Ollie Findley
LODI -- Ollie L. Findley, 81, of Lodi, died Monday, Aug. 20, 2001, at Akron General Medical Center.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Parker & Son Funeral Home, 210 Medina St., Lodi, with the Rev. David Howell officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Lodi.
Friends may call Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
She was born Feb. 22, 1920, in Loft Creek, Ky. She married Glenn Findley. He died in 2000.
Surviving are many nieces and nephews.

Pauline Horst
COLUMBIANA -- Pauline Horst, 74, 350 Firestone Ave., died Monday, Aug. 20, 2001, from cancer, at Greenbriar Center, Boardman, where she had been for one month.
She is the mother of Mrs. Ralph (Joanne) Lehman of Apple Creek.
A public memorial service will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Leetonia Mennonite Church in Leetonia with the Rev. Robert Yoder officiating. Private burial will be Thursday at Midway Mennonite Cemetery.
Friends may call tonight (Wednesday) from 6-9 at Leetonia Mennonite Church.
Family suggests memorial contributions be made to Hope Lodge, 11432 Mayfield Road, Cleveland 44106 or Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market St., Youngstown 44512.
Arrangements are being handled by Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home, Columbiana.
She was born March 17, 1927, in Leetonia, to Harvey and Olive (Myers) Martin.
Surviving in addition to her daughter of Apple Creek are her husband, Melvin Ezra Horst, whom she married Sept. 24, 1949; daughters, Mrs. John (Melva) Huebert of North Lima and Mrs. Karen Cobb of Santa Fe, N.M.; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Richard (Mary) Conrad of Louisville and two brothers, Wilbur Martin and Herbert Martin, both of Columbiana.

Raymond Losey
CANTON -- Raymond R. Losey, 86, of Canton, died Sunday evening, Aug. 19, 2001, at his home.
He is the father and father-in-law of Linda L. and Robert Schenk of Louisville, Ky., formerly of the Wooster area.
Services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home, South Cleveland Ave., Canton, with Carl Baldwin officiating. Burial will be at North Lawn Cemetery.
Friends may call tonight (Wednesday) from 6-9 at the funeral home.
Surviving in addition to his daughter and son-in-law are his wife, Beulah; daughter and son-in-law, Darla and Robert Brumbaugh of Canton; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a stepdaughter and her husband, Doris and Carl Baldwin of Canton; three stepsons, Jim Medley of Canton, John and his wife, Judy Medley of Canton, Harry Medley of North Canton; 13 step-grandchildren; 20 step-great-grandchildren; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Doris Raisbeck and Helen and Forrest Fox, all of Easton, Pa.
His first wife, Evelyn Kaser Losey, died in 1984.

Dirk Wilkening
GRANVILLE -- Word has been received of the death of Dirk Wilkening of Granville and formerly of Wooster, on Sunday, Aug. 12, 2001.
Dirk Wilkening, 40, is the son of Professor William Wilkening and Dorothy Wilkening of 760 Spring, Apt. 316, Medford, Oregon 97501.
Dirk Wilkening was born in Cincinnati on June 6, 1961.
Mr. Wilkening is also survived by a brother, Dr. and Mrs. Kurt Wilkening, and their two daughters, Medford, Oregon.

Dr. Daniel Thomas Jr.
WOOSTER -- Daniel L. Thomas Jr., D.V.M., 84, 758 Greenwood Blvd., died Sunday afternoon, Aug. 19, 2001, at Wooster Community Hospital.
Memorial services will be announced later by McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, Wooster.
Those who wish may contribute to Pilot Dogs, in care of James Pitman, secretary, Wooster Noon Lions, 8839 Fox Lake Road, Sterling 44276.
He was born Dec. 4, 1916, in Cleveland, to Daniel L. and Lucille (Wheatley) Thomas Sr.
Surviving are his wife, Virginia (Overton) Thomas, whom he married June 21, 1940; a son, Jeff of Columbus; daughter and son-in-law, Janie and John Bryant of Mount Vernon; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and two brothers, Alan of Cape May, N.J. and William of Ashley.

Jeffery Osborne
YOUNTVILLE, Calif. -- Jeffery Ray Osborne, 51, of Yountville, Calif., and formerly of Orrville, died Monday, Aug. 20, 2001, at the home he shared with his mother.
There will be no services as per his request.
His family has requested memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Napa Valley, 3299 Claremont Way, Napa, Calif. 94558.
Arrangements are being handled by Richard Pierce Funeral Service, Napa, Calif.
He was born in Salem to Duane and Charlotte Osborne.
Surviving in addition to his mother are a sister and brother-in-law, Teri and Jeff Johnson; stepchildren, Ian and Selene Crull and nephews.

Howard Myers
PERRYSVILLE -- Howard Ellsworth "Mike" Myers, 86, 198 W. Third St., died Sunday evening, Aug. 19, 2001, at MedCentral/Mansfield Hospital, following a three-month illness.
Services will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Byerly-Lindsey Funeral Home, Loudonville, with the Rev. Howard Burnett officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Perrysville.
Friends may call today (Tuesday) from 2-4 and 6-8 at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Green-Perrysville Fire Department, in care of Glenn Atkinson, 162 W. Second St., Perrysville 44864.
He was born July 6, 1915, in Perrysville, to Eugene M. and Sylvia Belle (Etzwiler) Myers and married Mable E. Lewis on Nov. 18, 1944. She survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a brother, Kenneth E. Myers of Ashland; and two sisters, Peggy Young of Loudonville and Luluann Trumpower of Galion.

Sarah Schlabach
FREDERICKSBURG -- Sarah L. Schlabach, 80, 5228 County Road 229, died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2001, in her home after a period of declining health.
Services will be Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. at the residence, with Bishop Andy Keim officiating. Burial will be at Hershberger Cemetery, Salt Creek Township, Wayne County.
Friends may call anytime at the residence. Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton, is handling arrangements.
She was born April 22, 1921, in Holmes County to Levi S. and Mary (Miller) Mast and married Jonas E. Schlabach on Nov. 21, 1946. He survives.
Other survivors include children, Mrs. Henry C. (Mary) Troyer, Daniel (Naomi) Schlabach and Levi (Kathy) Schlabach, all of Apple Creek, Mrs. Henry (Verna) Yoder of Fredericksburg, Mattie Schlabach and Jonas (Emma) Schlabach Jr., both of the home; 38 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; sisters, Verna Hochstetler of Millersburg, Mattie and Mary Mast, both of Fredericksburg and Mrs. Joe (Susie) Helmuth of Cashton, Wis.; and brothers, Sam Mast of Fredericksburg and Emanuel Mast of Apple Creek.

C. Keith Fulton
NAVARRE -- C. Keith Fulton, 80, of Navarre, died Monday, Aug. 20, 2001, at Massillon Community Hospital, following an extended illness.
Memorial services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Spidell Funeral Home in Brewster with the Rev. Roger Kurzen officiating. Cremation has taken place and his ashes will be buried in Greenlawn Cemetery in Wilmot.
There will be no calling hours.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association or to the Wilderness Center.
He was born Feb. 17, 1921, in Brewster, to Clyde and Dolly (Salmon) Fulton and married Mary Jane Yoder on Sept. 12, 1942. She survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are a daughter, Mrs. James (Linda) Hysong of Brewster; three sons, David Fulton of Navarre, Todd Fulton of Brewster and Douglas Fulton of Canton; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Richard (Eileen) Hunsinger of Brewster and Mrs. Walter (Ruthann) Kurzen of Stanwood.

Ward Young
WOOSTER -- A graveside memorial service for Ward Young, 73, of St. Cloud, Fla. and formerly of Wooster, will be Thursday, Aug. 23, at 1 p.m. at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Mr. Young died May 24, 2001, in St. Cloud, Fla.

Irene Bookman
BIG PRAIRIE -- Irene Bookman, 63, of Big Prairie, died Saturday morning, Aug. 18, 2001, at her home after an extended illness.
Services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, with the Rev. David Carrick officiating. Burial will be at Nashville Cemetery.
Friends may call Monday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
She was born Jan. 30, 1938, in Layland to Ford Russell and Goldie S. (Randles) Fortune and married Ralph Bookman on July 14, 1956. He died April 7, 1987.
Surviving are brothers, Paul (Donna) Fortune of Ashland, George (Sherrie) Fortune of Gallion and Clarence (Sandy) Fortune of Big Prairie; sisters, Delores (Ken) Norman of Mount Eaton, Martha (Bob) Thomas of Jeromesville and Shirley (James) Sellers of Reedsburg; and a sister-in-law, Emma Fortune of Ashland.

Rolland Clinton
ORRVILLE -- Rolland S. Clinton, 84, 954 S. Vine St., and a resident of Regency Park Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Orrville, since March 2001, died Saturday morning, Aug. 18, 2001 at Aultman Hospital in Canton, after a long illness.
Graveside services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Crown Hill Cemetery, Orrville, where military rites will be held. The Rev. Ken Baldwin will officiate.
There will be no calling hours. Auble Funeral Home in Orrville, is handling arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 925 S. Main St., North Canton 44720.
He was born Feb. 27, 1917, in Akron to Theo H. and Mary (Sense) Clinton and married Evelyn L. Frey on July 26, 1935, in Cumberland, W.Va. She survives.
Other survivors include a son, Richard "Dick" (Joyce) Clinton of Georgetown, Texas; grandsons, Rick Clinton of Dallas, and Scott (Christine) Clinton of Fort Worth, Texas; a great-grandson, Garret Clinton of Forth Worth, Texas; a brother, Raymond Clinton of Winter Haven, Fla.; and sisters, Roberta Etling of De Land, Fla., and Rozetta Eggeman of Fern Park, Fla.

Tracie Kerr
LODI -- Tracie E. Kerr, 98, of Lodi, died Saturday, Aug. 18, 2001, at her home.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Parker & Son Funeral Home in Lodi, with the Rev. David Howell officiating. Burial will be at Newkirk Cemetery in Big Prairie.
Friends may call Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
She was born June 3, 1903, in Shreve, to Walter and Charlotte (Davis) Kerr and married Francis William Kerr. He died in 1963.
Surviving are sons, Rex William (Nancy) Kerr of Loudonville, Donald Raymond Kerr and Glenn (Linda) Kerr, both of Lodi; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Hazel Lozier of Wooster and Lucille Crofoot of Amherst.

Estella Allen
ORRVILLE -- Estella H. Allen, 89, 226 E. Water St., died Friday, Aug. 17, 2001, at Regency Park Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Orrville, where she had resided for one year.
Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Orrville, with the Rev. Robert Golson officiating. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery, Orrville.
Friends may call one hour prior to the services at the church.
Arrangements are being handled by Auble Funeral Home in Orrville.
Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, 12720 Burton City Road, Orrville 44667.
She was born Aug. 1, 1912, in Brookport, Ill., to J. Logan and Lou Harris and married Jesse Allen on May 25, 1935, in New Hampshire. He died Jan. 31, 1973.
Surviving are several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

Katie Raber
WILMOT -- Katie Raber, 92, 2005 U.S. 62, died Sunday morning, Aug. 19, 2001, at her home after a brief illness.
Services will be Wednesday at 9 a.m. at the residence, with Bishop Aden J. Hershberger officiating. Burial will be at Hershberger Cemetery, Wayne Township, Tuscarawas County.
Friends may call anytime at the residence. Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton, is handling arrangements.
She was born Nov. 28, 1908, in Charm to Emanuel J. and Sarah (Schlabach) Miller and married John A. Raber on Jan. 1, 1929. He died Aug. 24, 1987.
Surviving are children, Mrs. Paul (Esta) Yoder of Winesburg, Aden J. Raber of the home and Owen Raber of Dover; 11 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.

James Troutman
BIG PRAIRIE -- James R. Troutman, 58, 7671 State Route 514, died Thursday, Aug. 16, 2001, at Akron General Medical Center.
Services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home, Sherwood Chapel, Wooster, with the Rev. Delaine McGhee officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call Monday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bethel United Methodist Church, Heiffer Project, 2450 N. Firestone Road, Wooster 44691; or to the James Troutman Memorial Fund, in care of Wayne County National Bank, 122 W. Liberty St., Wooster 44691.
He was born Jan. 18, 1943, in Wooster, to Clyde and Betty (Finn) Troutman and married Dianna Ferris on Oct. 26, 1979. She survives.
Other survivors include children, Nancy (Brad) Walker of Ashland, Linda Troutman of Wooster, Steven and Jayson "JR" Troutman, both of Big Prairie; a grandson; his father of Shreve; his mother, Betty Shoemaker of Millersburg; a brother, Paul Stevens of Wooster; half-brothers, Rick and Larry and a half-sister, Shelly.

Polly Schlabach
BALTIC -- Polly A. Schlabach, 87, 1673 State Route 643, died Friday, Aug. 17, 2001, at Pomerene Hospital in Millersburg, after a brief illness.
Services will be Monday at 9 a.m. at the residence, with Bishop Melvin J. Miller officiating. Burial will be at Schlabach Cemetery, Clark Township, Holmes County.
Friends may call anytime today (Saturday) after noon at the residence.
Arrangements are being handled by Smith Funeral Home in Sugarcreek.
She was born Aug. 27, 1913, in Alabama, to Albert J. and Susanna (Zook) Schlabach.
Surviving are sisters, Mary (Andrew) Troyer of Sugarcreek and Saloma and Emma Schlabach, both of the home; a brother, Ervin A. (Mary) Schlabach of Millersburg; and many nieces and nephews.

Delmer Scheufler
WINESBURG -- Delmer R. Scheufler, 79, of Winesburg, died Friday morning, Aug. 17, 2001, at Country Lawn Nursing Home in Harmon, after a period of declining health.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Longenecker Mennonite Church near Winesburg, with Pastor Glenn Coblentz officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton, or one hour prior to the services at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Longenecker Mennonite Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 112, Winesburg 44690.
He was born Sept. 21, 1921, near Winesburg to Karl and Anna (Hochstetler) Scheufler and married Susana Kuhns on Jan. 26, 1947. She died Aug. 1, 1986. On Nov. 28, 1986, he married Sarah (Miller) Hershberger. She survives.
Other survivors include children, Carol (John) Weyandt and Darlene (Robert) Edinger, both of Wilmot, Clyde (Ruth) Scheufler and Garry (Carol) Scheufler, both of Dalton; stepchildren, Betty (Ken) White of Lima and Paul Hershberger of North Canton; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; brothers, Earl and Raymond Scheufler, both of Winesburg; and a sister, Bernetha Kline of Richville.

Dorothea Queberg
LODI -- Dorothea A. Queberg, 84, of Lafayette Township, died Friday, Aug. 17, 2001, after a short battle with cancer.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Parker & Son Funeral Home in Lodi, with Pastor Floyd Costello officiating. Burial will be at Friendsville Cemetery.
Friends may call Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Lafayette United Methodist Church, 6201 Lafayette Road, Medina 44256.
She was born July 26, 1917, in Leroy to Frederick and Myrtle (Griffin) Daniels and was married to Chester Queberg for 60 years. He survives.
Other survivors include a son, Robert (Diann) Queberg of Lafayette; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty (Ralph) Gunkelman and Gracie (Duane) Fulton and a brother, James (Gloria) Daniels, all of Lodi.

Charles Hendershot
WOOSTER -- Charles J. Hendershot, 79, formerly of Gasche Street, died Thursday, Aug. 16, 2001, at Horn Nursing Home.
Private services will be Monday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, with Brother Jerry Wyant officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
Arrangements are being handled by McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Wayne County, 2525-A Back Orrville Road, Wooster 44691.
He was born April 8, 1922, in Graysville to Charles A. and Della (Green) Hendershot and married Madaline "Peggy" Hall on Aug. 2, 1944. She survives.
Other survivors include children, Connie J. Chio of Wooster and James R. (Pat) Hendershot of Medina; grandchildren, Jill (Michael) Lifer and Jason (Salena) Chio, both of Jeromesville and Kristine Hendershot of Medina; and great-grandchildren, Sarah Lifer, Skyler, Dylan and Jacob Chio.
