Elmer Brammer
WOOSTER -- Elmer E. Brammer, 87, of Wooster and formerly of Lodi, passed away Monday, Oct. 28, 2002, at Wooster Community Hospital.
He was born Aug. 18, 1915, in St. Marys, W.Va. to Redmond and Florence (Campbell) Brammer.
Surviving are his wife, Anne; a daughter, Leola Carmany of Clovis, Calif.; a son, Larry Brammer of Savannah, Ga. and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Leona Louise Brammer.
Services will be held Saturday, Nov. 2, at 11 a.m. at Parker & Son Funeral Home, 210 Medina St., Lodi, with the Rev. Glenn Royer officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Lodi.
Calling hours will be Friday from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice in his name.

Iva Shoolroy
WOOSTER -- Iva Hosler Shoolroy passed away on Oct. 30, 2002. She was born on Dec. 10, 1917, in Columbus.
Surviving are her son, Samuel P. Stewart of New Orleans, La.; her daughters, Judith L. Fountain of Reno, Nev. and Sarah A. Cecil of St. Michaels, Md.; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. In 1960, Iva married Ross Stoler Shoolroy. Ross has three sons, Clifton of San Francisco, Calif., Brian of Richmond, Va. and Michael of Halley, Idaho and six grandchildren.
There will be a private graveside service on Saturday at Wooster Cemetery.
Those who wish may make contributions to the Parkinson's Society of Ohio, 371 McCampbell Hall, 1581 Dodd Drive, Columbus 43210-1296.
Arrangements are by McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster 44691 (330) 262-7771.

Benjamin Singleton
MILLERSBURG -- Benjamin Singleton, 71, of Millersburg and formerly of New Castle, Ind., died Tuesday morning, Oct. 29, 2002, at Aultman Hospital in Canton, following an extended illness.
Graveside services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery, Millersburg, with the Rev. Karl Stonebraker officiating. Military rites will be conducted by Millersburg American Legion Post No. 192.
Friends may call tonight (Thursday) from 6-8 at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg.
Family suggests memorial contributions be made to Holmes County Hospice, 931 Wooster Road, Millersburg 44654.
He was born Oct. 7, 1931, in New Castle, Ind., to Urban and Agnes (Keifer) Singleton. On Aug. 31, 1963, he married Linda Pierce and she survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are, a son, John Singleton of Indianapolis, Ind.; a daughter, Sally Singleton of Pensacola, Fla. and a grandson.

Bud Trussel Jr.
HOLMESVILLE -- Bud Trussel Jr., 78, of Holmesville, died Wednesday morning, Oct. 30, 2002, at Pomerene Hospital in Millersburg, following an extended illness.
Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Alexander Funeral Home with the Rev. Brian Powell officiating. Burial will be at Killbuck Cemetery with military rites being conducted by Killbuck Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Friends may call Friday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
He was born Dec. 19, 1923, in Millersburg to Bud and Anna (Degler) Trussel Sr. and married Bessie Chaney on Dec. 21, 1946. She survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are six children and their spouses, Sharon and John Mackey of Holmesville, Linda and Larry Harter of Millersburg, Rex and Regina Trussel of Holmesville, Robert and Carol Gisinger of Millersburg and Theodore and Peggy Gisinger of Marshallville; 19 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy Landis of Navarre and a brother, Carl Trussel of Canton.

Elizabeth Gleason
CHIPPEWA TOWNSHIP -- Elizabeth R. "Betsy" Gleason, 52, died Monday, Oct. 28, 2002.
Memorial service will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Highland High School on Route 94.
The family requests donations be made to Highland High School Science Department, 3880 Ridge Road, Medina 44256.
She was born Jan. 9, 1950, in Akron to J. Byron and Ruth (Zesager) Rea and married Neil O. Gleason on Sept. 19, 1970. He survives.
Surviving in addition to her husband are twin daughters, Ann (Greg) Castellarin of Hudson and Emily Gleason of Stow; a son, Jeff Gleason of Chippewa Township and brothers, David Rea of Seattle and Jim Rea of Colorado.

Julia Nussbaum
DALTON -- Julia Margaret Nussbaum, six-day-old daughter of Jason and Shannon (Day) Nussbaum of Dalton, died Monday evening, Oct. 28, 2002, at Children's Hospital Medical Center of Akron.
Services will be Thursday at 3 p.m. at Living Water Community Church in Dalton with the Revs. Mike McFarren and John Graham officiating. Burial will be in Kidron Mennonite Church Cemetery.
Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help defray medical expenses.
Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton is handling arrangenments.
She was born in Orrville on Oct. 22, 2002.
Surviving in addition to her parents are grandparents, Gary and Pearl Nussbaum of Dalton, Richard Day of Navarre and Paulette Candusso of Canton; great-grandparents, Jesse Nussbaum of Dalton and Margaret Day of Navarre.

Clifford Rowe
MILLERSBURG -- Clifford Edward Rowe, 85, of Millersburg, died Monday, Oct. 28, 2002, after a short illness.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, with Lawrence, his nephew, officiating. Burial will be at Killbuck Cemetery with military rites being conducted by Killbuck Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Friends may call tonight (Wednesday) from 7-9 at the funeral home.
Family suggests memorial contributions be made to Alexander Funeral Home, P.O. Box 108, Millersburg 44654.
He was born Jan. 16, 1917, in Mount Hope and was the son of William and Clara (Clay) Rowe. On Aug. 4, 1941, he married Leora Chaney and she survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are five children and their spouses, Robert and Lucy Rowe of Killbuck, James and Lisa Rowe of Millersburg, Chuck and Sindy Rowe of Ashland, Cathy and Bud Anderson of Moundsville, W.Va. and Brenda and Ivan Raber of Millersburg; a sister, Hattie Hoover of Millersburg; 17 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter.

Glen Ullman Sr.
RITTMAN -- Glen H. Ullman Sr., 75, 176 Wayne St., died Monday, Oct. 28, 2002, at Wadsworth-Rittman Hospital.
Graveside services and burial of cremains will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Rittman Cemetery with the Rev. James E. Watt officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Wayne County Unit, in care of Wooster Clinic, 1740 Cleveland Road, Wooster 44691.
Arrangements are being handled by Gillman Funeral Home in Rittman.
He was born on Oct. 20, 1927, in Woodsfield, to Clarence C. and Vada M. (Roth) Ullman.
Surviving are his wife, Murl; sons, Jim (Sara) Ullman and Bill Ullman, both of Rittman and Jack (Debbie) Ullman of Clinton; eight grandchildren; brothers, Brady (Edna) Ullman, Virgil (Iona) Ullman and Dean Ullman, all of Rittman, and Thurman (Beulah) Ullman of Smithville; sisters, Catherine (Robert) Meade and Donna Isaac, both of Rittman.

Evangeline Bealer
MOUNT VICTORY -- Evangeline Bealer, 71, of Mount Victory, died Thursday, Oct. 24, 2002, at her residence.
Memorial service will be today (Tuesday) at 1 p.m. at Price Funeral Home in Mount Victory with the Rev. Mike Gillett officiating. Burial will be at Wolfcreek Cemetery.
Friends may call today (Tuesday) from 11:30 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Byhalia Friends Church or Ridgemont Public Library.
She was born June 21, 1931, in Union County to Zelotes and Daisy (Summers) Bealer.
She is survived by several cousins.

Susan Begert
ORRVILLE -- Susan C. Begert, 72, 340 Wabash Ave., died Monday, Oct. 28, 2002, at her residence.
Memorial services will be Thursday at 7 p.m. at Gresser Funeral Home in Orrville with Pastor Walter Jordon officiating. Burial of the ashes will be at Paradise Cemetery on Friday at 10 a.m.
Friends may call on Thursday from 6-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association of Ohio, 1300 Christmas Seal Drive NW, Canton 44709-3398.
She was born Jan. 20, 1930 in Port Huron, Mich. to George H. and Nina Louise (Powrie) Portwood and married Walter F. Begert on July 31, 1948. He died March 6, 1983.
Surviving are two sons, Dennis (Cynthia) Begert of Neillsville, Wis. and Greg Begert of Orrville; two daughters, Julie (Dennis) Arnold and Jackie (Todd) Samsa, both of Orrville; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Josephine Jameson
WOOSTER -- Josephine A. (Pliszka) Jameson, 82, of Wooster and formerly of Avon, died Saturday, Oct. 26, 2002, at Smithville-Western Care Center, following complications of a stroke.
Services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Busch-Burmeister Family Chapel, 32000 Detroit Road, Avon, with Fr. Arthur Egan officiating.
Friends may call today (Tuesday) from 2-4 and 7-9 at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
She was born Nov. 29, 1919, in Oil City, Pa., to Stanley and Anna (Helenyak) Pliszka and married Wayne Jameson. He died previously.
Surviving are four sons, James (Bronwyn) Jameson of Jersey City, N.J., Thomas (Anchi) Jameson of Madison, Gary (Dianna) Jameson of Dalton and Lance (Johanna) Jameson of Avon; 10 grandchildren and two sisters, Mary Leska of Lorain and Jennie Jenkins of Scottsdale, Ariz.

Lillian Allen
JOHNSTOWN -- Lillian Genevieve Allen, 83, formerly of Jeromesville and Medina, died Friday, October 25, 2002, at Northview Senior Living Center in Johnstown.
Services will be Tuesday, October 29, at 11 a.m. at Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville with Pastor Beryl Baum officiating. Burial will be at the Jeromesville Cemetery.
Friends may call one hour prior to services on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Contributions may be made to Hospice Services of Licking County, 1984A Coffman Road, Newark 43055-1348.
She was born April 17, 1919, in Denver, Colo., the daughter of John C. and Lillian (Stringer) Allen.
She is survived by a brother, John Wesley Allen of Johnstown.

Helen Bell
SHREVE -- Helen M. Bell, 84, of Water Street died Saturday, October 26, 2002, at Sunset View Nursing Home, Millersburg.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Big Prairie Community Bible Church in Big Prairie with the Rev. Kristine Westbeld officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at Schlabach Funeral Home, Shreve, and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Wayne County, 2525-A Back Orrville Road, Wooster 44691, or the Big Prairie Community Bible Church, P.O. Box 112, Big Prairie 44611.
Helen was born June 9, 1918, in Princeton to Elmer Winferd and Grace (Shuman) Akins. She married John Mellor on Dec. 16, 1934, and he died July 21, 1965. She then married Earl B. Bell on March 24, 1967, and he died March 9, 2001.
She is survived by three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Thayne Black
SHREVE -- Thayne A. Black, 95, of Shreve and formerly of East Sparta, died Sunday morning, Oct. 27, 2002, at Smithville-Western Care Center in Wooster.
Graveside services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at East Sparta Cemetery with Pastor Matthew A. Diehl officiating.
Friends may call Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. at the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia.
He was born in Chardon to Charles and Mattie (Parsons) Black.
Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Gary and Nancy Black of East Sparta and Zane Black of Shreve; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
His wife, Irene E. Black, died on Oct. 16, 1981.

Russell Butler
CRESTON -- Russell W. "Rusty" Butler, 39, 12800 Cleveland Road, died Sunday afternoon, Oct. 27, 2002, at Regency Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Orrville following a short illness.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call Tuesday from 2-4:30 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Rusty Butler Memorial Fund in care of Wayne Savings Community Bank in Wooster.
He was born June 21, 1963, in Wooster to Russell L. and Colleen (McComas) Butler.
Surviving are two sons, Cory and Tyler, both of Big Prairie; his father and stepmother, Russell Butler and Dorothy Roeder of Fredericksburg; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Jeff L. Butler of Shreve and Raymond S. and Ruthy Butler of Creston; a sister, Jeanette D. Young of Wooster; four nieces and three nephews, a stepbrother and four stepsisters and his former wife, Heather (Snell) Butler of Big Prairie.
