Sarah Hershberger
SHREVE -- Sarah Hershberger, 90, 446 S. Wells St., died Monday, Aug. 30, 1999, at Wooster Community Hospital.
Services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at East Union Mennonite Church, 10678 Old Lincoln Way, Orrville, with Pastors Delmar Falb, Leonard Wengerd and Paul Kandel officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Friends may call Wednesday from 6-9 p.m. at the church, or one hour prior to the services.
Arrangements are being handled by Johnston-Schlabach Funeral Home in Shreve.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Short Term Mission Fund, East Union Mennonite Church, 10678 Old Lincoln Way, Orrville 44667.
She was born Aug. 8, 1909 in Holmes County to Ammon E. and Anna (Miller) Mullet and married Eli E. Hershberger on May 16, 1931. He died Sept. 12, 1984.
Surviving are sons, Willard W. (Wilma) Hershberger, R. Dean (Mary) Hershberger and Merven D. (Mickie) Hershberger, all of Shreve; nine grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Ivan Mullet of Berlin.

Cindy Harper
WOOSTER -- Lucinda A. "Cindy" Harper, 40, 2046 Normandy Drive, died Saturday, Aug. 28, 1999, at Midwestern Regional Medical Center in Zion, Ill.
Services will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster, with the Rev. Dr. Alan E. Nathan officiating. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery, Shreve.
Friends may call Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association, in care of Vickie Slater, 2713 Congress Road, Wooster; or to American Cancer Society, Wayne County Branch, in care of Wooster Clinic, 1740 Cleveland Road, Wooster 44691.
She was born Sept. 25, 1958 in Wooster to Wayne and Glenda (Cummings) McClaran and married James E. Harper on Aug. 25, 1995. He survives.
Other survivors include children, Shawn McClaran and Joshua Harper, both of the home, Ashley and Brandan Harper, both of Orrville; her mother of Wooster; a sister, Mrs. David (April) Bresson of Wooster; a niece, Tara Findley of Wooster; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

William Hostettler
MANSFIELD -- William Clyde Hostettler, 26, 885 Woodville Road, No. 8, died Sunday, Aug. 29, 1999, at MetroHealth Medical Center of Cleveland, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident near Norwalk.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster, with the Rev. Bruce Henneman officiating. Burial will be at Newkirk Cemetery, Shreve.
Friends may call Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Camp Otyokwah Memorial Fund, in care of First Church of God, 1953 Akron Road, Wooster 44691.
Surviving are his father and stepmother, Richard and Betty Hostettler of Fredericksburg; his mother of Shreve; brothers, Rob Leon Martin of Wooster and Randy Lee Martin of Shreve; a sister, Leona G. Lutsch of Shreve; and a step-grandmother, Anna Miller of Millersburg.

Ruth Ott
DALLAS -- Ruth J. Ott, 86, of Dallas, formerly of Wooster, died Sunday, Aug. 29, 1999, at Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, after a short illness.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Chapel at Wooster Cemetery, with the Rev. Alan Nathan of Zion Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be at Wooster Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours. McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster is handling arragements.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Wayne County, 2525-A Back Orrville Road, Wooster 44691.
She was born May 25, 1913 in Pittsburgh, to Dr. William and Viola (Bond) Goodpastor and married Dr. Doyle C. Ott. He died Sept. 23, 1994.
Surviving is a daughter and son-in-law, Betty Jean and Charles Areson, 9315 Pinewood Drive, Dallas 75243.

Vivian Robinson
ELYRIA -- Vivian L. Robinson, 78, formerly of Elyria, died Saturday afternoon, Aug. 28, 1999, at the home of her son in Jeromesville.
Family graveside services will be held at a later date. There will be no calling hours. Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville is handling arrangements.
She was born June 25, 1921 in Glenmont to Frank and Mary (Leply) Butler.
Surviving are sons, Joseph L. Robinson of Jeromesville and Edward A. Robinson of Elyria; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Marge Mackey and Dorothy Elliott, and a brother, Edward Butler, all of Brinkhaven.

Willard Chapman
JEROMESVILLE -- Willard J. Chapman, 86, 98 County Road 1950, died Sunday morning, Aug. 29, 1999, at Griffeth Nursing Home in Ashland.
Graveside services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Jeromesville Cemetery, with Jerry Gess officiating. There will be no calling hours. Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville, is handling arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio Inc., 1605 County Road 1095, Ashland 44805; or to Griffeth Nursing Home in Ashland.
He was born Aug. 24, 1913 in Jeromesville to George W. and Maude (Jennings) Chapman.
Surviving are his wife, Thelma (Bonnell) Chapman; and two nephews.

John Hall
ORRVILLE -- John R. Hall, 65, 8690 Rohrer Road, formerly of Newcomerstown, died Sunday morning, Aug. 29, 1999, at his home after a long illness.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Auble Funeral Home in Orrville, with Pastor Darryle Moody officiating. Burial will be at Smithville Cemetery, where military rites will be conducted by the Orrville American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Friends may call Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Orrville Harvest Hills Church of the Nazarene, 605 Mineral Springs, Orrville 44667; or to Hospice of Wayne County, 2525-A Back Orrville Road, Wooster 44691.
He was born Oct. 25, 1933 in Barnesville to John A. and Mary R. (Hartley) Hall and married Shirley M. Young on May 1, 1959 in Newcomerstown. She survives.
Other survivors include children, Virginia L. Stowers of Columbus, Gregory A. Hall of Orrville, Mary L. Patton of Wooster and Rhonda S. Morrison and her husband, Bill, of Smithville; grandchildren, Kara Patton, Michael, Billy and Leslie Morrison; sisters and their husbands, Olive and Russell Gilmore of New Philadelphia and Arlene and Gene Clark of Grove City; and a brother, William L. Hall of West Lafayette.

Goldie Remenaric
ORRVILLE -- Goldie A. Remenaric, 80, 933 Magnolia Lane, died Sunday, Aug. 29, 1999, at Dunlap Memorial Hospital in Orrville.
Services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Orrville, with Father Paul Wysocki officiating. Burial will be at Mount Eaton Cemetery.
Friends may call Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. at Gresser Funeral Home in Orrville, where a Wake service will be held at 8:30 p.m.
She was born Sept. 6, 1918 in Conifer, Pa., to Salvator and Alvina Monarch and married Joseph Remenaric on Aug. 8, 1958. He died Feb. 25, 1990.
Surviving are a son, Rick Remenaric and his wife, Julie, of Wooster; granddaughters, Erin and Kaitlin Remenaric, both of Wooster; a brother, Jim Monarch of Franklin, Pa.; and sisters, Lena Ricksecker of West Lebanon and Joanne Montana of Franklin, Pa.

Lorna McClintock
WOOSTER -- Lorna M. McClintock, 78, 2647 Burbank Road, died Saturday, Aug. 28, 1999, at her home.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church of Wooster, with the Rev. Dale Sanford officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster.
Those who wish may make contributions to People to People Ministries, 454 E. Bowman St., Wooster; Healthcare 2000, 560 Winter St., Wooster; Hospice of Wayne County, 2525-A Back Orrville Road, Wooster; or to American Cancer Society, Wayne County Branch, in care of Wooster Clinic, 1740 Cleveland Road, Wooster 44691.
She was born May 13, 1921 in Fredericksburg to Arthur and Augusta (Maass) Hoare and married Charles P. McClintock on April 25, 1941. He survives.
Other survivors include sons, Mark McClintock of Mount Vernon and Jon McClintock of Columbus; grandchildren, Nichole, Alex and Andy McClintock, all of Westerville, and Nicholas and Thomas Popadich, both of Draper, Utah; a brother, Henry Hoare and his wife, Maxine, of Atlanta; a sister, Caroline Watson of Inverness, Fla.; and a family friend, Shirley Oare of Leesburg, Fla.

Donna Kauf
CINNAMON LAKE -- Donna Jean Kauf, 64, of Cinnamon Lake, passed away Friday, Aug. 27, 1999, at her home, following a lengthy period of declining health.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, at 1 p.m. at Parker and Sons Funeral Home, 210 Medina St., Lodi, with the Rev. Kristin McKinley officiating. Burial will follow at Burbank Cemetery.
Friends may call Monday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family suggest in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Akron Blind Center, 325 E. Market St., Akron 44304.
She was born Oct. 27, 1934 in Burbank to Harry and Pauline (Kime) Simcox and later graduated from Burbank High School in 1952.
Surviving are her husband, Russell; two daughters, Deborah (Peter) Plank and Denise Marty, both of Cinnamon Lake; grandchildren, Sara, Mitchell and Emily Plank and Heather Marty; four sisters, Beverly (Raymond) Pope of Lodi, Lois (Leonard) of South Carolina, Marilyn (Jack) Benedict of Medina, and Carolyn (Dan) Fitz of Cinnamon Lake.

Emma Leathers
WOOSTER -- Emma I. Leathers, 89, of 1654 Oakwood Circle, Wooster, died Friday, Aug. 27, 1999, at Wooster Community Hospital.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at McIntire, Davis and Greene Funeral Home, with the Rev. Paul Gnagy officiating. Burial will be in Smithville Cemetery.
Friends may call Sunday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
He was born March 2, 1910 in Ravenna to Clark H. and Zaidee M. (Hutchison) Martin and married Harry Leathers. He died in 1987.
Surviving are five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; five great-greatgrandchildren; a brother, Robert J. Martin of Elyria, and a sister, Mrs. Roy (Arlene) Shaner of Wooster.

Floyd Hawkins
BRINKHAVEN -- Floyd Hawkins, 83, of 1739 County Road 25, died Thursday, Aug. 26, 1999, at Sunset Nursing Home in Millersburg. His health had rapidly declined since he fell on July 27.
Memorial services will be Sept. 5 at 2 p.m. at Killbuck Valley Christian Church, 1050 County Road 620, Killbuck.
There will be no calling hours.
Memorial contributions may be made to Millersburg Seventh-Day Adventist Church, care of Ruby A. Rice, 11227 Township Road 252, Killbuck 44637.
He was born Dec. 31, 1915 in Coshocton County to Andrew Jackson and Alice Permmilla (Preston) Hawkins. He married Mary Elizabeth Gosser on Sept. 27, 1945. She died March 27, 1989.
Surviving are three children and their spouses, Carol and Dale Maurer of Shreve, Marcella and Tim Bartrum of Brinkhaven and Marilyn of Millersburg and her fiance, Mike Smith, of North Carolina; three grandchildren, Seth and Kyle Maurer and Ashley Hawkins, and his two beloved cats, Callie and Spotty.

Benjamin Raber
MILLERSBURG -- Benjamin L. Raber, 72, of 3468 County Road 168, died Friday, Aug. 27, 1999, at 2:10 p.m., at Joel Pomerene Hospital Emergency Department, after a long illness.
Services will be Monday at 9 a.m. in the Raber residence, with Bishop Noah A. Troyer officiating. Burial will follow in Raber Cemetery in Walnut Creek Township, Holmes County.
Friends may call on Saturday anytime after 2 p.m. at the residence.
Arrangements are being handled by Smith Funeral Home in Sugarcreek.
He was born Nov. 3, 1926 in Holmes County to Levi J. and Saloma H. (Miller) Raber and married Martha D. Miller on Nov. 28, 1950. She survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are four daughters, Mrs. Bert (Esta) Raber of Chuckey, Tenn., Martha Raber of the home, Mrs. Firman (Ruth Ann) Miller of Millersburg, and Mrs. James R. (Wilma) Troyer of Huntsville, and his sons, John Paul (Carrie) Raber and Ben (Marlene) Raber, Jr., both of Millersburg; 26 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four sisters, Malinda Yoder of Sugarcreek, Mrs. Abner (Mattie) Wengerd and Mrs. Roy (Fannie) Weaver, both of Millersburg, and Mrs. Richard (Ada) Slabaugh of Milford, Ind. and two brothers, Emanuel (Katie) Raber of Millersburg and Levi (Donna) Raber of Strasburg.

Anna Mast
GENEVA, Ind. -- Anna D. Mast, 83, 4185 E. 1000 S., died Wednesday, Aug. 25, 1999, at her residence.
Services will be Saturday at 9 a.m. at the residence, with Bishop Jonas J. Graber officiating. Burial will be at Bunker Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call anytime after 3 today (Friday) at the residence.
Arrangements are being handled by Downing Funeral Home in Geneva, Ind.
She was born Jan. 22, 1916 in LaGrange, Ind., to Dan J. and Katie (Frey) Schwartz and married Andrew D. Mast on March 18, 1956. He died previously.
Surviving are stepchildren, Roy Mast of Dover, Del., Abe Mast of Charm, Daniel Mast of Holmesville, Mrs. Ray (Emma) Schlabaugh of Guthre, Ky., Mrs. Aden (Ada) Burkholder of Millersburg, Mrs. Ervin (Mary) Miller and Sarah A. Mast, both of Apple Creek; 36 stepgrandchildren; 62 step-great-grandchildren; brothers, Menno D. Schwartz of Seymour, Mo., Chris E., Aaron E. and David E. Schwartz, all of Geneva, Ind.; and sisters, Mrs. Amos N. (Sarah) Eicher of Hudson, Ky., Mrs. Eli M. (Mattie) Coblentz of Portland, Ind., Mrs. Chris A. (Elizabeth) Graber of Bryant, Ind., Mrs. Dan S. (Barbara) Hilty of Geneva, Ind., with whom she had made her home and Mrs. Peter J. (Leah) Schwartz of Seymour, Mo.
A stepdaughter, Lovina Taylor, two step-grandchildren, two step-great-grandchildren, brothers, Daniel D., Jacob D., John E., Joseph E. and Jonas E., and sisters, Mary Ann, Fanny E. and Emma E., died previously.
