PATRICIA ‘PAT’ A. FRANKE
The funeral for Patricia “Pat” A. Franke, 68-year-old Douglas resident will be 2 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Covington. The Rev. Tommy Donaldson and Jody Schmidt will officiate. Burial will follow in Douglas Cemetery under the direction of Henninger-Allen Fun-eral Home.
Pat was born April 19, 1938, in Douglas, OK to Tommy LeGrand and Dora (Gibson) LeGrand and went to be with the Lord Sunday, Nov. 12, 2006, at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center.
She attended local schools and graduated from Douglas High School in 1956.
On Sept. 19, 1957, she married Earl Franke in Burlington, CO. The couple made their home in Douglas where he farmed and combined and she was a bookkeeper for Continen-tal Grain and Central O.K. Services as well as being a homemaker. She loved to sew and cook, and was known for her award-winning pies.
She is survived by her husband Earl, of the home; three children, Larry and Karry Franke of Covington, Lori and Glenn Frankenberg of Purcell, OK, and Les Franke of Covington; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Harold LeGrand, and a grandson, Caven Franke.
Memorials may be made to the Down Syndrome Associa-tion of Central Oklahoma (DSACO) with the funeral home acting as custodian of the fund. (Paid obit 11-15-1)

DONNIE DENNIS
There are no services planned at this time for Donnie Dennis, 34, of Tecumsch. Arrangements are by Cooper Funeral Home, Tecumseh.
He was born Aug. 9, 1972, in Enid and raised by his grandparents, James and Frances Randolph, and died Monday, Nov. 6, 2006, in Tecumseh.
He married Carrie Ging Sept. 21, 1992, in Enid. He worked as a block mason for Pioneer Masonary.
Surviving are his wife, Carrie, and two daughters, Heather Dennis and Amanda Dennis, all of the home.
A fund in his daughters’ names has been set up at BancFirst.

EMMA LEE SNYDER
A graveside service for Emma Lee Snyder, 92, of Woodward, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Fairview Park Cemetery, St. John, Kan. Ar-rangments are by Bil-lings Fu-neral Home, Woodward.
She was born Jan. 19, 1914, in Hudson, Kan., to John and Emma Derie DeBusk, and died Sunday, Nov. 12, 2006, in Grace Living Center.
She married Wendell Eugene Snyder Nov. 20, 1934, in Hoisington, Kan. They farmed west of St. John until semi-retiring in 1997. They moved to Woodward. He died Nov. 27, 2003. She was a member of Eden Valley Church of the Brethren.
Surviving are two sons, Garry Snyder of Woodward and David Snyder of Ness City, Kan., five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband Wendell she was preceded in death by two children and 11 brothers and sisters.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation.

Surviving are her husband Earl, of the home; two sons, Larry Franke and Les Franke, both of Covington; one daughter, Lori Frankenberg of Purcell; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother and one grandson.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Down Syndrome Association of Central Oklahoma (DSACO).

OPHELIA SCHOENHALS
The funeral for Ophelia Schoenhals, 89, of Shattuck, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Ebenezer Baptist Church, Shattuck. Junior Zollinger, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Ebenezer Baptist Cemetery, southwest of Shattuck. Arrangements are by Mason Funeral Home, Shattuck.
She was born Jan. 14, 1917, southwest of Shattuck to Fredrick and Mary Katherine Meier Schoenhals and died Sunday, Nov. 12, 2006, in Shattuck.
She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. She moved from the family farm into Shattuck in 1981.
Surviving are one sister-in-law, Valentine Schoenhals of Lipscomb, Texas, and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.

LAWRENCE HERMAN HORT
The funeral for Lawrence “Larry” Herman Hort, 68, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at United Methodist Church, Laverne. The Rev. Nancy Adler will officiate. Burial will be 2 p.m. in Brumfield Cemetery, Seiling. Arrangements are by Myatt-Seeger Funeral Home, Laverne. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today.
He was born Dec. 25, 1937, in Alva to Herman I. and Ida Lu Etta “Billie” Rogers Hort and died Saturday, Nov. 11, 2006, in Woodward Regional Hospital.
He graduated from Oakwood High School in 1956. He was an oil field worker and apartment manager. He attended both Lutheran and Baptist churches as a young child. He was a member of Vici Fire Department and coached little league at Wakita.
He married Jean Linderer in 1959 in Pond Creek. He later married LaVonne Esta Woods in 1977 in Lipscomb, Texas.
Surviving are his wife, LaVonne of the home; two sons, Mitchell Hort of Yukon and Russell Hort of Woodward; one daughter, Cassandra Forrest of Woodward; four stepsons, Leslie Okerstrom of Tulsa, Chester Daughenbaugh of Arnett, Sean Daughenbaugh of Arnett and Regan Roberts of Fort Worth, Texas; his father, Herman Hort and his mother, Billie Hort, both of Laverne; a sister, Mary Lu Mulbery of Laverne; 21 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother and one stepgrandson.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Laverne Fire Department or Laverne Ambulance.

BARBARA KAY JACKSON
Funeral services for Barbara Kay Jackson, age 67, of Enid, will be 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 13, 2006, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Michael Frisbie will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Ceme-tery.
Barbara was born April 25, 1939, in Enid, to Irvin E. and Glenna Belle (Hammer) Pryor, and died Thursday, Nov. 9, 2006, at Golden Oaks Nursing Home.
She was raised in Marshall, OK and graduated from Pioneer High School.
She married Newton Jackson in November of 1958, and they resided in Marshall until moving to Enid in 1963. She was a stay-at-home mom until her kids were in school. She then worked at St. Mary’s Hospital until 1976. She volunteered for many things, always thinking of others first. She was president of Habitat for Humanity and was a member of the Eastern Star, having gone through all the chairs of the organization.
She is survived by three children, James Jackson of Elk City; Michael Jackson of Stillwater and Michelle McCain of Elk City and an adopted grandchild, Jonathon Jackson; stepmother, Lorene Pryor of Enid; brothers, Randy McKenzie and John McKenzie; sister, Dee Dee Ross; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Hospice Circle of Love with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home as custodian of the funds.

BESSIE ALAMEDA THEDFORD
Funeral services for Bessie Alameda Thedford, age 95, of Enid, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Davis Park Christian Church with Rev. Alan Seibel officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Fu-neral Home.
Bessie was born Aug. 2, 1911, in Mound City, Kansas to Ira and Olive Jones and passed away late Saturday evening at the Highland Park Manor.
She graduated from Orlando High School. She married Walter Thedford in 1931 and he passed away in 1984.
Bessie was a member of Davis Park Christian Church. She volunteered at Enid Regional Hospital, St. Mary’s Regional Hospital, and Integris Bass Baptist Health Center with the combined 22 years of service.
Bessie loved music, flowers, and being a Christian.
She is survived by her son, Bob and his wife Pam Thedford of Enid; three daughters-in-law, Elaine and Ramona Thedford of Enid and Mavis Thedford of Fairfield, Nebraska; 11 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and special friend Jim Kuehne of California.
She was preceded in death by her husband Walt; three sons, Darrell, Dale, and Kenneth; two sisters and four brothers.
Memorials may be given to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the fund.

CLAUDE THOMAS
A graveside service for Claude Thomas, 58, Edmond, formerly of Enid, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Northern Oklahoma Resource Ccnter of Enid Cemetery. Arrangements are by Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
He was born April 18, 1948, and died Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2006, in Edmond Health Care Center.
He lived at Enid State School, then lived at Sunnyside Center until its closing in 2001. He moved to Oklahoma City and was a resident of New Frontiers, later moving to Edmond Health Care Center.
He has no known survivors.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Edmond Health Care Center.

J. RAYMOND B. GENTRY
A graveside service for J. Raymond B. Gentry, 94, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Covington Cemetery, Coving-ton. Tommy Donaldson and Jody Schmidt will officiate. Arrangements are by Dugger Funeral Home of Garber.
He was born April 5, 1912, in Ava, Mo., to Charles M. and Leota Sivils Gentry and died Friday, Nov. 10, 2006, in Perry Memorial Hospital.
He attended Lakey and Arno schools and graduated from Ava High School in 1932. He attended Southwest Missouri Teachers University and taught school for two years.
He married Audrey Reynolds Oct. 26, 1935, in Galena, Mo. They moved to south Louisiana where he worked for numerous oil companies until 1943, when he was inducted into the Army. He was honorably discharged in 1946. He worked in a Western Auto Associates store before moving to Newell, W.Va., where he worked for Homer-Laughlin China Co. and later Globe Brick Co. In 1951 they moved to Covington where they owned and operated Gentry’s Store for 22 years. He retired in 1979. He was a member of Masonic Lodge, Anchor No. 104 of Marshall. He was worshipful master in 1989 and recognized for 60 years of membership in 2003. He was a member of Covington Rotary Club and Tri-County Senior Citizens and attended First Baptist Church in Covington.
Surviving are two brothers, Melvin J. Gentry of Plains City, Ohio, and Henderson Oliver Gentry of Ava, Mo., and two sisters, Juanita Stafford of St. Joseph, Mo., and Piccola Jean Ridge of Sandy, Utah.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey, five sisters and three brothers.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Tri-County Senior Citizens Center of Covington, P.O. Box 66, Garber, OK 73738.
