Jimmy Lewis "Jim" Watts
Jimmy "Jim" Lewis Watts, 62, of Davis, died Oct. 4, 2003 at Mercy Memorial Hospital in Ardmore. Funeral services are Wednesday (today) at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church with Pastor James Densman officiating. Burial will be in Drake Cemetery, Nebo.
He was born Sept. 28, 1941, to Owen Lewis Watts and Naomah Lucille Mann. He went to school in Sulphur and moved to Davis 15 years ago. He worked in the oilfield and concrete business for 17 years. Watts was a member of the Church of Christ of Davis. He is survived by: his wife, Lula, of the home; a son, Terry Groover; two daughters, Shiela Brown and Gaylene Wallace; a brother, Dennis Watts, and a sister, Alene Casey.
He was preceded in death by: both parents, a son, Mike Davis, adaughter, Penni Watts, and a brother, Larry Watts. Krien Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
John Wesley "Wes" Rogers Jr.
John Wesley "Wes" Rogers Jr., 46, of Davis died Oct. 4, 2003, at Mercy Memorial Hospital in Oklahoma City. Graveside services were held Monday, Oct. 6, at 2 p.m. at Green Hill Cemetery, with Bro. Gary Fielding and Dan Rogers officiating.
He was born June 9, 1957, in Wynnewood to Ina Bell "Nancy" (Warren) and John Wesley "Dick" Rogers Sr. He graduated from Davis High School in 1975 and attended the University of Oklahoma. He worked in the oil field for several years. He married Jackie LeAnn Crawford on June 14, 1982, in Gainesville, Texas. He was employed the past 12 years with the Oklahoma Baptist Association, working at Falls Creek. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Wayne "Turkey" Rogers.
He is survived by: his wife of the home; a son, John Wesley "J.W." Rogers III and a daughter, Sarah DeAnn Rogers, both of the home; his mother of Davis; a brother, Eldon Rogers of Moore and a sister, Diane Paredez of Deer Park, Texas. Pallbearers were Gary Warren, Chad Fielding, Charles Matlock, Kenny Hudson, Rhett Hale and Sam Snyder. Honorary pallbearers were Zeke Genn and Guy Waters. Krien Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Lyndal "Bill" Harris Spicer
Services for Lyndal "Bill" Harris Spicer, 83, were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Cowley-Krien Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Eddie Malphrus and the Rev. Danny Alexander officiating. Interment followed at Green Hill Cemetery, Davis.
Born June 22, 1920, in Ada to Cecil Leonis and Iola Jeff McCurty Spicer, he died September 28, 2003, at Arbuckle Memorial Hospital in Sulphur. He was preceded in death by his mother, father and a sister, Betty Francis Anderson.
He married Betty Fields on January 5, 1960, at Davis.
Born in Ada, he lived in Fairfax and Stillwell before moving to Sulphur in 1939. He was a U.S. Army veteran stationed in Iceland and served in World War II. He was a dairyman, farmer and worked summers at the Chickasaw National Recreation Area. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Betty, of the home; a son, James Fields Spicer and his wife, Jenny Rebecca, Davis; and a sister, Pat Lawson, Wagoner.
Bearers were Richard Mize, Phillip Arms, Butch Hill, Alan Frazier, Jason Keck and Don Keck. Honorary bearers were Noel Peebler, Jimmy Frazier, Leon Blagg, Don Mize, Steve Freeman and Kenneth Binderim.
Gretna Kaye (Mann) Mills
Services for Gretna Mills, 55, Tulsa, were held Monday, Sept. 29, 2003 at 3:00 p.m. at Mobley -Dodson Funeral Chapel in Sand Springs with the Rev. Edward Zickefoose officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of the Mobley-Dodson Funeral Services.
Gretna was the daughter of Billie Mann and the late Roy Mann and was born January 21, 1948 in McAlester. She died in her home Thursday, Sept. 25, 2003.
She grew up in Sulphur and graduated from Sulphur High School where she was a cheerleader and class officer. She moved to Tulsa in 1981 from Mannford. She attended cosmetology school in Ardmore and then opened her own beauty shop in Sulphur. She later married Mike Copenhaver and moved to Oklahoma City and then on to Tulsa. She married Gaylon Mills on September 23, 1983. She had just celebrated her 20th year anniversary. Gretna had been employed with Tonis Flower Shop in Tulsa for the past eight years. She loved gardening, painting, music and writing.
She was preceded in death by her father.
She is survived by her husband, Gaylon Mills, Tulsa; her mother, Billie Mann, Sulphur; her brother, Keith Mann and sister-in-law, Jana Mann, Sulphur; two daughters, Staci Copenhaver, Sand Springs and DeLinda "Pebbles" Minyen and her husband, Joe Minyen, Sulphur; two step daughters, Jodi Mays and husband, Mike, Bartlesville and Maggie Mills, Smayrna, Georgia and a step-son, Dale Mills and wife, Amy, Mannford; seven grandchildren including Sarah and Kevin Minyen, Sulphur and many nieces and nephews.
Lovie Irene Petty
Services for Lovie Irene Petty, 93, Davis, were held Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2003 at 10:00 AM at the East Main Church of Christ of Davis with Dwight Brown officiating. Interment was at Greenwood Memorial Park Cemetery, Fort Worth, Texas at 3:00 p.m. under the direction of Fox Funeral Home.
Lovie was born to Steven Henry and Susie Verina (Wooley) Kirk on January 23, 1910 in Elmer. She died October 5, 2003 at Burford Manor Nursing Home, Davis.
Lovie lived her early life and attended schools in western Oklahoma. She married Luther Samuel Church. He preceded her in death. She later married Clifton Jim Petty who also preceded her in death. Lovie lived in White Settlement, Texas for over 20 years before moving to Davis in 1999. She was a member of the East Main Church of Christ.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husbands, Luther Church and Clifton Petty; one daughter, Doyce Wilson in 1990 and three brothers, Elmo, Grady and Jerry Kirk.
Survivors are one son, Terry Church and wife, Linda, Davis; step-daughter, Tonya Kaye Seale and husband, Don; two brothers, Steve Kirk and wife, Mavis, Center and Lawrence Kirk and wife, Susan, Ft. Gibson; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Kevin Johnson, Wayne Webb, Thurman Ratchford and Gene Willey.
Bonnie Sullivan Crusenberry and Harry E. "Bud" Crusenberry, Jr.
Services for Bonnie Sullivan Crusenberry, 76, and her husband, Harry E. "Bud" Crusenberry Jr., 83, Saltville, Virginia were held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, 2003 at D.R. Henderson Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Bangle officiating. Graveside services were conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday morning at Mount Rose Cemetery with military rites performed by Saltville VFW Post #7328. Services were under the direction of D.R. Henderson Funeral Home of Saltville, Va.
Bonnie and Harry died September 23, 2003 at Bristol Regional Medical Center.
Bonnie was born and raised in Sulphur. She and Harry met during World War II when he was stationed at the Ardmore Air Base. They were married by the Calvary Baptist Pastor in January, 1946. They had one daughter, Sherry, who was born in Sulphur. Later, they moved to Harry's home in Saltville, Va. Bonnie was a devoted wife and mother. Harry was a member of Saltville VFW " Hardy Roberts" Post #7328. He was an avid fisherman.
They were preceded in death by their daughter, Sherry Nipper, Bonnie's parents, Ramona Ashton Sullivan Albright and Harrol Sullivan; Bonnie's sister, Marjorie Sullivan Skidmore; Harry's parents and his two sisters.
They are survived by their son-in-law, Roger Nipper, Marion, Va.; granddaughter, Laura and husband, Jeff Peck, Derby Kan.; two great grandchildren, Sheldon and Allison Peck; cousins, David and Melva McClure and family; Lucretia McClure Thompson and her husband, Francis Thompson; several other cousins and two nieces, Martha Moore, Saltville, Va. and Melinda Haynes, Meadowview, Va.
Pallbearers were Phillip Holmes, Jeff Peck, Al Carter, Eddie Morand, Douglas Heffinger, Jerry Forrester, Jerry Catron and Harry Haynes.
Honorary Pallbearers were members of the VFW Post 7328.
Allen John Oliver
Services for Allen John Oliver, 88, Wynnewood were held Monday, April 5, at 10:00 a.m. at the DeArman Funeral Home chapel in with Bro. Jason Bentley officiating. Intermet was in Oaklawn Cemetery, Wynnewood with DeArman Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Born May 24, 1915 in Shannon Mississippi to Elvin and Nannie Oliver, he died Friday, April 2 at his home.
He came to Wynnewood with his family at an early age. He married Avanell Earnhart in August, 1951. He was a World War II veteran and lived and worked in San Francisco, retiring in 1978 and moving back to Wynnewood. He enjoyed working and taking care of his home and fishing in his pond. He also enjoyed traveling to Mexico where his nephew, Granville Young, had a fishing resort.
He is survived by his wife, of the home; two grandsons, Kevin and David Marsh, Australia; one great grandson; five great granddaughters and a host of relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Dorena Young and Rosie Machette and four brothers, Thurston, Bill, E. G. and Coyt Oliver.
Pallbearers were Charlie Pope, Winfred Knighten, Rich Oliver, Jimmy Cobb, Johnnie Mack Grimes and Don Young.
William Theodore (Terry) Carter III
Services for William Theodore (Terry) Carter III, 49, Wilburton, were held Monday, April 5 at 2:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Davis with Rev. Wayne Loften officiating. Interment was in Green Hill Cemetery with Waldrop Funeral Home, Wilburton, officiating assisted by Krien Funeral Home of Davis.
Born November 11, 1954 in Wynnewood to William Theodore Jr. and Leta Oakley Carter, he died Wednesday, March 31 in McAlester.
He married Belinda Mckee on October 21, 1979 in Casper, Wyo. He worked for many years in the oil fields.
He is survived by his wife, of the home; a son, William Theodore Carter IV, Albuquerque, N.M.; his mother, Leta Cater, Davis; a sister, Joy Reynolds, Gillette, Wyo. and a brother, Scott Carter, Albuquerque, N.M.
He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents; a brother-in-law, Walter Wood, and a great nephew, Dante Wood.
Pallbearers were Kyle Wood, Phil Hatzenbeuhler, Scott Allen, Michael Anderson, Rodney Campbell, Travis Powell, Bobby Grossnicklauf and Jeremy Williams.
John Butler Miller
Services for John Butler Miller, 68, Las Vegas, Nev. were held Wednesday, April 7 at 2:00 p.m. at the Church of Christ in Stratford with John Miller officiating. Interment was in Oaklawn Cemetery, Sulphur with Pickard Funeral Home officiating.
Born January 10, 1936, in Roff, Mr. Miller died Thursday, April 1 in Las Vegas.
He married Merilyn Graco Clark in 1961. He was a customer service manager for a telephone company and had lived in Las Vegas since 1961. He was preceded in death by his wife, Merilyn, in 2001; a sister, Vera Jones in 2002 and his parents, John and Mary Miller.
Surviving are a son and his wife, John B. and Bonnie Miller, Princeton, N.J.; a sister and her husband, Betty and Truman Harris, Stratford; one granddaughter, Kate Miller and one grandson, John C. Miller.
Pallbearers were Davis Crisp, Lewis Perry, Dixie Sumner, Doyle Sharber, J. C. Grantham and Raymond Henagar.
Mark Steven Hotopp
Services for Mark Steven Hotopp, 55, Ft. Worth, Texas will be held Saturday, April 10 at Arlington Heights United Methodist Church with Greenwood Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Interment will be in Drake Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Greenwood Funeral Home, 3100 White Settlement Road, Ft. Worth.
Born May 23, 1948 in Ft. Worth to, he died Sunday, April 4 in Ft. Worth.
He was past president of the Downtown Kiwanis Club and was a scoutmaster for BSA Troop 143 for the past 12 years. He was involved in Scouting at the district leveal and was chairman of the Advancement Committee at the time of his death. He was a recipient of the Silver Beaver Award and a James West Fellow. He was associated with Flamingo Pools since 1969. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Housewright and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Hotopp, Sr.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Merry Williams Hotopp; a daughter, Erica Hotopp Thorne and her husband, Brian; a son, Matthew Rhodes Hotopp; grandchildren, Emalith Hotopp and Tathan Thorne; a sister, Lisa Ann Fox and her husband, Michael; his parents, E. F. "Buddy" Hotopp and Ann Housewright Hotopp and his mother-in-law, Grace Brewer, Sulphur.

Doris Ann Watson
Services for Doris Ann Watson, 62, Dougherty, will be held Friday, April 9 at 2:00 p.m. at the Dougherty Baptist Church with Rev. Williard McCartney, Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Dougherty Cemetery with Clagg Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Born February 18, 1942 to Owen Watson and Tommie McDaniel Watson in Morenzi, Ariz., she died Tuesday, April 6, in Sulphur. A homemaker, she married Larry Gene Watson on Oct. 28, 1970 in Ardmore. He preceded her in death on July 8, 1991. She lived in Dougherty most of her life. She graduated from Dougherty High School and was a member of the Dougherty Baptist Church but was attending the Midway Hill Baptist Church.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Jill and Roger Weldon, Dougherty; a son, Ross Watson, Dougherty; two grandchildren, Cameron Weldon and Makayla Weldon and her best friend, Loretta Mattingley, Dougherty.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Shirley Watson.
Pallbearers were Eddie Mosley, Joel Mann, Joe Mann, Ray Beal, Douglas Akers and Ronnie Baugh.
Dale Pritchard
Graveside services for Dale Pritchard, 73, were held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 5 at Dolberg Cemetery with DeArman Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Born October 21, 1930 in Oklahoma City to Forest and Bertha Allen Pritchard , he died April 1, 2004 in Oklahoma City after a long illness.
He married Ruth Castleberry on December 16, 1967 in Pauls Valley. He was a retired construction company worker and purchased the Hammett Grovery business, north of Sulphur on U.S. 177 in 1971. The couple operated the business until they both retired in 1998.
A hard worker who loved to stay busy, he enjoyed going to yard sales, playing bingo and eating out with his friends.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth, of the home; two sons, Dale Pritchard, Jr., Zula, Washington and Larry Dale Pritchard, Las Vegas, Nev.; a brother-in-law, Sonny Castleberry and his wife, Leta and a sister-in-law, Mary Maddox, all of Sulphur.
He was preceded in death by a son, Steven Prichard; his parents and a sister.
Pallbearers were Bart Castleberry, Tim Collins, Thomas Gordon, Craig Billings, Bob Roberson and Tony Roberson.
Jose Celso Hernandez
Graveside services for Jose Celso Hernandez, 86, Sulphur, were held Friday, April 2 at 10:00 a.m. at Oaklawn Cemetery in Sulphur with Rev. Bill Leveridge officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Clagg Funeral Home.
Born March 4, 1918 in San Antonio, Texas, he died March 29 in Oklahoma City.
He had lived in Sulphur the past few years and was a veteran of World War II in the Army. He was of the Catholic faith and had worked as a pastry chief.
He had no known survivors.
Lillian Belle Fuller
Services for Lillian Belle Fuller, 97, Davis were held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 29 at Midway Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Williard McCartney, Jr. officiating. Interment was in Sunnylane Cemetery in Del City with Cowley-Krien Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Born November 15, 1906 in Prague to Jim and Flora Williams Burnside, she died Tuesday, March 27 in Burford Manor Nursing Home in Davis.
She married Charles Fuller on April 25, 1936 in Prague. He preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were her mother; one brother, Luther Burnside; a step-son, Charles Fuller, Jr. and a step-daughter, Addie Fuller.
She was born and raised in Prague and later moved to Oklahoma City where she lived and raised her family. She moved to Sulphur in 1989 where she lived the remainder of her life.
Surviving are two daughters, Lillian Hawkins and her husband, Warren, Sulphur and Jimmie McLane Castro and her husband, Paul, Oklahoma City; four grandchildren, Dena Palenske, Dana Hawkins Sparks, Chirlyn McLane and Angela Schuler and seven great-grandchildren.
Parker Shay Noland
A private family graveside service was held at 10:00 a.m. at Swan Hill Cemetery, Ada on Tuesday, April 6 for Parker Shay Noland, infant daughter of Micah and Chrissy Noland, Davis. Arrangements were made under the direction of Krien Funeral Home of Davis.
Born on April 3, 2004 at Oklahoma University Medical Center in Oklahoma City, she died the same day.
She is survived by the parents, of the home; grandparents, Larry and Trish Miller, Ada and Jim and Julie Noland, Davis and Marilyn Cleveland, Edmond; great grandparents, Virgil and Martha Miller, Vanoss, Laverne Collins, Ada, Dale and Velma Noland, Davis and a great-grandfather, J. E. Cleveland, Sulphur.
She was preceded in death by great grandparents, Herman Collins and Letha Cleveland.
Doris Orleen Washington
Services for Doris Orleen Washington, 79, Maude, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 8 at the Cowley-Krien Funeral Home Chapel in Sulphur with Rev. Williard McCartney, Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Dougherty Cemetery.
Born December 3, 1924 in Prague to Wesley and Francis Sykora Pechacek, she died Sunday, April 4 in a Seminole hospital.
She married James B. Washington on May 3, 1952 in Prague. She was preceded in death by her mother and father; one brother and one sister.
She was raised in Prague where she graduated from high school. She attended Draughan's Business School in Tulsa then moved to Oklahoma City. She lived, worked and raised her family in Oklahoma City, retiring in 1982. She then moved to the Arbuckle Lake area where she lived the remainder of her life.
Surviving are one son, James Washington, Sulphur; one daughter, Cheryl Washington, Maude; one grandson, George Bailey Washington, Sulphur; two brothers, Charles Pechacek, Seminole and Joe Pechacek, Houston, Texas; three sisters, Laura Bell Varner, Oklahoma City, Betty Seabeck, Wellston and Mary Frances Ainsworth, Oklahoma City.
Pallbearers will be Willie Ferguson, Chuck Belleville, Tommy Pacheack, Peter Pacheack, Marvin Ainsworth, Chuck Fawcett, Roger Fawcett and Larry Seebeck. Honorary bearer will be Darin Rogers.
Dennis Beavert
Services for Gary Dennis Beavert, 57, Sulphur, were held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 29, 2004, at Vinita Avenue Church of Christ in Sulphur with Tom Byrd officiating. Burial followed at Box X Cemetery under the direction of Criswell Funeral Home.
Mr. Beavert died Thursday, May 27, 2004 at an Oklahoma City hospital. He was born March 10, 1947, in Benton, Ark. to Carlos Chastain and Marie McClane Beavert. He graduated from Benton High School in 1965. He attended the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, and Oklahoma Christian University.
Mr. Beavert worked in the Security Department at the Oklahoma School for the Deaf in Sulphur. He was a member of Vinita Avenue Church of Christ in Sulphur.
He married Linda Cantrell on September 30, 1967, in Benton, Ark.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Beavert, of the home; two sons, Richard Dan Beavert and wife, Frances, Houston, Texas and Don Andrew Beavert, Midwest City; one sister, Gail Bieber, Morristown, Tenn. and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Dwight Beavert and Phil Beavert.
Pallbearers were Gary Mink, Gary Allmon, Rick Kesler, Dave Hughes, Mike McCracken, Les Claggett and Louis Coberly.

Theresa Parenti
Theresa Parenti, 69, of Davis, died May 28, 2004, at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City. Graveside services were June 1 at Green Hill Cemetery, Davis, with the Rev. Finis Steelman officiating
Ms. Parenti was born July 11, 1934, in Elmore City to Ramona Bernyce (Bradley) and Harvey Austin Neal. Ms. Parenti grew up in Elmore City, where she graduated from high school. She moved to Davis in 1960 and had lived in Davis and Sulphur for the past 44 years. She began her own business in 1976, established under the name of "77 Grill," which she owned and operated until her retirement in 1989. Ms. Parenti was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sulphur and Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by both parents and a brother, Don Neal.
She is survived by five children, Randy Gibson, Henderson, Nev., and Anthony Parenti, Ramona Nanney and Shelly Hicks, all of Sulphur, and Kay Vernon, Davis; two brothers, Danny Neal, Liberal, Kan., and Sherrill Neal, Bentonville, Ark.; a sister, Beverly Mackey, Pauls Valley, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Services were under the direction of Krien Funeral Home.
Bobby Eugene Jeter
Services for Bobby Eugene Jeter, 46, were held Saturday, May 29, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at Fox Funeral Chapel with Rev. Randy Chapman officiating. Interment was at Green Hill Cemetery under the direction of Fox Funeral Home.
Mr. Jeter was born September 27, 1957 in Wynnewood to Lee Roy and Olga (Arnold) Jeter. He died May, 26, 2004 in Davis.
He lived in this area all his life. He graduated from Davis High School and attended Mid-America Vo-tech and Murray State College to obtain his nursing license. He worked at Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City and then at Mercy Memorial Health Center in Ardmore for over 18 years.
He is survived by his parents, LeeRoy and Olga (Arnold) Jeter, Davis; a sister Anita Eddy, Sulphur and a brother Rocky Jeter, Davis.
Pallbearers were Joe Eddy, Jr., Jimmy Jeter, Sam Johnson, Curtis Jones, Jeremy Eddy and Jerry Elliot. Honorary bearers were Kenneth Jeter and Royce Dale Jones.
Lois Rachel Windham
Services for Lois Rachel Windham, 79, were held Thursday, May 27 at 10:00 a.m. at Immanuel Baptist Church of Davis with Rev. Randy Chapman officiating. Interment was at Green Hill Cemetery under the direction of Fox Funeral Home.
She was born on September 2, 1924 in Bowie, Texas. She died May 24, 2004 in Sulphur. On February 13, 1958 she married Gayle Windham in Gainesville, Texas. He preceded her in death on September 25, 1996.
Lois lived in the Davis area her entire life and graduated from Davis High School. She worked at Sulphur Veterans Center for 26 years where she was chief of food services when she retired in 1983. She was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Dorsie Tice, Ardmore and Clynell Freeman, Nicoma Park; two sons, Raymond McLaughlin, Norman and Jack Windham, Davis; three brothers, Leo Hignight, El Centro, Calif., Roy Hignight, Whitter, Texas and John Hignight, Oceanside, Calif.; 15 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren and special friend, Justin Rogalla. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Julia Mae George, Mary Pearl Profitt and Freddy Lor Hammon and one brother, Bobby George Hignight.
Pallbearers were John Powell, George Lee, Clifton LaNoy, Royce Jones, Jack Wright and Wayne Clemons. Honorary bearers were George Cross, Don Davis, P.D. Kiser, and Dave Winters.
Steven Paul Daugherty
Services for Steven Paul Daugherty, 42, were held Saturday, May 29, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at the Dougherty Baptist Church with Rev. Allen Richardson officiating. Interment was at Dougherty Cemetery under the direction of Fox Funeral Home.
Mr. Daugherty was born December 30, 1961 in Sulphur to Billy Joe Daugherty and Margaret (Ramage) Daugherty. He died on May 26, 2004 in Pauls Valley.
He lived his early life in the Sulphur and Dougherty areas and has lived in Pauls Valley since the age of six.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Margaret and Doug Akers, Dougherty, a brother Bryan Keith Daugherty, Davis and a sister, Jo Lynn Tigert, Sulphur.
Pallbearers were Monte Lucas, Terry Todd, David Billy, Monte Billy, Scott White and Kevin Sprague.
Dixie Mildred Williams
Services for Dixie Mildred Williams, 86, were held Wednesday, June 2, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at the Sulphur United Methodist Church with Rev. Emery Mason officiating. Interment was at Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Clagg Funeral Home.
Mrs. Williams was born July 30, 1917 in Marlow to A.V. and Bertha (Gordon) Williams. She died May 29, 2004 in Muskogee. She married Mace Williams in Duncan in 1939.
She grew up in the Rush Springs area, graduating from high school there. She attended Cameron College before moving to Sulphur. She earned her teaching degree and taught many years in Sulphur. She was a member of the Sulphur United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Mace Williams, Muskogee; daughter, Sally Bufkin, Louisville, Ky.; a son and daughter-in-law, Gene and Trudy Williams, Muskogee; a brother Ok. G. Williams, Dallas, Texas; brothers and sister-in-laws, Al and Jane Williams, Woodward and Jim and Liliana Williams, Houston, Texas; sisters, Lahoma Grunewald, Woodward and Donna Crane, Tulsa; six grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Jeffrie Joe Williams; two sisters, Patricia Hendren and Doris Baransy; a brother, Joe Williams; great grandson, Benjamin Mace Williams and son-in-law, Ron Bufkin.
Annie Laurie Gross
Services are pending at Demuth Funeral Home in Oklahoma City for Annie Laurie Gross, 84. Born May 5, 1920 in Hugo to Jack and Mattie Belle Nowlin, she grew up in Sulpur where she made many long time friends. She is survived by a daughter, Sherrod Meyer, Tuttle and a son, Dr. James Bennett Gross, Denton, Texas.
