Willie Mae Rucker
Services for Willie Mae Rucker are pending.

Willie Mae Rucker died Sept. 17, 2002 at her home in Grant. She was 85.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Rogan Funeral Home in Hugo.

Edna Norene Nelms
Services for Edna Norene Nelms were at 10 a.m. Sept. 17 at the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home. The Rev. Doug McClure officiated. Internment followed at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hugo.

The family received friends from 5-6 p.m. Sept. 16 at Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Chapel.

Edna Norene Nelms died Sept. 15, 2002 in Hugo. She was 81.

Edna Nelms was born March 15, 1921 in Memphis, Texas to Henry and Grace (Buchanon) Boyles. She married Harry Nelms in Paris, Texas June 21, 1945.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

She is survived by one daughter, Pam Bush of Hugo; one granddaughter, Amy Barger of Hugo and two great grandchildren, Lauren and Jordan Barger, both of Hugo.

Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Services for Newton Cook, Sr., of Paris, Texas, are pending.

Newton Cook, Sr., formerly of the Speer Community, died Sept. 15, 2002 in Paris, Texas.

The Rogan Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Earl Fegett
Graveside services for Earl Fegett, of Valliant, were at 2 p.m. Dec. 18, 2002 at the Valliant Cemetery in Valliant. The Rev. Troy Ruffin officiated the ceremony.

Earl Fegett died Dec. 18, 2002 at the McCurtain Memorial Hospital in Idabel. He was 79.

Earl Fegett was born Jan. 5, 1923 in Duncan to Willard Fegett and Hattie B. (Barton) Fegett. He married Mable Rowan Oct. 29, 1945 in Okemah.

Earl was preceded in death by his wife.

He is survived by one son, Charlie Earl “Lucky” Fegett of Valliant; three daughters, Bertha Baxter of Garvin, Emma Lou Rankins of Valliant and Mary “Penny” Gross of Valliant; three sisters, Thelma Wade of Henryetta, Ollie Rawdon of Okemah and Alice Hamilton of Okemah; ten grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

The Miller & Miller Funeral Home in Valliant handled the funeral arrangements.

Floyd Oliver Washington
Services for Floyd Oliver Washington, of Wright City, were at 2 p.m. Dec. 18, 2002 at the First Assembly of God Church in Wright City. The Rev. Scott Stewart officiated the ceremony.

Floyd Oliver Washington, a Vietnam veteran, died Dec. 18, 2002 at Christus St. Joseph Hospital. He was 48.

Floyd is survived by his wife, Velma Washington, of Wright City; two sons, Oliver D. Washington, of Dallas and Floyd Oliver Washington II of Wright City; one daughter, Ashley Washington of Wright City; his parents, Gloria Nash of Dallas and Huey Nash of Dallas; two brothers, Kenny and Huey W. Nash, both of Dallas; one sister, ShAshon Nash of Dallas; two devoted nephews and a host of nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and other relatives.

The Rogan Funeral Home in Hugo handled the funeral arrangements.

Harold Van Devenport
Services for Harold Van Devenport, of Hugo, were at 2 p.m. Dec. 20, 2002 at the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Doug McClure officiated the ceremony. Internment followed at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hugo.

Harold Van Devenport died Dec. 17, 2002 in Paris. He was 74.

Harold Van Devenport was born Dec. 5, 1928 in Farmersville, Texas to Vernon M. and Velma May (Vann) Devenport. He married Grace Bookout Aug. 13, 1967 in Hugo.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

He is survived by his wife Grace, of Hugo; his brother-in-law Steve Bookout; one sister, Hattie Redmond of Riverside, Ca.; numerous nieces and nephews and other family members.

Lonnie Dale Alvarez
Graveside services for Lonnie Dale Alvarez were be at noon Dec. 20, 2002 at the Crystal Cemetery.

Lonnie Dale Alvarez, the infant son of Nicholas Alvarez and Kari Yarbrough entered into his rest on Sunday, Dec. 15, 2002 at the Choctaw Indian Hospital in Talihina.

Lonnie is survived by his parents, Nicholas Alvarez and Kari Yarbrough; one sister, Keeli Tsosie, of the home; his paternal grandparents, Nick and Tommy Alvarez of Hugo; his maternal grandparents, Cindy Yarbrough of Wright City and Danny Yarbrough of Mt. Vernon, Texas; his paternal great-grandparents, Oleta and the late Lonnie Crawford of Crystal and Blas and Gloria Alvarez of Dallas; his maternal great-grandparents, Bob and Chockie Edge of Soper and Barbara and Perry Yarbrough of League City, Texas; his maternal great-great-grandparents, Clara Self of Soper and Glen and Tess Tapp of Wilson; his aunts and uncles, Amy Yarbrough of Wright City, Jennifer and Bryan Berry of Hugo and Cody and Tyler Yarbrough of Mt. Vernon, Texas; his great aunts, Henri Edge of Soper and Vicki Yarbrough of Stillwater and his cousins, Gunner Hemmingway of Hugo and Daven Anna of Wright City.

The Mt. Olive Funeral Home in Hugo handled the funeral arrangements.

Lonnie Shane Cross
Services for Lonnie Shane Cross, of Boswell, were at 11 a.m. Dec. 21, 2002 at the Jesus Name Church in Boswell. Randy Potter officiated the ceremony. Internment followed at the Restland Cemetery in Boswell.

The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Miller & Miller Funeral Home in Boswell.

Lonnie Shane Cross died Dec. 17, 2002 at his home. He was 30.

Lonnie was born Dec. 6, 1972 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Harold L. Cross and Betty (Potter) Cross.

He is survived by his parents, Harold and Betty Cross of Boswell; one daughter, Catelyn Nicole Love Cross of Boswell; one brother, Alan Cross of Wichita Falls, Texas; his grandmothers, Edna Burno of Boswell and Margie Cross of Ponder, Texas and several nieces and nephews.

The Miller & Miller Funeral Home in Boswell handled the funeral arrangements.
