USA High School Yearbooks by State and County

Dominic Giacomo
CANTON -- Dominic J. Giacomo, 62, of Canton, died Monday, Aug. 2, 1999, at Shady Lawn Nursing in Dalton.
Services were Thursday at 11 a.m. at Reed Funeral Home in Canton. Burial was at Calvary Cemetery in Massillon.
Surviving are three children, Ed, Steven and Kathy; his mother of Canton and a brother, Ron Giacomo of Wooster.

Roy Adams
LAKEWOOD - U.S. Army Retired Maj. Roy William Adams, 69, of Lakewood and formerly of Wooster, died Tuesday, Aug. 3, 1999, at the Lakewood Hospital in Lakewood.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in Mackey Hall on the College of Wooster campus with eulogist, Dr. R. Stanton Hales. Burial will be at Wooster Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by McIntire, Davis and Greene Funeral Home.
He married Patricia Mae Shields on April 16, 1966. She died Dec. 28, 1994.
Surviving is a stepbrother, M. Keith Goodrich of Lake Forest, Ill.

John Keim
WOOSTER -- John S. Keim, 89, of Wooster and formerly of West Salem, died Tuesday, Aug. 3, 1999, at Wooster Community Hospital.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Matteson Funeral Home in West Salem with the Rev. Martha Mathatas officiating. Burial will be at Wooster Cemetery.
Friends may call tonight (Thursday) from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to West Salem United Methodist Church, 80 E. Buckeye St., West Salem 44287.
Surviving are his wife, Eleanor (Taylor) Keim, whom he married June 18, 1939; a daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Gary Price of Wakeman; two sons and a daughter-in-law, John Keim of Sullivan and James and Fay Keim of Wooster; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Harvey Keim Jr. of Wooster and a sister, Betty Bach of Wooster.

Mary Casper
WOOSTER -- Mary E. (DiPasqua) Casper, 86, 638 Cobblestone Court, died this morning (Thursday), Aug. 5, 1999, at her home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery.
Friends may call Friday from 7-9 p.m. at the McIntire, Davis and Greene Funeral Home.
Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Hospice of Wayne Co., Inc., 2525A Back Orrville Road, Wooster 44691 or to St. Mary's Building Fund, P.O. Box 109, Wooster 44691 in her memory.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Alex (Betsy) Karalis of Lombard, Ill.; grandchildren, Ronald P. McCafferty of Elgin, Ill., Sandra L. (McCafferty) LaFarlette of Idaho Falls, Idaho and Deborah A. McCafferty of Robbins, Ill.; a great-granddaughter, Sarah M. LaFarlette of Idaho Falls, Idaho; two sisters, Mrs. John (Edythe) Beck and Mrs. Edward (Carmela) Shields, both of Wooster and a brother, Anthony DiPasqua of Wooster.
She was preceded in death by her husband and childhood sweetheart, Carl A. Gasbarre Casper, on Aug. 18, 1991, whom she married in 1934 at St. Mary Catholic Church.

Eleanor Lance
STERLING -- Eleanor J. Lance, 70, 13764 Kauffman Ave., died Wednesday evening, Aug. 4, 1999, at her home, following a brief illness.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with the Rev. Fay A. Botten officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call Friday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Medina County, 797 N. Court St., Medina 44256.
She married John L. Lance on May 14, 1947. He died Jan. 22, 1993.
Surviving are children, Roger and Patricia Lance of Sterling, Judy and Larry Uhler of Creston, Joel and Jackie Lance of Wooster and Greg Lance of Creston; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Glenda Woods of Wooster and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Wanda and Lloyd Gerber of Dalton and Donna and Ross Leach of Smithville.

Carl Schar
WEST LIBERTY -- Carl R. Schar, 94, of West Liberty, died Thursday, July 29, 1999, at Green Hills Care Center in West Liberty.
Memorial services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Gresser Funeral Home in Orrville.
There will be no calling hours.
He married Lucille Conrad on Aug. 15, 1928. She died Aug. 9, 1993.
Surviving are son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Marilyn Schar of Camarillo, Calif.; daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Ed Cerwinsky of West Liberty; six grandchildren; a great-grandchild and a sister, Ruth Rice of Gloucester Point, Va.

Melvin Yoder
MILLERSBURG -- Melvin D. Yoder, 79, of Millersburg, died Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 3, 1999, at Majora Lane Care Center in Millersburg, following an extended illness.
Services will be Friday at 10 a.m. at the Zion Conservative Mennonite Church, County Road 207, Benton. Burial will be at the Hochstetler Cemetery, Berlin Township.
Friends may call Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the church.
Arrangements are being handled by Alexander Funeral Home in Millersburg.
Memorial contributions may be made to Christian Aid Ministry, Berlin 44610.
Surviving are four brothers, Joni D. Yoder of Belleville, Pa. Sam D. Yoder, David D. Yoder and Lester D. Yoder, all of Millersburg and three sisters, Verna Mast of Millersburg, Katie Mast of Phoenix, Ariz. and Anna Ropp of Marysville.

Gladys Tomblin
ORRVILLE -- Gladys M. Tomblin, 81, of Orrville and formerly of Wayne, W.Va. died Friday, July 30, 1999, at Doctors Hospital in Massillon.
Services were held Tuesday at Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Wayne, W.Va. Elders Ivory Williamson and Charles Lucas officiated. Burial was in Hillcrest Cemetery in Kenova, W.Va.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Wayne County, 2525A Back Orrville Road, Wooster 44691.
She married Jay Tomblin. He died previously.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Thurman and Joan Tomblin and Erval and Judy Tomblin; two daughters and a son-in-law, Ada and Jim Grose and Polly Spence, all of Orrville; 14 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sissy Mae Jones of Lewisburg, W.Va. and Alice Brumfield of Kenova, W.Va.

Edna Reynolds
ORRVILLE -- Edna M. (Badertscher) Reynolds, 102, of Brenn-Field Nursing Center, Orrville, died Monday afternoon, August 2, 1999, at the nursing center following a long period of declining health.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Orrville with the Rev. Ramsey Wallace officiating. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville.
Friends may call tonight (Wednesday) from 7-9 p.m. at Auble Funeral Home in Orrville or one hour prior to the services at the church on Thursday.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Alliance Women, c/o Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, 300 South Walnut St., Orrville 44667 or to a charity of the donor's choice.
She married Harvey Badertscher on Nov. 12, 1916 in Kidron. He died in January of 1970. She then married George Reynolds on Aug. 22, 1971 in Orrville. He died in June of 1979.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. William H. (Valeda Yoder) Bezanson of Fort Myers, Fla. and Eleanor Maiwurm of Orrville; a son, Wilford (Donna) Badertscher of Orrville; three stepdaughters, Evelyn Forfia of Orrville, Mrs. William (Alice) Olson of Wooster, and Elizabeth Gensler of North Olmsted; a stepson, Robert (Margaret) Reynolds of Orrville; eight grandchildren; sixteen step-grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren, numerous step-great-grandchildren and seven great- great-grandchildren.

WOOSTER -- John S. Keim, 89, of Wooster and formerly of West Salem, died Tuesday, Aug. 3, 1999, at Wooster Community Hospital.

NEFFS -- Margaret R. Figura, 82, of Neffs, died Wednesday, July 28, 1999, at her home.
Services were held Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Neffs. The Rev. Gary Zalenski officiated. Burial was at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 54038 St. Mary's Avenue, Neffs 43940 or the Neffs Fire Department, P.O. Box 227, Neffs 43940.
Arrangements were handled by Bauknecht Funeral Home in Bellaire.
Surviving are two sons, Joseph of Orrville and Louis "Ed" of St. Clairsville; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Sandra) Jefferis of Barnesville; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three brothers, Joseph Phillips of Canton, Paul Phillips of Akron and Steve Phillips of Trevose, Pa. and seven sisters, Anna Banfield of Rittman, Sister Agnes Phillips of Bardstown, Ky., Susie Constable of Hemet, Calif., Josephine Phillips and Mildred McCammon, both of Wadsworth, Pauline Petcovic of Freedom, Pa. and Kathleen Copus of Cleveland.

Clara Buchwalter
WOOSTER -- Clara L. Buchwalter, 86, formerly of Back Orrville Road, died Monday, Aug. 2, 1999, at Brenn-Field Nursing Center, following a long illness.
Services will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the Paradise Church of the Brethren with the Rev. Robert Armitage officiating. Burial will be at Paradise Cemetery, Wooster.
Friends may call Wednesday from 6-9 p.m. at Gresser Funeral Home in Orrville.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Wayne County, 2525A Back Orrville Road, Wooster 44691 or Paradise Church Memorial Fund.
She married Ellis Buchwalter on April 30, 1929. He died Oct. 9, 1987.
Surviving are sons and their spouses, Donald and Norma Buchwalter of Orrville, Bill and Betty Buchwalter of Wooster and Dale and Betty L. Buchwalter, all of Wooster; nine grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren and a sister, Dorothy Sinclair of Smithville.

Patricia Boley
WADSWORTH -- Patricia J. (Swisher) Boley, 58, of Wadsworth, died Sunday, Aug. 1, 1999, at Akron General Medical Center, after a lengthy illness.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Hilliard Cox Mullaney Funeral Home, Wadsworth with the Rev. Kenneth Baldwin officiating. Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Marshallville.
Friends may call tonight (Tuesday) from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the services on Wednesday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Pam of Canal Fulton, daughters, Mrs. Willie (Peggy) Hanna and Kitty Bell, both of Rittman; grandchildren, Matthew, Bradley, Steven, Angel, Kevin, Justina, Nicholas, Amber and Jason; a brother, Ronnie Swisher of Wadsworth and three sisters, Shirley Humrichouser of Orrville, Vickie Haas of Bolivar and Bonnie Henthorn of Orrville.

Lydia Weaver
WOOSTER -- Lydia H. Weaver, 89, 7291 W. Smithville Western Road, died Saturday afternoon, July 31, 1999, at her home, after a lingering illness.
Services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Chester Mennonite Church with Pastors Willis Horst, James Ramer and Paul Zimmerman officiating. Burial will be at Chester Mennonite Cemetery.
Friends may call today (Tuesday) from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. at the Church Fellowship Hall and one hour prior to the time of service at the church on Wednesday.
Arrangements are being handled by McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home.
Surviving are her husband Elam Weaver, whom she married Oct. 22, 1933; children and their spouses, Edith and Lloyd Koppes of Shelby, Elmer and Bertha Weaver of Dalton, Naomi and Junior Richard, Harvey and Mabel Weaver, Roy and Doris Weaver and Virgil and Janet Weaver, all of Wooster, Melvin and Ruth Weaver of Reinholds, Pa., Elam and Ella Mae Weaver of Shippensburg, Pa. and Lydia Ann and Dana Good of West Salem; 49 grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren and 185 great-grandchildren.

Jodi Gleisner
TACOMA, Wash. -- Jodi Lynn Gleisner, 20, of Tacoma, Wash. and formerly of Homerville, died Friday, July 30, 1999, at her home in Tacoma, Wash.
Services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Stephens Church, 44 Britton St., West Salem with the Rev. Carl Uhler and Joe Konen officiating. Burial will be at Maple Hill Cemetery in Homerville.
Friends may call Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Parker & Son Funeral Home in Lodi.
