ORRVILLE -- Ruth Marie Kimber, 86, formerly of West Oak Street, died Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2002, at Brenn-Field Nursing Center in Orrville, where she had resided the last several years.
Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Auble Funeral Home in Orrville with the Rev. Ike Graham officiating. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville.
Friends may call Saturday from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Contributions may be made to Wayne County Committee for Crippled Children and Adults, in care of James Swinehart, P.O. Box 406, Wooster OH 44691 or to Orrville Grace Brethren Church, 2200 Paradise Road, Orrville OH 44667.
She was born March 10, 1916 in Apple Creek to Joseph F. and Lucy (Dilgard) Kimber.
She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Darrell Pope
CRESTON -- Darrell E. Pope, 43, 123 Carter St., went to be with the Lord on Tuesday evening, Sept. 3, 2002, at his home.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with the Revs. Terry Tareila and James McComas officiating. Burial will be at Creston Maple Mound Cemetery.
Friends may call Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home and one hour prior to services at the funeral home on Saturday.
Memorials may be made to Wadsworth-Rittman Hospice, 102 Main St., No. 304, Wadsworth 44281, Creston Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 181, Creston 44217 or to Norwayne Athletic Boosters, in care of Jan Stellar, 2677 E. Sterling Road, Creston 44217.
Surviving are his wife, Martha; children, Tiffany, age 14 and David, age 12, both of the home; his mother, Norma Pope of Creston; sister, Shelly and husband, Frank Boscia and children, Tony and Adrena of Seville; mother and father-in-law, Claude and Ruth Moss of Seville; sister and brother-in-law, Melinda and Paul Metheney of Charlotte, N.C.; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, David, in 1982.

Ian Reeder
RITTMAN -- Ian Curtis Reeder, infant son of Edward and Peggy (Daniels) Reeder, died at birth Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2002, at Medina General Hospital.
Graveside services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Rittman Cemetery with the Rev. John W. Castle officiating. Gillman Funeral Home in Rittman is handling arrangements.
There will be no calling hours.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help defray expenses in care of the Gillman Funeral Home, P.O. Box 81, Rittman 44270.
Surviving in addition to his parents are a sister, Rebecca Jean Reeder of the home; grandparents, Edward and Cindy Reeder of Rittman, Pat and Terry Daniels of Creston; great-grandparents, Wanda Caudill of Rittman, Leonard and Bonnie Hartman of Rittman, and Calvin and Jean Williams of Beckley, W.Va.

Galen Swartzentruber
WOOSTER -- Galen W. Swartzentruber, 53, 846 Country Club Drive, died Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2002, at his residence.
Services will be Saturday, Sept. 7, 2002, at 2 p.m. at Central Christian Church, Disciples of Christ in Wooster with the Revs. Kevin Phipps and Ernie Hershberger officiating. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville.
Friends may call at the Berlin Mennonite Church on Friday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Also at the Central Christian Church in Wooster from 11 a.m. until service time on Saturday.
Gresser Funeral Home in Orrville is handling the arrangements.

He was born Oct. 20, 1948, in Millersburg to Eli A. and Lula (Stutzman) Swartzentruber and married Linda Markley on Aug. 21, 1980. She survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eli A. Swartzentruber of Berlin; brothers and sisters-in-law, Carl and Jodi Swartzentruber of Berlin, Merle and Jody Swartzentruber of Sugarcreek and Lynn and Tina Swartzentruber of Berlin and six nieces and nephews.

Patricia Hicks
DOYLESTOWN -- Patricia Ann Hicks, 45, died Sept. 2, 2002 at Akron General Medical Center.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Zak-Monbarren Funeral Home in Doylestown with the Rev. James Humphrey and Pastor Jerry Butcher officiating.
Friends may call Thursday from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Patty Hicks Memorial Fund, in care of Chippewa Valley Bank, 25 S. Portage St., Doylestown 44230.
She was born April 6, 1957, in Barberton to Earl and Irene (Daniels) Baughman. She married Chuck Hicks on June 17, 1977.
She is survived by husband, Chuck of Doylestown; children, Melissa, Bessie, Jeremy and Veronica Hicks, all of Doylestown; her mother, Irene Baughman of Doylestown; brother, James Baughman of Doylestown and sister Sandy Paulis.

Claudia Jefferies
LOUDONVILLE -- Claudia F. Jefferies, 75, 317 Wales Drive, died Monday afternoon, Sept. 2, 2002, at MedCentral/Mansfield Hospital, from injuries sustained in an accident near Bellville.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Byerly-Lindsey Funeral Home, Loudonville, with the Revs. Tom Scott and Randy Weaver officiating. Burial will be at Nashville Cemetery.
Friends may call Thursday from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home, where Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary services will be held at 8:30 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Lakeville United Methodist Church, Lakeville 44638.
She was born April 20, 1927, in Millersburg to Hamilton and Lula (Clark) Martin and married Virgil A. Jefferies on Aug. 4, 1944. He died Jan. 2, 1998.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Harold A. and Gerlene Jefferies of Perrysville; her daughters and sons-in-law, Sherry and David Stillion of Butler and Diana and Brian Wise of Loudonville; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ted Martin of Millersburg and Bernard "Bud" Martin of Nashville and two sisters, Ruth Miller of Millersburg and Beatrice Bowman of Galion.

John Kaylor
DALTON -- John P. Kaylor, 85, 222 Greenbriar, died Wednesday night, Aug. 28, 2002, in Dalton, following a short illness.
Services were held Tuesday, Sept. 3, at Auble Funeral Home in Orrville. Fr. Robert Kaylor and the Rev. Mike McHale officiated. Burial took place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman where military rites were conducted.
Friends called at the funeral home on Monday from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. A Masonic service was held during the Monday calling at 8 p.m. Online registry and condolences may be left at the funeral home's Web site at www.aublefuneralhome.com.

John was born July 7, 1917, in Beach City, to Wilbur Earl and Mildred (Pfouts) Kaylor and married Betty Jean Neumiller on Nov. 8, 1941. She died in 1993. In 1994 he moved from Dover to Dalton and lived with his devoted companion, Elizabeth "Liz" Simon, for the last eight years.
Surviving are his companion, Liz Simon, two nephews and a great-nephew.

Robert Maye
AKRON -- Robert Burton Maye, 78, died Saturday, Aug. 31, 2002.
He is survived by his wife, Fran; sons, Paul, Philip and Kenneth; siblings, Philip and Alice.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Elizabeth, in 1996.
A memorial service will be Saturday, Sept. 7, 2002, at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Dean Cole officiating, at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 765 Thayer St., Akron.
Contributions may be made to St. Luke's Missions Fund, St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 565 S. Cleveland-Massillon Road, Akron 44333.

Mary Smith
WOOSTER -- Mary Pauline Smith, 83, of Wooster, died Friday, Aug. 30, 2002, at her home.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, Wooster, with the Rev. Cliff Morris officiating. Entombment will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens in Wooster.
Friends may call one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
She was born Jan. 26, 1919, in Flint Springs, Ky., to Eulin and Viola B. (Renfrow) Morris.
Surviving are her husband, Hobert L. Smith of Wooster, whom she married Aug. 15, 1940; a son, Elbert Smith of Wooster; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Franklin Morris and Elmer C. Morris, both of Morgantown, Ky., and Earl Morris of Shreve; and a sister, Lorene Butler of Wooster.

Joseph Turnage
WEST SALEM -- Stella G. Sheely Untied, 98, formerly of Sugarcreek and New Philadelphia and a resident of Coshocton County Home since 1979, died Monday, Sept. 2, 2002, at Coshocton County Home, following a brief illness.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Smith-Geib Funeral Home in Sugarcreek with the Rev. Welton Stein officiating. Burial will be at Dundee Cemetery.

She was born Dec. 22, 1903, in Coshocton County to Chris and Tena (Ley) Lorenz and married Sam Sheely. He died in 1942. She then married Bill Untied. He died in 1974.
Surviving are a son, Gene (Betty) Sheely of Baltic; two daughters, Mrs. Charles (Beverly) Porter of Wooster and Mrs. Harry (Hazel) Strudwich of Friendly, W.Va; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren and three sisters, Opal Trapp of Park Village Health Care Center in Dover, Bertha Wright of New Dawn Health Care Center in Dover and Mrs. Ben (Beulah) Hamlin of New Philadelphia.

Stella Untied
SUGARCREEK -- Mary Pauline Smith, 83, of Wooster, died Friday, Aug. 30, 2002, at her home.
