Dan Weaver
MILLERSBURG -- Dan J. Weaver, 92, 4929 County Road 207, died Sunday, Aug. 4, 2002, at his residence, following an extended illness.
Services will be Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at the Weaver residence with Bishop Aden J. Miller officiating. Burial will be at Miller Cemetery in Berlin Township, Holmes County.
Friends may call anytime at the residence.
Arrangements are being handled by Smith-Geib Funeral Home in Sugarcreek.
He was born Jan. 10, 1910, to John P. and Fannie (Mast) Weaver and married Amanda Yoder on Nov. 25, 1937. She died Nov. 11, 1999.
Surviving are three sons, Eli (Mattie) Weaver of Dundee, Abe (Verna) Weaver of the home and Alvin (Laura) Weaver of Dundee; two daughters, Mrs. Paul (Fannie) Weaver and Mrs. Jacob (Esther) Kline, both of Millersburg; 41 grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; two brothers, Ben Weaver of Fredericksburg and Abe Weaver of Sarasota, Fla. and two sisters, Mrs. Harry (Sarah) Yoder of Blackville, S.C. and Mrs. Malva (Fannie) Shetler of Fredericksburg.

Carl Sheldon
WOOSTER -- Carl D. Sheldon, 76, of Medina, formerly of Wooster, died Saturday, Aug. 3, 2002, at Samaritan Care Center, Medina.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster, with the Rev. Glenn Royer officiating. Private burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery in Canton.
Friends may call one hour prior to the services.
He was born July 24, 1926, in East Sparta to Jay and Bessie (Goon) Sheldon and married Eleanore Jean Wallace on May 1, 1987. She died Sept. 16, 1999.
Surviving are children, Scott A. (Stephanie) Sheldon of Medina, Jay B. (Joni) Sheldon of Mentor and Patti (Timothy) Rohr of West Lafayette; stepsons, Clare V. (Kathy) Johnston of Sebring and James E. Stinebring of Woodsfield; and three grandchildren.

Ivan Yoder
ORRVILLE -- Ivan D. "Pete" Yoder, 66, 5901 Egypt Road, died Saturday, Aug. 3, 2002, at Wooster Community Hospital, after a long illness.
Memorial services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Oak Grove Mennonite Church, Smithville, with the Rev. Norma Duerksen officiating. Private family burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery, Smithville.
Friends may call Tuesday from 9:30-11 a.m. at the church.
Arrangements are being handled by Gresser Funeral Home in Orrville.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Wayne County, 2525-A Back Orrville Road, Wooster 44691.
He was born Aug. 20, 1935, in Minot, N.D., to Alpheus D. and Elnora (Horst) Yoder and married Morrene Musser on July 1, 1955. She survives.
Surviving are sons, Joe (Nancy) Yoder of Marshallville, Mike (Denise) Yoder of Smithville and Jeff (Ann) Yoder of Dalton; six grandchildren; brothers, Chester Yoder of Harrisonburg, Va., and Melvin Yoder of Goshen, Ind.; and sisters, Vera Kurtz of Smithville, Effie Geisinger of Dalton, Helen Yoder of Logansport, Ind., Stella Blosser of Goshen, Ind., Margaret Oyer of Kalona, Iowa and Luella Leighty of Orrville.

Hratchouhi George
ORRVILLE -- Hratchouhi George, 94, formerly of Wabash Avenue, died Friday, Aug. 2, 2002, at Regency Park Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Orrville, after a lingering illness. Hospice of Wayne County helped with her care during her last illness.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Orrville, with the Rev. Dennis Rinehart officiating. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville.
Friends may call Friday from 7-9 p.m. at Auble Funeral Home in Orrville.
Contributions may be made to Orrville City Schools Foundation, 815 N. Ella St., Orrville; First Presbyterian Church, 1830 W. Market St., Orrville 44667; or Hospice of Wayne County, 2525-A Back Orrville Road, Wooster 44691.
She was born March 21, 1908, in Tabriz, Iran, to Hovakim and Yeghsabed Guevorkian.
Surviving are a sister, Guenof Guevorkian; nephews, Ruben (Diana) Tatevossian, Zareh (Satik) Tatevossian and Harmik (Rita) Tatevossian, all of Glendale, Calif., and Henry (Pauline) Tatevossian of Lancaster, Calif.; and many friends and former students.

Cynthia McCullough
WESTERVILLE -- Cynthia A. McCullough, 53, 1180 E. College Ave., died Friday, Aug. 2, 2002, at Dunlap Memorial Hospital in Orrville.
Memorial service will be Monday, Aug. 12, at 7 p.m. at Calvary Assembly of God Church in Orrville, with the Revs. Don Bressette and Jim Zippay officiating. Burial will be at Smithville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends following the service.
Arrangements are being handled by McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster.
Those who wish may make contributions to the Dale and Becky Cuckow Missions, in care of Evangel Assembly of God Church, 1633 Portage Road, Wooster 44691.
She was born Dec. 2, 1948, in Wayne County, to Richard K. and Sue Ellen (Gray) Hooley and married Robert McCullough on April 29, 1996. He survives.
Other survivors include children, Stephanie (Chip) King of Waynesville, Mark Shriver of Dalton and Matt (Shannon) Shriver of Burbank; grandchildren, Jake and Michaela King and Kalei Shriver; her parents of Wooster; brothers, Kenneth (Connie) Hooley of Dunedin, Fla., and Richard (Wendy) Hooley of Orrville; and sisters, Connie (Marvin) Weisgarber of Scio, Elizabeth Lloyd of Wooster and Carolyn (Charlie) Maier of Dalton.

Jamie Miller
FREDERICKSBURG -- Jamie Aaron Miller, 4-year-old son of Vernon L. and Mary D. (Beachy) Miller, 8546 Township Road 635, died Saturday, Aug. 3, 2002, at Children's Hospital Medical Center of Akron after a brief illness.
Services will be Monday at 9 a.m. at the Atlee Troyer residence, 8427 Township Road 635, Fredericksburg, with Bishop Leroy E. Miller officiating. Burial will be at Hershberger Cemetery, Paint Township, Holmes County.
Friends may call anytime at the Miller residence. Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton, is handling arrangements.
He was born Dec. 28, 1997, in Millersburg.
Surviving in addition to his parents, are grandparents, Lester E. and Esther J. Miller of Mount Hope and David J. and Edna Beachy of Dundee; great-grandparents, John P. Hershberger of Winesburg and Susan Miller of Sugarcreek.

Virginia Bertsch
LOUDONVILLE -- Virginia Irene Bertsch, 83, formerly of North Market Street, Loudonville, died Friday morning, Aug. 2, 2002, at Country Court Nursing Center, Mount Vernon, after an extended illness.
Services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Byerly-Lindsey Funeral Home in Loudonville, with the Rev. Howard Burnett officiating. Burial will be at Loudonville Cemetery.
Friends may call Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Knox County, 302 E. High St., Mount Vernon 43050.
She was born May 16, 1919, in Summit County, to George and Lula (Wathley) Heller and married Roy Bertsch. He died in 1999.
Surviving are two grandsons; four great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; a brother, Allen Heller of Loudonville; and sisters, Mary Eppard of Lexington and Valera Gilt of Loudonville.

Robert Noel
JEROMESVILLE -- Robert Ray Noel, 67, 187 County Road 2000, died Thursday, Aug. 1, 2002, at his residence.
Graveside services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Slab Fork Cemetery in Lawrence County.
Friends may call Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home in Ironton.
Local arrangements are being handled by Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio, 1605 County Road 1095, Ashland 44805.
He was born March 10, 1935, in Lawrence County, to Everett and Martha (Kelly) Noel and married Roberta McClellan on April 16, 1956. She survives.
Other survivors include children, Rebecca J. Lake of Orlando, Fla., Sharon K. Jones of Alvin, Texas, and Curtis Lee Noel of Wooster; a stepson, Richard Riggle of Patriot; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and sisters, Mary Christian of Ironton, Juanita Noel and Shirley Adkins, both of Wooster.

Ada Hershberger
FREDERICKSBURG -- Ada D. Hershberger, infant daughter of Daniel J. and Barbara D. (Miller) Hershberger, 8101 Weaver Road, died at birth, Thursday, Aug. 1, 2002, at Mount Eaton Care Center.
Graveside services were held today (Friday) at Yoder Cemetery, Salt Creek Township, Wayne County, with Bishop Jacob Weaver officiating.
Arrangements were handled by Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton.
Surviving in addition to her parents, are a sister, Iva and brothers, Aaron and Freeman, all of the home; grandparents, John J. and Lydia Hershberger of Fredericksburg and Harry A. and Mary Miller of Millersburg; great-grandparents, Roy D.M. and Amanda Miller, Joe D. and Erma Hershberger and Anna Miller all of Millersburg.

Otis Troyer
MASSILLON -- Otis E. Troyer, 86, of Massillon, died Friday, Aug. 2, 2002, at Wooster Community Hospital.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Pleasant View Mennonite Church, with the Rev. John Miller officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant View Cemetery.
Friends may call Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at Zak-Monbarren Funeral Home in Dalton, or one hour prior to the services at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Pleasant View Mennonite Church, 14795 Wooster St., NW, North Lawrence 44666.
He was born Nov. 14, 1915, in Holmes County, to Eli J. and Fannie (Boley) Troyer and married Esther Miller in 1944. She died in 1993.
Surviving are children, Merlyn Troyer, Richard Troyer and Jeanette (David) McNutt, all of Massillon, Brian (Holly) Troyer and Carol (Steve) Hahn, both of Orrville; five grandchildren; brothers, Marvin (Jewell) Troyer of Dalton and Harold (Esther) Troyer of Shreve; and sisters, Verba (Mose) Yoder of Wooster, Edith (Aden) Gingerich of New Mexico and Nettie Yoder of Indiana.

Graveside services will be Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Wooster, with the Rev. Rufus Thompson officiating.
Friends may call Tuesday from 10-11 a.m. at Wayne County Care Center Chapel.
Arrangements are being handled by Custer-Glenn Funeral Home, Wooster.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Pamela Tracy Memorial Fund, in care of Wayne County Care Center, 876 S. Geyers Chapel Road, Wooster 44691.
She was born June 11, 1949, in Ashland, to Raymond C. and Nevada P. (Kolp) Tracy.
Surviving are a son, Jody J. Erickson of Jeromesville and a daughter, Anissa R. (Tony W.) Stancato of Wooster; five grandchildren; her parents of Charlotte, N.C.; and a sister, Conni R. Keister of Charlotte, N.C.

Roxie Carathers
MORGANTOWN, Ky. -- Roxie Mae Carathers, 88, of Morgantown, Ky., died Tuesday, July 30, 2002, at Medical Center in Bowling Green, Ky.
She was the mother of Don Carathers of Wooster.
Services were held Thursday, Aug. 1, at Green River Baptist Church. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Arrangements were handled by Jones Funeral Chapel.
She was born Feb. 12, 1914, in Ohio County, Ky., to Elvis and Elizabeth (Goodman) Burden and married Shirley Carathers. He died previously.
Other survivors include 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Darla Miller
WOOSTER -- Darla J. Miller, 64, formerly of 831 Rebecca St., died Wednesday, July 31, 2002, at West View Manor, Wooster.
Graveside services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Newman Creek Cemetery in North Lawrence, with Brother Richard Aites officiating.
Friends may call Sunday from 7-9 p.m. at Gresser Funeral Home in Orrville.
She was born Dec. 10, 1937, in Massillon, to Henry and Darline (Nolt) Powers and married Virgil D. Miller on Jan. 20, 1966. He died July 23, 1981.
Surviving are children, Mark Miller of Wooster and Teresa Miller of Wadsworth; and two grandchildren.
