Waymon Hugh Finley
Waymon Hugh Finley, 65, of Sulphur died June 11, 2003, in Southwest Medical Center in Oklahoma City. Funeral services were June 17 at Sulphur United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Emery Mason officiating. Burial was in Oaklawn Cemetery.
He was born March 16, 1938, to Vaudrey and Oleta Bogart Finley. He grew up in Sulphur and graduated from the Oklahoma School for the Deaf in 1959. He worked at Stromburg-Carlson at the Ardmore Air Park and at the Senior Citizens Center in Sulphur. Finley was a volunteer for the Meals on Wheels Program. He was preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his mother, Oleta Finley of Artesian Nursing Home; an aunt, Viola Bogart Goodman, and nine first cousins. Pallbearers were Kenneth Weaver, Lynell Sloan, Tommy Varner, Brooks Cole, Robert Morris, Glenn O'Neal and Mitch Tribbey. Cowley-Krien Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
"Joey" Beatley
Services for "Joey" Beatley, 37, Davis, were held Wednesday, June 18, 2003 at 3:30 p.m. at the Davis First Baptist Church with Rev. Finis Steelman and Rev. Junior Thomas officiating. Interment was at Green Hill Cemetery under the direction of Fox Funeral Home.
Mr. Beatly was born on July 15, 1965 in Norman to William Lewis and Dorothy Faye (McCoy) Beatley. He died on June 15, 2003 in Pauls Valley. On August 29, 1991 he married ShaRonda (Baker) Beatley in Galveston, Texas.
Joey was raised in Norman and Davis. He graduated from Davis High School in 1984. He worked for the Davis Fire Department, City of Davis and Curwood.
He is survived by his wife, ShaRonda, of the home; one daughter, Brittney Beatley; two sons, Daniel and Coby Beatley, all of Davis; his mother Dorothy Reyns, Lexington; two brothers, John Beatley, Watonga and Kevin Beatley, Lubbock, Texas; five sisters, Beth Pierce, Davis, Bonnie Cothren, Denver City, Texas, Linda Lantz, Noble, Rebecca Collins, Norman and Lisa Eakin, Little Rock, Ark. He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Jeff Beatley.
Pallbearers were Ed Thomas, Rodney Roady, Ricky Roady, Bert Curtis, James Atchley and Tom Graham.
Honorary pallbearers were firemen, retired firemen and City of Davis employees.
Glenda Ann Pettitt
Services for Glenda Ann Pettitt, 70, were held Tuesday, June 10, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Brad Ransom officiating. Interment was at Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Cowley-Krien Funeral Home.
Glenda was born on April 21, 1933, at Buffalo, to Harold Oliver and Helen Louis Cross. She died on June 7, 2003 in the Oklahoma Heart Hospital, Okla. City. She married James (Red) Pettitt on January 16, 1953 in Bristow.
She was born in Buffalo and raised in Durant. She moved to Sulphur in 1962 where she and Red raised their family. She lived in Sulphur and Murray County the remainder of her life. Glenda was Baptist by faith, and was a bulldozer operator. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed fishing, camping and loved animals.
She is survived by her husband, James Pettitt, of the home, Sulphur; three sons, James Pettitt, Jr. and wife, Sue, Sulphur, Jerry Don Pettitt and wife, Pam, Sulphur and Johnny Pettitt and wife, Kathy, Sulphur; four daughters, Angie Lee and husband, Bob, Sulphur, Gingi Poulin and husband, George, Sulphur, Brenda Pettitt, Sulphur and Linda Guffey and husband, Tim, Sulphur; one brother, Kenneth Cross, Judsonia, Ark.; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Nadine Johnston, Seattle, Wash. and Sharon Kay Woodside, Oklahoma City; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Helen Jean Matson and one brother, Harold Cross.
Pallbearers were Bobby Lee, Shawn Lee, James Poulin, Jerry Poulin, J.J. Poulin, Zach Pettitt and T.J. Guffey.
Honorary pallbearers were Mike Martin, Blake Martin, Steve Martin, Cole Martin, Ty Pettitt, Brason Lee, Jay Johnson, Matt Foster, James Matson.
Jeannette Jemison
Services for Jeannette Jemison, 100, Davis, were held Wednesday, June 18 at 2:00 p.m. at the Fox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Emery Mason officiating. Interment was at Oaklawn Cemetery, Sulphur, under the direction of Fox Funeral Home.
She was born April 17, 1903 in Marksville, La. to Henry and Isabella (Foremier) Bordelon. She died June 15, 2003 at Burford Manor in Davis.
Mrs. Jemison married S. P. Jemison on December 14, 1923 in Marksville, La. He preceded her in death on April 15, 1969.
Mrs. Jemison grew up in Marksville and moved to Oklahoma in 1925. She lived in this area many years, moving here from northern Oklahoma. She was a housewife and a Methodist by faith.
She is survived by one daughter, Jean Phillips, Sulphur; one son, Bud Jemison, Enid; two sisters, Eva Couvillon and Mary Gardiner, both of Marksville, La; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were her parents, one brother and one grandchild.
Pallbearers were Larry Vaughn Bushnell, Ronnie and Chase Pierce, Darryl Carter, Johnny Shores and Preston Evans.
David "Mark" Webb
Graveside services for David "Mark" Webb, 43, of Hennepin were July 26 at Lone Cedar Cemetery, Mannsville, with Pastor James Tines officiating. He died July 23, 2003, at his residence.
He was born Feb. 6, 1960, in Ardmore to Melvin A. Webb and Paula (Burroughs) Webb. He graduated from Dickson High School and married Tina (Tice) Wonder. They were married 19 years and had two children. He worked at V.E. Enterprises in Springer until his health would not allow him to continue. On Sept. 14, 2001, he married Tammy Day, who now resides in Lone Grove. He attended church at New Life Tabernacle in Sulphur, loved hunting and fishing and was a member of the American Iron Riders. He was preceded in death by his mother.
Survivors include: his parents; Melvin and Judy Webb, Davis; his son, Dexter Scott Webb, Pottstown, Pa.; his daughter, Callie Renna Webb, Sulphur; three brothers, Gene Webb, Henderson, Texas; Randy Webb, Dickson, and Colt Webb, Davis; three sisters, Lenora Sue Webb of Wewoka and Alisha and Melanie Webb, both of Davis, and three grandchildren. Krien Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Danny Malone
Services for Danny Malone, 46, were held Thursday, June 19, 2003, at Griffin Funeral Home chapel with Gary Reynolds officiating. Interment followed at Oakland Cemetery.
Born Aug. 15, 1956, in Tishomingo to J.D. Malone and Audrey Robinson Malone, he died June 16, 2003, at the local hospital.
A life member of the Loyal Order of Moose, he served his lodge as junior governor, three terms as governor and two terms as past governor. He received his Fellowship Degree in Minneapolis in 1999. He held every chair in Sooner Moose Legion 147, including president, and was currently in the position as Legion Ambassador.
He was preceded in death by his father and brothers, Lonnie and Glen Malone.
Survivors include his wife, the former Tamara Hart, sons, Matthew Daniel Malone and Jessie Dean Malone, all of Ardmore; a daughter, Rebecca McDonnell and husband, Kenny; his mother, Audrey Malone, Wynnewood; brothers, Bill and wife, Diann, Ardmore, Johnny Malone, Wynnewood, Nickie and wife, Brenda, Sulphur, Alvin Malone and Ricky Malone, both of Wynnewood, Dennis Malone and wife, Kay, Texas; sisters, Linda Wix and husband, Jackie, Arkansas, Vickie Malone, Wynnewood, Anita Malone, Graham, Donna Malone, Sioux Falls, S.C., Melanie Middaugh, Ardmore; two grandchildren, Jessica and Josh McDonnell and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bearers were Nickie, Alvin, Dennis, Ricky, Chris and Shawn Malone. Honorary bearers were all Sooner Moose Legion 147 members.
Kenneth Roy Dilbeck
Graveside services for Kenneth Roy Dilbeck, 77, were held Tuesday, July 29, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Steve Biggerstaff officiating. Interment was at Dolberg Cemetery under the direction of Clagg Funeral Home.
Mr. Dilbeck was born on October 28, 1925 in Ada to Clinton Willie and Gladys Elizabeth (Kelly) Dilbeck. He died July 27, 2003 in Norman. On January 13, 2001 he married Connie Rutherford Nelson in Sulphur.
He had lived his early life in this area, attending Ada schools. As a teenager he moved to California with his parents, and returned to the Sulphur area 28 years ago.
He is survived by two sisters, Joyce Snelgrooes, Sulphur and Dorothy Scott, Dothan, Ala.; two brothers, Tom Dilbeck, Sulphur and Jerry Dilbeck, Sulphur. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Clintina Aycock.
Edna "Ruth" Mathews
Services for Edna "Ruth" Mathews, 80, were held Wednesday, July 30, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, Davis, with Rev. James Densman officiating. Interment was at Green Hill Cemetery under the direction of Fox Funeral Home.
Mrs. Mathews was born May 15, 1923 at Wynnewood to Thomas Ford and Lizzie Dee (Eaton) Montgomery. She died on July 28, 2003 at Mercy Memorial Health Center. In 1955 she married James Harvey Mathews in Oklahoma City. He preceded her in death in 1994.
She moved to Dougherty in her early age and attended Dougherty Schools. She lived in several areas including Germany, England, Roswell and Almorgordo, N.M. before returning to Davis in 1997. She was a member and attended Sunday School Class at the First Baptist Church of Davis, a member of the Progressive HCE and was a homemaker.
She is survived by one son, Jimmy Worley, Millerton; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother, Clifford Eugene Montgomery, Sierra Vista, Ariz.; one sister, Maxine Montgomery Hanife, Dallas, Texas; two sisters-in-law, Florence Montgomery, Davis and Loyaltie Montgomery, Sulphur. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; an infant son; one sister and two brothers.
Pallbearers were Wayne Webb, Buddy Jones, Bo Saunders, Ray Chambless, W.T. Young, and Leland Slate.
Dennie Dewayne Spears
Services for Dennie Dewayne Spears, 66, were held Friday, July 11, 2003 at the Rejoice Free Will Baptist Church in Owasso with Pastor Leonard Pirtle officiating. Committal services and interment followed at Graceland Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Spears was born on March 31, 1937 at Joy, to Ben Woodson and Avis Bell (Caldwell) Spears. He died Monday, July 7, 2003 in Tulsa. On June 15, 1957 he married Martha Cevella "Cindy" Wood.
He graduated from Sulphur High School in 1956. He spent most of his working life as an aircraft mechanic with American Airlines before his retirement on March 29, 2002. He was a member of Rejoice Free Will Baptist Church in Owasso. He enjoyed a variety of pastimes including golfing, bowling, as well as OU football, but his favorite thing to do was fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Martha "Cindy," of the home, daughter and son in law; Kelly J and Stephen Brinlee, Sapulpa; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Jennifer L. Spears, Lewiston, Idaho; daughter, Jennifer J. Spears, Owasso; four grandchildren, Stephanie, Kara, Katelin and Jared; sister and brother-in-law, Judith Ann and Sam Orr, Mill Creek and two nephews, Danny Orr, Whitesboro, Texas and Mike Orr, Plano, Texas.
Pallbearers were John Shore, Walter Harper, Ray Hester, Billy Jack Hanna, Lee Horst, and Gary Howsen.
Mowery Funeral Home, Owasso, was in charge of arrangements.
Jimmy Lewis "Jim" Watts
Jimmy "Jim" Lewis Watts, 62, of Davis, died Oct. 4, 2003 at Mercy Memorial Hospital in Ardmore. Funeral services are Wednesday (today) at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church with Pastor James Densman officiating. Burial will be in Drake Cemetery, Nebo.
He was born Sept. 28, 1941, to Owen Lewis Watts and Naomah Lucille Mann. He went to school in Sulphur and moved to Davis 15 years ago. He worked in the oilfield and concrete business for 17 years. Watts was a member of the Church of Christ of Davis. He is survived by: his wife, Lula, of the home; a son, Terry Groover; two daughters, Shiela Brown and Gaylene Wallace; a brother, Dennis Watts, and a sister, Alene Casey.
He was preceded in death by: both parents, a son, Mike Davis, adaughter, Penni Watts, and a brother, Larry Watts. Krien Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
John Wesley "Wes" Rogers Jr.
John Wesley "Wes" Rogers Jr., 46, of Davis died Oct. 4, 2003, at Mercy Memorial Hospital in Oklahoma City. Graveside services were held Monday, Oct. 6, at 2 p.m. at Green Hill Cemetery, with Bro. Gary Fielding and Dan Rogers officiating.
He was born June 9, 1957, in Wynnewood to Ina Bell "Nancy" (Warren) and John Wesley "Dick" Rogers Sr. He graduated from Davis High School in 1975 and attended the University of Oklahoma. He worked in the oil field for several years. He married Jackie LeAnn Crawford on June 14, 1982, in Gainesville, Texas. He was employed the past 12 years with the Oklahoma Baptist Association, working at Falls Creek. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Wayne "Turkey" Rogers.
He is survived by: his wife of the home; a son, John Wesley "J.W." Rogers III and a daughter, Sarah DeAnn Rogers, both of the home; his mother of Davis; a brother, Eldon Rogers of Moore and a sister, Diane Paredez of Deer Park, Texas. Pallbearers were Gary Warren, Chad Fielding, Charles Matlock, Kenny Hudson, Rhett Hale and Sam Snyder. Honorary pallbearers were Zeke Genn and Guy Waters. Krien Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Funeral services for prominent Sulphur business man, oilman and rancher, James R. Jack, 75, are pending with Cowley-Krien Funeral Home, Sulphur, Okla.
In lieu of flowers the family asked that memorials be made to the Sheppherd of the Hills Presbyterian Church Building Fund.

Lyndal "Bill" Harris Spicer
Services for Lyndal "Bill" Harris Spicer, 83, were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Cowley-Krien Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Eddie Malphrus and the Rev. Danny Alexander officiating. Interment followed at Green Hill Cemetery, Davis.
Born June 22, 1920, in Ada to Cecil Leonis and Iola Jeff McCurty Spicer, he died September 28, 2003, at Arbuckle Memorial Hospital in Sulphur. He was preceded in death by his mother, father and a sister, Betty Francis Anderson.
He married Betty Fields on January 5, 1960, at Davis.
Born in Ada, he lived in Fairfax and Stillwell before moving to Sulphur in 1939. He was a U.S. Army veteran stationed in Iceland and served in World War II. He was a dairyman, farmer and worked summers at the Chickasaw National Recreation Area. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Betty, of the home; a son, James Fields Spicer and his wife, Jenny Rebecca, Davis; and a sister, Pat Lawson, Wagoner.
Bearers were Richard Mize, Phillip Arms, Butch Hill, Alan Frazier, Jason Keck and Don Keck. Honorary bearers were Noel Peebler, Jimmy Frazier, Leon Blagg, Don Mize, Steve Freeman and Kenneth Binderim.
Gretna Kaye (Mann) Mills
Services for Gretna Mills, 55, Tulsa, were held Monday, Sept. 29, 2003 at 3:00 p.m. at Mobley -Dodson Funeral Chapel in Sand Springs with the Rev. Edward Zickefoose officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of the Mobley-Dodson Funeral Services.
Gretna was the daughter of Billie Mann and the late Roy Mann and was born January 21, 1948 in McAlester. She died in her home Thursday, Sept. 25, 2003.
She grew up in Sulphur and graduated from Sulphur High School where she was a cheerleader and class officer. She moved to Tulsa in 1981 from Mannford. She attended cosmetology school in Ardmore and then opened her own beauty shop in Sulphur. She later married Mike Copenhaver and moved to Oklahoma City and then on to Tulsa. She married Gaylon Mills on September 23, 1983. She had just celebrated her 20th year anniversary. Gretna had been employed with Tonis Flower Shop in Tulsa for the past eight years. She loved gardening, painting, music and writing.
She was preceded in death by her father.
She is survived by her husband, Gaylon Mills, Tulsa; her mother, Billie Mann, Sulphur; her brother, Keith Mann and sister-in-law, Jana Mann, Sulphur; two daughters, Staci Copenhaver, Sand Springs and DeLinda "Pebbles" Minyen and her husband, Joe Minyen, Sulphur; two step daughters, Jodi Mays and husband, Mike, Bartlesville and Maggie Mills, Smayrna, Georgia and a step-son, Dale Mills and wife, Amy, Mannford; seven grandchildren including Sarah and Kevin Minyen, Sulphur and many nieces and nephews.
Lovie Irene Petty
Services for Lovie Irene Petty, 93, Davis, were held Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2003 at 10:00 AM at the East Main Church of Christ of Davis with Dwight Brown officiating. Interment was at Greenwood Memorial Park Cemetery, Fort Worth, Texas at 3:00 p.m. under the direction of Fox Funeral Home.
Lovie was born to Steven Henry and Susie Verina (Wooley) Kirk on January 23, 1910 in Elmer. She died October 5, 2003 at Burford Manor Nursing Home, Davis.
Lovie lived her early life and attended schools in western Oklahoma. She married Luther Samuel Church. He preceded her in death. She later married Clifton Jim Petty who also preceded her in death. Lovie lived in White Settlement, Texas for over 20 years before moving to Davis in 1999. She was a member of the East Main Church of Christ.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husbands, Luther Church and Clifton Petty; one daughter, Doyce Wilson in 1990 and three brothers, Elmo, Grady and Jerry Kirk.
Survivors are one son, Terry Church and wife, Linda, Davis; step-daughter, Tonya Kaye Seale and husband, Don; two brothers, Steve Kirk and wife, Mavis, Center and Lawrence Kirk and wife, Susan, Ft. Gibson; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Kevin Johnson, Wayne Webb, Thurman Ratchford and Gene Willey.
Bonnie Sullivan Crusenberry and Harry E. "Bud" Crusenberry, Jr.
Services for Bonnie Sullivan Crusenberry, 76, and her husband, Harry E. "Bud" Crusenberry Jr., 83, Saltville, Virginia were held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, 2003 at D.R. Henderson Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Bangle officiating. Graveside services were conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday morning at Mount Rose Cemetery with military rites performed by Saltville VFW Post #7328. Services were under the direction of D.R. Henderson Funeral Home of Saltville, Va.
Bonnie and Harry died September 23, 2003 at Bristol Regional Medical Center.
Bonnie was born and raised in Sulphur. She and Harry met during World War II when he was stationed at the Ardmore Air Base. They were married by the Calvary Baptist Pastor in January, 1946. They had one daughter, Sherry, who was born in Sulphur. Later, they moved to Harry's home in Saltville, Va. Bonnie was a devoted wife and mother. Harry was a member of Saltville VFW " Hardy Roberts" Post #7328. He was an avid fisherman.
They were preceded in death by their daughter, Sherry Nipper, Bonnie's parents, Ramona Ashton Sullivan Albright and Harrol Sullivan; Bonnie's sister, Marjorie Sullivan Skidmore; Harry's parents and his two sisters.
They are survived by their son-in-law, Roger Nipper, Marion, Va.; granddaughter, Laura and husband, Jeff Peck, Derby Kan.; two great grandchildren, Sheldon and Allison Peck; cousins, David and Melva McClure and family; Lucretia McClure Thompson and her husband, Francis Thompson; several other cousins and two nieces, Martha Moore, Saltville, Va. and Melinda Haynes, Meadowview, Va.
Pallbearers were Phillip Holmes, Jeff Peck, Al Carter, Eddie Morand, Douglas Heffinger, Jerry Forrester, Jerry Catron and Harry Haynes.
Honorary Pallbearers were members of the VFW Post 7328.
Alice "Corene" Sadler
Alice "Corene" (Buffington) Sadler, 80, of Davis died Dec. 7, 2003, at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City. Services were Dec. 9 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Donald Wayne Carter and Pastor James Densman officiating. Burial will be at Green Hill Cemetery.
She was born Aug. 24, 1923, in Davis to Ruth Ann (Denham) Buffington and Stephen Arnold Douglas Buffington. Sadler grew up in the Davis area and graduated from Davis High School. She married Edward Donald Sadler on Oct. 17, 1947, at Gainesville, Texas, and he preceded her in death on March 23, 1990. Mrs. Sadler was a member of the First Baptist Church of Davis. She was also a member of the Eastern Star and a Foster Grandmother at the Davis Elementary School for many years.
She was also preceded in death by both parents; three brothers, William "Pete" Buffington, Tom Buffington and James "Bunk" Buffington, and three sisters, Lillie Taylor, Lela Healey and Hattie Johnson.
She is survived by three children, Jackie Don Sadler and Dianne Gilliland, both of Davis, and Dadriaon Donohew of Duncan; a sister, Marie Warren of Spencer; eight grandchildren, Kimberly Paige (Gibson) Lee, Scott Gibson, Joe Don Gibson, Jason, Jody and Jeremy Gilliland; Natalie (Sadler) Moss and Lincoln Tyler Derrick Sadler, and 12 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were grandsons, Scott Gibson, Joe Gibson, Jason Gilliland, Jeremy Gilliland, Jody Gilliland and Lincoln Sadler. Honorary pallbearers were David Gilliland, Bill Donohew, Paul O'Shields, Shane Moss, Natalie Moss, Kimberly Lee and Larissa Gilliland. Krien Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
J.B. Lee
Services for J.B. Lee, 73, were held Monday, Dec. 1 at 2:00 p.m. at Joy Baptist Church with Paul Countless and Clay Shannon officiating. Interment was at Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of DeArman Funeral Home, Wynnewood.
Mr. Lee was born to Henry David and Alline Martin on November 7, 1930 in Frederick. He died at Norman Regional Hospital on Nov. 26, 2003.
He graduated from Sulphur High School and joined the U. S. Air Force in 1951. He attended the University of Connecticut for additional training and was assigned to Norton AFB in San Bernardino, Calif. until his honorable discharge in 1955. He graduated from Murray State College in Tishomingo with an Associate of Science degree in Engineering. He then graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering. He moved to Illinois and worked as materials manager and manufacturing engineering manager for Allis-Chalmers in Deerfield, Ill. He moved back to Oklahoma in 1971 and worked in Tulsa for several years. In 1983 he pursued a life long dream of entering the dairy business by moving to the Chigley-Wynnewood area and enjoyed being a dairyman and farmer for the last 20 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents and step-mother, Vernie Knight Lee.

W. Josephine Beasley
Services for W. Josephine Beasley, 73, Davis, were held Wednesday, Dec. 10 at 2:00 p.m. at Clagg Funeral Chapel with Rev. Willard McCartney, Jr. officiating. Interment was at Hickory Cemetery under the direction of Clagg Funeral Home.
Josephine was born to Ernest Langford and Ester Josephine Durham October 20, 1930 at Portales, N.M. She died December 8 at Pauls Valley. She married Hubert Ray Beasley October 6, 1951 in DeQueen, Ark. He preceded her in death May 5, 1994.
She was raised in Hickory and attended Hickory school. She lived in Dougherty for 17 years and in the Chigley community for the past 15 years. She was affiliated with the Hickory Baptist Church and worked as secretary for the Dougherty School System and nurse at Callaway Nursing Home.
She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Thomas M. Adams; a brother, LeRoy Langford; and a sister, Beatrice Pettitt.
Survivors are her daughter and son-in-law, Judith and James Fixico, Choctaw; sons and daughters in law, Denver Ray and Sharon Beasley, Meeker, Ricky Lynn and Angela Beasley, Nowata, Michael and Tracy Beasley, Chigley, Mark and Sally Beasley, Sulphur, Tommie Rhinehart, Pocola, Marian Sharber, Choctaw; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Jimmy Knight, Craig Dunn, Terry Patrick, two sisters, Tommy Dilbeck and Roy Langford.
Honorary pallbearers were Jamie Fixico, Jeremy Beasley, Jacob Fixico, Shannon Beasley, Matthew Beasley, and Jeffrey Beasley.

Allie Alene Wade
Services for Allie Alene Wade, 94, Sulphur, were held Monday, Dec. 8 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Eddie Malphrus officiating. Interment was at Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Clagg Funeral Home.
Allie was born to Tom Hill and Effie Chapman Hill on December 14, 1908 in McCurtain County. She died Friday, Dec. 5 in Sulphur. She married Melvin A. Wade August 22, 1933 in Wellington, Kan. He preceded her in death August 16, 1990.
She grew up in McCurtain County and lived in the Duncan area where she graduated from High School. She graduated form Hills Business College and moved to Sulphur in the early 1950's. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and was dedicated to her Sunday School class. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Doris Ann Wade and Donna Henderson; one son, Tom Wade; two brothers, Lon and Dale Hill; and one sister, Lela Brown.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Glenda Wade, Sulphur; son, Rex Wade, Ada; sister, Joy Walker, Granbury, Texas; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers were Larry Cranford, Todd Bates, Matt Henderson, Richard Wade, David Wade and Tommy Wade.

Nova Edith Gallemore
Services for Nova Edith Gallemore, 86, Sulphur, were held Monday, Dec. 8 at 10:00 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. James Swain officiating. Interment was at Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Clagg Funeral Home.
Nova was born to George J. Little and Viola Mitchell Little on September 1, 1917 in Mill Creek. She died Friday, Dec. 5 in Sulphur. She married Forrest A. Gallemore November 29, 1934 in Sulphur. He preceded her in death January 30, 2000.
She grew up in this area and attended Hickory schools. She lived in California, Seminole and Muskogee before moving to Sulphur in 1951. She had worked at Cooper's Auto Store for several years and was affiliated with Calvary Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents, four brothers, one sister and one son-in-law, Bob Malloy.
Survivors are a daughter, Jeannie Malloy, Sulphur; a son and daughter-in-law, Dick and Marti Gallemore, Oklahoma City; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Glen E. Spears
Services for Glen E. Spears, 71, Talihina, were held Saturday, Dec. 6 at 2:00 p.m. at the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Mill Creek with Rev. Jerry George officiating. Interment was at Mill Creek Cemetery under the direction of Clagg Funeral Home.
Glen was born to John Ed "Doc" Spears and Effie Lee DeShazo Spears on Nov. 27, 1932 in Mannsville. He died Wednesday, Dec. 3 in Talihina.
He grew up in the Mannsville and Mill Creek areas. He graduated from Mill Creek High School and was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in the Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his sister and brother-in-law, Jeanie and Tim Johnson, Wichita, Kan.; four daughters and one son.
Pallbearers were Felix Sikes, Harold Garrison, Kenneth Garrison, Steve Johnson, Jerry Johnson and Don Rhodes.

Lucille G. Bell
Graveside services for Lucille G. Bell, 84, Desert Hot Springs, Calif., were held Tuesday, Nov. 25 at Lindsay-Strathmore Cemetery in Lindsay, Calif. with Pastor Roger Altermatt officiating. Services were under the direction of Web-Sanders Funeral Home of Lindsay, Calif.
Lucille was born to Hurshel and Ruby Fiskin July 27, 1919 in Higgins, Texas. She died November 17 in Rancho Mirage, Calif.
She lived about 60 years in Tulare County, Calif. She was a retired employee of Penney's Dept. Store. She moved to Sulphur in 1998 after living in Grandbury, Texas and retired from 'Lucy's Little Loft'. She moved to her son's home in Desert Hot Springs, Calif. earlier this year. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Asa Bell; and her son, Grant Bell.
Survivors are her son, Alan J. Bell, Desert Hot Springs; sisters, Jonita Beasley, Sulphur and Jerolyn Hall, Salem, Ore.; one brother, Wayne Fiskin Jr., Grants Pass Ore.; a brother-in-law and wife, Owen and Barbara Bell, Sulphur; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Phoenix Brown
Services for Phoenix Brown, 84, Tulsa, were held Tuesday, Dec. 9 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Coalgate with Rev. Matt Smith officiating. Interment was at Coalgate Cemetery under the direction of Cowley-Krien Funeral Home.
Phoenix was born to Joseph Brown and Emma Walden Brown November 19, 1919 in Kenefic. He died December 5 at Ambassador Nursing Home in Tulsa. He married Hazel Cox on May 20, 1961 in Vinita.
He was raised in the Coalgate area and moved to Okema. He was in the Civilian Conservation Corps at Sulphur and attended Murray State College in Tishomingo, Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant and Oklahoma State University in Stillwater. He moved to Pittsburg, Kan. in 1963 and was a professor at Kansas State University. He retired and moved to Vinita in 1985. He moved back to Pittsburg in 1989 and moved to Tulsa in 1994 where he lived the remainder of his life. He attended the Christian Church and also New Haven Methodist Church of Tulsa. He was a Mason and Shriner and was a member of the Kansas Teacher's Association, National Teacher's Association and the Green Country Camper's Club.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father; one sister, Ruby Crumply; three brothers, Bob Brown, Ryfus Brown and Harlan Brown.
Survivors are his wife, Hazel, Tulsa; two sons, Dewayne Brown, Visella, Calif. and Billy Ray Brown, Fresno, Calif.; five grandchildren; three brothers, Forrest Brown, Coalgate, Clarence Brown, Brentwood, Calif. and Arnel Brown, Huntsville, Ala.; five sisters, Verna Henshaw, Okema, Vada Moss, Torna, Calif., Eva Crow, Ada, Lola Conaster, Coalgate and Hazel Henshaw, Clovis, Calif.; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Pallbearers were Coalgate Masonic Lodge members.
Evelyn Joy Bruno
Services for Evelyn Joy Bruno, 69, Oklahoma City, were held Wednesday, Dec. 10 at 2:00 p.m. at Fox Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Finis Steelman officiating. Interment was at Green Hill Cemetery under the direction of Fox Funeral Home.
Evelyn was born to Edgar and Faye Young Harbinson on September 11, 1934 in Oklahoma City. She died December 7 at Deaconess Hospital in Oklahoma City.
Evelyn grew up in Oklahoma City and attended Oklahoma City schools. She lived in several areas, including Davis, before returning to Oklahoma City.
Preceding her in death were her parents.
Survivors are one daughter, Sarah Jane Synnott, Oklahoma City; two granddaughters, Gina Faye Synnott and Melissa Ruth Synnott; two great-grandchildren, Lauren Ashley Synnott and Nathan Christopher Synnott; a brother, Larry Campbell and wife, Vickie; one niece; one nephew; and several cousins.
Karen Renea Maytubby

Karen was born to Joseph Ray Brewer and Helen Lucille Rose Brewer on Wednesday, Nov. 27, 1957 in Wichita, Kan. She died Friday, Dec. 5 in Ardmore. She married Stanley Maytubby June 1, 1974 in Mill Creek.
She moved to Mill Creek as a child and attended Mill Creek schools. She lived in Love Grove for the past few years. She was affiliated with Bethel Assembly of God Church and worked as a manager.
Preceding her in death were her mother and one child.
Survivors are her husband; daughter and son-in-law, Cassandria and Kevin Carter, Ardmore; a son and daughter-in-law, Shon and Debbie Maytubby, Ardmore; her father and step-mother, Ray and Doris Brewer, Sulphur; a brother, Ed Henley, Wichita Falls, Texas; a sister, Alandra Needham, Dallas, Texas; one grandchild, Brooklin Maytubby and three step-grandchildren, Catelyn, Kayla and Kyle Oliver.

Effie was born to Preston H. Hughes and Annie V. Clement Hughes on August 8, 1915 at Dolberg. She died December 9 at Pauls Valley. She married Gould Holder March 3, 1934 in Sulphur. He preceded her in death March 17, 1972.
She grew up in the Dolberg and Roff areas and attended school at Dolberg. She lived in the Mill Creek area most of her adult life and was a housewife. She was affiliated with the Mill Creek Pentecostal Holiness Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband; four brothers; and one sister.
Survivors are her daughter, Ailene Ferguson, Oklahoma City; son, George Holder, Mill Creek; grandchild, Jay Taylor; great-grandchildren, Makenzi Taylor and Amber Ferguson; great-great-grandchild, Elijah Ferguson; three brothers, Dan Hughes, Pete Hughes and Rocky Hughes, all of Sulphur; two sisters, Dorothy J. Pruitt, Stratford and Ruby Whetsel, Clovis, Calif.
