SAN DIEGO -- Edna Helen Glasgow, 96, of San Diego and formerly of Wooster, died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2002, at Tree Top Care Center, LaJolla, Calif.
Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at McIntire, Davis and Greene Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Alan E. Nathan officiating. Burial will be at Wooster Cemetery.
Friends may call one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Those who wish may make contributions to American Diabetes Association, 1815 W. Market St., Suite 108, Akron 44313 or to Zion Lutheran Church, 301 N. Market St., Wooster 44691.
She was born May 17, 1905, in Chester Township, to Oscar and Effie Smith and married Paul Glasgow on Oct. 2, 1928. He died in 1997.

Clarence Williams
MINNEAPOLIS -- Clarence Williams, 76, of Minneapolis, died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2002, at his residence.
Local services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Auble Funeral Home in Orrville with the Rev. Robert L. Golson officiating. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville.
Friends may call Friday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
He was born July 24, 1925, in Ashdown, Ark., to Clint and Roberta (Wilburn) Williams.
Surviving are sons, Clarence Williams of Toledo, Col. Clarence R. "Reggie" Williams of San Antonio, Texas; daughters, Cynthia Thomas of Los Angeles and Gwen Moore of Atlanta; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Leon Wendell Williams of Paris, Texas, Lavern Edward Williams of Las Vegas, Nev. and James C. Williams of Canton; sisters, Deloris K. Bridges of Luverne, Calif., Phyllis Ann Gibson of Paris, Texas and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

David Tomblin Jr.
ORRVILLE -- Memorial services for David Tomblin Jr., 18, of West Market Street, will be Sunday, Jan. 13, at 6 p.m. in Wilbur Berkey Fieldhouse in Smithville.
He died Sunday afternoon, Dec. 23, 2001, at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital in Cleveland, following a long illness of leukemia.
The family suggests memorial contributions may be made at any of the Green Local School buildings.

Robert Mitten
WOOSTER -- Robert W. Mitten, 88, 534 Williamsburg Court, Suite A, died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2002, at Wooster Community Hospital.
Services will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Grandstaff-Hentgen Main Street Chapel, 86 E. Main St., Wabash, Ind., with the Rev. Ron Zorn officiating. Burial will be at Falls Cemetery in Wabash, Ind.
Friends may call Sunday from 4-6 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Shriners Hospitals for Crippled Children.
He was born June 8, 1913, in Arnegard, N.D., to O. Ray and Bessie (Coble) Mitten and married M. Jean Baumgartner on Dec. 24, 1938 in Spencer, Ind. She died Aug. 17, 1990.
Surviving are a son, Michael R. (Judith) Mitten of Wooster; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Eli Hochstetler
SUGARCREEK -- Eli E. Hochstetler, 71, 4553 State Route 93 NW, died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2002, in the emergency department at Union Hospital in Dover, of an apparent heart attack.
Services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Grace Mennonite Church in Berlin with the Revs. Levi Sommers and Larry Kaufman officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Friends may call today (Friday) from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Grace Mennonite Church at Berlin.
Smith Funeral Home in Sugarcreek is handling arrangements.
He was born July 4, 1930, in Wayne County, to Ezra and Anna (Yoder) Hochstetler and married Betty Nussbaum on Feb. 11, 1950. She survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are children, Gwen (Jack) Biddle of Wooster, Cheryl (Dewy) Gerber and Donna (Dan) Birky, both of Sugarcreek, Dorothy (Richard) Feller of Dover, Phil (Chris) Hochstetler of Sugarcreek, Donavan (Paula) Hochstetler of Rexburg, Idaho and Jeff (Roberta) Hochstetler of Sugarcreek; 16 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; sisters and brothers, Mattie Miller of South Carolina, Betty Ogden of Florida, Arie Mast, Fannie Wengerd and David (Donnie) Hochstetler, all of Ohio and Wayne Hochstetler of North Carolina.

Rachel Miller
WOOSTER -- Rachel S. Miller, 81, of Wooster, died Friday, January 11, 2002, at her daughter's residence in Wooster.
Memorial services will be at the Grace Brethren Church in Wooster on Monday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Robert Fetterhoff officiating. Committal services will be at East Union Cemetery at 10 a.m. with Pastor Dave Lawson officiating.
Friends may call Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Wayne County, 2525-A Back Orrville Road, Wooster 44691.
She was born Feb. 12, 1920, in Wabbaseka, Ark. to Roy and Daisy Elizabeth (Vasser) Sparks. She married Ralph A. Miller on Oct. 26, 1953. He died in 1978.
Surviving are daughters Martha Aukerman, Gayle Denison, Michelle (Jeff) Roberts, all of Wooster and Oneta "Dutch" (Richard) Alexander of Lansing, W. Va. and sons, Raymond C. (Sandra) Nelson Jr., and Terry L. Miller, both of Wooster and Richard D. (Cynthia) Nelson of Pennsburg, Pa.; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a brother Russel (Shirley) Mills of California and a sister, Mary DiVincenzo of Michigan.

Ivan Deetz
WALNUT CREEK -- Ivan I. Deetz, 83, of Walnut Hills Retirement Center, and formerly of Park Hill Drive, Sugarcreek, died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2002.
Services will be Sunday at 4 p.m. at the Butler-Varns Funeral Home in Sugarcreek with the Rev. Kevin Farmwald officiating.
Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at the funeral home.
He was born June 19, 1918, in Auburn Township, to Ferdinand and Clara (Shutt) Stingel Deetz and married Grace Blosser Burkey. She died in 1988.
Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Nicholas (Kitty) Malavite and Geneva Jones, both of Canton, and Mrs. Harry (Ruth) Gerber Jr. of Walnut Creek; three brothers, Dr. Henry (Mary Lou) Deetz of Dover, Galen Deetz of Sugarcreek and Dr. Clayton (Jean) Deetz of Arizona; stepson, Thomas (Jacqueline) Burkey of Dover; stepdaughter, Mrs. Timothy (Susan) Stevanaus of Strasburg; four step-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren and 20 nieces and nephews.

Robert Bucksar
WADSWORTH -- Robert Bucksar, 70, of Wadsworth, died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2002, at Wadsworth-Rittman Hospital, following a period of declining health.
Services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston.
Friends may call one hour prior to time of service at the funeral home.
He was born Sept. 28, 1931, in Niles, to Steve and Barbara (Toth) Bucksar and married Mary Ann Dockus on March 13, 1965. She survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are brothers, Edward Bucksar of Copley, John Geiger of Creston, Walter Geiger of Wooster and Jerry Geiger of Fresno, Calif.; sisters, Barbara Hooper of Purcellville, Va. and Christine Donelan of Yuciapa, Calif. and nieces and nephews.

Alice Stauffer
DALTON -- Alice C. Stauffer, 91, of Dalton, died Friday, Jan. 11, 2002, at Dunlap Memorial Hospital in Orrville, following a period of declining health.
Services will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the West Lebanon United Methodist Church with Dr. H.H. Fischer officiating. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery in West Lebanon.
Friends may call Monday from 6-8 p.m. at Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton or one hour prior to services at the church.
Contributions may be made to the West Lebanon United Methodist Church, 6082 S. West Lebanon Road, Dalton 44618.
She was born Oct. 18, 1910, in Massillon, to Ernest J. and Ethel C. (Snavely) Limbach and married Doyle W. "Jim" Stauffer on June 26, 1935. He died July 24, 1980.
Surviving is brother Ernest Limbach of West Lebanon.

Joyce Woods
MASSILLON -- Joyce M. Woods, 58, of Massillon and formerly of Wooster, died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2002, at James Cancer Center in Columbus.
Services will be this morning (Saturday) at 11 a.m. at Calvary Assembly of God in Orrville with Bishop Isaac W. Woods Sr. and Pastor Jeffrey Sanborn officiating. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville.
Friends may call one hour prior to services this morning at the church.
She was born Jan. 20, 1943, in Midvale, to Claude Bentley and Ollie (Sherrell) Myricks.
Surviving are her husband of 44 years, Bishop Ike Woods Jr.; daughters and sons-in-law, April D. Woods of Massillon, Rachel M. Brinson of Columbus; Marilyn A. and Pastor Jeffrey Sanborn of Columbus and Evelyn R. and John Riley of Columbus; sons and daughters-in-law, Alfred and Lessie Woods of Wooster, Bishop Isaac W. and Sherry Woods of West Virginia, Michael D. and Lisa Woods of Massillon and Rodney Maurice "Mo" Woods of Findlay; 14 grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Lee (Dorothy) Arnold of Massillon and four stepsisters and two stepbrothers.

Dorothy Peterman
SMITHVILLE -- Dorothy G. Peterman, 84, 5369 Fox Lake Road, died Saturday morning, Jan. 12, 2002, at Rittman Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster, with the Rev. Ted Rust officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call Monday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Those who wish may contribute to the Smithville Fire Department, P.O. Box 552, Smithville 44677.
She was born April 10, 1917, in Sterling to Grant and Ollie (Burkett) Switzer and married E. Denzel Peterman on Oct. 17, 1938. He died in 1992.
Surviving are children and their spouses Denzel G. "Denny" and Ruth Peterman and Carol and Jim Elliott, all of Smithville; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Roy Bazzle
CRESTON -- Roy Bazzle, 74, of Creston, died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2002, at Wooster Community Hospital in Wooster.
Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home, Sherwood Chapel in Wooster, with the Rev. Paul Fink officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call one hour prior to services on Wednesday at the funeral home.
He was born Dec. 29, 1927, in Elkins, W.Va., to Marcus Bazzle and Delphia Boggs. He married Lise M. Brunet in July 1985. She survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are sons Roy Gentry of California and Steve Chaumont of Seville; daughters Stephanie Early and Blinda Bravo, both of California, Connie Bazzle of Wooster, Ann (Gary) Hill of Seville and Linda (Kenneth) Engeland of Renton, Wash.; 14 grandchildren; a brother, Paul (Rita) Bazzle of Wooster; and sisters Ruby (Cecil) Karlan of Smithville and Hazel (Bill) Gear of Brecksville.

Charles Wessolek
LODI -- Charles A. Wessolek, 70, of Lodi, died Friday, Jan. 11, 2002, at his home, after a lengthy illness.
Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Parker & Son Funeral Home, 210 Medina St., Lodi, with pastor Raymond Miller officiating. Burial will be at Burbank Cemetery.
Friends may call Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
He was born May 25, 1931, in Cleveland to Adolph and Mabel (Reed) Wessolek.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret (Dull) Wessolek, whom he married Dec. 31, 1960; stepchildren Nancy (Richard) Spree of Lexington, Carol Daugherty of Dayton, Rebecca (Ron) Daugherty of Wooster, Connie Jones Haskell of Cinnamon Lake, Raymond Lewis of Dayton and Roger Lewis of Lodi; 19 step-grandchildren; three sisters, Evalyn (Harvey) Funk and Anna (James) Vaughn, both of Lodi, and Betty Gory of Avon; and a brother, David Wessolek of Lodi.

Robert Perry
RITTMAN -- Robert B. Perry, 67, 277 Sterling Ave., died early Saturday morning, Jan. 12, 2002, at Akron City Hospital.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Gillman Funeral Home, Rittman, with the Revs. Richard Perrigo and Ralph J. Griffith officiating. Burial will be at Rittman Cemetery.
Friends may call Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help defray expenses.
He was born on Nov. 4, 1934, in Dunlow, W.Va., to Luther B. and Della M. (Napier) Perry and married Lois Chaffin on May 22, 1965. She survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are sons Anthony (Vickie) Perry of Simpsonville, S.C., the Rev. Robert (Donna) Perry Jr. of Rittman and James Perry of Rittman; daughter Mary (Ronald) Watts of Big Prairie; 10 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; brothers Glenn Perry of Dunlow, W.Va., Tom Perry of Kenova, W.Va., John Perry of Dunlow, W.Va., and Charlie Perry of Kenova, W.Va.; and sisters June McDaniels of Cleveland, Betty Brumfield of Chloe, W.Va., and Gladys Cox of Rittman.

Edna Houghton
PERRY TOWNSHIP -- Edna L. (Applegarth) Houghton, died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2002, at Hanover House Nursing Home in Perry Township.
Services were Saturday, Jan. 12, at 11 a.m. at Berry Funeral Home in Cleveland. Interment was at Westpark Cemetery in Cleveland.
She was the wife of the late William; mother of Sharron Hurst (Gilmer) and Daniel (Diane), and the late William; grandmother of five; and great-grandmother of one.

Frances Long
NORTH CANTON -- Frances C. Long, 95, of Heather Ridge Center, North Canton, and formerly of Township Road 687, Loudonville, died Saturday morning, Jan. 12, 2002, at Colonial Manor Health Care Center, Loudonville, after a brief illness.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Loudonville United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Gary Pollock officiating. Burial will be at Loudonville Cemetery.
Friends may call Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Byerly-Lindsey Funeral Home, Loudonville.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Memorial Fund of the United Methodist Church, 124 N. Market St., Loudonville 44842.
She was born March 21, 1906, in Carthage, Ill. to Charles and Daisy (Kettering) Heyde and married M. Rex Long on June 14, 1927. He died previously.
Surviving are daughters and sons-in-law Phyllis and James McClure and Alice Hall, all of Loudonville, and Ann and Larry Brown of North Canton; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
