Billy H. Rose
DAVIS -- Graveside rites for Billy H. Rose will be at 2 p.m. today at Green Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Finis Steelman officiating.
Rose died Oct. 20, 1998, in the Sulphur hospital. She was born Dec. 16, 1944, at Davis, to John B. and Lon O. Smith Rose.
He had lived in Davis most of his life and had been employed by George Johnson Construction Co. He and Sheila Myers were married Oct. 3, 1964, in Ardmore.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; a daughter, Trina Johnson, Tecumseh; two sons, Hugh and Kevin, Davis; a sister, Phyllis Whisenhunt, Merkel, Texas; brother, Neal, Davis; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brothers, Frank, Jim and Joe.
Fox Funeral Home will direct services.

Martha S. Lutke
MOORE -- Services for Martha Sue Lutke were Saturday at Ireland Funeral Home, Moore. Interment was at Rosebud Cemetery in Marlow.
Mrs. Lutke died Oct. 14, 1998. She was born Aug. 14, 1932, at Marlow, to Delmer and Gay Lutke.
She was employed by OPUBCO and retired from the Juvenile Division of the State of Oklahoma.
Survivors include daughters, Sandra Beam, Lone Grove, and Allison Spivey, Moore; her mother, Gay Ritter, Oklahoma City; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Oklahoma County.

Gladys Miller
HEALDTON -- Services for Gladys Muriel Miller, 91, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Phillip Fox officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Ardmore.
Mrs. Miller died Oct. 21, 1998, in the local hospital. She was born to Doc L. and Adeline V. Mapp Howard on Oct. 12, 1907, at Marietta.
She moved to Healdton as a child and married Matthew E. "Blondy" Miller here Jan. 11, 1926. They lived in the oil camps in Pruitt City, Fox, Clemscott and Healdton, then to Ardmore in 1958. Her husband died Nov. 12, 1964 and she returned to Healdton in 1995. She was employed as a cashier by the Bank of Healdton for 20 years and later was a personal secretary to Earl Q. and Roger Gray in Ardmore. She served with the Red Cross during World War II, taught Sunday school at Ardmore First Baptist Church and was a founding member of the Business and Professional Women in Healdton. She was involved with Carter County Republican Women in Ardmore and had been a member of Eastern Star more than 50 years.
She is survived by a son, Robert "Bob," Healdton; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.
Bearers will be Jason Darling, Bryan and Matt Miller, Daniel and Allen Karns.
Reser Funeral Home will direct services.

Allita J. Jones
LONE GROVE -- Services for Allita J. Jones, 88, Meeker, formerly of Wilson and Lone Grove, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Lone Grove Church of Christ with Alan Buck and John Lewis officiating. Interment will be at Bomar Point Cemetery, Wilson.
Mrs. Jones died Oct. 21, 1998, at her residence. She was born Feb. 15, 1910, at Reck, to James T. and Sarah E. J. Miles Bagby.
Reared at Reck, she graduated from Zaneis High School and married Tommie B. Jones March 17, 1931, at Reck. She had been a resident of Wilson most of her life, employed by Mettry's Dry Good Store for many years. They moved to Lone Grove in 1990 and her husband died June 6, 1992. She moved to Meeker in 1997. She was a member of Northridge Church of Christ.
She is survived by a son, Tommy R., Meeker; four grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Maggie Bradburn and Sallie Williamson.
Bearers will be Joseph Buck, Donny Fulton, Ed Stewart, Doug Epley, Sammy Stearns and Evan Smith.
Alexander Funeral Home, Wilson, will direct services.

Edna A. Rowlett
SULPHUR -- Services for Edna A. Rowlett, 91, Davis, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Assembly of God Church with Frank Duncan officiating. Interment will be at Jones Cemetery under the direction of Cowley-Krien Funeral Home.
Mrs. Rowlett died Oct. 21, 1998, in a local health care facility. She was born Aug. 16, 1907, at Jones, to Samuel Ensley and Annebelle Wilson. Reared at Jones, she moved to Oklahoma City, to Wynnewood, then to Davis. She married H.A. Rowlett in 1973, in Oklahoma City. She and her husband owned the pharmacy in Davis. After she retired as a pharmacist, she moved to Arizona then returned to Davis. She was a member of Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include a stepdaughter, Betty Bell, Lake Haversaw, Ariz.; and stepgranddaughter.
Bearers will be Willard Harold, Bill Tomlinson and Royce Dale Jones.

Elli Mayer
DALLAS -- Memorial services for former Ardmore resident Elli Mayer will be at 2 p.m. today at Lefkowitz Chapel of Temple Emanu-El, Dallas.
Mrs. Mayer died Oct. 21, 1998, after an extended illness. She was born in Worms, Germany, in 1912 to Paul and Kathy Daube Mayer.
She lived in Holland and Ardmore before moving to Dallas in 1949. She was an actress, appearing in theater productions, radio and the television series "Dallas."
Survivors include her husband, Robert; and daughter, Mary Ann Redmond.
Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home will direct services.

Oma Ruth Norman
FOX-- Services for Oma Ruth Norman, Pruitt City, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Fox School Auditorium with the Revs. Dwight Hawkins and Hershel Baker officiating. Interment will be at Graham Cemetery.
Oma was born to Mary Pearl and Joseph Jackson March 9, 1931, at Fox. She died Oct. 23, 1998, at Pruitt City.
Reared by Pearl and Emery Hall, she married Roy "Curly" Norman Sept. 4, 1954. Oma and Roy owned and operated a coffee shop and service station in Pruitt City in the 1970s. She was a rural contract mail carrier out of Healdton, retiring after 13 years. She had lived in the Fox area all her life. She was dearly loved by family and friends.
Survivors include her husband, Roy, of the home; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Marcelle and Oscar Hayward, and Chot Ezzell, all of Pruitt City; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather, Emery Hall; two brothers, Jesse Dean and J.E. Jackson; and three sisters, Maudine Smart, Evelyn Harris and Loretta Blevins.
Bearers will be Kerry Blankenship, Danny Kilcrease, Ray Smart, Roger, Randy and Robert Butler.
Memorials may be made to Cross Timbers Hospice, 1514 Meadow Lane, Ardmore, OK 73401.
Milburn Funeral Home, Ratliff City, will direct services.

Bertha Lea Calhoun
FOX -- Services for Bertha Lea Calhoun, Davis, were Saturday at Fox Funeral Home Chapel with Rick Phillips officiating. Interment will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Mountain View Cemetery, Mesa, Ariz.
Born July 15, 1908, at Oklahoma to Charles Abraham and Minnie May Hightower Hudgins, she died Oct. 23, 1998, at a Sulphur hospital. She married Virgil Calhoun on July 15, 1928, at Mountain View. He preceded her in death in 1979. She was also preceded in death by a son, Leon Calhoun; and a grandson, Clay Hobbs.
Mrs. Calhoun was of the Southern Baptist faith. She had owned a restaurant.
Survivors include one daughter, Loretta Hobbs, Hennepin; one son, Gene Calhoun, Cabot, Ark.; one brother, Leroy Hudgins, Guthrie; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Bridget Lyn Fincher
MARIETTA -- Services for Bridget Lyn Fincher, infant daughter of Billy Bond and Brandy Fincher, Thackerville, will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Eastside Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Gardner officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Zion Cemetery, Thackerville.
Born Sept. 29, 1998 at Ardmore, she died Oct. 24, 1998 at an Oklahoma City hospital.
Survivors include her parents, both Thackerville, grandparents, Doug and Sharon Roof, Azie, Texas, Joe and Lou Fincher, Overbrook, Dennis and Vicky Lopez, Thackerville, and Harold and Connie Bond, Rockport, Texas; and great-grandmother, Onetta Fincher, Loves Valley.
Bearers are Jody Fincher and E.J. Daughty.
Services are under the direction of Kennedy Funeral Home.

Alma Faye Stevens
MARIETTA -- Services for Alma Faye Stevens, 72, will be 2 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Tommy Higle officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery.
Born Feb. 22, 1926 at Leon to Mason and Lillie Mae King Westmoreland, she died Oct. 23, 1998 at an Ardmore hospital. She married W.T. Stevens on Sept. 21, 1946 at Gainesville, Texas. He preceded her in death on June 30, 1991. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Rowena Westmoreland and five brothers. Leonard, Cecil, Dutch, Burris and Kenneth Westmoreland.
Ms. Stevens lived all of her life in Love County. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Marietta. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and family outings such as picnics.
Survivors include one son, Dr. Ronald Stevens, Denton, Texas; one daughter, Katheryn Faulkenberry, Norman; brother and sisters-in-law, Bobby Mason and Carolyn Westmoreland, Ardmore, and Lou Ellen Westmoreland, Marietta; three grandchildren, Steven Faulkenberry, Michael Faulkenberry and Suzanne Faulkenberry; and several nieces and nephews.
Bearers are Jim Greenwood, Gerry Westmoreland, Kenneth Westmoreland, Jackie Barnes, Junior Westmoreland and Raymond Pratt. Honorary bearers are Dr. J. T. O'Connor Jr., Dr. Vergil Smith, Winsome Sunday School Class and Catherine Fannin.
Services are under the direction of Kennedy Funeral Home.

Mary Elizabeth Taylor
WILSON -- Services for Mary Elizabeth Taylor, 98, Ringling, will be 2 p.m. today at Alexander Funeral Home Chapel with Roy Hannah officiating. Interment will follow at Orr Cemetery.
Born April 19, 1900, near Leon, Indian Territory, to James and Georgia Ann Shelton Burton, she died Oct. 23, 1998, at Ringling. She married Arthur Taylor on Aug. 26, 1918, at Orr. He preceded her in death in 1965. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Bill, R.A., Emit and Matt Burton.
Her early childhood was spent near Leon where she was born. She and her husband resided at Orr until 1921, when they moved to their farm south of Wilson. She moved to Ringling in 1970.
Mrs. Taylor accept Christ as her Savior in 1930 and was a member of the Church of Christ. Her devotion and dedication as a wife, mother and grandmother never wavered during the long life God gave to her, and the cherished memories she loved to share with her family and friends are reminders of the longevity of her live.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy and L.B. Southward, Zaneis; one grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Lindsay and Jerrye Southward, Zaneis; two great-grandchildren, Kent Southward, Zaneis, and Michelle Scott, Ada; and three precious great-grandchildren, Megan, Jordan and Jessica Scott, Ada.
These little ones gave their "Grannie Ben" much pleasure and happiness in the waning years of her life.
Bearers are Lindsay Southward, Kent Southward, Jimmy White and Lyndell Autrey.

Gladys Dyess Towles
ANDREWS, Texas -- Services for Gladys Dyess Towles, 93, will be 10 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church Chapel with Dr. H.A. Hanks and the Rev. Phillip Golden officiating. Interment will follow at Andrews Old Cemetery.
Born Dec. 26, 1904, at Mineola, Texas, she died Oct. 22, 1998, at a Hobbs, N.M., hospital. She married William N. Towles on Nov. 18, 1925, at Ringling. He preceded her in death on Feb. 16, 1986.
Mrs. Towles moved to Andrews from Fox in 1961. She was a homemaker and member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Winell Smith, Hobbs, and Sharon Jackson, Woodward; one son, Billy G. Towles, Tucson; one brother, Sam H. Dyess, Andrews; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, c/o Gladys Towles, 201 NE 2nd St., Andrews, TX 79714.
Services are under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.

Amy Lynn Gatewood
Graveside rites for Amy Gatewood, 22, Franklin, Tenn. will be 2 p.m. Monday at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery with Dr. Douglas R. Miller officiating.
Born Aug. 24, 1976 at Columbus, Ga., she died Oct. 20, 1998 near Franklin from injuries sustained in an auto accident.
She was a cosmetologist for the Rodeo Drive Salon and graduated from the John Narve Beauty Academy at Columbus in 1998. Miss Gatewood had lived in Franklin for the past two years, moving from Ardmore. She had attended Plainview High School.
Survivors include her father and step-mother, Fred and Linda Gatewood, Franklin; mother and step-father, Melba and Bill Mauldin, Ardmore; one brother, Baron Gatewood, Lavergne, Tenn.; sisters, Gayla Bink, Tucson, Ariz., Aja Mauldin, Ardmore, and Shelley Young, Oklahoma City; grandparents, Dot Williamson, Gulfport, Miss., Charles Gatewood, Collins, Miss., and W.A. and Peggy Mauldin, Ardmore; great-grandmother, Nora Merrill, Gans, Okla.
Services are under the direction of Griffin-Kennedy-Watts Funeral Home.
