Charles Randles
MACOMB, Ill. -- Charles E. Randles, 62, of Macomb, Ill., died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2002, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital, Rushville, Ill.
Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Byerly-Lindsey Funeral Home, Loudonville, with the Rev. George Randles officiating. Burial will be at Loudonville Cemetery.
Friends may call Wednesday from noon-1 p.m. at the funeral home.
He was born Dec. 1, 1939, in Loudonville to George and Kathleen (Smith) Randles.
He is survived by his wife, Linda (Louge) Randles; his former wife, Mary Ann (Christine) Wigton of Loudonville; his daughter, Kelly Ann Zody of Loudonville; a stepdaughter, Sheila Crabb of Macomb, Ill; two stepsons, Kenny and Terry Barber; 10 grandchildren; and two sisters, Sandy Easly of Tucson, Ariz. and Betty Nestor of Marblehead.

Ida Hilty
FREDERICKSBURG -- Ida Petersheim Hilty, 92, 9670 James Road, died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2002, at Wooster Community Hospital, after suffering a fall at her home.
Services will be Wednesday at 9 a.m. at the Wayne R. Schlabach residence at 9445 James Road, Fredericksburg, with Bishop Eli M. Miller officiating. Burial will be at Yoder Cemetery in Fredericksburg.
Friends may call anytime at the Schlabach residence.
Arrangements are being handled by Murray Funeral Home in Fredericksburg.
She was born Feb. 12, 1910, in Middlefield to Jacob and Amanda (Kauffman) Miller and married David Petersheim and later Samuel Hilty Sr. They both died previously.
Surviving are a son, Ezra, and his wife, Katie Petersheim of Apple Creek; daughter, Edna, and her husband, Menno Eicher of West Farmington; seven stepsons, Levi Petersheim of Fredericksburg, Jake and Sam Hilty, both of Seymour, Mo., Dan and Joe Hilty, both of Geneva, Ind., Melvin Hilty of Bryant, Ind., and Reuben Hilty of Kentucky; two stepdaughters Mary Shetler of Lagrange, Ind., and Anna Schwartz of Geneva, Ind.; 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; many step-grandchildren; and many step-great-grandchildren.

Adah Nussbaum
SMITHVILLE -- Adah L. Nussbaum, 85, 159 E. Center St., and a former Orrville resident, died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2002, at the Apostolic Christian Home, near Rittman, after an illness of 1 1/2 years.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Crown Hill Mennonite Church near Rittman, with Pastor Gordon Miller officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Friends may call at the church tonight (Monday) from 6-9 and/or one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
Arrangements are being handled by Auble Funeral Home in Orrville.
Memorial contributions may be sent to Crown Hill Mennonite Church, "Women Serving Christ," 9693 Benner Road, Rittman 44270.
She was born July 31, 1916, in Marshallville to Jacob E. and Sarah Amy (Hackman) Shoup and married Lee E. Nussbaum on March 4, 1944, at Crown Hill Mennonite Church, Rittman. He survives.
Surviving in addition to her husband are three sons, Darrel (Barb) Nussbaum of Big Prairie, Delmar (Janet) Nussbaum of Orrville and Howard (Jill) Nussbaum of Montezuma, Ga.; three daughters, Myrna (Myron) Ramseyer of Sterling, Marge (Dale) Warkentin of Flin Flon, Manitoba, Canada and Martha (John) Ramseyer of Sterling; 17 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, Art Shoup of Orrville; a sister, Arlene (Larry) Kleinknecht of Salem; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Russell Stewart-Carney
SMITHVILLE -- Russell Samuel Stewart-Carney died at his home on Feb. 21, 2002.
He was born July 29, 1976, and came into our lives Dec. 8, 1978. His mother, Martha Carney, father, Pat Carney, brothers Paul, Benjamin and Nicholas, sisters Stephanie and Ashlea, and grandparents, Ernest and Pauline Wilson survive.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday, Feb. 27, at 7 p.m. at St. Mary's Church in Wooster, friends may call one-half hour prior to the Mass in the church. Private family burial will be held at a later time.
The family requests donations be made to St. Mary School Endowment Fund, P.O. Box 109, Wooster 44691 in his memory.
McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Merle Emch
RITTMAN -- Merle W. Emch, 83, of Steiner Road, died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2002, at the Apostolic Christian Home.
A memorial service will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the chapel at the Apostolic Christian Home in Rittman, with ministers of the Apostolic Christian Church officiating. Cremation has taken place.
Gillman Funeral Home in Rittman is in charge of arrangements.
He was born April 12, 1919, in Liberty Township in Trumbull County to James J. and Helen (Durig) Emch.
Surviving are his wife, Georgia; son Roger (Barbara) Emch of Doylestown, Pa.; daughter Rita Marie Emch and husband, Meredith Mills, of Casper, Wyo.; and three grandchildren.

Ruth Booth
HOLMESVILLE -- Mrs. Arnold (Ruth H.) Booth, 95, died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2002, at the Holmes County Home.
Memorial services for friends and family will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, with pastor James Cooper officiating.
There will be no calling hours as, according to her wishes, her body will be cremated.
Burial of her ashes will be at a later date at the Killbuck Cemetery.
Family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Killbuck United Methodist Church.
She was born Nov. 6, 1906, in Killbuck, to George E. and Alta (Lahm) Patterson.
She is survived by one sister, Frances House of Killbuck and eight nieces and nephews.

Lisa Ludington
MCDONALD -- Lisa Ludington, 29, 242 Elvira Court, died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2002.
She was the sister of Robert Ludington of Rittman and Tom Ludington of Wooster.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Rose Roman Catholic Church. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown.
Friends may call Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at Lane Funeral Home, Mineral Ridge Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to Farmers National Bank, Mineral Ridge Branch, in a trust for her son.
She was born March 6, 1972, in Ravenna to Robert and Sally (Poffenbarger) Ludington.
Other survivors include a son, Joseph Ludington of the home; her parents of Kimbolton; a sister, Mary Ludington of Warren; a brother, Scott Davis of Hazleton, Pa.; and paternal grandmother, Rita Ludington of Kimbolton.

Mae Gingerich
MILLERSBURG -- Mae Gingerich, 79, 6170 state Route 39, died Sunday evening, Feb. 24, 2002, at her home after an extended illness.
Services will be Wednesday at 9 a.m. at the residence, with Bishop Sam Yoder officiating. Burial will be at Coblentz Cemetery.
Friends may call anytime at the residence. Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, is handling arrangements.
She was born Sept. 10, 1922, in Holmes County to Martin J. and Martha (Miller) Miller and married Alvin Gingerich on Feb. 24, 1944. He survives.
Other survivors include children, Ruth (Robert E.) Miller, Naomi (Paul E.) Mast and Mary (Levi P.) Miller, all of Sugarcreek, Adah (Edward) Kline, Mahlon (Esta) Gingerich and Daniel (Clara) Gingerich, all of Millersburg; 34 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; a brother, Raymond Miller of Millersburg; and sisters, Esther Miller of Walnut Creek, Ruth (Charles) Knowles of Apple Creek and Betty (Dan M.) Weaver of Holmesville.

Archer Bailey Jr.
WOOSTER -- Archer J. Bailey Jr., of Wooster, passed away Thursday, Jan. 31, 2002, at Hospice Care Center in Copley.
Memorial services will be Saturday, March 2, at 11:30 a.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Hinckley. Interment will be Friday, March 1, at 2:30 p.m. at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to VHS/Hospice, 3358 Ridgewood Road, Akron 44333.
Arrangements are being handled by McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster.
Surviving are his wife of 23 years, Marilyn Bailey; children, Beth (Zach) Amstutz of Wooster, Archer (Cindy) Bailey of Sharon Center, Barbara (Tom) Goila of Cincinnati, Christine (Steve) Dzurinda of Hinckley, Meg Shreffler of Pompano Beach, Fla., Larry (Dana) Crissinger of Brunswick, Carol (Trip) Haddad of Valley City and Craig (Janet) Crissinger of Brunswick; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and sisters, Janis (Steve) Hengeli and Robena Elko, both of Hinckley.

Herman Morris
APPLE CREEK -- Herman S. Morris, 79, 508 E. Main St., died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2002, at Wooster Community Hospital.
Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster with the Rev. Joanna Lance officiating. Burial will be at Wooster Cemetery.
Friends may call tonight (Tuesday) from 7-9 at the funeral home, where Masonic services will be held at 6:45.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, Wayne County Branch, 1740 Cleveland Road, Wooster 44691.
He was born March 14, 1922, in Guernsey County to Homer and Viola (Boyd) Morris and married Edna Carter on May 10, 1941. She survives.
Other survivors include children, Phyllis (Nelson) Holmes of Wooster, Curtis (Carol) Morris and Randall (Joanne) Morris, both of Apple Creek, and Dorothy (Raymond) Carter of Orrville; seven grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Long of Apple Creek and Velma Jones of Winterset; and brothers, Clark (Frances) Morris of Apple Creek, Clarence Morris of Sarasota, Fla., and Harry Morris of Logan, W.Va.

Gene Taylor
MILLERSBURG -- Gene Taylor, 71, of Millersburg died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2002, while on vacation in North Carolina.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg with the Rev. John Damron officiating. Burial will be at Killbuck Cemetery, where military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post 192 and Killbuck Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7079.
Friends may call Friday from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Killbuck First Church of Christ, P.O. Box 404, Killbuck 44637.
He was born March 27, 1930, in Layland to Forrest and Lillian (Layland) Taylor.
Surviving are a son, Mark, of Millersburg and a daughter, Beth and grandson Luke Miller, both of Cleveland; stepdaughters, Jonna Hall and Jody Miller, both of Millersburg; a brother, Tom Taylor of Coshocton; and sisters, Janice (Charles) Akins of Coshocton and Sandra (Dean) Gamertsfelder of Killbuck.

Erma Gates
ORRVILLE -- Erma Gates, 85, formerly of Chateau Circle, died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2002, at Brenn-Field Nursing Center in Orrville.
There will be no services or calling hours. Burial of the cremains will be at Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville. Gresser Funeral Home in Orrville is handling arrangements.
She was born June 16, 1916, in Smithville to Edwin and Jesse (Hartzler) Shisler and married Samuel L.O. Gates. He died Feb. 1, 1980.
Surviving are a grand-nephew and cousins.

Mervin Klein
SUGARCREEK -- Mervin E. Klein, 507 Dover Road, died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2002, at Walnut Hills Nursing Home in Walnut Creek, after a brief illness.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Smith Funeral Home in Sugarcreek, with the Rev. Welton Stein officiating. Burial will be at Union Hill Cemetery in Sugarcreek.
Friends may call Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
He was born March 3, 1926, in Bucks Township to Albert and Phoebe (Ott) Klein.
Surviving are sisters, Viola (Orus) Weaver of Carmel, Ind., and Mildred Warstler of New Philadelphia; a brother, Walter Klein of Killbuck; and stepsisters, Ann Lorenz of Fresno, Erma (Ron) Mooberry of Iowa, Helen Davis of Massillon and Ruth Gallagher of California.

Francisco Pedro
SUGARCREEK -- Francisco Diego Pedro, infant son of Diego M. and Jessica L. (Miller) Pedro, 1789 County Road 140, was stillborn Friday, Feb. 22, 2002, at Aultman Hospital in Canton.
Services were held this morning (Wednesday) at 11 at Butler-Varns Funeral Home in Sugarcreek, with Father Bill Metzger officiating. Burial will be at East Lawn Cemetery.
Surviving in addition to his parents, is a brother, Lucian J. Miller of the home.

Sarah Miller
MILLERSBURG -- Sarah B. Miller, 79, County Road 624, died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2002, at her residence.
Memorial services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Messiah Fellowship Church, state Route 557, Millersburg, with Bishop Jonas J.E. Miller officiating. Graveside services will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in the church cemetery.
Friends may call Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the church.
Arrangements are being handled by Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg.
She was born April 1, 1922, in Holmes County to Ben J. and Emma (Gingerich) Miller.
Surviving are brothers, Ura (Vesta) Miller and Roman (Ada) Miller, both of Millersburg; a sister, Elva (Reuben) Kaufman of Texas; a sister-in-law, Sue Miller of Millersburg; 21 nieces and nephews and numerous cousins.
