Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster, with the Rev. Eli Troyer officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Friends may call Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home. Those who wish may make contributions to American Heart Association, Wayne County Branch, P.O. Box 267, Wooster 44691. Surviving are children and their spouses, Robert G. and Deborah K. Zimmerly and Roger L. and Amy J. (Raff) Zimmerly, all of Wooster, Debra I. and William R. Hazel Hoyman
MILLERSBURG -- Hazel Hoyman, 93, of Millersburg, died Sunday evening, Jan. 3, 1999, at Walnut Hills Nursing Home in Walnut Creek, after a short illness. Graveside services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery in Millersburg, with the Rev. Steven Ritter officiating. There will be no calling hours. Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, is handling arrangements. Surviving are a stepdaughter, Geneva Hoyman of Bay Village; stepgrandchildren, Mrs. Keith (Gay) Snyder and Mike Glasgo, both of Big Prairie and Mark Glasgo of Wooster; and a sister, Florence E. Chapman of Coshocton.

Carol Payne
CAPE CORAL, Fla. -- Carol J. Payne, 50, of Cape Coral, Fla., died Friday, Dec. 4, from injuries sustained in an auto accident. Memorial services were held Wednesday, Dec. 9, in Cape Coral, Fla. Memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. Koman Breast Cancer Foundation, P.O. Box 97100, Dallas, Texas. Surviving are her husband, D. Paul Payne; sons, Timothy (Diane) Payne of Frisco, Texas, and Jared Payne of Cape Coral, Fla.; two grandchildren; her mother of Wooster; brothers, Bill and Ron Boyes, both of Wooster, Dean Boyes of Blytheville, Ark., and Ed Boyes of California; and sisters, Martha Sayre of Blytheville, Ark., Edna Bell and Lois Drzal, both of Clearwater, Fla.

Trilby Johnson
SHELBY -- Trilby A. Johnson, 77, formerly of 296 S. Gamble St., Shelby, and a resident of Outlook Point in Mansfield, died early Monday, Jan. 4, 1999, at Med Central Shelby Hospital. Services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Auble Funeral Home in Orrville, with the Rev. Jeff Matthews officiating. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville. Friends may call one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, 226 State Route 61 East, Norwalk 44857. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Bonnie Johnson and a daughter and son-in-law, Jackie and Roger Bauer, all of Shelby; grandchildren and spouses, Jeff and Abby Payne, John, Jason and Jeremy Payne, Robin and Michelle Johnson, Robert Johnson II, Bradley Johnson and Amanda Johnson; great-grandchildren, Darien and Kaylee Payne; and a brother, Dennis Byall of Orrville.

Robert Payne
ORRVILLE -- Robert L. Payne, 53, 12996 Burton City Road, died Monday, Jan. 4, at his home, after an apparent heart attack. Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at True Church House of Prayer in Orrville, with Elder Ernest Powell officiating. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville. Friends may call one hour prior to the services at the church. Arrangements are being handled by Auble Funeral Home in Orrville. Surviving are his wife, Arlene (Robinson) Ray Payne, whom he married Sept. 4, 1993 in Orrville; children, Darrell L. and Robert L. Payne, both of Detroit, and Gwendolyn L. Payne of Jackson, Miss.; stepchildren, Frederick E. (Ornetta) Ray of Fresno, Calif., Shawn (Kim) Ray of Atlanta, and Sonia L. (Eric) Mundy of Charlotte, N.C.; five grandchildren; his mother of Detroit; brothers, William F. (Sarah) Payne of Southfield, Mich., and Eddie L. Payne of Detroit; and a sister, Doris A. Woody of Detroit.

Nancy Shank
SHREVE -- Nancy P. Shank, 82, 172 S. Wells St., died Monday, Jan. 4, at her residence. Services will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Johnston-Schlabach Funeral Home in Shreve, with the Rev. Bob Kuntz officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home, where Eastern Star services will be held at 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Capture the Vision Campaign Fund of the Shreve United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 525, Shreve 44676. Surviving are a brother, James (Janet) Austen of Leesburg; sisters, Gail Snyder of Wooster and Doris Whitemyer of Cincinnati; and several nieces and nephews.

Dorothy Spurlock
SMITHVILLE -- Dorothy I. Spurlock, 61, 189 Fairlawn St., Smithville, died Monday, Jan. 4, 1999, at Wooster Community Hospital. Services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Orrville Church of Christ, with the Rev. David Daum officiating. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery, Shreve. Friends may call tonight (Tuesday) from 6-9 at the church. Arrangements are being handled by Johnston-Schlabach Funeral Home in Shreve. The family suggests contributions be made to Future Development Fund of Orrville Church of Christ, 925 N. Elm St., Orrville 44667. Surviving in addition to her husband are children, Kathy (Michael) Miros of Westerville, James G. (Holly R.) Spurlock of Sterling and Chad M. Spurlock of Orrville; grandchildren, Aaron, Ashley, Austen and Annika Spurlock; her mother of Shreve; brothers, Lemoyne (Shirley) Armstrong, Gerald (Mary Lynn) Armstrong and Richard (Cindy) Armstrong, all of Wooster; and a sister, Donna (Robert) Wachtel of Rittman.

Robbie Drennan
WOOSTER -- Robbie L. Drennan, 76, 1615 Cleveland Road, Wooster, formerly of Webster, N.Y., died Monday, Jan. 4, at Brenn-Field Nursing Home in Orrville. Entombment will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Riverside Cemetery in Rochester, N.Y., with memorial services to follow at 11 a.m. at Webster United Church of Christ in New York. The Rev. Thomas J. Ott will officiate. Local calling hours will be Thursday from 7-9 p.m. at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster. Those who wish may make contributions to Webster United Church of Christ, 570 Klem Road, Webster, N.Y. 14580. Surviving are children, Shelley Peterson of Wooster and Don Drennan of Columbus; two grandchildren; and a brother, Jack Lindsey of Atlanta.

WOOSTER -- Beverly M. Braun, 58, 1811 Saddlebrook Circle, died Saturday, Jan. 2, at Wooster Community Hospital. Service of Christian burial was held this morning (Tuesday) at 10 at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster. Father John Mueller officiated. Burial was at St. Mary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Wayne County Branch, in care of Wooster Clinic, 1740 Cleveland Road, Wooster 44691. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, William R. and Cynthia Braun of Okemos, Mich.; a granddaughter, Nicole Cynthia Braun; a sister, Bobbie Jayne (Wade) Miller of Millersburg; and a brother, William L. Smith of Minot, N.D.

Mary Kurtz
OKEECHOBEE, Fla. -- Mary Audet Kurtz, 77, of Okeechobee, Fla., and Orrville, died Thursday, Dec. 31, from heart disease. Private services will be held. Surviving are children, Thomas and James Rice, both of Portola Valley, Calif; three grandchildren; and sisters, Irene Miller of Wooster, Ann Wenger and Janet Burkholder, both of Orrville and Pauline Siemens of Redding, Calif.

Dorothy Rickel
ELYRIA -- Dorothy E. (Landes) Rickel, 84, of Elyria, formerly of Wayne County, died Sunday, Jan. 3, at EMH Regional Medical Center in Elyria, after a short illness. Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Bauer-Laubenthal Funeral Home at Chestnut Ridge Road and Ohio 57 in Elyria, with the Rev. Art Long officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Wooster. Friends may call Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Washington Avenue Christian Church, 301 Washington Ave., Elyria 44035. Surviving are her husband of 64 years, Harold Rickel; daughters, Carol C. Scrivens of Elyria and Janet Y. Myers of Elk Rapids, Mich.; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and a sister, Kathryn Rock of Orrville.

Robert Fisher
LOUDONVILLE -- Robert J. Fisher, 80, 2673 Township Road 327, died Tuesday evening, Dec. 29, at Colonial Manor Health Care Center in Loudonville. Memorial services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Loudonville, with Larry Jarka officiating. There will be no calling hours. Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville is handling arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Loudonville; or to Loudonville Fire Department & Rescue Squad. Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter and son-in-law, Avis and Gail Schaffer of Loudonville; two grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Walter Fisher of Ann Arbor, Mich.

John Schuler
MILLERSBURG -- John Wilson Schuler, former Holmes County judge, died the morning of Dec. 31, 1998, after an extended illness. The funeral will be Saturday, Jan. 9, 1999, at 11 a.m. at Millersburg United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Dr. Karl Stonebraker officiating. Calling hours will be Friday, Jan, 8, 1999, from 5-8 p.m. at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, or one hour prior to the services at the church. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Millersburg. He is survived by his wife, Geneva (Elliott) Schuler; a daughter, Gretchen S. Kaylor and husband, Ed of Charleston, S.C., and a son, Gregory C. Schuler and wife, Dana of Cincinnati; grandchildren, Adam and Alexis Kaylor and Jonathan, Grace and Genevieve Schuler; a sister, Janet Burkholder of Ogden, Utah; and brothers, Judson Schuler of Millersburg and James Schuler of Columbus. Martha Young
WOOSTER -- Martha E. Young, 90, 4110 E. Smithville-Western Road, Wooster, died Sunday evening, Jan. 3, at Smithville-Western Care Center, where she had resided for the past three years. There will be no services or calling hours. Burial of the cremains will be at Wooster Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by Custer Funeral Home, Wooster. There are no immediate survivors.

Marguerite Dyser
DUNCAN FALLS -- Marguerite E. Dyser, 78, 366 Mill St., died Monday afternoon, Jan. 4, at the home of her son in Layland. She was the mother of Daniel (Jo) Muse of Millersburg. Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Thompson-Farus Funeral Home, 383 Main St., Duncan Falls, with the Rev. Jennifer Johnston-Baker officiating. Burial will be at Duncan Falls Cemetery. Friends may call tonight (Wednesday) from 6-9 at the funeral home. Surviving in addition to her son, are another son, William Muse of Layland; stepchildren, Karen (Richard) Storozuk of Northfield, Carol Dyser of Zanesville and Joe Dyser of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; and a grandson. Her husbands, Robert Muse and Luke Dyser and a brother, Ralph McHenry, died previously.

William Glass
HAYESVILLE -- William Curtis Glass, 66, 25 Water St., died Monday, Jan. 4, 1999, at Samaritan Hospital in Ashland. Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville, with the Rev. Gary L. Pollock officiating. Burial will be at Vermillion Cemetery in Hayesville, where military rites will be conducted by Jeromesville American Legion and Hayesville Amvets. Friends may call Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home, where a special firefighters service will be held at 9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Hayesville-Vermilion Fire Department & Rescue Squad. He was born July 15, 1932 in Ashland to Myron C. and Lois (Riley) Glass and married Doris Lange on Sept. 18, 1954. She survives. Surviving in addition to his wife are sons, Steve (Terri) Glass and Joel Glass, both of Ashland, James Glass of Concord, N.H., Robert Curtis Glass of Cuyahoga Falls and Jon (Susan) Glass of Big Prairie; and grandchildren, Amy, Stephanie, Laurie, James Glass Jr., Justin, Jeremy Curtis Glass, Jarod, Kyle, Garrett, Brandon and Mariah.

Cecilia Miletto
WOOSTER -- Cecilia E. Miletto, 76, 730 Palmer St., died Tuesday, Jan. 5, 1999, at the home of her son in Wooster. Mass of Christian Burial service will be Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Wooster, with Father John Mueller officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster. Those who wish may make contributions to Hospice of Wayne County, 2525-A Back Orrville Road, Wooster 44691. She was born Feb. 6, 1922 in Wooster to Antonio and Costodia (Batista) Yacapraro and married Carl Miletto Sr. on July 22, 1944. He survives. Surviving in addition to her husband are sons, Carl Miletto Jr. of Ashland and Anthony P. (Joann) Miletto of Wooster; grandchildren, Jera Grissinger, Jamie Burton, Nicole Kerr, Denin and Danielle Miletto; a brother, Nick Yacapraro and a sister, Mary Fockler, both of Wooster.

Doris Lockhart
CANAL FULTON -- Doris M. Lockhart, 79, of Canal Fulton, formerly of West Salem, died Monday, Jan. 4, at Massillon Community Hospital. Graveside services were held today (Wednesday) at Ashland Memorial Park. The Rev. Clyde Ondrizek officiated. Arrangements were handled by Matteson Funeral Home in West Salem. Surviving are sisters, Kathryn Herman of Akron, Susan Varrecchia of Clinton and Millie Vanik of New Mexico.

Emma Blosser
APPLE CREEK -- Emma Blosser, 100, of Apple Creek, died Monday, Jan. 4, at Smithville-Western Care Center, Wooster, after a brief illness. Services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton, with the Rev. Jacqueline McMillen officiating. Burial will be at Westlawn Cemetery in Mount Eaton. Friends may call one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul United Church of Christ, P.O. Box 196, Mount Eaton 44659. She was born April 30, 1898 near Mount Eaton to Jacob and Mary (Antener) Bomeli and married Dayton L. Blosser on June 28, 1928. He died Jan. 19, 1986. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Clinton (Ruth) Masters of Apple Creek; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a brother, Walter Bomeli of Ashland.
