COLUMBIANA -- Lydia Martin, 46, 2825 W. Pine Lake Road, died Saturday morning, Feb. 7, at her home of complications from cancer. She is survived by relatives in the Kidron area. Services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Midway Mennonite Church in Columbiana, with the Revs. Ivan Martin Jr. and Harry Neuenschwander officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant View Mennonite Church Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. at the church, or one hour prior to the services at the church. Arrangements are being handled by Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in Columbiana. Memorial contributions may be made to Pilgrim Mennonite Missions.

RITTMAN -- Ernest R. Murry, 72, 124 N. Seneca St., died Friday night, Feb. 6, at Wadsworth-Rittman Hospital. Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Gillman Funeral Home in Rittman, with the Rev. Dr. J.A. Burton officiating. Burial will be at Rittman Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

DOYLESTOWN -- Idella Marie Long, 91, of Doylestown, died Monday, Feb. 9. Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Zak-Monbarren Funeral Home in Doylestown, with the Rev. Dr. David Tennant officiating. Burial will be at Lakewood Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Doylestown United Methodist Church.

CLEVELAND -- Ronald P. Petit, 51, of Cleveland, formerly of Doylestown, died Thursday, Feb. 5. Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Dayton National Cemetery, 4100 W. Third St., Dayton, with the Army chaplain officiating. Burial will be at Dayton National Cemetery.

Amanda Hershberger
FREDERICKSBURG -- Amanda S. Hershberger, 68, 8907 Township Road 614, died Monday, Feb. 9, at her home after a brief illness. Services will be Wednesday at 9 a.m. at the residence, with Bishop John D. Troyer officiating. Burial will be at Hershberger Cemetery in Salt Creek Township, Holmes County. Friends may call anytime at the residence. Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton is handling arrangements.

MASSILLON -- Roy S. Anderson, 89, formerly of 23rd Street, SE, Massillon, formerly of Wooster, died Sunday, Feb. 8, 1998, at Hanover House Nursing Home in Massillon. Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster, with the Rev. William J. Lofgren officiating. Burial will be at Wooster Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the services.

WOOSTER -- Elizabeth D. Miller, 81, 2020 Burbank Road, Wooster, died Sunday, Feb. 8, at her home. Services will be Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at Crown Hill Cemetery Gothic Chapel in Indianapolis, with the Rev. J.B. Lemler officiating. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis. There will be no calling hours. Local arrangements are being handled by McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster.

ORRVILLE -- Elmer B. Steiner, 72, 12500 Lincolnway East, Orrville, died Monday evening, Feb. 9, at Doctors Hospital in Massillon, after a brief illness. Memorial services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Sonnenberg Mennonite Church near Kidron, with the Revs. Mike McFarren and John Lehman officiating. Private graveside services will be held at the church cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 6-9 p.m. at Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton. Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Kepner Funeral Home, 2101 Warwood Ave., Wheeling, W.Va., where friends may call Thursday from 7-9 p.m., or one hour prior to the services. Burial will be at Kadesh Chapel Cemetery, Beechbottom, W.Va. Memorial contributions may be made to Warwood Lutheran Church, 1608 Warwood Ave., Wheeling, W.Va. 26003. FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Eli B. Miller, 50, of Fort Myers, Fla., formerly of Millersburg, died Tuesday, Feb. 10, in Fort Myers after a 10-month illness. Services will be Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at the Aden B. Miller residence, 3181 Township Road 406, Millersburg, with Bishop Raymond Weaver officiating. Burial will be at Miller Family Cemetery. Surviving are his mother of Millersburg; brothers and sisters-in-law, Lester and Lydiann Miller and Aden and Ella Miller, all of Millersburg; sisters, Sarah Miller of Millersburg and Mrs. Martin (Edna) Yutzy of Dundee; and 20 nieces and nephews.

Surviving in addition to his wife are children and their spouses, Carolyn and James Twaddle of Umatilla, Fla., Dixie and Robert Newcomer of Stockbridge, Ga., and Donald and Penny Martin of Kirkland, Wash.; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Earl Ray
POWHATAN, Va. -- Earl E. Ray, 86, of Powhatan, Va., formerly of War, W.Va., died Monday, Feb. 2. He was the father and father-in-law of Roland and Gennie Rhea of Creston. Graveside services were held Saturday, Feb. 7, at Grandview Memorial Gardens, Bluefield, Va. Surviving in addition to his son and daughter-in-law are his wife, Leona G. Ray; daughters and their spouses, Ann and Gene Vuncannon of Mechanicsville, Va., and Phyllis and Russell Wood Sr. of Powhatan, Va.; five grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

WOOSTER -- Martha A. "Mattie" Saunders, 102, 140 Mulberry St., Wooster, died Monday, Feb. 9, at Horn Nursing Home. Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Second Baptist Church, Wooster, with the Rev. Leroy Adams officiating. Burial will be at Wooster Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the services at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Second Baptist Church, 245 S. Grant St., Wooster 44691. Arrangements are being handled by McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster. Surviving are a faithful daughter, Alma E. Saunders of the home; a stepgranddaughter, Ruth Cardwell of Switchback, W.Va.; and adopted grandchildren, Theodore Lee Adams of New Albany and Rachel Ann Adams of Columbus.

MILLERSBURG -- Harold "Red" McDowell, 57, of Millersburg, died this morning (Wednesday), Feb. 11, 1998, at his home after a short illness. Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Millersburg. There will be no calling hours. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 341, Millersburg 44654. Surviving are children, Tom McDowell of Las Vegas, Nev., Tammy McDowell and Tim McDowell Sr., both of Millersburg; grandchildren, Tim McDowell Jr., Cory McDowell, Dustin McDowell, Trevor McDowell and Briana Allison; his mother of Millersburg; brothers, Bob McDowell of California, Dick Mackey and Paul 'Butch' McDowell, both of Wooster and Don McDowell of Millersburg; sisters, Judy Christian of Wooster, Mary McDowell Mann of Columbus and Deb Elliott of Millersburg; and his former wife, Carla McDowell of Millersburg.

Hazel Indorf
DALTON -- Hazel C. Indorf, 87, of Dalton, died Thursday morning, Feb. 12, at Dunlap Memorial Hospital in Orrville, after an extended illness. Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton, with the Rev. Dennis McDonald officiating. Burial will be at Massillon Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 p.m. Surviving are a son, George Indorf of Massillon; eight grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Beth Miller
RITTMAN -- Beth A. Miller, 43, 185 N. State St., died Wednesday night, Feb. 11, at Hospice Care Center in Akron, after a courageous battle with cancer. Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Gillman Funeral Home in Rittman, with the Rev. Dr. J.A. Burton officiating. Burial will be at Rittman Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the services. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hospice Care Center, 3358 Ridgewood Road, Akron 44333. Surviving are her father, Lyle Renner of Clearwater, Fla.; her mother, Joan Renner of New York; sisters, Mrs. Phillip (Gayle) Kretz of Apopka, Fla., and Mrs. Scott (Tracey) Herber of Mohnton, Pa.; her grandmother, Marion Renner of Clearwater, Fla.; nieces and nephews; her fiance, Steve Bidinger of Rittman; and a friend, Pam Kay of Syracuse, N.Y.

LOUDONVILLE -- Jean C. Zehner, 73, 123 E. Bustle St., died Wednesday, Feb. 11, at Grant Medical Center in Columbus. Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Loudonville, with the Rev. Terry Ruther officiating. Burial will be at Loudonville Cemetery. ROCHESTER, Minn. -- Ward W. Konkle, 89, 873 15th Ave., SE, Rochester, Minn., formerly of Wooster, died Thursday, Feb. 12, at Fairview Nursing Home in Dodge Center, Minn. Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. in the Colonial Chapel at Macken Funeral Home in Rochester, Minn., with the Rev. Elizabeth Spence officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Rochester, Minn. Friends may call one hour prior to the services. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mayo Clinic for heart research. Surviving in addition to his wife are children, Mrs. John D. (Patricia) Wade of Rochester, Minn., Ronald W. Konkle of San Francisco, and Alan R. Konkle of Richmond, Va.; four grandsons; and six great-grandchildren.

Surviving in addition to his nephews and wife are daughters, Mrs. Milton (Eileen) Baker, Mrs. James (Pat) Turnbull, Mrs. Al (Orleta) Moore and Mrs. Terry (Karen) Bryant, all of Coshocton and Wilma Gamertsfelder of Phoenix, Ariz.; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; a brother, Paul Jenkins of Coshocton; and several nieces and nephews.

NEWARK -- Jane Ellen Raber, 74, formerly of Eastern Avenue, Wooster, died Wednesday, Feb. 11, at Smithville-Western Care Center. Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster, with the Rev. George Peters officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Friends may call one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Surviving are a stepson, James L. Franks of San Antonio, Texas; two stepgrandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; brothers, Thurman Jester of Wooster and Floyd Jester of Carlisle, Pa.; and a sister, Kathryn Smythe of Wooster.
