SULPHUR — Services for Charley Euell White, 88, Sulphur, are 10 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church of Sulphur. Burial follows in Oaklawn Cemetery.

Mr. White died Aug. 6, 2005, at a Sulphur hospital.

ARVEL SNOW SR.

ALLEN — Services for Arvel “Son” Snow, Sr., 87, Allen, are 2 p.m. Friday at the Richmond Avenue Free Will Baptist Church, the Rev. Buddy Drake officiating. Burial follows at Allen Cemetery. Family and friends may call at Criswell Chapel at Allen from noon Thursday until service time Friday.

Mr. Snow died Oct. 17, 2005, at a Holdenville hospital. He was born June 24, 1918, at Pickens, to Marcus Lee and Cora Ethel Hollingsworth Snow. He attended school at Peacock, Texas.

Mr. Snow married Martha Mae Davis Aug. 16, 1946, at Paris, Texas. She died Feb. 25, 1991. Mr. and Mrs. Snow moved to California and worked for his uncle moving houses. After the birth of their first daughter, they moved back to Oklahoma where he was employed at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma City, until his retirement. In 1979, they moved to Allen, where he was employed in the oilfield and raised cattle. Mr. Snow was a member of the Masonic Lodge at Allen for 48 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Odell Snow; and two sisters, Ellene Snow Ward and Verna Snow Derdivanis.

Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Snow Barksdale, of the home; a son, Arvel Lee Snow Jr. and wife Francis, Konawa; three sisters, Dewrell “Dood” Snow Speck and husband Bill, Aspermont, Texas, Wilma Snow Dudley and husband John, Rice, Wash., and Reba Jarvis of Mountain View; three brothers, Marcus Lee “June” Snow, Jr. and wife Carma, Oklahoma City, Gayland “Babe” Snow and wife Marlene, Lathrop, Calif., and Delter Ray “Joe” Snow and wife Jackie, Selma, Calif.; a sister-in-law, Deloyce Snow, Oklahoma City; three granddaughters, Kim Shed and husband Jesse, Tonya Shed and husband Billy and Ginger Stephens, all of Allen; one step granddaughter, Tiffany Barksdale Klemme; two grandsons, Arvel Lee Snow III and wife Serena and Timothy Snow and wife Keri, both of Konawa; five great-grandchildren, Taylor Stephens, Tanner Sims, Hayden Wheeler, Kalee Shed and Jessica Shed, all of Allen, Dillon Snow, Zachary Snow, Brooke Snow, Katy Snow and Abby Snow, all of Konawa; three step great-grandchildren, Davyn, Kelsey and Dakota Klemme, Iowa; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

Bearers are James Ogle, Jeremy Boolin, Billy Shed, Jesse Shed, Hayden Wheeler and Jason Erickson.

Honorary bearers are Leonard Iker, Ira Iker, Elmo Cross, Herb Davis, Gene Prentice, Benny Prentice and Robert Hammonds.

ENID — Graveside services for Gregory Townsend Hurst, 58, Enid, are 10 a.m. Thursday at Enid Cemetery, the Rev. Alan Scibel officiating.

Mr. Hurst died Oct. 17, 2005, at Enid. He was born March 17, 1947, at Enid, to Jimmy B. Sr. and Marguerite Townsend Hurst. He graduated from Enid High School where he was active in sports. He also attended Cameron College and Phillips University. He lived in Enid all of his life. He married Paula Ann Cass. He sold cars at several dealerships throughout the years, and was also a pilot. He was a member of the Enid Ambucs, the Enid Corvette Club and a member of Davis Park Christian Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Jimmy Hurst Jr.

Survivors include his wife, Paula; two daughters, Lori Calhoun and Kim Hurst, both of Ohio; a stepdaughter, Tricia White, Texas; two sons-in-law, Eugene Calhoun and Christ White; six grandchildren, Latisha Carr, Nicole Richmond, Leilami Stringer, Kristofer Calhoun, Colin White and Cass White.

TISHOMINGO — Graveside services for Versa L. Smith, 98, Tishomingo, are 2 p.m. Friday at Tishomingo Cemetery. She died Oct. 15, 2005, at Winfield, Ill.

KONAWA — Services for Emma Dale Fidler, 85, Konawa, are 2 p.m., Wednesday at the Assembly of God church, Konawa, Mitch Willams officiating. Burial follows at Konawa Cemetery.

Mrs. Fidler died Oct. 17 at her residence. She was born Jan. 25, 1920, at Grennbriar, Ark. to Benny and Lela Bolton. She was a long-time resident of Konawa.

She married Charles Fidler Jan. 28, 1935, at Tecumseh. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church, Konawa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Fidler; two brothers, J.D. and Benny Bolton; one sister, Zenoma Truman; and a great-grandson, Jake Newby.

Survivors include one son, Jarrett Fidler, Konawa; one daughter, Sharon D. Hogue, Konawa; six grandchilden; and ten great-grandchildren.

Bearers are Tracy Fidler, Steve Newby, Leon Hager, Leighton Littell, Terry Fidler and Landon Littell.

MAUD — Services for J.D. Laudermilk, 70, Maud, are 2 p.m. Thursday at Brown’s Funeral Chapel, Coalgate, the Revs. Vance Bowman and Jerry Stacy officiating. Burial follows at Byrd’s Prairie Cemetery. He died Oct. 16, 2005, at Oklahoma City.

Bearers are Dean Lay, Leon James, Dean Head, Bennie Lucich, Amos Laudermilk and Jerry Wane Laudermilk.

Honorary bearers are Otis James and Buddy Laudermilk.

ADA — Services for Bethel O. Jackson, 93, Ada, are 2 p.m. Thursday at Pickard Funeral Home Chapel, the Revs. Stephen Nation and Dale Ruggles officiating. Burial follows at Swan Hill.

Mr. Jackson died Oct. 17, 2005, at Ada. He was born April 26, 1912, at Bryan County, to Lillie Alexander and D.C. Jackson. He married Mary Lou Ginn Jackson Dec. 30, 1930, at Pauls Valley. He was a cattle rancher and spent most of his life in the Stratford area. He was a member of Church of the Nazarene.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou; two brothers; and five sisters.

Survivors include a son, Oniel Jackson and wife Marva Nell, Ada; two sisters, Ethel Lee Sanders, Oklahoma City, and Letha Seiz, California; three grandchildren, Kenneth Jackson, Gatesville, Texas, Dawn Arnold, Dennison, Texas, and Monty Jackson, Stratford; four great-grandchildren, Tracey Keeling, Ada, Spring Duncan, Misty Duncan and Somer Duncan, all of Dennison, Texas; and three great-great-grandchildren.

STONEWALL — Services for Joe R. Daniel, 84, Stonewall, are 2 p.m. Tuesday at Stonewall First Baptist Church, the Revs. Ray Moffeit and Gary Jamar officiating. Burial follows at Highland Cemetery, Stonewall.

Mr. Daniel died Oct. 14, 2005, at a local hospital. He was born July 7, 1921, at Stonewall, to Leonard Thomas and Alma Rose Daniel. He was a farmer and rancher in the Frisco area and worked in the oilfield. He served in World War II in the European Theatre for three years and was very proud to have served his country.

He married Reba Minor July 25, 1951.

Survivors include his wife, Reba, of the home; two daughters, Vickie King and husband Dwight, Marietta, and Valerie Daniel, Chickasha; a son, Mickey Daniel, Granbury, Texas; a sister, Dixie Ingram, Norman; two grandsons, Craig King and wife Addy, Senatobia, Miss.; and Chad King and wife Jessica, Ada; two great-granddaughters, Kennedy and Carley King; one niece; and six nephews.

Bearers are his nephews, Leonard Daniel, Johnny Daniel, Pat Daniel, Jackie Daniel, Thomas Ingram and Lee Sweat.

Honorary bearers are Bob Langley, Conrad Lammon, Glen Ray McDonald, Bill Newport, Dean Stephens, Don Stephens, D. Z. Crow, Jack Blair, Earl Wood, Harold Uhlich, Bob Whisenhunt, Darius Jenkins, Roy Christian, Floyd Underhill and Curtis Colbert.

The family says those who wish may make memorials to Stonewall First Baptist Church Building Fund, P. O. Box 295, Stonewall, OK 74871.

RONNIE SHORES

ADA — Services for Ronnie Glenn Shores, 48, Ada, are 10 a.m. Monday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. David Gray officiating. Burial follows at Five Mile Cemetery.

Mr. Shores died Oct. 13, 2005, at a local hospital. He was born June 20, 1957, at Ada, to Donald and Wanda Gammons Shores. He lived in this area most of his life, attending school at Homer Elementary, Byng and graduated from Ada High School.

Mr. Shores was employed in the oilfield services.

Survivors include his parents, Donald and Wanda Shores, Ada; two brothers, Alvin Shores and Stanley Shores and wife Lisa, all of Ada; two sisters, Christene Shores and Annita Ward and husband Melvin, all of Ada; and five nieces.

NORMAN WYCHE SR.

ADA — Services for Norman Lee Wyche, Sr., 74, Ada, are 2 p.m. Wednesday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Frank Trent officiating. Burial follows at Lightning Ridge Cemetery.

Mr. Wyche died Oct. 14, 2005, at his home. He was born Sept. 11, 1931, at Fitzhugh, to Welcome and Juanita Miles Wyche. He lived in the Ada area all his life. He attended school at Fitzhugh and graduated from Fitzhugh High School.

Mr. Wyche was employed with Ideal Cement as a beltline repairman retiring after 27 years of service. He played minor league baseball and served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by a son, Norman C. Wyche Jr.; and a brother, Boydean Wyche.

Survivors include his wife, Sally Wyche, of the home; two daughters, Pat Estes, Ada, and Reta DeFonseca, Aurora, Colo.; one son, Jody Wyche, Bethesda, Md.; three brothers, Jerry Wyche, Sulphur, Danny Wyche, Fitzhugh, and Mike Wyche, Roff; four sisters, June Beavers, Kay Dansby, Carol Hembree, all of Ada, and Janice West, Gaar Corner; six grandchildren, Tommie Wayne Estes, Jr., Renee McDaniel, Joe McDaniel, James McDaniel, Jason Wyche and Glenn Wyche; six great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Bearers are Dan Wyche, Kevin Wyche, Jim Wyche, Ish Tatum, Richard Teel and Tommie Estes, Jr. Honorary bearers are Oniel Jackson, Paul Dansby, Sammy Townsend and Don Northcutt.
