Frances Loter Padilla
Services for Frances Loter Padilla, of Hugo, were at 2 p.m. Jan. 27, 2003 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home in Hugo. Interment followed at the Showman’s Rest in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The family received friends from 2-4 p.m. Jan. 26, 2003 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home in Hugo.

Frances Loter Padilla died Jan. 22, 2003 at her home in Hugo. She was 78.

Frances was born Jan. 15, 1925 in Ada to W.H. Stokes and Adaline Faye (Clark) Stokes.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tony Padilla, in 1982.

She is survived by two sons, William Earl Loter of Dallas and Richard Barnum Loter of GrandBury, Texas; five daughters, Faye “Dixie” Walker of Hugo, Frances Darlene Loter of Stockton, Calif., Linda Irene Flores of Sarasota, Fla., Becky Ann Meress of Detroit and Terry Lea Parkinson of Tolar, Texas; 15 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Miller & Miller Funeral Home in Hugo is handling the funeral arrangements.

Bessie Hogan Milsapp
Services for Bessie Hogan Milsapp, of Hugo, were at noon Jan. 24, 2003 at the Hugo Chapel Baptist Church. The Rev. Roylia Akins officiated the ceremony. Interment followed at the Crosley Cemetery.

Bessie Milsapp died Jan. 20, 2003 at the Homestead Nursing Home. She was 101.

Bessie is survived by her step-daughter, Laura Rolling of Dallas; her brother-in-law, James Thompson of Sawyer and several nieces and nephews.

The Rogan Funeral Home in Hugo handled the funeral arrangements.

Lois Marie Railback
Services for Lois Marie Railback, of Hugo, were at 1 p.m. Jan. 25, 2003 at the Boswell School Facility building. Ted McClure officiated the ceremony. Interment followed at the Mayhue Cemetery.

Lois Marie Railback died Jan. 16, 2003 at Choctaw Memorial Hospital. She was 54.

Lois is survived by her son, Ryan T. Ford of Hugo; her mother, Lois Minter, of Hugo; eight sisters, Sherrie Wheaton & Marilyn Bradley, both of Hugo, Madelyn Johnson & Ruby Perkins, both of Phoenix, Ariz., Donna Johnson & Rebecca Gray, both of Sherman, Texas, Charlene Taylor of Boswell, and Creeshia McClure of Fort Worth, Texas; six brothers, Ted McClure, Anthony Minter & Rodney Minter, all of Phoenix, Ariz; Terrell McClure of Grant and Fred Lewis & Carl McClure of Boswell; one aunt, two uncles and several nieces and nephews.

The Rogan Funeral Home in Hugo handled the funeral arrangements.

Rodessia L. Allen
Services for Rodessia L. Allen, of Sawyer, were at 2 p.m. Jan. 24, 2003 at the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Chapel in Hugo. The Rev. Bernie Hammonds officiated the ceremony. Interment followed at the Spencerville Cemetery.

The family received friends from 5-7 p.m. Jan. 23, 2003 at the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home in Hugo.

Rodessia died Jan. 21, 2003 in Owasso. She was 74.

Rodessia L. Allen was born May 1, 1928 in Lamar County, Texas to Alvie & Lona (Rhodes) Justice.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Rosa Ann Pyron and one son, Raymond Allen.

She is survived by three sons, Travis Allen and Robert Allen, both of Sawyer and Steve Allen of Powderly, Texas; two daughters, Ruby Creacy of Powderly, Texas and Marsha Adam of Owasso; one brother, Travis Justice of Deport, Texas; five sisters, Maebelle Bellamy of Paris, Texas, Margaret Collin, Helen Potts and Carol Cochran, all of Sawyer and Ruby Nell Haynes of Oakdale, Calif.; 20 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home in Hugo handled the funeral arrangements.

Katheryn L. (Kate) Evans
Services for Katheryn L. (Kate) Evans, of Hugo, were at 10 a.m. Jan. 23, 2003 at the First United Methodist Church in Hugo. The Rev. Richard Eckel officiated the ceremony. Interment followed at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hugo.

Katheryn Evans died Jan. 20, 2003 in Hugo. She was 82.

Katheryn Lucile Evans was born April 20, 1920 in Hugo to Hyram M. and Annie Lucile (Johnson) Evans.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Jo Evans on June 13, 2002.; one brother, and her parents.

She is survived by one nephew, Richard Beauparlant of Kailua, Hawaii; one sister-in-law, Milded Evans of Tulsa and many friends and other relatives.

Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home in Hugo handled the funeral arrangements.

Alma Linnie Needham
Services for Alma Linnie Needham, of Hugo, were at 3 p.m. Jan. 26, 2003 at the First Baptist Church in Hugo.
Alma Needham died Jan. 19, 2003 in Hugo. She was 93.

Alma Linnie Needham was born Nov. 10, 1909 in Hugo to John Sturges and Alma Rowe. She was an administrator at Rose Hill Cemetery in Hugo.

She is survived by one son, Lloyd S. Needham of Oklahoma City.

The Cremation Society of Oklahoma handled the funeral arrangements.

John Harold Watson
Services for John Harold Watson, formerly of Chicota, Texas, were at Jan. 22, 2003 at the Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home in Paris, Texas. The Rev. Mickey Kelley officiated. Burial followed at the Chicota Cemetery.

John Watson died Jan. 20, 2003 at Hopkins Hospital in Sulpher Springs, Texas. he was 69.

John was born June 3, 1933 in Lamar County, Texas to George and Betty Porter Watson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Betty Porter Watson and his twin brother, James Carold Watson.

He is survived by three sons, Paul Watson of Birthright, Texas, Justin Watson of Soper and Johnny Watson of Birthright; two daughters, Lorrie Parsley of Nash, Texas and Sandy Yarbrough of Deport, Texas. 13 grandchildren; two grandsons-in-law; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Bonnie Smallwood; an uncle, Paul Watson; a numer of nieces, nephews, cousins and a very special friend, Phyllis Weir.

The Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home in Paris, Texas handled the funeral arrangements.
