Ruth Stock
MILLERSBURG -- Ruth (Marsh) Stock, 97, of Millersburg, formerly of Rocky River, died Wednesday morning, June 2, 1999, at her home. Memorial services will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at Inn at Honey Run, with the Rev. Barbara Davis officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the services at the Inn. Arrangements are being handled by Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg. The family suggests contributions be made to Holmes County Education Foundation; or Millersburg Library. She was born Aug. 9, 1901 in Austen, Ill., to Albert L. and Minnie (Heyward) Marsh and married Arthur J. Stock on May 10, 1924. He died Jan. 16, 1986. She was the mother of three children, John Robert Stock of Fairview Park, Dorothy Jean Freeman of Hilton Head, S.C., and Marjorie H. Stock of Millersburg; 11 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren.

Gary Geitgey Jr.
AKRON -- Gary Alan Geitgey Jr., 44, of Akron, died Tuesday, June 1, at Hospice Care Center in Copley. Services will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Roberts Funeral Home, Hillcrest Chapel, Wadsworth, with the Rev. Jim Newton officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Friends may call tonight (Thursday) from 6-8 at the funeral home. Those who wish may make contributions to Gary Geitgey, 429 Terrace, Rittman 44270. Survivors include his parents, a brother, Richard J. Geitgey and his wife, Doreen, a sister, Kimber Geitgey, and maternal grandmother, Roberta Simons, all of Rittman.

Edna Carlson
COLUMBUS -- Edna Carlson, 83, of Columbus, formerly of Ashland, died Wednesday, June 2, 1999, at St. Anne's Hospital in Columbus. Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Central College Presbyterian Church, 975 Sunbury Road, Westerville, with the Rev. Richard Ellsworth officiating. Burial will be at Blendon Township Central Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 2-4:30 p.m. at Hill Funeral Home, 220 S. State St., Westerville. Survivors include a son, Leland Carlson and his wife, Mayetta, of Bryan, Texas; grandchildren, Lisa Lyons and her husband, Charles, of Kingwood, Texas, and Wendy Burgin and her husband, Chris, of Houston; great-grandchildren, Amanda and Russell Lyons; a brother, Stanley Bupp of Wooster; and nieces and nephews.

LITITZ, Pa. -- Jesse Neuenschwander, 65, 325 W. Newport Road, Lititz, Pa., formerly of Kidron, died Monday morning, May 31, 1999, after suffering an apparent heart attack. Services will be Friday at 9:30 a.m. at White Oak Mennonite Church, 2456 Newport Road, Manheim, Pa. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. and Thursday from 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the church. Arrangements are being handled by Buch Funeral Home in Manheim, Pa. Surviving are his wife, Helen (Heistand) Neuenschwander; children and their spouses, William C. and Barbara Schuler of Marietta, Mahlon and Sharon Neuenschwander, Jacob and Mary Jane Neuenschwander and John and Dorcas Neuenschwander, all of Manheim, Pa., Nelson and Eva Jane Neuenschwander and Miriam and David Sensenig, all of Lititz, Pa., Titus Neuenschwander of the home, Ruby and Andrew Mack of Mercersburg, Pa., Martha and Irwin Nolt of Fortuna, Mo., and Rachel and Argyl Eby of Guatemala; 48 grandchildren; two great-grandsons; brothers, Paul A., Tilman A. and Clarence N. Neuenschwander, all of Kidron and Harry Neuenschwander of Columbiana; and sisters, Mabel Geiser of Apple Creek and Luella Eberly of Kidron.

Dorris Stevens
RITTMAN -- Dorris A. (Slater) Stevens, 67, 38 W. Ohio Ave., died Sunday, May 30, 1999, at her home. Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Gillman Funeral Home in Rittman, with the Rev. Bret Deffenbaugh officiating. Burial will be at Wooster Cemetery. Friends may call tonight (Tuesday) from 7-9 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Wayne County, 2525-A Back Orrville Road, Wooster 44691. Surviving are children and their spouses, Keith and Lisa Wilson of Grafton, W.Va., Diana and Alan Millington of Columbus, and Coral and Scott Eash of Orrville; 11 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and a loving friend, Louise Patton of Rittman.

Glenn Welsh
MILLERSBURG -- Glenn R. Welsh, 95, 710 S. Washington St., died Monday morning, May 31, 1999, at the home of his son. Graveside services will be Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery, with the Rev. Eldon Trubee officiating. Friends may call Wednesday from 1-2 p.m. at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg. He was born Dec. 7, 1903 in Marshall, Wis., to Roe and Bertha (Sweet) Welsh and married Marie Margaret Murphy on Dec. 15, 1926. She died Dec. 18, 1987. Surviving are a son, Barton Welsh and his wife, Mary Kay, of Millersburg; grandchildren, Mrs. Tom (Joyce) Weber of Strongsville and Bradley Welsh and his wife, Melissa, of Millersburg; and a great-granddaughter, Katie Welsh.

Hazel Rogers
SHREVE -- Hazel Dale Rogers, 83, 300 Jones St., died Monday, May 31, 1999, at West View Manor Nursing Home, Wooster, after a brief illness. Memorial services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Shreve Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Christopher P. Stewart officiating. Burial for family and close friends will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Wooster Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Johnston-Schlabach Funeral Home in Shreve, is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Shreve Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 587, Shreve 44676; or to Hospice of Wayne County, 2525-A Back Orrville Road, Wooster 44691. She was born July 23, 1915 in Franklin Township, Wayne County to Walter A. and Leona (Kimber) Fowler and married Loy J. Rogers on June 7, 1945. He died Oct. 24, 1992. Surviving are children and their spouses, Lynne Rogers-Blaut and Michael Blaut of Germany, and Bruce and Maria Rogers of Plymouth, Minn.; grandchildren, Sarah and Carola Blaut; stepgrandchildren, Samuel, Cindy and Teresa; seven step-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ruth Dall of Butler.

Mary Steward
ASHLAND -- Mary Lois Steward, 79, 1132 County Road 1175, died Sunday, May 30, 1999, at Cleveland Clinic. She was the mother and mother-in-law of Patty and Mike Hiller of Polk. Services will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville, with the Rev. Don Young officiating. Burial will be at Lakefork Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Lakefork United Methodist Church. She was born Dec. 22, 1919 in Ashland County to Clarence Eugene and Myrtle Inez (Eineman) Sours and married Howard E. Steward on March 25, 1940. He survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Mary Funk and her husband, Jerry, of Ashland; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Virginia Steward of Ashland.

Alma Raber
UNIONTOWN -- Alma Fern Raber, 68, of Uniontown and Sarasota, Fla., died Sunday, May 30, 1999, at Mercy Medical Center, after a massive heart attack. She was the mother and mother-in-law of Pauline and Simon Wiles of Fredericksburg. Services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at King Church in Uniontown, with Eli Weaver and Noah Schrock officiating. Burial will be at Walnut Grove Cemetery. Friends may call tonight (Tuesday) and Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. at Hartville Mennonite Church, 1470 Smith-Kramer Road, NE. Arrangements are being handled by Arnold Funeral Home in Hartville. She was born June 13, 1930 in Hutchinson, Kan., to Jacob and Anna (Miller) Richer and married Amos Raber on Jan. 27, 1949. He died Dec. 25, 1995. Other survivors include children and their spouses, Monica and Jerry Miller of Molalla, Ore., Willis, Larry and Michael Raber all of Uniontown and LaVern and Virginia Raber of Sunset, S.C.; seven grandchildren; and a sister, Katie of Connecticut.

Robert Bender
SAINT MARYS -- Robert L. Bender, 71, 06102 Washington Pike, died Saturday morning, May 29, 1999, at his residence after a long illness. He was the father and father-in-law of Robert and Christine Bender of Shreve. Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, with the Rev. Nathan Wierwille officiating. Burial will be at Elm Grove Cemetery in Saint Marys. Friends may call two hours prior to the services at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Darke/Mercer County Hospice in care of the funeral home. He was born March 5, 1928 in Mercer County to Harold and Margaret May (Lehman) Bender and married Claudia S. Goldnetz on Dec. 4, 1961. She survives. Other survivors include two granddaughters; sisters, Evelyn Ruth Burger of Saint Marys and Shirley Ann Edmiston of New Haven, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews.

Zoid Stair
WOOSTER -- Zoid L. Stair, 87, 2610 Columbus Road, died Monday afternoon, May 21, 1999, at Wayne County Care Center. Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at First Church of God on Akron Road, Wooster, with the Rev. O.J. Thompson officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster. Those who wish may make contributions to First Church of God, 1953 Akron Road, Wooster; or to Wayne County Care Center, Respite Unit, 876 S. Geyers Chapel Road, Wooster 44691. He was born Feb. 5, 1912 in McZena to George and Ferne (Kick) Stair and married June Mosher on Sept. 25, 1935. She survives. Other survivors include children and their spouses, Mabel and Dr. Loren Kirchner of Wooster and Dean and Jane Stair of Orrville; granddaughters and their husbands, Jill and Michael Herncane, Cynthia and Mark Pollman, Deanna and Chris Lamb, Teri Sue and Michael Kerrigan and Tracey and Matt Dixon; and five great-grandchildren.

Anita Bryan
SULLIVAN -- Anita J. Bryan, 70, of Sullivan, died early Friday morning, May 29, 1999, at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, after an apparent heart attack. Graveside services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Sullivan Cemetery with the Rev. Jim Rowsey officiating. Friends may call Monday from 7-9 p.m. at the Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main St., New London. She was born Oct. 3, 1928 in Nova to Royal and Grace (Benton) Smith. Surviving are her husband of 47 years, Eugene Bryan; daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Jim Gribben of Ashland; son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Paulette Bryan of West Salem and two grandchildren.

Rev. Charles Hering
TIFFIN -- The Rev. Charles Daniel Hering, 100, formerly of 29 Franklin St., and formerly of Wooster, died Friday, May 28, 1999, at St. Francis Home in Tiffin. Memorial Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Old Trinity Episcopal Church in Tiffin. The family will receive friends in the Undercross at the church following the services. The body has been cremated and the cremains will be buried in the Memory Garden at St. James Episcopal Church in Grosse Ile, Mich., a memorial garden which Rev. Hering started when he served there. Memorial contributions may be made to the Old Trinity Episcopal Church, Tiffin or to the Charles D. "Bud" Hering Foundation, Tiffin. Arrangements are being handled by the Hannay-Traunero Funeral Home in Tiffin. He married Alice Winifred Lenton on June 9, 1920 in Miami, Manitoba, Canada. She died in April 1986. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Leona Mary) Shawver of Oxford; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Antoinette Lehman
KETTERING -- Antoinette B. "Toni" (Burgoon) Lehman, 82, of Kettering, died Tuesday, May 25, 1999. Memorial services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at David's United Church of Christ in Kettering with the Rev. Bill Youngkin officiating. Friends may call Friday from 5-8 p.m. at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Road, Kettering. Memorial contributions may be made to David's United Church of Christ, 170 W. David Road, Kettering 45409 or Heartland Hospice, 2555 S. Dixie Drive, Suite 101, Kettering 45409. Surviving are a son, George Dwight Lehman of New Orleans, La.; daughter and son-in-law, Ann L. and Robert Fraile of Grand Blanc, Mich; five granddaughters; a great-granddaughter; two sisters-in-law, Mildred L. Swanger of Willoughby and Betty Burgoon; a brother-in-law, Russell W. Leedy; three nieces and a nephew.

Helen McNulty
WOOSTER -- Helen G. McNulty, 75, a resident of Horn's Nursing Home and formerly of 311 E. South St. and Orrville, died Saturday morning, May 29, 1999, at Wooster Community Hospital, following a long illness. Services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Auble Funeral Home in Orrville with the Rev. William Valentine officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Cuyahoga Falls. Friends may call Monday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. She married Cecil McNulty on April 27, 1947 in Cuyahoga Falls. He died Sept. 20, 1993. Surviving are a son and his wife, Robert and Lynn Kinney-McNulty of East Sound, Wash.; a son, Thomas McNulty of Akron; daughters and their husbands, Patricia and Roger Breithaupt of Olympia, Wash. and Helen R. and James A. Masters of Wooster; a daughter, Lois Marsh of Portland, Ore.; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Frank Grant of Akron and Warren Thompson of Lima and three sisters, Viola J. Kosinsky of Fayetteville, Ga., Betty Bucy of Akron and Dorothy Strickney of Mountain View, Ark.

Gwendolyn Minser
AZLE, Texas -- Gwendolyn G. Minser, 93, of Azle, Texas, and formerly of Mount Eaton, died Friday, May 28, 1999, at her residence following a period of declining health. Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton with Revs. Lewis Shaffer and David Shaffer and Mr. Tom Chelf officiating. Burial will be in the Westlawn Cemetery in Mount Eaton. Friends may call Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. She married Doyle M. Minser on Feb. 7, 1925. He died Jan. 16, 1984. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Glenn (Betty Joan) (Chelf) Todd of Irma, Wis., and Mrs. Lewis (Sandy) Shaffer of Azle, Texas, with whom she had made her home; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and a great-great granddaughter.

Benjamin Fair
WOOSTER -- Benjamin S. Fair, 73, of Wooster and formerly of West Salem, died Saturday, May 29, 1999, at Wadsworth-Rittman Hospital. Services will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Matteson Funeral Home in West Salem with the Rev. Robert Holmes officiating. Burial will be at Congress Cemetery. Friends may call tonight (Sunday) from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home. He married Doris Garver on July 19, 1944. She survives. Surviving in addition to his wife are sons and daughters-in-law, Eddie W. and Linda Fair of Camden, Mich. and Craig and Eva Fair of West Salem; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Helen Badger of West Salem and a brother, Charles Fair of Jeromesville.

Wilma Postle
ASHLAND -- Wilma M. Postle, 70, of Ashland, died Friday evening, May 28, 1999, at Austin Health Care Center in Wooster. Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Matteson Funeral Home in West Salem with the Rev. Bud Sprague officiating. Burial will be at Nankin Cemetery in Nankin. Friends may call Monday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Wayne County, 2525A Back Orrville Road, Wooster 44691. Surviving are daughters and sons-in-law, Janet and Rick Boldman of Michigan, Joyce and Tom Kreider of Wooster, Gail Streit of Ashland and Robin and Steve Elson of Polk; four grandchildren; five brothers, Donald Johnson of Oberlin, Charles Johnson of Arkansas, James Johnson of Woodville, Theodore Johnson of Elyria and Frank Johnson of New York and two sisters, Gladys Hollaway of Tennessee and Marion Spencer of Florida.
