JOHN ROBERT CAREY JR.
A memorial service for John Robert Carey Jr., 50, of Curtis, will be 2 p.m Monday at Billings Funeral Home Chapel, Woodward. The Rev. Gaylon Cox will officiate.
He was born Feb. 28, 1956, in Spokane, Wash., to Yvonne Lois Onstatt and John Robert Carey and died Thursday, June 1, 2006, at his home.
He was raised and educated in Fountain, Colo. Following school he moved to Mooreland to work in the oil field.
He married Sondra Gayle Tuck March 19, 1975, in Woodward. They made their home south of Curtis. He was a driller for Pioneer Drilling Co.
Surviving are his wife, Sondra, of the home; one daughter, Chasity Carey of Cushing; two sons, Chris Carey of Woodward and Kyle Carey of Curtis; and two brothers, Kevin Carey of Palisade, Colo., and Hugh Niles of Weston, Colo.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

ANDREW W. RUARK
A memorial for Andrew W. Ruark, 73, of Enid, will be 1 p.m. Saturday, June 10, at Boundless Love Church, Enid. The Rev. Shirley Collin will officiate. Military honors will be by the U.S. Navy Honor Guard. Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Home, Pond Creek.
He was born June 6, 1932, in Camden Point, Mo., to Andrew Gardner and Eldora Lucille Fitzgerald Ruark and died Thurs-day, June 1, 2006, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.
He grew up in Northern Missouri.
He married Elaine Harrel-son Jan. 17, 1982, in Garber. He was a Navy aviation boatman first class and was a decorated Korean and Vietnam veteran and a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans.
Surviving are his wife, Elaine Ruark of Enid; his mother, Eldora Ruark of Oklahoma City; three sons, Andy Ruark of Atchison, Kan., Anthony Simmering of Ore City, Texas and Travis Simmering of Canton, Texas; two daughters, Amanda Merrill of Enid, and Judy of Oregon; three brothers, Robert Ruark of Cayuse, Ore., Paul Ruark of Springfield, Mo., and Randy Ruark of Oklahoma City; two sisters, Patty Ellis of St. Joseph, Mo., and Alta Gleason of Oklahoma City; 12 grandchildren; and several stepchildren and stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Memorials may be made to Boundless Love Church, 1310 S. Monroe, Enid, OK 73701.

PAUL NELSON
A memorial service for Paul Nelson, 72, will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church, Kingfisher. Arrangements are by Sanders Funeral Service Inc., Kingfisher.
He was born Dec. 29, 1933, in Woodward to Earl and Rebecca Nelson and died Friday, June 2, 2006.
He grew up in Woodward, graduating from Woodward High School. He attended Panhandle A&M College and graduated from Oklahoma A&M College with a bachelor of science degree in Agronomy in 1956. He served two years in the Army and five years in Oklahoma National Guard. He lived most of his live in Kingfisher where he worked for U.S. Department of Agriculture Soil Conservation Service. He also was a leather artist. He attended Kingfisher United Methodist Church, worked with Boy Scouts of America, Future Farmers of America and Lions Club, serving as district governor and state council chairman. He was a Melvin Jones Fellow. He also was a 32nd Degree Mason. He continued to work part-time as a conservation consultant and volunteered for the agriculture mediation program.
Surviving are his wife, Jackie; a daughter, Cherri Fike of Woodward; one son, Keith Nelson of Checotah; stepdaughters, Dana Stone of Oklahoma City and Terri Blakley of Enid; one brother, Robert Nelson of Amarillo, Texas; and 11 grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Angus Project, c/o Oklahoma Lions Boys Ranch, P.O. Box 400, Perkins, OK, 74059.

GLADYS MAE DURHAM
A private graveside service for Gladys Mae Durham, 90, of Enid, will be Monday in Enid Cemetery. The Rev. Tom Pullin will officiate. Arrangements are by Henninger-Allen Funeral Home.
She was born March 7, 1916, in Raymond-ville, Texas, to Lee and Gertrude Stockwell Winfield and died Thursday, June 1, 2006, at her home.
She married Harold Durham Feb. 11, 1939, in Enid, where they made their home. She was a member of Cedar Ridge Wesleyan Church.
Surviving are one daughter, Judi of the home; a sister, Deane Eck; one brother, Floyd Winfield; and a grandson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold, two brothers and one son.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the charity of donor’s choice.

HELEN LEE LONDON
The funeral for Helen Lee London, 93, of Alva, will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Freedom United Methodist Church. The Rev. Carolyn Murrow will officiate. Burial will be in Fairvalley Cemetery. Arrange-ments are by Wharton Funeral Chapel, Alva.
She was born Aug. 5, 1912, in a log cabin near Packard Creek, west of Freedom to Lucy Welty and Bunk Snapp and died Saturday, June 3, 2006, at Alva Share Medical Center.
She attended White Cloud and Fairvalley rural grade schools and graduated from Freedom High School in 1930. She and her mother operated Snapp Ranch following the death of her father.
She married Levi London May 22, 1941, in Alva. They made their home on Snapp Ranch. In 1978, they moved to Freedom. He died April 17, 1978.
She was a member of Freedom Museum and Freedom Old Cowhand Association and was honored as “The Old Cowhand” for 2004.
Surviving are one daughter, Vilene Hansen of Alva; a son, Jim of Freedom; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers.
Memorials may be made to Freedom Ambulance Service or Freedom Fire Department.

ELSIE L. MORGAN
A graveside service for Elsie L. Morgan, 74-year-old Enid resident will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 6, 2006, in Memorial Park Garden Chapel. Pastor Steve Williams will officiate. Ar-rangements are under the direction of Henning-er-Allen Funeral Home.
Elsie was born Feb. 14, 1932, in Enid to Cyrus Krout and Nora (Howard) Krout and died Thursday, June 1, 2006, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.
She attended local schools. On Jan. 28, 1963, she married Rex Morgan in Miami, Okla. The couple made their home in Enid.
She is survived by her children, two sisters, Betty Via and Vera Tharp, and 10 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Rex Morgan; one brother, Charles Krout; two sisters, Ethel Dayton and Leona “Bell” McMillion; and her son, Eddie Turner.
Memorials may be made to the charity of donor’s choice with the funeral home acting as custodian of the fund.

CHARLES MASON ‘BUCK’ INGRAHAM
The funeral for Charles “Buck” Ingraham, 85, of Alva, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Alva Church of God. The Rev. Bob Brown will officiate. Burial will be in Alva Municipal Cemetery. Arrangements are by Marshall Funeral Home, Alva.
He was born Jan. 24, 1921, in Clayton, N.M., to Charles Frederick and Jane Million Ingraham and died Saturday, June 3, 2006, in Enid.
He married Leona Harper Feb. 8, 1941 in Alva. They lived on a farm a few years before he went to work as a welder for Santa Fe Railroad. After his retirement in 1982, they lived in Kiowa, Kan., before returning to Alva in 1984.
They were members of a camper’s club and spent the winters in South Texas for 15 years.
Surviving are his wife, Leona, of Alva; one son, Keith Ingraham, of Alva; one daughter, Charlene Campbell, of Alva; seven grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, one grandson, four brothers and one sister.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Alva Church of God.

ELIZABETH JAYNE “BETTY” STEPHENSON
Funeral services for Elizabeth Jayne “Betty” Stephenson, 80, of Shawnee, formerly of Enid, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Ladusau-Evans Chapel with the Rev. Don Tines officiating. Burial will follow in the Enid Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Betty was born May 6, 1926, in Topeka, KS to Henry and Alma Wierenga More and passed away in Shawnee, OK on Friday, June 2, 2006. She was raised in Topeka, where she attended and graduated from high school. In 1944 she moved to Enid to attend Phillips University. On April 15, 1949, she married Joe Stephenson Jr. in Topeka, KS.
Betty worked for her mother in the cafeteria at Emerson Junior High School. In 1969, she moved to Ardmore, where she worked for the State of Oklahoma. They moved to Shawnee in 1984.
Betty loved to travel and spend time with family and friends.
Betty is survived by her husband, Joe, of the home; two daughters, Deborah Stephenson of Concord, Calif., and Cathie and her husband Jay Kidd of Soda Springs, Idaho; one son, Joe Stephenson III of Houston, Texas; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Diane Ronck, and three sisters.

WAYNE T. CROPPER
Wayne T. Cropper, 55, of El Paso, TX, died May 26 at William Beaumont Army Medical Center at Fort Bliss.
There were no services, but condolences may be expressed at www.chiles-lamanfh.com. Chiles & Sons-Laman Funeral Home, in El Paso, TX, was the funeral home in charge.
He was born Aug. 14, 1950 in Lamar, CO to Bernard E. and Alta Rosella Norton Cropper. He married Lisa Wichonghui. He served with the Marines in the Vietnam War, and he was retired from the U.S. military.
Survivors include one brother, Bernard Earl Cropper Jr., Enid; four sisters, Erlene K. Herman, Lawton, OK, Kay (Irl) Cottom, Meno, Peggy Guffey, Lahoma, OK and Hazel Carter, Lima, OH; nephews Frank W. Wiegratz, Tony Harmon, Dennis E. Cropper, Gerald, Gene and Owen Cottom and Jerry and Larry Guffey; nieces, Connie Wittkamp and Rose Ella Herman; great-nephews Chris-topher Wittkamp and Cody Wittkamp and many other great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by wife, Lisa, and one nephew, Buck “Earl” Herman.

MINNIE LEE CRAWFORD
The funeral for Minnie Lee Crawford, 76, of Kingfisher, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Church of Christ, Kingfisher. Ken Richter and Lloyd Unsell will officiate. Burial will be in Evans-Burn Cemetery, Dover. Arrangements are by Russworm Funeral Home, Enid.
She was born Feb. 3, 1930, in Gracemont to DeWitt Dunnigan and Ella Murray and died Tuesday, May 16, 2006, at Baptist Medical Center, Okla-homa City.
She grew up in Dover and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School, east of Dover.
She married Curtis Steven-son. She later married Joe Crawford. They lived in Alexander, Ark.
She returned to Dover and then Kingfisher where she was a member of Church of Christ until her death. She was a homemaker and a cook at various cafes.
Surviving are two sons, Bernell Stevenson of Santa Margarita, Calif., and Eric Stevenson of El Reno; two daughters, Linda Caldwell of Dover and Debra Clark of Columbus, Ohio; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe, one sister and a grandson.
Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association or the Jay Caldwell Memorial Fund at Community State Bank in Dover.
