J.D. Lamb
SULPHUR -- Services for J.D. Lamb, 73, Roff, were scheduled for 2 p.m. today at Clagg Funeral Home chapel with Don Ellis officiating. Interment was at Dolberg Cemetery.
Lamb died March 16, 1997, at Stratford. He was born July 26, 1923, at Hart, to Estel L. and Mary C. Williams Lamb.
A lifetime resident of this area, he was a farm worker and member of Roff Church of Christ.
Survivors include four brothers, Robert, California, Euel, Sam and David, Roff; four sisters, Hazel McBroom, Sulphur, Vera Phillips, Wynnewood, Betty Quinton and Glenda Pierce, Roff. He was preceded in death by five brothers, Lonzo, Raymond, Troy, Kenneth and Marland.
Family members will serve as bearers.

Myrtle B. Crook
KINGSTON -- Graveside rites for Myrtle Beatrice Crook, 81, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Kingston Cemetery with Ronald Clark officiating.
Mrs. Crook died March 17, 1997, in the Madill hospital. She was born July 9, 1915, at Isom Springs.
She was reared in Old Woodville, moved to New Woodville in 1945, then to Kingston in 1968. She and Alton "Buck" Crook were married March 3, 1934, at Old Woodville. She was a Baptist and member of Easter Star. She was preceded in death by her husband on Sept. 8, 1970; and a son, Danny, in 1990.
Survivors include two sons, Bobby, Oakland, and Delmas, McCloud; a daughter, Kay Monroe, Moore; a sister, Edith French, Kingston; half sister, Wanda Gandy, San Antonio, Texas; 15 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Bearers will be Charlie Johnson, Harvey Wilson, Walker Horn, R.J. Thomas, Jim Evans, Bob Snyder, Acie Pittman and DeWayne Northcutt.
Watts Funeral Home will direct services.

Gaylene Churchwell Donovan
OKLAHOMA CITY -- Services for Ardmore native Gaylene Churchwell Donovan, 62, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Eisenhour Southeast Chapel in Oklahoma City. Interment will be at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
Born Dec. 9 1934, in Ardmore, to James and Lavenna Lindsey Whitley, Mrs. Donovan died March 16, 1997.
She retired as a civil service employee from Tinker Air Force Base after 26 years of service.
Survivors include her husband, Lewis "Kim," of the home; a son, Bobby Churchwell; daughter, Marcia Yeary; stepson, Frank Donovan; and stepdaughter, Kathy Sparger, Oklahoma City; a brother, Herchell Whitley, Ardmore; and 10 grandchildren.

Darlene K. Germany
COLEMAN -- Funeral services for Darlene Kay Germany, 19, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Coleman gym. Interment will follow at the Coleman Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, Tishomingo.
Born to Ronald and Karen Germany on Dec. 4, 1977, at Durant, Miss Germany died March 17, 1997.
Darlene was an honor graduate of Coleman High School. She was attending East Central University in Ada, Okla., where she was also an honor student. She was a blessing to everyone who ever met her. Darlene played the piano at the Baptist Church in Coleman. She was a devoted and loving daughter, being blessed to have lived her life among many wonderful friends and family.
She is survived by her parents, Ronald and Karen Germany; a brother and his fiance, Brett Germany and Robin Smart; grandparents, B.F. and Bonnie Wallis; and her aunts and uncles, Sharon and Gerald Goodwill, David and Kathy Wallis, Ward and Julie Wallis, Curt and Arlene Berry, Kris and Patty Hall, Don and Pam Germany, and Jack and Marge Germany; and many cousins who will miss her bright smile and loving touch. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Charles and Pauline Germany.
Pallbearers will be Marlon Brown, Raydon Whitmire, Toby Horath, Mick Morgan, Joe Collins and Jared Pigg. Honorary bearers will be Tim Barron, T.J. White and Ronnie Walters.

Anna Wittich Pretty
Memorial service for former Ardmore resident Anna Wittich Pretty, 87, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Philip's Episcopal Church with Father Ernest C. Maddon officiating.
Mrs. Pretty died Dec. 20, 1996, in Charlotte, N.C.
A native of Quay, she was a retired reading specialist, graduating from Oklahoma A&M in 1929 and received her master's degree from Southeastern State College in 1969. She was a member of St. Philip's Episcopal Church.
Survivors include a son, George, Charlotte; a daughter, Charlotte Sedam, Warrenton, Va.; a sister, Elizabeth Stuart, Winter Park, Fla.; and six grandchildren. Her parents are the late Henry R. and Charlotte Smith Wittich.

Lee Roy Carr and LaVonna Mae Carr
CUSHING -- Services for Lee Roy "Nick" Carr and his wife, LaVonna Mae Carr. will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Big Creek Church of the Brethren in Cushing under the direction of Davis Funeral Home. Burial will be at Euchee Valley Memorial Park.
Mr. Carr, 72, died March 16, 1997, at his home. He was born May 14, 1924, at Park Hill, to Roy L. and Eleanor Dunn Carr.
Mrs. Carr, 66, died March 17, 1997, in the Stillwater hospital. She was born Aug. 4, 1930, in Yale, to George D. and Ina Atterberry DeLancy.
The couple was married March 1, 1948, at Coffeyville, Kan. and had lived in Cushing since that time. He was a retired heavy equipment operator.
They are survived by four children, Suzie Watson, Ardmore, Redena Holley, Stillwater, Randy Carr and Renita Offutt, Cushing; seven grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren. He is also survived by three brothers, Willis, Oklahoma City, Darrell and Marion, Cushing; and six sisters, Allegra Herring, Cushing, Marilyn Martle, Kansas City, Mo., Allene Redus, Shawnee, Clorene Thompson, Stillwater, Lorene Whitaker, Mannford, and Sandra Davidson, Checotah. She has a brother, Morris DeLancy, Barnsdall; and two sisters, Darlene Barnes, Carthage, Mo., and Lucille Kinnaird, Yale.
Memorials may be made to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation for Alzheimer's or Judith Karman Hospice, P.O. Box 818, Stillwater OK 74076.

Walter Baxter
MILBURN -- Graveside rites for Walter Baxter, 77, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Condon Grove Cemetery with the Rev. Jessie Cradduck officiating.
Baxter died March 18, 1997, in Oklahoma City. He was born in Eagletown to Tommy W. and Lea Franks Baxter.
He married Zora Mullins in 1942, in Oklahoma City, and worked as an auto mechanic.
Survivors include a daughter; stepdaughter, Zoetta Baxter; and stepson, Tom Baxter, both of Butcher Pen; a half brother, Loyd Mattingley, Ravia; eight grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, a half brother and three sisters.
Smith Funeral Home, Tishomingo, will direct services.

Inez Vinson
Services for Inez Vinson, 88, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Harvey-Douglas Chapel with the Rev. Monty Baggett officiating. Private burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Vinson died March 17, 1997, in the local hospital after an extended illness. She was born Sept. 9, 1908, at Wilson, to John and Minnie Dillard Moore.
She was a Baptist and nurses aid at the Ardmore hospital for many years. She and Leon J. Vinson were married at Sulphur. He preceded her in death on June 6, 1957.
She is survived by a daughter, Voncell Carker, Ardmore; a son, Larry J., De Soto, Texas; and three grandchildren.

Thomas W. Williams
Services for Thomas Willis Williams, 52, will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Ragsdale-Grant and Sons Mortuary chapel. The Rev. Carl Loftis will officiate. Interment will be at Clearview Cemetery.
Williams died March 14, 1997, in a local health care facility. He was born Oct. 12, 1944, in Ardmore, to Adeana and Ernest Williams.
He attended school at Dunbar, graduated from Douglass High School and was married to Claudine Smith. He retired from the Army in 1980.
Survivors include a daughter, Sherry Roberts; three sisters, Mattie Williams, of the home, Eunice Davis, Aurora, Colo., and Ernestine Wagoner, Roswell, N.M.; brothers, John M., Alberta, Canada, David, Arlington, Va., Deano Ray, of the home, and John, Colorado Springs, Colo.; and a grandson.

Alice B. Walker
SULPHUR -- Graveside rites for Alice B. Walker, 71, were conducted by family members at 10 a.m. today at Oaklawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Walker died March 18, 1997, in Sulphur. She was born May 28, 1925, at Waxahachie, Texas, to Hugh T. and Ica Lowry Woody.
She married Wade Jasper Walker on Feb. 6, 1967, and had lived in Sulphur the past 33 years. Her husband preceded her in death on Feb. 6, 1990.
She is survived by a daughter, Kathryn Kiser, Sulphur; two sons, Charles W., Sulphur, and Frank Kinney Effingham, Ill.; seven grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jo Marsha Garmon.
Clagg Funeral Home directed services.

Helen B. Smith
SULPHUR -- Services for Helen Bea Smith, Roff, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Cowley-Krien Funeral Home with the Rev. Daniel Sexton officiating. Interment will be at the Smith family cemetery.
Mrs. Smith died March 17, 1997, in Ada. She was born Sept. 5, 1922, at Oakgrove, to Martin and Lucille Scott Smith.
She played piano for gospel singing events.
Survivors include a son, Jeremy; and two daughters, Annie and Amanda Smith, all of Sulphur. She was preceded in death by a brother, Clyde Smith.
Bearers will be James Wallace, Alex Lewis, Clayburn Williamson, Matt McDonald, Omar Heminger and Ted Watson.

John C. Boosamra
BURNEYVILLE -- Funeral services with full military honors for John C. Boosamra, 46, will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Falconhead Christian Community Chapel. Dr. Stan Beason will officiate and interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, Marietta.
Boosamra died March 16, 1997, at his home. He was born Aug. 11, 1950, at Lawton.
He retired from the Army in July of 1978 and was employed at the Total Gas Station of Marietta. He had lived at Falconhead the past six years, moving here from Radcliff, Ky. He and Sherry Underwood were married June 3, 1977, at Sherman, Texas.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; two sons, John, Killeen, Texas, and Joshua, of the home; two daughters, Shannon and Amber, of the home; his mother, Lucille Boosamra, Falconhead; and a grandson.
Bearers will be the Fort Sill Honor Guard from Lawton. Honorary bearers will be Russell Leisure and Russell Tanner.
Kennedy Funeral Home, Marietta, will direct services.

Wilma Sims
Services for Wilma Sims will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the Griffin-Kennedy-Watts Chapel with the Rev. Bob Lee officiating. Interment will be at Green Hill Cemetery at Davis.
Mrs. Sims was born to the late Vernon Earl and Annie Myrtle Morton on July 5, 1919, at Hennepin. She died March 18, 1997, in the local hospital.
She had lived in Ardmore all her life and was retired from Daube's as a sales associate. She was a member of First Orthodox Baptist Church and the Mercy/Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
She is survived by two nephews, Buddy Morton, and his wife, Carolyn, and Richard Morton and his wife, Charlotte, all of Ardmore; sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Morton of Ardmore, Josie Rawlins of Oklahoma City, Stella Butler of Fort Collins, Colo., and Myrtle Sims of Ardmore.
Pallbearers will be Phillip Todd, G.E. Doty, Jerry Stout, Bill Roberts, Frank Thomas and Larry Harrell. Honorary bearers will be Basil P. Mitchell, Max Roberson, William W. Waye, great-nephews, Kevin and Brett Morton, and a great-niece, Cheryl Morton.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. this evening at the funeral home.

Edith Lester Smith
RINGLING -- Services for Edith Lester Smith will be at 10 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church with the Revs. J.W. Ray and Earl Burgess officiating. Interment will be at Grady Cemetery under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home.
Mrs. Smith died March 18, 1997, in the Ardmore hospital. She was born Sept. 7, 1911, at Ryan, to John H. and Sarah A.M. Stidham Wright.
Reared in the Atlee area, she married William David Lester Jan. 23, 1928, at Lawton, and they moved south of Ringling. He died Oct. 18, 1947. She and Joe Franklin Smith were married Jan. 3, 1949, and they moved to Plano, Texas. Her husband died Dec. 2, 1982. She returned to Ringling in 1993. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include four daughters, Wilma Folsom, Oklahoma City, Diana Young, Lucas, Texas, Carol Christian and Sarah Mounger, Plano; four sons, Larry Lester, Ringling, David Lester, Plano, Dwight Lester, Wylie, Texas, and Tony Smith, Red Oak, Texas; a stepdaughter, Mary Jo Castle, Ringling; three stepsons, Bill Smith, Ringling, Kenneth Smith, Grady, and Don Smith, Aurora, Colo.; two sisters, Edna Bunch, Greenbrier, Tenn., and Pearl Story, Ringling; a brother, Irid Hanks, Kingman, Ariz.; 25 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.
Bearers will be Robert Nation, C.K., David, Anthony, Brandon and Laine Lester.
