Rites set for Kealy at 2:16 pm
Funeral services for John Harold Kealy, age 72 of Clinton, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the First Assembly of God Church at Clinton with Rev. Mike Holman, Rev. William Jenkins, Jr. and Rev. Bill McKissick officiating.

Kealy died early Thursday, Nov. 18, 2004, in the United Methodist Health Care Center of Clinton. He was born on Nov. 17,1932, in Fulton, Kans., the son of Peter Phillip and Ruth (Peters) Kealy.

Having spent his early years in Kansas, Arkansas and Texas, Kealy graduated from Keene High School in Keene Texas, and attended junior college there.

He transferred to the University of New Mexico and was drafted into military service, serving in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1960. He then joined the Air Force and served until 1989.

On Aug. 27, 1955 he married Miss Jearldean “Jeri” Drake in Sun Ray, Texas.

After his honorable discharge, they moved to Dumas, Texas where John worked in a plumbing shop. Later, he worked for a smelter company and for the Bureau of Mines in Masterson, Texas.

They moved to Clinton in 1969, and John went to work for Natural Gas Pipeline. At the age of 59 he was called back into the Air Force during Desert Storm and served seven weeks of active duty.

John was a member of the First Assembly of God Church and the Evening Lions Club.

Burial will conclude in the Clinton Cemetery under the direction of the Stanley-Lee Funeral Home in Clinton.

Survivors include his wife, Jeri, of the home; a daughter, Sally, and her husband, Dr. Richard Madden of Clinton; two sons, Daniel and his wife, Cheryl, of Sacramento, Calif., Donald of Roseville, Calif.; a sister, Mary Vivian and her husband, “Bub” Ratliff of Farmington, Ark.; two brothers, Jimmy Kealy and his wife, Mary Ellen, of Springdale, Ark., William Kealy and his wife, Carolyn, of Bella Vista, Ark.; and eight grandchildren.

Miller rites on Saturday at 2:14 pm
Funeral services for Lucille L. Miller, 81, of Clinton, will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday in the First Mennonite Church at Clinton with Rev. Dave Gerbrandt officiating.
Miller died late Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2004, at Integris Clinton Regional Hospital. She was born on May 12, 1923, in Manson, Iowa, the daughter of Lawrence and Alma (Wendt) Widestrom.

Growing up in Manson, Iowa, she graduated from high school there in 1940.

On Sept. 15, 1941, she married Robert Miller, and they farmed in the Manson area until their retirement in 1982.

She worked with her husband on the farm and loved to cook for the farm hands. In her spare time she enjoyed quilting, sewing and playing the organ. She served as organist at the Manson Mennonite Church and was church secretary for 25 years.

In 1997 they moved to Clinton to be closer to family.

Lucille was a member of the First Mennonite Church, King’s Daughters and the ladies’ quilting group. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Burial will conclude in the Clinton Cemetery under the direction of the Stanley-Lee Funeral Home in Clinton.

She is survived by her husband Robert; four daughters, Sherlyn and her husband, Dr. Richard Burner of Madison, Wis., Lorna and her husband, Don Johnson of Clinton, Diane and her husband, Wilford Broxterman, of Atlanta, Ga., Kathleen and her husband, Mark Burner of Madison, Wis.; a son, Dale and Beth Miller of Loveland, Colo.; six sisters, Bernadine Widestrom, Audrey Widestrom, and Jo Anna/Videstrom, all of Des Moines, Iowa, Marie Acker and Eileen Junkman, both of Manson, Iowa, Lorna Hammon of Woodberry, Minn.; a brother, William Widestrom of Eagle Grove, Iowa; 12 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.

Ida Wassana rites Friday at 12:43 pm
Funeral services for Ida Wassana, age 58 of Weatherford, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Emmanuel Baptist Church at Weatherford.

A wake service will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the church.

Wassana died Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2004, at the Integris Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City. She was born on May 19, 1946, the daughter of Chester and Susie (Pratt) Wassana.

Growing up in Colony, she graduated from high school there and went to work for the 3M Company where she worked for 34 years until her retirement two years ago.

In her spare time, she enjoyed visiting relatives, especially her nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents; a sister, Myrna Anne Wassana; and a nephew, Terry Wassana.

Burial will conclude in the Greenwood Cemetery at Weatherford under the direction of the Stanley-Lee Funeral Home in Clinton.

Survivors include her brother, Truman Wassana, and his wife, Rose, of Weatherford; and a sister, Aletha Sue Guy of Phoenix, Ariz.

Traffic accident claims Mike Larue in Texas at 10:28 am

Funeral services for Michael Ray LaRue, 47, son of Leta LaRue of Clinton, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the J.E. Foust and Son Funeral Home in Grapevine, Texas.
LaRue died Friday, Nov. 12, 2004, at Parkland Hospital in Dallas from injuries sustained in a traffic accident the previous Monday. Family friend Mike Perkins said he lost control on a gravel road while returning to his rural home at Dodd City, Texas, near Bonham.

He was born July 28, 1957, in Clinton, the son of Bill and Oleta LaRue.

Growing up here, he graduated from Clinton High School in 1975 and attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University.

Both he and his parents were very involved in the Southwest Playhouse. Perkins credited him with setting up the light grid and the sound and light booth which are still in use at the playhouse.

LaRue continued his involvement in community theater in Texas. Other pursuits included sailing, diving, flying, star-gazing, and raising Texas longhorn cattle on his ranch.

He was married to the former Lindsay Gilmore. She survives, along with one son, Alex; his mother, Oleta, of Clinton; and two aunts, Fern LaRue and Ellowese Rachel.

His father, Bill, a well known performer on the Southwest Playhouse stage, was among relatives preceding him in death.

Visitation at the funeral home in Grapevine will be from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday.

Services set for Lewellen at 10:27 am

Funeral services for Ernest Lee “Lew” Lewellen, age 85 of Clinton, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the First Assembly of God Church in Clinton with Rev. Mike Holman and Rev. Lee Gleason officiating.
Lewellen died Sunday, Nov. 14, 2004, at Presbyterian Hospital in Oklahoma City. He was born on July 20, 1919 in Weatherford, the son of Leroy and Mertis (Fouance) Lewellen.

Reared in Weatherford, as a young man he worked for the railroad and was entitled to free passes to travel the country.

He also worked on the farm with his father at Romulus until he married Ruby Lee Lindsey of Hydro on May 21, 1939 at a Rock Island section house in Indianapolis.

He enlisted in the Army in 1942 and fought in World War II until he was honorably discharged in June of 1943.

The couple moved to Clinton in 1947 where they reared both their children.

He retired from the Clinton Public Schools in 1985 after 36 years of service as a bus driver and janitor.

On July 10, 1993 he married Lillian McMillin in Clinton. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Clinton.

Preceding him in death, along with his parents, were a brother, J.D. Lewellen; and two sisters, Velma Bradley and Geneva Hillard.

Burial will conclude in the Clinton Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home in Clinton.

Survivors include his wife, Lillian, of the home; a daughter, Darla Meeks and her husband, Gary, of Clinton; and a son, Anthony Lewellen and his wife, Patty, of Clinton.

Services held for Love at 4:45 pm
Funeral services for Jack Woodrow Love, age 84 of Oklahoma City, were held this morning at the Putnam City Christian Church with graveside services this afternoon at the Mound Valley Cemetery in Thomas.

Love died Friday, Nov. 12, 2004, at the Clinton Veterans Center. He was born on Dec. 28, 1919 in Valliant, the son of Charlie Monroe and Emma (Rye) Love.

He served in the Army, including during the occupation of Japan.

He was a church board chairman and elder and had volunteered for the mobile meals program for more than 20 years. Love also was a Mason and a service club member.

A pharmacist, he helped train 28 pharmacy students and served on the Oklahoma Pharmaceutical Association, including a stint as association president in 1964.

Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, were two brothers and four sisters as well as three siblings in childhood.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Betty; a daughter, Elizabeth Ann (Becky) Ingle and her husband, Ray, of Houston, Texas; a son, Bert Timmons (Tim) and his wife, Janelle, of Oklahoma City; a “second son,” John Truman (Jack) Brundage and his wife, Linda, of Oklahoma City; grandchildren, Jennifer Dutcher and her husband, Steve, of Houston, Texas, Scott Ingle and his wife, Victoria, of Houston, Texas, Jason Love and his wife, Laurie, of Oklahoma City, Jill Carroll and her husband, James, of Blanchard; great nieces, Dayna Bellah and her husband, Cliff, of Stillwater, Jacquelyn Walker and her husband, Brett, of Dallas, Texas; a great nephew, John Christopher Brundage of Dallas, Texas; four great grandchildren; a niece, Edna Gardner; and other nieces.

Services set for Johnson at 4:45 pm
Funeral services for Jimmie Ralph Johnson, age 49 of the Dill City-Burns Flat area and a 23-year member of the Burns Flat-Dill City Board of Education, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Don Lemke Gymnasium in Burns Flat under the direction of the McClure Funeral Home of Cordell.
Johnson, who had been the director of plant operations for the Western Technology Center in Burns Flat for the past six years, died Saturday, Nov. 13, 2004, at the Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City. He was born on June 17, 1955 at Hominy, the son of A.C. and Betty (Crabb) Johnson.

Burial will follow in the South Burns Cemetery at Dill City.

Stoney Lacey funeral slated at 3:39 pm
Funeral services for Stoney Neal Lacey, age 76 of Clinton, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the First Christian Church with minister Doyle Kinney officiating.

Lacey died late Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2004, at his home. He was born on Jan. 11, 1928 at Strong City, the son of J.T. and Nona Lee (Leddy) Lacey.

He spent his early years in Strong City and Cheyenne. His father died when he was nine years old.

His mother later married William O. “Bill” Hill. Lacey enlisted in the Army at the age of 17 and served during World War II and the Korean War as a medic. He was stationed in Tokyo.

While serving at Fort Sill he married Miss Joyce Carol Brown on Nov. 2, 1950 at Cheyenne.

After his honorable discharge, the couple lived in Cheyenne, Durham and Custer City before eventually moving to Clinton.

While working nights at J.C. Penney’s Lacey attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University and received his teaching degree in 1963 after which he taught art at Clinton High School.

He attended night school and earned his Master’s Degree in 1965.

Lacey went to work for the Oklahoma State Department of Vocational Rehabilitation as a counselor, serving for 36 years before retiring in 1993.

In his spare time, Lacey raised paint horses and Blue Healer and Austrian Shepherd dogs. He also enjoyed gardening, artwork and fishing.

He was a member of the First Christian Church, VFW, American Legion and Evening Lions Club.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his stepfather, William O. “Bill” Hill; and his son, Neal Lacey.

Burial will be in the Clinton Cemetery under the direction of the Stanley-Lee Funeral Home in Clinton.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce, of the home; two daughters, Sparla Dick and her husband, Curtis, of Winfield, Kan., Charlene Butler and her husband, Dr. Jack Butler, of Gilbert, Ariz.; a sister, Nina Payne of Elk City; six grandchildren, Shanna Trujillo and her husband, Ben, of Manhattan, Kan., Aaron Dick of Overland Park, Kan., Amber Whitworth of Tempe, Ariz., Sarah Butler and Aleah Butler, both of Gilbert, Ariz., Angelique Morton and her husband, Steve, of Oklahoma City; four great grandchildren, Madyson and Delany Trujillo, Jace Manke, Riley Morton; and special friends, Dean and Betty Cunningham of Moore and Irene Smith of Clinton.

The family suggests that those who desire may make memorial contributions in Stoney’s honor to the First Christian Church or the Western Oklahoma Hospice.

Graybill dies at 3:38 pm
Funeral services for Irene V. Graybill, age 83 of Leedey, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Leedey.
A homemaker, Graybill died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2004, at Duncan. Burial will follow the services in the Rhea Cemetery at Leedey under the direction of the Shaw Funeral Home in Leedey.

Services held for Alvarado at 4:41 pm

Graveside services for Margaret Lynne Alvarado, age 53 of Los Angeles, Calif., were held today in the Bethel Indian Mennonite Cemetery at Hammon.

Alvarado died Oct. 31, 2004 at Los Angeles. She was born on July 22, 1951 at Hammon, the daughter of Frank and Alice (Orange) Alvarado.

She spent her early years in Hammon and California before graduating from a Catholic convent in 1966.

After rearing her children, she earned her beautician’s license. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Stanley-Lee Funeral Home in Clinton.

Survivors include four sons, Frank, Anthony, Patrick, Raymond; a daughter, Margie; eight grandchildren; and two sisters, Carmen and Shirley.

McCarville funeral set at 9:16 am

Funeral services for Terrance “Terry” McCarville, age 76 of Clinton, will be held Saturday in Onawa, Iowa.

McCarville died Thursday, Nov. 4, 2004, at the Grace Living Center in Clinton. He was born on Oct. 1, 1928 on the family farm south of Blencoe, Iowa, the son of James and Deborah (Jones) McCarville.
Having
farmed for many years in Iowa, he was a veteran of the Korean War.

Preceding him in death were his parents and a brother, Bernard McCarville.

All arrangements are under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home in Clinton.

Survivors include a daughter, Michelle Rodgers and her husband, Richard, of Hinton, Iowa; a son, Dan McCarville and his wife, Dorothy, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; sisters, Bernadine Christensen and her husband, Ralph, of Iowa, Bonnie Kelly and her husband, Bill, of Onawa, Iowa, Imogine Thibodeau and her husband, Gary, of River Falls, Wis.; three grandchildren, Kyle Rodgers, Kaitlin Rodgers, Curtis McCarville; and special friends, Diane and Darrell Lanig of Mississippi.
