Calvin J. Russell
RUBOTTOM -- Services for Calvin J. Russell, 77, Dover, will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Rubottom Baptist Church with Barry Farnsworth officiating. Interment will be at Leon Cemetery, Leon.
Russell died Feb. 3, 1999, in the Kingfisher hospital. He was born June 16, 1921, at Rubottom, to John and Prillah Black Russell.
Married to Lola May Thompson April 20, 1946, in Oklahoma City, he moved to Dover from Oklahoma City where he had lived 35 years. He served eight years in the Army in World War II and later served in Vietnam with the Air Force. He was an aircraft mechanic, a member of Rubottom Baptist Church and VFW. He was preceded in death by his wife April 26, 1997; a brother, Willie, in 1998; and two sisters, Lorena Auld, July 3, 1990, and Gertie Davis.
Survivors include a daughter, Sue Cast, Bethel, Alaska; brother, Bob, Dover; a granddaughter; and three great-grandchildren.
Nephews will serve as bearers.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 tonight at Kennedy Funeral Home, Marietta.

Wilma L. Wood
CRINERVILLE -- Graveside services for Wilma Lois Wood, 77, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Crinerville Cemetery with the Rev. Don Waters officiating.
Mrs. Wood died Feb. 4, 1999, in an Oklahoma City hospital. She was born to William and Eva Roberts Scott Dec. 9, 1921, in Ardmore.
She married Clarence William Sept. 13, 1934, in Ardmore, and owned and operated Green Thumb Nursery, She was a member of the Church of God. She was preceded in death by her husband; and a son, W.C.
Survivors include two sons, Don, Ardmore, and Robert, Houston; two brothers, Billy J. Scott, Etwanda, Calif., and Neal Scott, Ennis; eight grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home will direct services.

Irene Smith
Services for Irene Smith, 75, will be 2 p.m. Friday at Griffin-Kennedy-Watts Chapel with Dr. Alton Fannin officiating. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mrs. Smith was born March 9, 1923, at Santa Rosa, Calif., to Michael and Paridise Lombos. She died Feb. 3, 1999 at her residence.
She moved from Chickasha to Ardmore in 1964 and was a nurses aid at Ardmore Adventist Hospital 27 years before she retired. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Sarah R. Emde, Ardmore; and a brother, Dan Lombos, Sacramento, Calif.
Bearers will be John DeHart, Lynn Worthen, Fred Hodges, Pat Telford, Joe Brown, Hoyle Holt and Bob Gray.

Eric B. Auld
RINGLING -- Graveside services for Eric Bradley Auld, infant son of Brent and Christie Auld, will be at 2 p.m. today at Ringling Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. John Harris officiating.
The baby was born and died Feb. 2, 1999 in Wichita Falls, Texas.
In addition to his parents, survivors include a brother, Aaron Allen, of the home; his grandparents, Jack and Waunda Meyerhoeffer, Hastings, Neb., and Eddie and Scotta Auld, Healdton; and great-grandparents, Evelyn Christiansen, Hastings, and Allen and Ola Taylor, Ardmore.
Reser Funeral Home will direct services.

Warren P. Colley
SULPHUR -- Graveside rites for Warren P. Colley, 95, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Oaklawn Cemetery with Dr. Vernon Lawrence officiating.
Colley died Feb. 3, 1999 in Pauls Valley. He was born Feb. 20, 1903, at Maysville, to John H. and Elizada Frizzell Colley.
Reared in Maysville, he graduated from East Central University and came to Sulphur in 1925. He served as principal of Washington School and worked for Farmers National Bank and for Danner-Colley Funeral Home. He retired from the Oklahoma School for the Deaf as assistant business manager. He also served as mayor of Sulphur. He and Flossie Reed were married Jan. 30, 1925, at Sulphur. She preceded him in death Feb. 24, 1977.
He is survived by a sister, Prudye Randolph, Paoli. He was also preceded by sisters, Frieda Lister and Nonnie Cowan; brothers, Erwin and E.J.; and adopted brother, Oman Ledgerwood.
Clagg Funeral Home will direct services.

Rachel M. Dennis
TISHOMINGO -- Services for Rachel M. Dennis, Wapanucka, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Clark Funeral Home chapel with Tandy Troutman officiating. Interment will be at Rosehill Cemetery, Wapanucka.
Mrs. Dennis died Feb. 3, 1999 in Tishomingo. She was born Jan. 13, 1902, in Wewoka Indian Territory.
She married Dewey Dennis Feb. 1, 1918, at Wapanucka. A lifelong resident of this area, she moved to Hillcrest Care Center in Tishomingo in 1981, and was a member of Wapanucka Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dewey Dennis; a son, J.D. "Jack" Dennis; and grandson, Casey.
Survivors include a daughter, Lala Hatcher of Elk City; a son and daughter-in-law, Dwain and Barbara Dennis of Coleman; a daughter-in-law, Lorene Dennis of Garland, Texas; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Bearers will be Scotty Dennis, Larry Dennis, David Whitmire, Kirk Hughes and Steve Harris.

Rev. Johnny S. Goeders
SULPHUR -- Services for Rev. Johnny S. Goeders, 70, Oklahoma City, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. James Swain officiating. Interment will be at Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Clagg Funeral Home.
Goeders died Feb. 2, 1999 in Oklahoma City where he was born June 30, 1928, to Frank F. and Nora C. "Ferrell" Goeders.
A lifetime resident of Oklahoma City, he graduated from Central State University and taught at Carver Center and Bell Isle Schools. He was an ordained minister and had been a Boy Scout leader over 20 years. He married Roberta Bolling April 17, 1954, at Spencer.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; daughters, Pamela Ward and Beverly Goeders, Sulphur; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter Robbin Joy Goeders.

Robert West
Services for Robert West, 84, will be at 2 p.m. today at Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home chapel with Charlie Tanner officiating. Interment will follow at Lone Grove Cemetery.
Born to Bodge and Josephine Franklin West at Hewitt, he died Feb. 1, 1999, in the local hospital.
A lifetime resident of the Ardmore area, he was a Baptist and self-employed carpenter and house leveler. He and Maebelle Ratliff were married Nov. 18, 1938, in Ardmore. He was preceded in death by his wife on Aug. 9, 1989; three brothers; a sister; and a grandchild.
Survivors include daughters, Betty Byrne, Ardmore, and Edna Jackson, Coffeyville, Kan.; a son, Robert W., of the home; brothers, Leon, Lone Grove, and Tim, Ardmore; sisters, Reda Fisher and Betty Shelton, Ardmore; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Billie Crow, of the home.
Bearers will be nephews and friends.

Leota Cornish
Graveside rites for Leota Cornish, 87, Childress, Texas, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Ardmore.
Born July 15, 1911, at Mill Creek, Mrs. Cornish died Feb. 3, 1999, in Childress, Texas.
She moved to Healdton in 1935 as a teacher and married W.L. "Bill" Cornish. She had been a member of First Methodist Church 63 years. She was preceded in death by her husband; three sisters, Mrs. Joe Croom, Mrs. Novella Doggett and Evelyn McKinney; and two brothers, Wayte and Cecil McKinney.
She is survived by a nephew, Charles Buckholtz, Childress.
Johnson Funeral Home will direct services.

Stephan J. Franklin
Services for Stephan Jerome Franklin will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the East Main Church of Christ with Samuel Jackson officiating. Interment will be at Clearview Cemetery under the direction of Ragsdale-Grant and Sons Mortuary.
Franklin died Jan. 31, 1999 in Ardmore where he was born Dec. 26, 1964, to Johnnie Mae Foreman and Tommy Louis Jr.
He graduated from Ardmore High School in 1983 and was a mechanic.
Survivors include a son, Eric Jackson, Ardmore; daughter, Jakkii Jackson, Oklahoma City; sisters, Degayla Carter, Ardmore, and Ovia Foreman, Glendale, Ariz.; brothers, Curtis Berryman and Tovosky Otero, also of Glendale; stepsister, Mary Louis; and stepbrother, Tommy Louis II, both of Seattle, Wash.; and grandmother, Mamie Franklin, Ardmore.

Reuben W. Shelley
DAVIS -- Services for Reuben Walter Shelley, 68, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Cowley-Krien Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Finis Steelman officiating. Interment will be at Green Hill Cemetery.
Shelley died Feb. 2, 1999 in an Oklahoma City hospital. He was born April 19, 1930, at Quinter, Kan., to Reuben A. and Blanche Benson Shelley.
Reared in Grinell, Kan., he worked in high line construction in New Mexico, Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma and Nebraska. He moved to Davis from Coffeyville, Kan. in 1982 and worked for Halliburton until he retired in 1986. He and Wilma Jean Conover were married July 5, 1953, in Las Animas, Co.
Survivors include two daughters, Melanie Hinthorn, Ardmore, and Kimberlea Mansfield, South Coffeyville; two sons, Randall Shelley, Davis, and Robert Spenser, Aztec, N.M.; two sisters, Ina Cantwell, Duncan, and Jean Hafenstine, Wa Keeney, Kan.
Bearers will be David Cantwell, Robert Spenser, Homer Tefertiller, Don Mansfield, Dale Hinthorn and Bud Sutton. Honorary bearers are Henry Lanoy, Don, Royce and Dick Jones.

Ellen 'Polly' Pauline Thompson
WILSON -- Services for Ellen ³Polly² Pauline Thompson, 68, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Leon Veazey officiating. Interment will be at Hewitt Cemetery under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home.
Mrs. Thompson died Feb. 2, 1999 in Wilson. She was born Feb. 2, 1931, at Goodrich, Texas, to C.J. and Evie L. ³Locke² Stokes.
Reared in Goodrich, she was a waitress and cook for over 50 years, mostly in Corpus Christi, Texas, where she had lived 36 years. She moved to Wilson in 1996. She received an honorary charter membership in the Tuloso-Midway High School F.F.A. in 1986 for her dedication to children. She was preceded in death by three husbands, Carl Thomas, John Buckner and Russell Thompson.
Survivors include a daughter, Jan Barbour, Wilson; three sisters, Louise Moore, San Benito, Texas, Geraldine James, Rosharon, Texas, and Barbara Buckner, Ingleside, Texas; a brother, J.C. Stokes, Pearland, Texas; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Grandsons will serve as bearers.

Robert West
Services for Robert West, 84, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home chapel with Charlie Tanner officiating. Interment will follow at Lone Grove Cemetery.

J.D. Burden
RINGLING -- Services for J.D. Burden, 82, will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Ringling Church of Christ with Bro. Roy Hannah officiating. Interment will be at Ringling Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home.
Burden died Feb. 1, 1999 in Ringling. He was born June 17, 1916, in Carter County, to John L. and Maude L. Cates Burden.
A lifelong resident of Love and Jefferson counties, he attended school at Zaneis and graduated from Ringling High School in 1935. He attended Murray State College, Tishomingo, on a football scholarship, and served in the Philippines with the Army during World War II. He was then inducted into the Merchant Marines. He married Victoria W. Ryan Sept. 8, 1939, at El Reno, and in 1949, they moved to Orr where he was employed by Lone Star Gas Co. several years. For the longest period of his life he farmed and ranched at their homeplace in Orr. He had been a member of the Church of Christ since 1950.
Survivors include his wife, of 60 years, Victoria, of the home; two daughters, Barbara Wilson and her husband, Jack, of Ringling, and Elaine Dunn and her husband, Henson, of Azle, Texas; a son, John Larkin Burden of Ringling; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Bearers will be grandchildren. Honorary bearers are J.Q. Porter, Jimmy Eubanks, Gerald Baker, Don Howard, Jay Roundsville, Badger McBride, and all members of the Leon Church of Christ.
