreek.
Memorial contributions may be made to Holmes County Hospice, 931 Wooster Road, Millersburg 44654.
He was born Feb. 22, 1923, in Berlin, to Alvin and Sevilla (Miller) Miller and married Carley Erb on May 24, 1944. She survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are three sons, Scott Miller, M.D. of Portland, Ore., Duane (Laura) Miller, M.D. of Elkhart, Ind., Donald (Molly) Miller, M.D. of Olympia, Wash.; two daughters, Mrs. Leon (Marla) Graber and Mrs. Kenneth (Gretchen) Vasquez, both of Denver, Colo; 12 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; two brothers, Wayne Miller of Millersburg and Paul Miller of North Canton and five sisters, Ruth Mullet of Berlin, Olis Miller of Sugarcreek, Mrs. Elmer (Myrtle) Fricke of McMinnville, Ore., Mrs. Ray (Gladys) Mumper of Loudonville and Mrs. Robert (Lorene) Wenger of Berlin.

Willard Marner
WALNUT CREEK -- Willard P. "Bill" Marner, 97, of Walnut Creek, died Monday, Feb. 19, 2001, at Walnut Hills Nursing Home, Walnut Creek.
A service will be held at a later date in Iowa and burial will be at Kalona Mennonite Church Cemetery in Kalona, Iowa.
Friends may call tonight (Tuesday) from 6-8 at Walnut Creek Mennonite Church.

He was born Feb. 19, 1904, in Wellman, Iowa, to Gideon and Fannie (Miller) Marner and married Alta Doolin on Aug. 14, 1916. She died July 17, 1974. He then married Edith (Troyer) Troyer in Nov. 1976. She survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife of Walnut Creek are two sons, Paul Dean (Fern) Marner of Kalona, Iowa; Wallace Gene (Jan) Marner of Keasauqua, Iowa; four daughters, Mrs. Keith (Helen) Erb of Sun City, Ariz.; Wilma Bender of Maumee; Mrs. Dan (Shirley) Lehman of Walnut Creek; Mrs. Lee (Kathryn) Swartzentruber of Glendale, Ariz; 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; three brothers, Walter Marner of Phoenix, Ariz.; Max Marner of Heston, Kan. and Donald Marner of Iowa City, Iowa and a sister, Mary King of Sarasota, Fla.

Odis Hawks
HAYESVILLE -- Odis R. Hawks, 89, 23 N. Mechanic St., died Tuesday morning, Feb. 20, 2001, at Griffeth Nursing Home in Ashland.
Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville with Chaplain Gerald A. Gess officiating. Burial will be in Vermillion Cemetery in Hayesville.
Friends may call Friday one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

He was born May 8, 1911, in Ashland County, to Leo and Nora (McQuate) Hawks.
Surviving are his wife of 71 years, Maybelle (Puster) Hawks; a daughter, Nancy Nebergall of Hayesville; three sons, Eddie L. Hawks and Rodney Hawks, both of Ashland and Wayne Hawks of Hayesville; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson.

Nellie Grosjean
WOOSTER -- Nellie Gail Grosjean, 95, of Wooster, went home to be with her Lord, Tuesday morning, Feb. 20, 2001, at Wayne County Care Center, Wooster.
Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Custer-Glenn Funeral Home, Wooster, with the Rev. Rufus Thompson officiating, followed by burial at Wooster Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Westwood Baptist Church, in care of the Needy Fund, 969 Blachleyville Road, Wooster 44691.
Mrs. Grosjean was born June 21, 1905, in Fredericksburg, to William and Alverda E. (Young) Ross and married Julius D. Grosjean on Dec. 31, 1928. He died March 15, 1968.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Thelma and Arthur Tredway of Acworth, Ga.; three stepdaughters; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren.

Eula Stinson
WOOSTER -- Eula M. Stinson, 70, 234 N. Grant St., went home to be with her Lord Saturday evening, Feb. 17, 2001, in the emergency room at Wooster Community Hospital, after a brief illness.
Services will be Saturday, Feb. 24, at 1 p.m. at Friendship Baptist Church in Massillon with elders Charles Sims and Pulley Howard officiating. Cremation will follow the services.
Friends may call Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Custer-Glenn Funeral Home, Wooster, or one hour prior to the services at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, Wayne County Branch, 1740 Cleveland Road, Wooster 44691.
She was born Aug. 1, 1930, in Ryland, Ala., to John Henry and Lucy Jane (Jordan) Rigney and married William Henry Stinson in 1945 in Gurley, Ala. He survives.
Surviving in addition to her husband, are children, Jim (Clora) Stinson, Edward L. (Arlene) Stinson, Marilyn Joyce (Edwin) Hye and Jerena L. (Eugene G.) Copeland, all of Massillon, John (Sandra) Stinson of Canton, Leon (Bernadette) Stinson, Nancy (Michael H.) Elder, Patricia A. (Rickey) Mallett and Gloria (Perry L.) Settles, all of Wooster; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Wesley E. Briggs
WARRENSBURG, Mo. -- Wesley E. Briggs, 73, of Warrensburg, Mo. and formerly of Ashland, died Tuesday morning, Feb. 20, 2001, at Warrensburg Veterans Home.
Memorial services and burial of the cremains will be held at a later date.
There will be no calling hours.
He was born June 27, 1927, in Ashland County, to Ancel C. and Hattie (Fleming) Briggs and married Dorothy Newberg on Feb. 3, 1947. She survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are children, Terry (Judy) Briggs of Loudonville, Beverly (David) Masters of Orrville, Joleen (John) Chance of Wooster, Leanna (Jason) Jelks, Kurtis Briggs of Longlane, Mo., Jerry (Marilyn) Briggs and Alec (Cathy) Briggs of Springfield, Mo.; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren and six step-grandchildren and sisters, Donnabelle (William) Noss of New London and Issabelle (Charles) Morehead of Ashland.
His sisters, Anna Howe, Mary Clouser, Eva King, brothers, Lotus Briggs and Gordon Briggs and a grandson, died previously.

George C. Stanton
SAN JOSE, Calif. -- George C. Stanton, 76, of San Jose, Calif., died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2001.
He was the brother of Betty Kasner of Rittman.
Memorial services will be Thursday at 7 p.m. at First Assembly of God, 801 Hellyer Ave., San Jose, Calif. Burial will be at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
Friends may call today (Wednesday) from 4-9 p.m. at Oak Hill Funeral Home, 300 Curtner Ave., San Jose, Calif.
Surviving in addition to his sister, are his wife, Marcile Stanton; children, Janice Stanton, Marshal Gallo, Sheila Stanton and Steven Stanton; two grandchildren; a brother, Jack Stanton; another sister, Frances Tawney and many nieces and nephews.

Hazel Collins
NEW MATAMORAS -- Hazel Iva (Dreyer) Courtney Collins, 83, Apt. 32D Riverpark Manor and formerly of Millersburg, died Monday, Feb. 19, 2001, at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Hadley Funeral Home in New Matamoras with the Rev. Claye Folger officiating. Burial will be at Matamoras Cemetery.
Friends may call today (Wednesday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
She was born Feb. 11, 1918, in Follensbee, W.Va., to Clifford Christopher and Dortha Leona (Lohri) Dreyer and married Dale Courtney in 1947. He died Dec. 3, 1986. She married John F. Collins in 1990. He died Jan. 27, 1997.
Surviving are a son, John D. Courtney and his wife, Connie of Millersburg; two granddaughters; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Gale Dreyer and wife, Loretta of Dayton and James Dreyer and wife, Carol of Cincinnati and two sisters, Alberta Lohr and husband, Raymond of New Matamoras and Irene Heldman and husband, Charles of Belpre.

Amelia Rohrer
SMITHVILLE -- Amelia M. Rohrer, 91, formerly of Fox Lake Road, died Monday night, Feb. 19, 2001, at Rittman Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 10 a.m. from St. Anne Catholic Church. The Rev. Fr. Philip P. Pritt will officiate with burial in Rittman Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at Gillman Funeral Home in Rittman where a Wake service will be held at 8:30 p.m.
Memorials may be made to St. Anne Catholic Church, 139 S. First St., Rittman 44270 or American Diabetes Association, 1815 W. Market St., Suite No. 108, Akron 44313.
She was born on Feb. 10, 1910, in Barberton, to Joseph and Anna (Viator) Zvada and married Wade L. Rohrer on Nov. 21, 1936. He died Nov. 1, 1996.
Surviving are sons, John (Joanne) Rohrer of Akron and David (Kathy) Rohrer of Duluth, Ga.; daughters, Virginia Rohrer of Prescott, Ariz. and Mrs. Rick (Kathie) Hammond of Smithville; a sister, Mrs. Kenneth (Helen) Plahuta of Rittman; and grandchildren, Jason and Jackie Rohrer, Tracy, Katie, and Kerry Hammond, and Brandon and Lindsay Rohrer.

Thelma Smith
LODI -- Thelma M. Smith, 90, formerly of Lodi, died Monday, Feb. 19, 2001, at Meadowview Care Center in Seville.
Graveside services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery in Lodi with Pastor David Mullins officiating.
There will be no calling hours.

She was born July 12, 1910, in Dayton, Tenn., to James and Sally (Oldham) Shadwick.
Surviving are four daughters, Annie Bell (George) Graham, Opal (Jerry) Snodderly and Kathrine Smith, all of Michigan and Linda (Todd) Vance of Creston; two sons, Ernest Ray Smith of Michigan and Thomas Leon (Reggie) Smith of Wellington; 17 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; a number of great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Olie Minton of Tennessee and three brothers, David, James (Stella) and Donald Oldham, all of Tennessee.

Ralph Neptune
LODI -- Ralph "Bob" Neptune, 77, of Lodi, died Monday, Feb. 19, 2001, at The Oaks of Medina.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Parker & Son Funeral Home, 210 Medina St., Lodi with Pastor Tim Neptune officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Lodi.
Friends may call tonight (Wednesday) from 4-7 at the funeral home.

He was born Oct. 7, 1923, in Barnesville, to Cecil and Vesta Neptune.
Surviving are his wife, Betty (Newcomer) Neptune, to whom he was married 52 years; daughters, Cheryle (Al) Meek and Cindy (Tom) White, both of Lodi; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Dale (Faye) Neptune of Florida and Larry Neptune of Spencer and nieces and nephews.

LODI -- Helen Pittenger, 94, 1555 Hawthorne Drive, died Monday, Feb. 19, 2001, at her home.
Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at McIntire, Davis and Greene Funeral Home with the Rev. Dale Sanford officiating.
There will be no calling hours.

She was born Sept. 3, 1906, in Cleveland, to Roy and Mary O. (Weaver) Gulliford and married Carl W. Pittenger on June 15, 1930. He died March 22, 1992.
Surviving are children, Tom Pittenger of Wooster, Fred Pittenger of Melrose, Mass. and Ann Pittenger of Peabody, Mass.; four grandchildren and a sister, Florence Garver of Wooster.

Ernest Weckesser
SUN CITY, Ariz. -- Ernest J. "Ernie" Weckesser, 89, 21800 Ravin Road, Danville, formerly of Orrville, died Saturday morning, Feb. 17, 2001, at Boswell Memorial Hospital in Sun City, Ariz., where he was residing for the winter.
Services will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at Auble Funeral Home in Orrville with the Rev. Dennis Rinehart officiating. Burial will take place at Sherwood Memorial Gardens in Wooster on Monday.
Friends may call at the funeral home two hours prior to the service on Sunday.

He was born July 20, 1911, in Butterbridge, near Massillon, to John N. and Lena (Ramseyer) Weckesser and married Leona Cleaver on July 20, 1932, in West Virginia. She died Aug. 29, 1995.
Surviving are his children, Howard (Linda) Weckesser of Flippin, Ark., William (Sue) Weckesser of Howard, Shirley (Dave) Caskey of Rome, Elinor (Don) Wright of Mansfield, and Virginia Weckesser of Goodyear, Ariz.; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Edith Schrafrath of Orrville.

Joseph Deibel
BARBERTON -- Joseph A. Deibel, 91, died Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2001.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 12:30 p.m. at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church with Fr. David McCarthy officiating. Burial will be at Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
Friends may call Friday from 4-7 p.m. at Zak-Monbarren Funeral Home in Doylestown. Rosary will be recited Friday at 4 p.m.

He was born April 27, 1909, in Doylestown, to John A. and Charlotte (Dannemiller) Deibel.
He is survived by son, John W. (Helen) Deibel of Barberton; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Catherine (Ron) Davis of Pennsylvania, Ruth (Clair) Over of Barberton and Mary Lou (Charles) Ault of Doylestown.

William O'Neill
WOOSTER -- William H. O'Neill, 71, of Wooster, died Monday, Feb. 19, 2001, at his home, following a period of declining health.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Seville United Methodist Church. Burial will be at Mound Hill Cemetery.
Family will receive friends Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Armstrong-Waite Funeral Home in Seville.
Memorial contributions may be made to Seville United Methodist Church or Hospice of Wayne County.
Surviving are his wife, Vivian M. (Rumburg) O'Neill and a daughter, Erin L. O'Neill of Seville.

Sarah Streets
VOLGA, W. Va. -- Sarah Armelia Streets, 92, a resident of Broaddus Hospital Long Term Care and a former resident of Volga, W.Va., died Monday, Feb. 19, 2001, at Broaddus Hospital Long Term Care.
She was the mother and mother-in-law of Howard and Faye Streets of Orrville.
Services will be today (Wednesday) at 1 p.m. at Wright Funeral Home, 216 N. Walnut St., Philippi, W.Va., in the funeral home chapel with the Revs. Jack Streets and Bonnie Starkey officating. Burial will be at Mount Vernon Memorial Cemetery.
She was born July 8, 1908, in Boulder, W.Va., to William and Elizabeth (Zirkle) Saffle and married Lester "Fuzzy" Streets on Dec. 14, 1926. He died Nov. 8, 1984.
Surviving in addition to her son and daughter-in-law are other sons and daughters-in-law, William and Rita Streets of Philippi, W.Va. and David and Nancy Streets of Century, W.Va. and daughters and sons-in-law, Alice and Bill Orr, Irene Keener and Margaret Perrine, all of Akron and Pauline and Clarence Bates of Volga, W.Va.; 30 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren.

George Jasinski
DALTON -- George Jasinski, 54, of Dalton, died Thursday, Feb. 15, 2001, at Shady Lawn Nursing Home, following a long illness.
The body has been cremated. Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon handled arrangements.
He was born on Jan. 26, 1947, in Youngstown, to John P. and Marie (Check) Jasinski and married Toni Jasinski, She died in 1988.
He is survived by a brother, Edward Jasinski of Dalton.
