SONOMA, Calif. -- Kathryn (Good) Ross, 94, died Saturday, Feb. 3, 2001, at Sonoma Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Memorial services will be Monday at 4:30 p.m. at Schoedinger Northwest Chapel, 1740 Zollinger Road, Upper Arlington. Private burial will be at Fairhaven Cemetery in Pleasant Home.
She was born in 1906, in Pleasant Home.
She is survived by a daughter, Lenore (David) Mastracci of Upper Arlington and a son, Leonard Ross of Napa, Calif.; grandchildren, Maria (Eric) Olson of Marlborough, Mass., Michael (Cami) Mastracci of Upper Arlington and Tony (Sharon) Mastracci of Austin, Texas; and great-grandchildren, Nicolas Mastracci and Molly Olson.
Kathryn was preceded in death by her husband, Nathan, of 59 years.

Elaine Ginzburg
PHILADELPHIA -- Elaine Ginzburg, 61, of Philadelphia, died Monday, Feb. 12, 2001, after a prolonged battle with esophageal cancer.
Born in Akron, she grew up in Wooster and was a 1957 graduate of Wooster High School.
Elaine is survived by her husband, Vittorio, her children Sofia and Lionel, her sisters, Phillis Gerchmez and Sue Duberstein, and by her greatly beloved cats, Gloria and Webster.
Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Planned Parenthood.

Joseph Cardace
RITTMAN -- Joseph F. Cardace, 71, of East Ohio Avenue, died Thursday, Feb. 15, 2001, at Rittman Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Gillman Funeral Home in Rittman, with the Rev. Nick Tillman officiating. Burial will be at Rittman Cemetery.
Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Tri-County Hospice, 102 Main St., Suite 304, Wadsworth 44281.
He was born July 23, 1929, in Rittman, to Frank and Mary Cardace.
Surviving are a sister, Tillie (Harold) Hershberger of Rittman; and several nieces and nephews.

Ruth Echle
MEDINA -- Ruth M. Echle, 75, of Medina, died Friday, Feb. 16, 2001, at Medina General Hospital.
She was the mother of Mary (Gerry) Reynolds of Burbank and sister of Robert Schroeder of Seville.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 606 E. Washington St., Medina, with Father Stephen Kaminski officiating. Burial will be at York Township Cemetery, Medina.
Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Waite & Son Funeral Home, Medina Chapel.
She was born Dec. 25, 1925, in Chatham.
Other survivors include her husband of 50 years, Floyd R. Echle; children, Bev (Dan) Fry and Eddie (Georgann) Echle, both of Medina, Carol (Wolfgang) Pusch of Cross Junction, Va.; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Martha Ferrell and Virginia Smith, both of Medina; and brothers, Albert and Lawrence Schroeder, both of Spencer, and Walter Schroeder of Cincinnati.

Norman Pinkley
WOOSTER -- Norman C. Pinkley, 73, 2447 Pleasant Ridge Road, died Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2001, at Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus.
Services will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. at McIntire, Davis, & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster, with the Rev. David Stout officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Wooster.
Friends may call Sunday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

He was born Jan. 4, 1928, in West Salem, to Dale and Sylvia (Young) Pinkley and married Ann Wirt on Aug. 26, 1951. She survives.
Other survivors include children, Karen (John) Graham of Dalton and Steven S. (Vicki) Pinkley of Wooster; grandchildren, Robert and Jennifer Graham and Matthew Steven Pinkley; brothers, Lester Pinkley of Cleveland and Paul Pinkley of LaGrange; and a sister, Dorothy Cooper of Ashland.

Velva Crow
WOOSTER -- Velva P. Crow, 93, formerly of 2209 Burbank Road, died Sunday morning, Feb. 11, 2001, at Horn Nursing Home, Wooster.
Services will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster, with the Rev. David Stout officiating. Burial will be at Wooster Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours.
Those who wish may make contributions to Central Christian Church Memorial Fund, 407 N. Market St., Wooster; or to Hospice of Wayne County, 2525-A Back Orrville Road, Wooster 44691.
She was born Feb. 24, 1907, in North Carolina, and married Myron Ray Crow. He died in 1997.
Surviving are daughters, Mrs. Richard (Jackie) Detrow and Mrs. Richard (Sandy) Oliver, both of Wooster and Mrs. Marshall (Nancy) Sharp of Desten, Fla.; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Nancy Leist
WOOSTER -- Nancy J. Leist, 59, 3241 Crestview Drive, died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2001, at her home after an extended illness.
Services will be Thursday at 11:15 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Smithville, with the Rev. Dr. Theodore H. Rust officiating. Burial will be at Apple Creek Cemetery.
Friends may call Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster.

She was born Sept. 3, 1941, in Wheeling, W.Va., to William and Evelyn (Barth) Perazzoli and married Alfred C. Leist on Oct. 16, 1960. He survives.
Other survivors include children, Mark Leist of Apple Creek, Jeffrey Leist of Cincinnati and Samara "Sammi" Leist of Wooster; and sisters, Judy Snodgrass of LaHabra, Calif., and Ruth Yazevac of Weirton, W.Va.

Twila Immel-Parks
SPRINGFIELD -- Twila M. Immel-Parks, of Springfield, died Monday morning, Feb. 12, 2001, at Mercy Medical Center.
Services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Hillside Avenue Church of God, 2021 Hillside Ave., Springfield, with the Rev. George Reed officiating.
Friends may call Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at Littleton & Rue Funeral Home, 830 N. Limestone St., Springfield.
Local services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Zion United Church of Christ, U.S. Route 62, Winesburg, with the Rev. Daniel Moore officiating. Burial will be at West Lawn Cemetery, Winesburg.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Breast Cancer Endowment Fund of Clark County, P.O. Box 2852, Springfield 45501-2852.
She was born in New Bedford to Wilbert Earl and Vera V. (Lower) Mathias.
Surviving are her husband of 13 years, Glenn Parks; children, Kathleen (Doug) Reno, Amy Parks and Christopher Parks, all of Springfield, and Michael (Shana) Parks of McGuire Air Force Base, New Jersey; four grandchildren; brothers, Dale L. Mathias Sr. and Larry W. Mathias, both of Winesburg and Dwight D. Mathias of Wooster; and several nieces and nephews.

Lisa Landis
LODI -- Lisa Gale Landis, 41, of Lodi, died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2001, at Lodi Community Hospital.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Parker & Son Funeral Home in Lodi, with Larry DeVore officiating. Burial will be at Eastlawn Cemetery in Brunswick.
Friends may call Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
She was born Oct. 24, 1959, in Fairview Park, to Donald and Hazel (Nevils) Harrold.
Surviving are her husband, Larry; a daughter, Holly Harms of Lodi; her mother and stepfather, Hazel (Ben) Gary of Medina; brothers, Donald Gary of Seville and David (Valerie) Gary of Corpus Christi, Texas; and nieces and nephews.

Dare Rottman
WALNUT CREEK -- Dare E. Rottman, 89, of Walnut Hills Nursing Home in Walnut Creek, died Sunday afternoon, Feb. 11, 2001, at the nursing home, after a period of declining health.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, with Pastor John Wanamaker officiating. Burial will be at Fryburg Cemetery, where military rites will be conducted by Millersburg American Legion Post 192.
Friends may call Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family suggests contributions be made to Faith Lutheran Church, 187 S. Clay St., Millersburg 44654.
He was born March 12, 1911, in Suffield, to Edward Clark and Ernestine (Garmire) Rottman and married Alice Koenig. She died Aug. 6, 1993.
Surviving are sons, Arlo (Pat) Rottman of Jeromesville and Larry (Julie) Rottman of Millersburg; grandchildren, Dean Rottman, Randy Rottman, Amy Fath and Lee Ann Rottman; and four great-grandchildren.

C. Lawrence Vickers
EMINOLE, Fla. -- C. Lawrence "Larry" Vickers, 90, of Seminole, Fla., formerly of Wooster, died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2001, at Largo Medical Center.
Memorial services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Oakhurst United Methodist Church in Seminole, Fla.
Arrangements are being handled by E. James Reese Funeral Home, 6767 Seminole Blvd., Seminole, Fla.
He was born in Lincoln County, W.Va., to Charles W. and Thela (Carper) Vickers.
Surviving are his wife, Edith Vickers of Seminole, Fla.; a daughter, Nancy Gardner of Largo, Fla.; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

William Kieffer Jr.
PALM DESERT, Calif. -- William Howard "Bill" Kieffer Jr., 68, of Palm Desert, Calif., formerly of Orrville, died Monday, Feb. 5, 2001.
Services were held Friday, Feb. 9, 2001, at Palm Springs Mortuary, Ramon Chapel, Cathedral City, Calif. Burial was at Palm Springs Mausoleum in Cathedral City.
The family suggests contributions be made to the American Heart Association.
He was born June 20, 1932, in Orrville, to William Howard and Margaret (Smith) Kieffer and married Elta Louise Hershey on Sept. 6, 1952, in Orrville. She survives.
Other survivors include children, Debbie Parker of West Hills, Calif., Jackie Shusterman of Redondo Beach, Calif., Jennifer Kies of Sylmar, Calif., Bill Kieffer of Indiana, and Jon Kieffer of Santa Clarita, Calif.; nine grandchildren; his mother of Las Vegas, Nev.; and a sister, Roberta Shephard of Las Vegas, Nev.

Linda Miller
FREDERICKSBURG -- Linda J. Miller, infant daughter of John J. and Verna (Weaver) Miller, 6625 Township Road 607, was stillborn Friday, Feb. 9, 2001, at Dunlap Memorial Hospital in Orrville.
Services were held Friday, Feb. 9, at the residence, with Bishop Mart R. Miller officiating Burial was at Weaver Cemetery.
Arrangements were handled by Murray Funeral Home in Fredericksburg.
Surviving in addition to her parents are brothers, Mervin and Dennis, both of the home; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jonas W. Miller of Millersburg and Mr. and Mrs. Atlee Weaver of Fredericksburg; and great-grandparents, Lester Schlabach and Sam M. Miller, both of Holmesville and Mr. and Mrs. Emanuel A. Weaver of Shreve.

Brenda Murray
LODI -- Brenda J. Murray, 30, 113 S. Academy St., Lodi, formerly of Rittman, died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2001, at Akron General Medical Center.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Gillman Funeral Home in Rittman, with James A. Foster officiating. Burial will be at Rittman Cemetery.
Friends may call tonight (Tuesday) from 6-9 at the funeral home.

She was born Oct. 6, 1970, in Wooster, to Jerry and Barbara (Gunnels) Stamp.
Surviving are daughters, Shawnta Marie and Katrena Rayann, both of the home; her father and stepmother, Jerry and Kathy Stamp of Marshallville; her mother and stepfather, Barbara and Allen Bell of Naples, Fla.; half-brothers, Adam Stamp of Doylestown and Jason Stamp of Marshallville; and her grandfather, Ulys Gunnels of Rittman.

Harold Rohr
UNIONTOWN, Pa. -- Harold R. Rohr, 76, of Uniontown, Pa., formerly of Wooster, died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2001.
Funeral Mass will be held today (Tuesday) at 9:30 at St. John Roman Catholic Church in Uniontown, Pa. Burial will be at Mount Macrina Cemetery in Uniontown, Pa.
Arrangements are being handled by Haky Funeral Home in Uniontown, Pa.
Memorial contributions may be made to Green Gardeners Memorial Fund, 311 Derrick Ave., Uniontown, Pa. 15401.
He was born Aug. 4, 1924, in Wooster, to James and Dorothy (Bresson) Rohr.
Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Kathleen (Hummel) Rohr; a sister, Kathleen Nelson of New Mexico; and several nieces and nephews.

Jack Myers
WOOSTER -- Jack Myers, D.D.S., 83, 220 Imgard St., died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2001, in the emergency room at Wooster Community Hospital.
Services will be Thursday at 3 p.m. at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster, with the Rev. Evelyn Manzella officiating. Burial will be at Wooster Cemetery.
Friends may call Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

He was born Jan. 24, 1918, in Defiance County, to John J. and Merle (Fullmer) Myers and married Erma Adams on June 21, 1941. She survives.
Other survivors include children, Mark C. (Judy) Myers of Taos, N.M., Max R. (Patti) Myers of St. Petersburg, Fla., Margo E. (Ralph) Miller of Wooster and Michael E. (Pam) Myers of Ormond Beach, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Ralph Metz
WOOSTER -- Ralph H. Metz, 92, of Metz Road, died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2001, at West View Manor Nursing Home, following a lengthy illness.
Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Oak Grove Cemetery in Shreve with the Rev. Ken Scheck officiating.
There will be no calling hours.
Memorial contributions may be made to Salem Lutheran Church, 4873 Cleveland Road, Wooster 44691.
Arrangements are being handled by Murray Funeral Home in Creston.
He was born May 12, 1908, in Canaan Township, to Elmore L. and Della (Bersch) Metz and married Evelyn Marie Foltz on Sept. 14, 1935. She survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three sons, Gary Metz, Ross Metz and Keith and his wife Mary, Metz, all of Wooster; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and two sisters, Verda Dorland of Wooster and Hazel and her husband, Lewis Gerbhardt of Vero Beach, Fla.

Dwight Walter
CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- Dwight D. Walter, 55, of Cranberry Township, Pa. died Friday evening, Feb. 9, 2001, at Wooster Community Hospital Emergency Room.
There will be no services. Cremation has taken place. Custer-Glenn Funeral Home, Wooster, is handling arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association, 4916 Hills and Dales Road, Canton.
He was born Sept. 7, 1945 in Ellwood City, Pa., to Daniel A. and Ruth I. (Marsh) Walter and married Deborah S. Barker on June 10, 1967 in Zelienople, Pa. She survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Matthew Dwight Walter of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Jacob (Angela L.) Valdez of Irving, Texas; three sisters, Miriam R. Pennington, Lisa E. and Valerie J. Walter, all of Zelienople, Pa.

James Lightner
ASHLAND -- James Blair Lightner, 83, of Ashland, died Monday, Feb. 12, 2001, at Oak Grove Manor in Mansfield, after a short illness.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Emmanuel United Methodist Church, with Pastor Ignatius David officiating. Burial will be at Ashland Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
Friends may call Thursday from 7-9 p.m.. at Van Hove Funeral Home in Ashland.
Memorial contributions may be made to Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 322 Cleveland Ave., Ashland 44805.
He was born Feb. 21, 1917, in Wooster, to Lewis Blair and Edythe (Karns) Lightner and married Jane Denbow on Aug. 16, 1941. She survives.
Other survivors include daughters, Cynthia J. Yeater of Brownburg, Ind., and Cathy S. (Richard) Henry of Mansfield; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Thelma (Lightner) Campbell of Haslett, Mich.

Charles Kreider
RITTMAN -- Charles S. Kreider, 85, died Monday, Feb. 12, 2001, at Rittman Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. He was formerly of Wadsworth.
Services will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Wadsworth First Christian Church, 116 E. Boyer St., with the Rev. James L. Singleton and Pastor Leslie F. Critchfield officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery.
Friends may call Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Hilliard & Mullaney Funeral Home in Wadsworth.
Memorial contributions may be made to Trent-Kelly/Brubaker Youth Memorial Fund, in care of First Christian Church; or Wadsworth Peace Fellowship.
He was born in Wadsworth.
Surviving are his wife, Martha (Ramseyer) Wirt Kreider, whom he married in 1974; sons, Jan (Dorothy) Kreider of Boulder, Colo., Gerald (Karen) Kreider of Royersford, Pa., Robert (Debra) Wirt of Middlefield and James (Sheila) Wirt of Houston; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mildred Rowe of Springfield, Mo.
His first wife, Lois Mae Etta (Yoder) Kreider, died previously.
