WOOSTER -- Ellis G. Camp, 85, 133 Oakley Road, died Wednesday, July 21, 1999, at his residence. Services will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster, with the Rev. Ralph Fogal officiating. Private burial will be at Wooster Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Those who wish may make contributions to Hospice of Wayne County, 2525-A Back Orrville Road, Wooster; or to the First Presbyterian Church, 621 College Ave., Wooster 44691. He was born March 29, 1914 in Dalton to Ray and Verdie (Goudy) Camp and married Dorothy Dietz on May 12, 1940. She survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Cynthia Silva and her husband, Gregory, of Harrisburg, Pa.; and sisters, Evelyn Craig of Washington, D.C., and Lela Amstutz of Long Beach, Calif.

Grace Ransom
CANTON -- Grace L. Ransom, 95, of Canton, died Tuesday afternoon, July 20, 1999, at West View Manor Retirement Community in Wooster, after an extended illness. Services will be Monday, July 26, at 2 p.m. at Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home, 710 Tuscarawas St., W, Canton, with the Rev. Michael Hines officiating. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call two hours prior to the services at the funeral home. Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Alfred E. Ransom, a former Canton City Water Department Superintendent; a daughter, Beverly (Ransom) Klass of Cortland and a son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Richard and Sherry Ransom of Wooster; grandchildren, Kristen Grayson of Virginia Beach, Va., Eric Glosser of Warren, Erin Glosser of Cortland and Heather, Brent and Brian Ransom of Wooster; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Thomas Huth of Richmond Heights; and a nephew, Jerry Huth of Fairfield.

Florence Seas
SEBASTIAN, Fla. -- Florence E. (Nesbitt) Seas, 96, of Sebastian, Fla., formerly of Orrville, died Thursday, July 5, 1999. Entombment will be at Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville. Surviving are a daughter, Carol Romeka, three grandchildren and a great-grandchild, all of Florida. Her husband D. Ed Seas, died previously.

Alice Pressler
ORRVILLE -- Alice C. Pressler, 97, of Brenn-Field Nursing Center, 1980 Lynn Drive, died early Tuesday morning, July 20, 1999, at the nursing home after a long period of declining health. Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Auble Funeral Home in Orrville, with the Rev. Lowell Gerber officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Akron. Friends may call one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church Building Fund, 1556 Rex Drive, Orrville 44667. She was born Feb. 11, 1902 in Barberton to Arthur and Katie (Berger) Snyder and married William Franklin Pressler on Feb. 21, 1920 in Cuyahoga Falls. He died Aug. 2, 1968. Surviving are a daughter, Jeanne P. Stepfield of North Canton; grandchildren and their spouses, Pam and Mike Hobbs of Jenson Beach, Fla., Dr. Donald and Shirley Miller of Pulaski, Va., Patti and William Gallagher of Doylestown and Sandy and Tom Brockman of Canton; 10 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Roy Snyder of Loyal Oak.

Eureta M. Bowen
PERRYSVILLE --Eureta M. "Dolly" Bowen, 92, formerly of School Street, died Monday, July 19, 1999, at Colonial Manor Health Care Center in Loudonville, after a three-year illness. Services will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Byerly-Lindsey Funeral Home in Loudonville, with the Rev. Lor Breyley officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Perrysville. Friends may call one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Green-Perrysville Fire Department; or to St. John Lutheran Church in Perrysville. Surviving are nieces and nephews, Evajean Braden of Las Vegas, Nev., Leona Mawhorr of Mansfield, Electa Shotts of Perrysville, Wanda Uhl of Wooster, Gail Morehouse of Hayesville and Paul Bowen of Butler.

Donn Lyons
DALTON -- Donn B. Lyons, 74, 15028 Old Lincolnway E., died Tuesday, July 20, 1999, at Shady Lawn Nursing Home in Dalton. Graveside services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Wooster Cemetery, with Charles Craig officiating. There will be no calling hours. McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster is handling arrangements. Surviving are children, David Lyons of El Paso, Texas, and Rita K. Potts of San Antonio, Texas; four grandchildren; and a sister, Billie Moir of Bonita Springs, Fla.

Lauraette Duke
MEDINA -- Lauraette Sedgwick Duke, 93 years old, went home to be with the Lord, July 16, 1999 at Samaritan Care Center after a lengthy illness. She married O.C. Duke in 1928, just celebrating their 71st anniversary on July 7. They raised three children, Ronald, Marilyn and Verjean. She is survived by her husband, O.C. Duke, son, Ronald Duke, daughter, Marilyn (Frank) Ehrman; grandchildren, David, Christine, Linda, Mark, Clark, Daniel, Rhonda and Erin; many great-grandchildren and a nephew, Jim Sedgwick of Peoria, Ill. Services will be held Tuesday, July 20, 1999 at 11 a.m. at the Waite & Son Funeral Homes, Medina Chapel, 765 N. Court St. with the Rev. William Cunningham officiating. Interment will be in Spring Grove Cemetery. Family will receive friends Monday from 5-9 p.m. at the funeral home. The family suggests contributions may be made to Hospice of Medina County, 797 N. Court St., Medina 44256 or the Medina First Baptist Church, 3646 Medina Road, Medina 44256.

Delpha Rodhe
ORRVILLE -- Delpha Rodhe, 93, formerly of East Lincoln Way, U.S. 30, died Saturday, July 17, 1999, at the Rittman Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Rittman, following an extended illness. Services will be Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Alexander Funeral Home in Millersburg with the Rev. David Carrick officiating. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Tuesday. She married Dewey Rodhe. He died in 1951. Surviving are nieces and nephews.

PAINESVILLE -- Lance H. Wimer, 44, of Painesville, died Friday, July 16, 1999, at Huron Hospital in East Cleveland. Services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home, 368 Mentor Ave., Painesville with the Rev. Dr. John P. Davis III officiating. Burial will be at Williams Cemetery in Leroy. Friends may call tonight (Monday) from 7-9 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the family, c/o Johnson Funeral Home, 368 Mentor Ave., Painesville 44077. Surviving are his wife, Tammy Cowdrey-Wainio Wimer; a son, Joshua of the home; daughters, Amanda Wimer and Belinda Holcomb, both of Millersburg; his parents, Kenneth and Eileen Thomas of Leroy; a grandson, Terry Holcomb III; a brother, Brian W. (Cheryl) Wimer of Mentor; nieces, Catherine and Laura Wimer and his grandmother, Martha Bender of Leroy.

Roy Woodruff Sr.
WOOSTER -- Roy S. Woodruff Sr., 74, 255 S. Geyers Chapel Road, Lot 4, died Sunday, July 18, 1999, at his home. Services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home with the Rev. William H. Valentine officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Friends may call Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home. He married D. Pauline Gentry on June 8, 1946 in Kentucky. She survives. Surviving in addition to his wife are sons and daughters-in-law, Rudy and Bonnie Woodruff, Rex and Cheryl Woodruff and Roy Jr. and Diana Woodruff, all of Wooster, Rick and Ann Woodruff of Apple Creek, Randy and Kathy Woodruff of Moreland and Ronnie and Tina Woodruff of Millersburg; daughter and son-in-law, Crystal and Jim Wolford of Wooster; 18 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Clifford (Maxine) Sigler of Burbank and Mrs. Howard (Zelma May) Sigler of Blachleyville.

Lois Lemon
MANCHESTER -- Lois Elaine Lemon, of Manchester and formerly of Wooster, age 90, died Sunday, July 18, 1999 at Rittman Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral service will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Zak-Monbarren Funeral Home in Doylestown with Allen Jolly, Minister and Rev. Robert Stull officiating. Burial at Wooster Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Manchester Church of Christ, 930 W. Nimisila Road, Akron, 44319 or to Moreland United Methodist Church, 138 E. Moreland Road. Wooster 44691. She is survived by granddaughters, LeeAnne (Michael Rose) Sipple of Cleveland and Amy (Carlos) Simarro of Wadsworth and nine great-grandchildren.

Homer Sherk
LAKEVILLE -- Homer B. Sherk, 79, of Township Road 1060, died Thursday, July 15, 1999, at Wooster Community Hospital, after a long illness. Graveside services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Ashland County Memorial Park, where joint military services will be also held. Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at Heyl Funeral Home. He was born on March 13, 1920, in Brantford, Ontario, Canada to Claude and Lena (Folger) Sherk. Surviving are his wife, Ina Morris (Shaffer) Sherk, whom he married on Nov. 29, 1983; two sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel S. and Shirley Sherk of Huntington, W.Va. and Homer W. and Brenda Sherk of Ashland, and a daughter and son-in-law, Janice L. and Dale Flickenger of Mohicanville; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and two brothers; Lawrence Swineford and Lee Swineford, both of Ashland.

Charles Russell
DOYLESTOWN -- Charles E. Russell, age 72, died July 15, 1999. Charles E. Russel was born in Nelsonville on August 25, 1926 to William F. and Katherine (Baumgardner) Russell. He was preceded in death by wife, Ann Russell in 1998 and is survived by son, Frank Russell of Doylestown; sister, Myrtle Guy of Barberton; brother, Tom Tignor of Nelsonville; and a niece, Marjorie Kramer of Doylestown. Funeral service will be Monday at 11a.m. at Zak-Monbarren Funeral Home in Doylestown, with the Rev. Keith Hejnal officiating. Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Melvin Nelson
ORRVILLE -- Melvin "Elephant" Nelson, 89, formerly of 306 W. Chestnut St., died early Thursday morning, July 15, 1999, at Shady Lawn Health Care Community, where he had resided for the last fifteen years. Services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Orrville, with the Revs. Lonnie Brown and William Bunton officiating. Burial will take place at Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville. Friends may call on Sunday from 7-9 p.m. at Auble Funeral Home in Orrville, or one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. He was born on May 12, 1910 in Brownville, Tenn. to James and Dozella (Smith) Nelson and married Elizabeth Watkins in Brownsville, Tenn. in 1950. She died on Dec. 26, 1984. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, James H. and Jelnar Nelson of Wooster, sons, Joe Louis Nelson of Wooster and Edward L. Nelson of San Francisco, Calif., and three daughters, Shirley J. Nelson, Mary L. Nelson, and Phyllis A. Nelson, all of Orrville; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Ralph Norris
POLK -- Ralph E. Norris, 91, of 166 State Route 302, died Thursday night, July 15, 1999, at Mansfield Memorial Homes. Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville. Burial will be in the Red Haw Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home. He was born on July 18, 1907 in Wayne County to Samuel E. and Bessie (Evert) Norris. Surviving are his wife, Alice (Rickel) Norris; a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Timothy Paullin and a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Kathleen Norris, all of Ashland; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Cleo Hazlett and Edith Buzzard, both of Ashland, and a brother, John Norris of Ashland.

Anna Yoder
NEW PHILADELPHIA -- Anna R. Yoder, 88, 7689 Roy Andrews Road, NW, died Thursday, July 15, 1999, at Union Hospital in Dover, after a brief illness. Services will be Sunday at 9 a.m. at the Enos L. Miller residence, 7635 Roy Andrews Road, New Philadelphia, with Bishop Menno N. Miller officiating. Burial will be at Yoder-Coblentz Cemetery, Sugarcreek Township, Tuscarawas County. Friends may call anytime today (Friday) after 2 at the Yoder residence. Arrangements are being handled by Smith Funeral Home in Sugarcreek. She was born Jan. 27, 1911 in Sugarcreek Township to Robert S. and Emma (Weaver) Yoder and married Enos M. Yoder. He died May 19, 1972. Surviving are children, Mrs. Roman J.C. (Ada) Miller, Mrs. Dan I. (Mary Ann) Miller, Dan W. Yoder and his wife, Nancy, and Roman D. Yoder, all of Sugarcreek and Emma and Sara Yoder, both of the home; 22 grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren; a brother, Joe R. Yoder and a sister, Mary Ann R. Yoder, both of Sugarcreek.

Olen Dobbins
CHATHAM TOWNSHIP -- Olen Lee Dobbins, 79, of Chatham Township, died Thursday, July 15, 1999, at his home after a one-year illness. Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Parker & Son Funeral Home in Lodi, with the Rev. Louie Ezell officiating. Burial will be at Burbank Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home. He was born March 2, 1920 in Sutton, W.Va., to Worthy and Martha (Jenkins) Dobbins and married Irene P. Dean on July 26, 1952. She died in 1998. Surviving are children and their spouses, Robert L. and Kathy Dobbins of Seville, Billy E. and Willard Dobbins, both of Creston, Barbara and Lewis Meadows of Chippewa Lake, Sandra and Edward Casto of West Salem, Brenda and Dale Kisner of Westover, W.Va., Connie Stafinski and Bonnie Stuart, both of Chatham Township and Betty Dobbins of Homerville; 27 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Annie Stump and Ethel McIntyre, both of Gassaway, W.Va.

Fred Hannan
MANSFIELD -- Fred B. Hannan, 85, 626 McPherson St., died Tuesday evening, July 13, 1999, at MedCentral/Mansfield Hospital, after a six week illness. He was the brother of Carolyn Force of Shreve and George Hannan of Perrysville. Services will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Byerly-Lindsey Funeral Home in Loudonville, with the Rev. Gary Wilson officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Perrysville. Friends may call one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. He was born June 30, 1914 in Loudonville to James and Ruth (Wachtel) Hannan and married Anna Jo Wilson on Nov. 11, 1945. She survives. Other survivors include children, Richard Hannan and his wife, Bobbie, and Sharon Hannan, all of Mansfield; and two grandchildren.

APPLE CREEK -- Verna C. Yoder, 67, 11981 Harrison Road, died this morning, July 15, 1999, at her home after a 6-month illness. Services will be Saturday at 9 a.m. at the residence, with Bishop Ray Coblentz officiating. Burial will be at Hershberger Cemetery, Paint Township, Wayne County. Friends may call anytime at the residence. Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton is handling arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Wayne County, 2525-A Back Orrville Road, Wooster 44691. She was born Oct. 7, 1931 near Kidron to Sanford and Mattie (Weaver) Keim and married Crist D.E. Yoder on Nov. 17, 1953. He survives. Other survivors are children and their spouses, Neva and Joe W. Yoder, Mary and Lee R. Miller, Laura and Raymond L. Miller, Nettie and Eddie R. Miller, Robert C. and Rachael Yoder and Eddie C. and Mary Yoder, all of Apple Creek, Dan C. and Ella Yoder of West Union and Freeman C. and Marilyn Yoder of Dundee; 48 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and stepbrothers, Neal E. Miller of Farmerstown and Eli E. Miller of Bunker Hill.

ORRVILLE -- Graveside services for Alicia Daniel Jackson, infant daughter of Margerita Jackson, 212 N. Mill Street, has been changed to Friday at 10 a.m. at Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville. The Rev. Bernard Lawson will officiate. Arrangements are being handled by Auble Funeral Home in Orrville. She was stillborn Wednesday, July 7, 1999, at Dunlap Memorial Hospital in Orrville.

PEORIA, Ariz. -- Ruth A. Murray, 74, of Peoria, Ariz., formerly of Wayne County, died Thursday, July 8, 1999. Services were held Monday, July 12 at Chapel of the Chimes in Glendale, Ariz. Surviving are children, Sandra Grinder, Diana Hidey and Richard Holland; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Doris Edick, Carol Maughiman, Bonnie Wurtz and Connie Kiko; and brothers, Clyde Myers Jr., Leslie and Charles Myers. WOOSTER -- Rita A. Buchholz, 71, 2295 Autumn Run, died this morning, July 15, 1999, at Wooster Community Hospital. Friends may call Friday from 7-9 p.m. at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster. Those who wish may make contributions to St. Mary Catholic Church, P.O. Box 109, Wooster; or to American Heart Association, Wayne County Branch, P.O. Box 267, Wooster 44691. She was born May 5, 1928 in Massillon to Eugene and Marie (Kelly) Tyler and married John J. Buchholz on April 19, 1950. He survives. Other survivors include children, Deborah Fries, Becky Buchholz and Michael A. Buchholz and his wife, LeAnne, all of Wooster, Mrs. Steve (Carol) Joiner of Loganville, Ga., and Mrs. Jeff (Joyce Joiner of Snellville, Ga.; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Wicker of Charlotte, N.C., Loretta Harbert of Carrollton, LaVonne Cookson of Canton and Beth Figley of Dover, Del.; and brothers, Eugene and James Tyler, both of Wooster and Henry and Dale Tyler, both of Canton.
