ADA — Services for Foy Phillips, 78, Ada, are pending with Criswell Funeral Home. Mr. Phillips died Tuesday, April 5, 2005, at his home.

FITTSTOWN — Services for Patricia Tatum, 66, Fittstown, are pending with Criswell Funeral Home. Ms. Tatum died Tuesday, April 5, 2005, at a local hospital.

MONTIE INEZ MURPHY
HEALDTON — Services for Montie Inez Scott Murphy, 94, Healdton, formerly of Stonewall are pending with Criswell Funeral Home. Mrs. Murphy died Tuesday, April 5, 2005, at a Healdton hospital.

MURRY COLLINGS
NOBLE — Graveside services for Murry Collings, 88, Noble, formerly of Ada, are 2 p.m. Thursday at Rosedale Cemetery, the Revs. Eddie Malphrus and Ken Huddleston will officiate.

Mr. Collings died Tuesday, April 5, 2005, at a Noble nursing home. He was born May 13, 1916, at Mangum, Oklahoma to Roy and Betty Caton Collings. He lived most of his life in the Ada area. He attended school at Byng.

He married Frances Nadine Howard Dec. 27, 1938, at Lawrence.

In the early 1940s, Mr. Collings drove a truck for Swift Company for 15 years. Later, he co-owned and operated a mechanic shop on West 12th Street in Ada. In 1967, he and his son, Robert Collings owned and operated a filling station on West Main Street in Ada, he then semi-retired in 1982. Mr. Collings was also a co-owner of Collings Automotive with his brother, Earl Collings.

Mr. Collings was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and a Charter Member of the Ada Gun Club.

Survivors include his wife, Nadine Collings, of the home; two sons, Robert Collings and wife Bobby, Noble, and Howard Collings, McLoud; a daughter, Shirley Collings, Cumberland Cove; five brothers, Earl Collings, Ada, Leroy Collings, Sacramento, Calif., Kenneth Collings, Fresno, Calif., Teddy Jo Collings, Grizzly Flats, Calif., and Gene Collings, McAlester; three grandchildren, Robin Mize and husband Carl, Noble, Monty Collings and wife Tracy, Noble and Rocky Lynn Collings; seven great-grandchildren, Jennifer Thomas and husband Chuck, Sarah Collings, Janae Meyer and husband Joe, Steffanie Collings, Jaran Mize, Shelby Collings and Brandon Collings; two great-great-grandchildren, Billy Lane Thomas and Kinley Thomas.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Brandon Lee Hendricks, sister, Leona Crawford, Modesto, Calif., and two brothers, Bobby Glen Collings, Los Angeles, Calif., and Doug Collings, Seminole.

Bearers will be Monty Collings, Larry Clifford Collings, David Collings, Richard Mize, Robin Mize and Chuck Thomas. Honorary bearers will be Jennifer Thomas, Sarah Collings, Janae Meyer, Joe Meyer, Steffanie Collings, Jaran Mize, Shelby Collings, and Brandon Collings.

TISHOMINGO — Graveside services for Austin Campbell, 71, Tishomingo, were today at Condon Grove Cemetery, Milburn. He died April 5, 2005, at Tishomingo.

DEL CITY — Graveside services for Mildred Mae Davis, 79, Del City, are 1 p.m. today at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Tupelo, Ed Bullard officiating.

Mrs. Davis died April 3, 2005. She was born Aug. 4, 1925, at Tupelo to Robert Wesley and Jewel Bell King Dickinson.

She was a member of Eastern Star, VFW Ladies Auxiliary and Oklahoma Central Food Association. She was the cafeteria manager for Oklahoma City Public Schools for 25 years.

She married Robert P. Davis Jr.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

Survivors include her husband, Robert P. Davis Jr., Del City; a daughter, Billie Jean Bowen and her husband Tom, Newcastle; a sister, Ruby Coates and her husband Wayne, Lakeland, Fla.; grandchildren Randy Bowen and his fiancé Diana, and Daryl Bowen and his wife Kristi; great-grandchildren, Caleb Bowen, Baylee Bowen, Jeromey Clayton, Lindsey Rains and Hunter Rains; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Mr. Langwell died March 30, 2005, in Irving, Texas. He was born Jan. 31, 1945, in Wichita, Kan., to Sherman K. and Cecilia R. Merritt Langwell Jr.

Survivors include his wife, Mary D. Langwell; daughters, Kasandra Strater and husband Mark and Cynthia Preston and husband Garry; grandchildren, Dylan and Abby Strater and Laurel Preston; sisters, Evelyn Sexton and husband Ernest and Renee Danks and husband Randy; brother, Darrell Langwell and wife Jodie; niece, Randa Danks; and nephews, Ronald, David and William Sexton, Kirk and Craig Langwell, and Ryan Danks.

In lieu of flowers, the family said memorial contributions may be made to Angel Food Ministries, c/o Ada Church of the Nazarene, PO Box 1260, Ada, OK 74821.

Mr. Tollett died March 27, 2005, at Talihina. He was born April 26, 1962, in Ada, to Bob and Sue Lively Tollett.

He was a member of First Baptist Church of Talihina and worked as an auto mechanic.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, an aunt and two cousins.

Survivors include his parents, Bob and Sue Tollett, Holdenville; siblings, David and Bradley Tollett and Deanna Crawford-Townsend, all of Ada; two nieces, Lauren Tollett and Chandler Crawford and two nephews, Brandon Tollett and Coleman Crawford. Also surviving are numerous aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends.

STONEWALL — Services for R.E. “Edd” Brock, 78, Stonewall, are 2 p.m. Friday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Charles Teel and Truman Teel will officiate. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. The Chickasaw Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mr. Brock died Wednesday, March 30, 2005, at a Stonewall nursing home. He was born Sept. 13, 1926, at Matoy, near Caddo, to Rufus Thomas and Minnie Gaye Swader Brock. He attended school at Russett and moved to this area April 28, 1962, from Madill.

Mr. Brock married Virginia Lois Harris on Jan. 26, 1946, at Gainesville, Texas. She died Feb. 6, 1984. He was an equipment operator-maintainer operator for Pontotoc County, District #3 until his retirement. He was formerly a ranch hand for many years. Mr. Brock was a member of Rocky Point Missionary Baptist Church and had served in the U.S. Army during World War II from 1945 until 1949.

Survivors include three daughters, Judy Thomas and husband John, Stonewall, Ann Bock and husband Lee, Clarksville, Ga., and Nancy Hudson, Trenton, Texas; two sons, Eddie Brock and wife Melissa, Celeste, Texas, and Mark and SuzAnn Brock, Roswell, N.M.; a sister, Paula Russell, Mesquite, Texas; 18 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great- grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Eula Miles.

Bearers will be his grandsons, Wayne Bock, John E. Corbitt, Tommy Thomas, Eddie Brock Jr., Frankie Russell and Joe Embrey. Honorary bearers are John Thomas, John W. Corbitt, Lee Bock, Willard Sliger, Don Teel and Roy Allen.
