Justin Sturgill
FINDLAY -- Justin Wyatt Sturgill, 2 1/2, 835 Abbey Lane, died Monday, Dec. 31, 2001, at his home, after a long illness.
Services will be Thursday at 3 p.m. at Gillman Funeral Home, Rittman, with Pastor Ben Borsay officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Wadsworth.
Friends may call tonight (Wednesday) from 5-7 at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Norcrest Presbyterian Church, 3120 Norcrest St., Findlay 45840 or Bridge Health & Hospice, 425 Frazer St., Findlay 45840.
He was born on July 4, 1999, in Findlay, to Willis R. and Joyce L. (Polk) Sturgill.
Surviving in addition to his parents of Findlay, are a sister, Kylie Sturgill of the home; two half-sisters, Janeen Blakley of Findlay, and Tonya Sturgill of Columbus; grandparents, Gary and Esther Polk of Rittman; a great-grandparent, Grace Polk of Bradenton, Fla.

Esther Pabst
LOUDONVILLE -- Esther Pabst, 97, 734 W. Main St., died Monday evening, Dec. 31, 2001, at Samaritan Hospital, following a brief illness.
Services will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Byerly-Lindsey Funeral Home, Loudonville, with her grandson, David Huffman officiating. Burial will be at Loudonville Cemetery.
Friends may call tonight (Wednesday) from 6-8 at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, 2802 County Road 917, Perrysville 44864.
She was born Nov. 26, 1904, in Leon, W.Va., to Knight and Florence (Coleman) Quickle and married Homer Pabst. He died previously.
Surviving are three grandsons; five great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren and a brother, David Quickle of Loudonville.

Jane Cable
BIG PRAIRIE -- Jane Cable, 84, of Big Prairie, died Sunday evening, Dec. 30, 2001, at Majora Lane Care Center, Millersburg.
Memorial services will be Saturday, Jan. 19, at 2 p.m. at Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 344 N. Columbus Ave., Wooster, where friends will be received following the services. It was her wishes for cremation to take place.
Arrangements are being handled by Custer-Glenn Funeral Home, Wooster.
Memorial contributions may be made to Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital, in care of the Child Life Department, 11100 Euclid Ave., Cleveland 44106; or Make-A-Wish Foundation of Northeast Ohio, 1422 Euclid Ave., Suite 239, Cleveland 44115.
Jane was born May 16, 1917, in Canton to Dueber S. and Rose S. (Beiter) Cable.
Jane leaves her dear friends and housemates, Sarah Adams and Christine Hayward, both of Holmes County; nieces, Bettina Fitzgerald of North Canton and Bethie Lease of Cuyahoga Falls; a nephew, Hobart Cable of Alexandria, Va.; and a multitude of friends near and far.

Carl Pinkley
WADSWORTH -- Carl O. Pinkley, 86, of Wadsworth, died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2002, at Altercare of Wadsworth.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Hilliard & Mullaney Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St., Wadsworth, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the services. The Revs. Carol A. Cutting and Stanley A. Ward will officiate. Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. at Canaan Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Wadsworth United Methodist Church Building Fund, 195 Broad St., Wadsworth 44281.
He was born in Wayne County to Homer and Maggie (Clause) Pinkley and was married to Ruth (Haskins) Pinkley for 63 years. She died previously.
Surviving are a daughter, Lillian (Bob) Kinnard of Wadsworth; a grandson, Brian (Gina) Kinnard of Mount Vernon, who was the joy of his life; a brother, Roy Pinkley of Phoenix, Ariz.; and nieces and nephews.

Helen McLachlan
WOOSTER -- Helen E. McLachlan, 93, died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2002, at the home of her son, John, in Wooster.
Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Robinson-Lytle Funeral Home in Indiana, Pa., where friends may call one hour prior to the services. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery in Indiana, Pa.
Local calling hours will be Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home in Canal Fulton.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Wayne County, 2525-A Back Orrville Road, Wooster 44691.
She was born in Indiana, Pa., to Ezekiel S. and Sarah Belle (Evans) Gibson and married Robert McLachlan. He died previously.
Surviving are a son, John (Sandra) McLachlan of Wooster; grandchildren, Karen McLachlan of Bear, Del., and Daniel (Kandi) McLachlan of Santa Clara, Calif.; and great-granddaughters, Rachael and Rebecca, of Santa Clara, Calif.

Elizabeth Buchwalter
WOOSTER -- Elizabeth I. Buchwalter, 83, of Wooster, died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2001, at Sunrise Assisted Living in Wooster.
Elizabeth's life will be honored and celebrated during a church service at First Presbyterian Church in the spring. Burial will be at Massillon Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours. McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster, is handling arrangements.
She was born Aug. 7, 1918, in Brewster, to Arthur and Faye (Reed) Spidel and married Heber Buchwalter. He died Aug. 30, 1977.
Surviving are a nephew, Larry (Karen) Spidel of Massillon; and a great-nephew, Adam Spidel of Columbus.

Debra Rogers
TAMPA, Fla. -- Debra J. Rogers, 46, of Tampa, Fla., formerly of Wooster, died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2001, at her home.
Graveside services were Friday, Dec. 21, 2001, at Trinity Memorial Cemetery in New Port Richey, Fla.
Friends who wish may make contributions to Manrique, 19902 Gunn Highway, Odessa, Fla. 33556, to help defray funeral expenses.
She was born Feb. 15, 1955, in Wooster to Cliff and Louise Copley.
Surviving are children, Krystal Mahoney of Land of Lakes, Fla., Shyra Archer of Tampa, Fla., and Kyle Rogers of the home; four grandchildren; her parents of Odessa, Fla.; and sisters, Kathy Manrique and Vickie Copley, both of Odessa, Fla.

Earl Wagner
WADSWORTH -- Earl W. Wagner, 65, of Wadsworth, died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2002, at Akron City Hospital.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Gillman Funeral Home in Rittman, with the Rev. Dr. J.A. Burton officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
He was born March 25, 1936, in Barberton to Elmer W. and Esther R. (Justice) Wagner and married Thelma Watts. She survives.
Other survivors include daughters, Rhonda (James) Mack of Creston and Tonia Hanna of Wadsworth; four grandchildren; and a sister, Evelyn Bauer of Wadsworth.

Margaret Christian
PHOENIX, Ariz. -- Margaret Ann (Kitts) Christian, 90, formerly of Rittman, died Friday, Dec. 28, 2001, at Thunderbird Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix, Ariz.
She was born Nov. 25, 1911, in Prichard, W.Va., to Sidney and Susie (Davis) Kitts.
Surviving are a daughter, Donna (Curt) Fritzinger of Phoenix, Ariz.; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Martha Bennington of Chandler, Ariz.
Her husband, Eustace Christian, died previously.

Barry Will
COLUMBUS -- Barry S. Will, 37, of Columbus, formerly of Wooster, died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2001, at his home.
There will be no services or calling hours. Shaw-Davis Funeral Home in Columbus is handling arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association, Ohio Affiliate Inc., Northeast Ohio Service Center, 225 W. Exchange St., Akron 44302.
He was born April 2, 1964, in Columbus to Walter and Jeanne (Hendershot) Will.
Surviving are his parents of Wooster; a sister, Traci (Bobby) Davis Jr. of Wooster; and an uncle.

Eileen Miller
DUBLIN -- Eileen T. "Mike" Miller, 82, formerly of Wooster, died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2002, at Friendship Village in Dublin.
Memorial services will be Sunday at 3:30 p.m. at the Convocation Center at Friendship Village in Dublin. Burial will be at a later date at Wooster Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to The College of Wooster, Gault Alumni Center, Wooster 44691.
She was born Jan. 18, 1919, in Wooster to Clyde and Florence Berry and was adopted at birth and raised by Charles and Florena Thompson. She married Richard G. Miller on Jan. 3, 1942 in Wooster's Memorial Chapel. He died Aug. 21, 2000.
Surviving are children, Sandra (Ronald C.) Baldwin of Columbus and Darby Jo (Donald A., M.D.) Pocock of Charleston, S.C.; and four grandchildren.

Barbara Jones
ORRVILLE -- Barbara A. Jones, 57, 425 OrrVilla Drive, died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2002, at St. Vincent Charity Hospital in Cleveland, after a long period of declining health.
Services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Christian & Missionary Alliance Church in Orrville, with the Revs. Ramsey J. Wallace and Ray Pfahler officiating. Burial will be at Kidron Mennonite Church Cemetery.
Friends may call tonight (Friday) from 7-9 at Auble Funeral Home in Orrville, or one hour prior to services at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Christian & Missionary Alliance Church Memorial Fund, 300 S. Walnut St., Orrville 44667.
She was born April 7, 1944, in Orrville to Floyd and Viola (Falb) Hershberger.
Surviving are her mother of Orrville; and a sister, Kathy (Ken) Hamsher of Kidron.
A stillborn daughter, Barbara Sue Jones, died in 1971.

Lucille Patterson
CRESTON -- Lucille U. Patterson, 79, 217 S. Main St., died Thursday morning, Jan. 3, 2002, at the Apostolic Christian Home in Rittman, after a lengthy illness.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston, with the Rev. James McCurdy officiating. Burial will be at Jackson Cemetery.
Friends may call tonight (Friday) from 6-9 at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Wayne County, 2525-A Back Orrville Road, Wooster 44691; or to the Apostolic Christian Home, 10680 Steiner Road, Rittman 44270.
She was born Aug. 3, 1922, in Millersburg, to Herbert and Nellie (VanSickle) Uhl and married Alfred L. Patterson on March 9, 1945 in Millersburg. He survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Joan (Ed) Gasser of Sterling; and three grandchildren.

R. Keith Dole
NEWTON, Kan. -- R. Keith Dole, 29, of Newton, Kan., formerly of Fredericksburg and Orrville, died Monday, Dec. 31, 2001, at Newton Kansas Medical Center.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Auble Funeral Home in Orrville, with the Rev. James McCurdy officiating. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville, where military rites will be conducted.
Friends may call Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
He was born Jan. 24, 1972, in Medina to Richard L. and Jeanne E. (Moyer) Dole.
Surviving are children, Nicholas K. "Nick" Dole and Erin N. Dole, both of Lenexa, Kan.; his father of Wadsworth; his mother and stepfather, Jeanne (Lloyd "Don") Carpenter of Fredericksburg; a sister, Amy (Bob) Weaver of Brewster; and a stepbrother, Jeremy (Lisa) Carpenter of Massillon.

G. Darlene Gossage
WADSWORTH -- G. Darlene (Nichols) Gossage, 75, of Wadsworth, died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2002, at her residence.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Hilliard & Mullaney Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St., Wadsworth, with the Rev. James L. Singleton officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours.
Memorial contributions may be made to Wadsworth First Christian Church, 116 E. Boyer St., Wadsworth 44281.
She was born in Wadsworth.
Surviving are a stepson, Gene (Jackie) Gossage of Westbrook, Conn.; grandchildren, Julie Bloom of Hollywood, Fla., Jennifer Carr of Falmouth, Maine and Gene Patton Gossage of Westbrook, Conn.; a great-grandson, Hudson Carr; a sister, Wilma (Woodrow) Vincent of Florida; and a nephew, James Vincent of Akron.
Her husband, Tallmadge Gossage, died previously.
