RACHEL KAISER
DUNCAN — Services for Rachel Alice Coffey Kaiser, 76, Duncan, were 1 p.m. Saturday at Duncan First Baptist Church Auditorium, the Revs. Randy Southerland and Billy Morgan officiated. Burial followed at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Kaiser died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2004, at her home. She was born Aug. 7, 1928, at Byng to Emmitt and Selah Alice Dunham Coffey.

Mrs. Kaiser served for 30 years as deputy clerk for the county treasurer’s office in both Stephens and Pontotoc counties. She married Joe Kaiser April 16, 1955, at Ada.

She has been a member of Immanuel Baptist Church since 1964.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Harley Coffey; and a sister, Naomi Kaiser.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Nancy Riddle and husband Charley, Duncan; a son, Jody Eppler, McKinney, Texas; a brother, Emmitt Truman Coffey, Stonewall; two sisters, Dorothy Coffey, Ada, and Joyce Davis, Oklahoma City; and three grandchildren, Chad Riddles, Oklahoma City, and Stephen and Kristen Eppler, McKinney, Texas.

REX GRAY
STRATFORD — Graveside services for Rex Gray, 57, Stratford, are 10 a.m. Tuesday at McGee Cemetery in Stratford, the Rev. William Bratcher officiating.

Mr. Gray died Nov. 28, 2004, at a local nursing facility. He was born Dec. 28, 1946, at Stratford to James Barney and Myrtle May Mercer Gray.

He was a lifelong resident of Stratford and attended Stratford schools. He was a tractor mechanic and attended Free Will Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, J.B. Gray Jr. and George Gray.

Survivors include five brothers, Gus Gray, Joe Gray, Jake Gray, G.R. Gray, Baxter Gray and wife Patsy, all of Stratford; a sister, Bess Swallow, Stratford; and several nieces and nephews.

Donations may be made to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation for Cancer Research, 825 N.E. 13th St., Oklahoma City, OK 73104-5097.

ARDMORE — Services for Leldon J. Miller, 78, Ardmore, are pending with Criswell Funeral Home, Ada.

Mr. Miller died Nov. 28, 2004, at an Ardmore hospital.

STONEWALL — Services for Debra Kay Egger, 50, Stonewall, are 2 p.m. Monday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Wilma Ledbetter will officiate. Burial will follow at Jesse Cemetery.

Mrs. Egger died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2004, at a local hospital. She was born March 29, 1954, at Ada to Charles and Reba Lafevers Blevens. She attended school at Stonewall and graduated from Quartz Hill High School in Quartz Hill, California. She returned to this area in 1997 from Arlington, Wash..

She married Stanley Egger in March 1982 in Renton, Wash.. Mrs. Egger was employed with Boeing Company in Seattle, Wash., later with Solo Cup Company of Ada and also the Malt Shop in Stonewall. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include her husband, Stanley Egger, of the home; two sons, Ross J. Costa, Ada and Jeff Egger, Seattle, Wash.; one daughter, Kendra Armbruster, Stonewall; her mother and step-father, Reba and William Scribner, Stonewall; three grandchildren, Ross J. Costa Jr., Seattle, Wash., Chandler Ryan Costa, Lula, and Alden Blake Armbruster, Stonewall; three aunts, Wanda Walkup, Ada, Linda Massey, Stonewall, and Jeanette Lafevers, McAllen, Texas; and an uncle, Gary Lafevers, McAllen, Texas.

Bearers are Troy Dame, George Phillips, Jeff O’Dell, Bob Raines, Mike Knapp and Randall Lafevers.

ADA — Memorial services for Charles Wayne “Chuck” Carsten, 58, Ada, are 4 p.m. Monday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Ray Ackerman officiating.

Mr. Carsten died Thursday, Nov. 25, 2004, at his home. He was born April 3, 1946, at Shawnee. He graduated from Odessa Permian High School in 1964.

Mr. Carsten married Domenica Marie Maffeo. She died Sept. 11, 2003. He was a machinist with Flex-N-Gate in Ada until his retirement. Mr. Carsten was a Baptist.

Survivors include his mother, Jeanne Taylor, Tecumseh; one son, Charles Michael Carsten, Riverside, Calif.; three daughters, Tamara Jean White, Minnesota, Karen Carsten, Oregon and Jeanette Carsten, Oregon; seven grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father.

The family says those who wish may make memorials to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation for Cancer Research, 825 NE 13th Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73104-5097 or the American Cancer Society, Memorial Program, Heartland Division, 4323 NW 63rd Street, Suite 110, Oklahoma City, OK 73116-1513.

ALLEN — Services for Lucille Douglas West, 87, Allen, are 2 p.m. Monday at the Allen Church of Christ, Jack Way and Keith Warren will officiate. Burial will follow at Allen Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the Allen Chapel from 2 p.m. Sunday until service time.

Mrs. West died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2004, at a local hospital. She was born Nov. 28, 1916, at Citra, Okla., to Samuel and Annie Black Douglas.

She was a lifelong resident of this area. She graduated from Atwood High School and attended East Central University where she received a bachelor of arts degree and a master’s degree in education.

She married Kenneth West Feb. 13, 1943, in McAlester. He died Oct. 2, 2002, in Allen. They were married 61 years.

Mrs. West was a school teacher and retired from the Allen School System with 41 years of teaching service. She was a member of the Allen Church of Christ and a member of the Pontotoc County Retired Teachers Association.

Survivors include a son, Bob Gadberry and wife Reta, Ennis, Texas; a daughter, Paula Erickson, Allen; six grandchildren, Douglas Gadberry and wife Patti, Fort Worth, Texas, Darrell Gadberry, Burleson, Texas, Derrick Gadberry and wife Sabre, Norman; Mike Erickson and wife Starla, Ada, Traci Tatum, Allen, and Jason Erickson and wife Jane, Allen; 15 great grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter; two brothers, Kenneth Douglas and wife Louella, Holdenville, Clifford Douglas and wife Alice, Natchez, Miss.; and one sister, Jean Cargill and husband Curt, Uvalde, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 10 brothers and sisters, and a great grandson, Paul Michael Tatum.

Bearers are Phillip Legg, Don Wallis, Terry Janda, Kenny Nickell, David Baber and Kenneth Borders. Honorary bearers will be former students of Mrs. West.

MIDLAND, Texas — Services for Jacquelyn Bickham Murphy Hawley, 68, Midland, are 9 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church, Midland, Dr. Gary Dyer officiating. There will also be a funeral service at 2 p.m. Tuesday, at the First Baptist Church, Ada, Okla. Burial follows at Memorial Park Cemetery in Ada. Visitation is from 6-8 p.m., today, at Ellis Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hawley died Friday, Nov. 26, 2004, at Midland. She was born March 10, 1936, in Ada, to Jack and Delia Bickham.

She attended high school in Alvin, Texas, and after graduating attended Baylor University. She married Glenn Hawley March 31, 1995, at New Braunfels, Texas.

Mrs. Hawley was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, Glenn Hawley of the home; five daughters, Vikki Naylor and husband Gary, Kandi Dakil, Dee Dee Neal and husband Alan, Erica Haro and husband Josh, and Angie Neatherlin Fields; two stepdaughters, Kathy Becher and husband Tom, and Ann Glaser and husband Dan; a stepson, Roger Hawley; 14 grandchildren, Kanji Dee Naylor, David, Brittany and Dylan Dakil, Joshua Haro, Jeff Votaw, Anna Neal, Adam Votaw, Ashley Neal, Alaina Watters, Haley Hunt, Jeremy Sessions, Josh Fields and Jaxon Fields; three step-grandchildren Dana Nicole Becher, Courtney and Ryan Glaser; a brother, Gordon Calvin Bickham and wife Doris; numerous nieces and nephews, to include Ava Lehman and Phil Foster, Gaye Markowitz and husband Paul, and Robyn Stover and husband Robert; and ex-husband, Gerald L. Murphy.
