BURBANK -- Robert M. Holcomb, 60, of Burbank, died Wednesday, Feb. 11, at Seven Rivers Community Hospital in Crystal River, Fla. Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Matteson Funeral Home in West Salem, with the Rev. Raymond Miller officiating. Burial will be at West Salem Cemetery, where military rites will be conducted by James Stevenson American Legion Post 499 of West Salem. Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home, where Masonic services will be held at 8:45 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association, Wayne County Branch, P.O. Surviving in addition to his wife are stepsons, Scott and Jeremy Ruggles, both of Tollesboro, Ky.; two stepgrandsons; his parents of West Salem; and brothers, David Holcomb and Frankie Donohue, both of West Salem.

Phyliss Wyre
HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. -- Phyliss Ann Wyre, 62, of Hendersonville, N.C., formerly of Wooster, died Sunday, Feb. 8, at Pardee Hospital. Memorial services were held Tuesday, Feb. 10, at First Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Dr. Dean Turbeville officiating. Surviving are her husband, Charles H. Wyre, to whom she was married 42 years; children, Steven H. Wyre of Bedford, Texas, and Deborah Andrews of Denver; three grandchildren; a sister, Florence Bailey of Kill Devil Hill, N.C.; and several relatives in the Wooster area.

ASHLAND -- William J. Drugan Sr., 43, 11th St., died Thursday evening, Feb. 12, at MedCentral/Mansfield Hospital. He was employed by Petroset Cementing in Wooster. Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Van Hove Funeral Home in Ashland, with the Rev. Floyd F. Glick Jr. officiating. Burial will be at Ashland Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Ashland County Branch, P.O. Box 85, Ashland 44805. Surviving are his wife, Lisa E. (Burley) Drugan, whom he married April 11, 1992; sons, Jesse L. (Jerri) Drugan and Jeremy L. Drugan, both of Ashland and William J. Drugan Jr. of the home; a stepson, Michael R. Cain of the home; his mother of Ashland; brothers, Charles R., Donald L. and Ronald L. Drugan, all of Ashland; and sisters, Lillian B. ORRVILLE -- Grace E. Ries, 84, of Orrville, died Thursday evening, Feb. 12, at her home. Services will be today (Saturday) at 3 at Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon, with the Rev. Dan Neergaard officiating. Burial will be Monday. Friends may call one hour prior to the services. Surviving are children and their spouses, Diane and Roger Scott of Orrville, Lynn and Dan Neergaard of San Antonio, Texas and Bruce and Mary Jane Ries of Collegedale, Tenn.; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Wilson of Navarre; and a brother, Emil Turske of Massillon.

CRESTON -- Erwin W. Rice, 84, 227 Coulter St., died Friday afternoon, Feb. 13, at Medina General Hospital, following a brief illness. Graveside services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are being handled by Murray Funeral Home in Creston. Surviving are his wife, Georgia Feesler Batley Rice; a son, Don Rice of Pinckneyville, Ill.; a daughter, Dixie Pedersen of Mesa, Ariz.; a stepson, Kenneth Batley of Creston; stepdaughters, Dorothy Ramsier of Sterling and Donna Nussbaum of Cincinnati; grandchildren; great-grandchildren and a sister, Sybil East of Harmon, Ill.

Nellie Bowman
ORRVILLE -- Nellie C. Bowman, 94, formerly of 724 W. Market St. and 333 E. Sassafras St., Orrville, died late Saturday evening, Feb. 14, at Brenn-Field Nursing Center in Orrville, after a long period of declining health. Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Augsburg Lutheran Church in Orrville, with the Rev. Walter Jordan officiating. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville. Friends may call Tuesday from 2-3 and 7-9 p.m. at Auble Funeral Home in Orrville, where Eastern Star services will be held at 8:45 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Augsburg Lutheran Church, 140 W. Clifton Zehner
MOHICANVILLE -- Clifton M. Zehner, 77, of Mohicanville, died Sunday morning, Feb. 15, at Samaritan Hospital in Ashland. He was the father of Randy L. Zehner and the brother of Justin Zehner, both of Loudonville. Graveside services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Pioneer Cemetery, with the Rev. Dr. Gary Wilson officiating. There will be no calling hours. Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville is handling arrangements. Surviving in addition to his son, brother and wife are two other sons, Bradley E. and Terry L. Zehner, both of Ashland; nine grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and a sister, Betty McClure of Ashland.

TIFFIN -- Rev. Dr. Richard Wade Hostetler, 69, 15 Brookwood Park, Tiffin, formerly of Wayne County, died Friday, Feb. 13, in Seneca County, Tiffin. Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Tiffin, with the Rev. Gail Angel and the Rev. Dr. David Doss officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call tonight (Monday) from 7-8:30 at Turner-Engle Funeral Home, 135 N. Washington St., Tiffin. LODI -- Ora Carl Anderson, 70, of Lodi, died on Sunday, Feb. 15, at Lodi Community Hospital. A private family memorial service will be held. Friends are welcome at the family home anytime. MIDDLEFIELD -- Roy J. Yoder, 39, of 15768 Burton-Windsor Road, Middlefield, died on Sunday morning, Feb. 15, at his home from cancer. Services will be Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at his residence, with Bishop John Byler officiating. Burial will be at Miller Cemetery in Huntsburg Township. Friends may call at his residence at anytime. BIG PRAIRIE -- Lloyd Hofstetter, 82, of 9132 McFadden Road, Big Prairie, formerly of Shreve, died Saturday, Feb. 14, at Glendora Health Care Center. Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Johnston-Schlabach Funeral Home in Shreve. The Rev. Priscilla E. Jackson will be officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery. ORRVILLE -- Sidnee Ann Marie Hart, infant daughter of Scott Christopher and Lisa Ann (Williams) Hart of Wooster, was stillborn on Friday, Feb. 13, at Memorial Hospital, Union County, Marysville. Graveside services were held today (Monday) at Woodstock Cemetery, with the Rev. Steve Wood officiating. Arrangements were handled by Underwood Funeral Home, Marysville. Surviving in addition to her parents, are maternal grandparents, Gene and Juanita Ann Williams of Woodstock; paternal grandparents, Donna Flanagan and Duane (Meredith) Hart, both of Wooster; maternal great-grandparents, Winnie Inez Williams of Peoria, Wes Sanchez and Kay (Roy) Williams, both of Texas; aunts Angela Marie Williams of Woodstock and Alison Flanagan of Wooster; and uncles Joe Williams of Woodstock, Jeff (Katie) Hart and Greg (Anita) Hart, both of Wooster.

WOOSTER -- Alice B. Wagner, 84, 632 Kieffer St., Wooster, died Sunday, Feb. 15, at Horn Nursing Home, after an extended illness. Service of Christian Burial will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster. Burial will be at Wooster Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the services. ORRVILLE -- Vida L. Olsen, 81, 12966 Old Lincoln Way, Orrville, died Monday evening, Feb. 16, at Shady Lawn Nursing Home in Dalton, after three years of declining health. Services will be Thursday at 12:30 p.m. at Kidron Mennonite Church, with the Rev. Jay Dolvin officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 6:30-9 p.m. at Auble Funeral Home in Orrville. Surviving in addition to her husband are children, Larry M. Olsen and Mrs. James (Dianne) Fry, both of Dalton; four grandchildren; a great-grandchild; sisters, Mrs. Harold (Eunice) Eggeman and Mrs. Roy (Florence) Lowe, both of Dalton; and a brother and sister-in-law, Millen and Idella Nussbaum of Florida.

APPLE CREEK -- Temple M. Saurer, 85, formerly of 351 E. Main St., Apple Creek, died Monday morning, Feb. 16, at Smithville-Western Care Center, where she had resided since January 1992. Memorial services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Custer Funeral Home, Wooster, with the Rev. Roy V. Wagner officiating. Burial of the cremains will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens at a later date. Surviving are nephews, David L. Ritchie of Apple Creek, Donald Ritchie of St. Charles, Mo., and Gary Upperman of North Olmsted; and a niece, Denise Ray of Cleveland.

POLK -- Richard Franklin "Jake" Humrichouser, 65, 174 U.S. Route 250 E., Polk (Rowsburg), died Sunday morning, Feb. 15, at his residence after a long illness. Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Rowsburg Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Richard M. Shibley officiating. Burial will be at Rowsburg Cemetery. Graveside services will be Saturday, Feb. 21, 1998, at 11 a.m. at Newman Creek Cemetery near North Lawrence, with the Rev. Douglas Meek officiating. There will be no calling hours. Surviving are a son-in-law, John Fritter of Arizona; grandsons and their spouses, Carl and Cheryl Fritter of Dalton and Lee and Karen Fritter of Rittman; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Orrville Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, with the Rev. Ramsey Wallace officiating. Burial will be at Kidron Mennonite Cemetery.
