LINDEN PHERIGO
ADA — Services for Linden Ray Pherigo, 67, are 2 p.m. Wednesday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Mickey Keith and Kenneth Butler officiating. Burial follows at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Pherigo died Aug. 14, 2005, at Ada. He was born April 9, 1938, at Okmulgee to Eugene Pherigo and Irene Stanley Pherigo. He attended Ada schools and graduated from Ada High School. He worked at Ada Typewriter and Supply for 37 years and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. He married Sally Lorraine Plummer April 17, 1959, at Ada.

He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Pherigo; and two brothers, Sammy Pherigo and Jimmy Pherigo.

Survivors include his wife, Sally Pherigo, Ada; his mother, Irene Graham and her husband, Ab, Englewood, Fla.; a brother, Mike Graham and wife, Wendy, Englewood; three children, Shawn Pherigo, Ada, Julie Cunningham and husband Pat, Elgin, and Angela Long and husband John, Ada; and four grandchildren, Trey and Sawyer Caldwell, Elgin, and Alex and Blake Long, Ada.

Bearers are Mike Graham, Bob McNutt, Kenneth Butler, Freddie Rhodes, Bill White and Steven Sawyers.

Honorary bearers are Bob Thompson, Mark Thompson, Julian “Big” Henry, J. Kent Smith, Ralph Gifford, Laurel Miller, Jimmy Miller and Jeff Moore.

LAWRENCE MASON
BANGS, Texas — Services for Lawrence Dale Mason, 91, Bangs, are 2 p.m. Wednesday at Davis Morris Funeral Home, Brownwood, Texas. Burial is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Ardmore, Okla.

Mr. Mason died Aug. 14, 2005. He was born April 25, 1914, at Chelsea, Okla., to Robert Dale Mason and Rose Katherine Mason. He married Ruby Juanita Kennedy Dec. 1, 1934. He worked at Royal Theater, Ardmore, and retired after many years of service as a mechanic in the motor pool for Sheffield Steel, Houston, Texas. During his retirement he worked in the volunteer fire department at Lake Conroe, Texas, and was lake patrolman for the county at Lake Conroe. Later, during his retirement, he and his wife operated an antique business at Ardmore. He served briefly as a security guard at Memorial Hospital, Ardmore. He moved to Bangs in 1989. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Brownwood, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his wife in 2003; two brothers; and four sisters.

Survivors include one daughter, Pat Gibson and husband James, Bangs; two grandsons, Tony Gibson and wife Jenny, Ada, Okla., and Dwain Gibson, Bangs; three great-grandchildren, Mason, Charlie and Lincoln Gibson, Ada; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Davis-Morris Funeral Home, Brownwood, Texas

EVERETT WELLS
ADA — Services for Everett Ervin Lee Wells, 80, Ada, are 2 p.m. Wednesday at Center Free Will Baptist Church, the Revs. Earl Hood and Tony Folger officiating. Burial follows at Center Cemetery.

Mr. Wells died Aug. 15, 2005, at a local nursing home. He was born Aug. 4, 1925, at Oklahoma City, to Elmer Wells and Kathrine Jacobs Wells. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and came to this area in 1993 from Dallas, Texas. He was an office manager for Blue Cross and Blue Shield at Texas.

He married Erma Jean Voyles Wise in 1965 at Durant.

He was preceded in death by a son, Mike Wise.

Survivors include his wife, Erma Jean Wells, of the home; a daughter, Vicki Bray, Ada; a son, Ronald Wells and wife Becky, Ada; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four brothers, Robert Wells, Eldorado, Ark., Jim Wells, Holden, Mo., Ronald Wells, Ariz., and Glen Wells, Greenville, Texas.

Bearers are Anthony Prince, Jay Tuley, Terry Abney, Lanny Sliger, Elton Sliger and Ron Milner. Honorary bearers are Tom Jackson and Lee Young.

PAMELA D. ALLEN
UNION VALLEY — Memorial services for Pamela D. Allen, 59, Union Valley, are 10 a.m. Thursday at the Criswell Funeral Chapel, Richard Jones officiating. The family will receive friends from 7–9 p.m. Wednesday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mrs. Allen died Aug. 15, 2005, at an Oklahoma City hospital. She was born May 1, 1946, at McAlester, to Alvin Farrell and Marjorie Ward Farrell. She moved back to this area in 1984 from Oklahoma City. She attended school at Konawa and graduated from Konawa High School. She attended East Central University and graduated at Northeastern. She retired as an elementary teacher and a library media director. She was employed for 38 years in education in public schools. She was affiliated with the Church of Christ.

She married Roy C. Allen in June of 1982.

Survivors include her husband, Roy Allen, of the home; two sons, Matt Price, Beaumont, Texas, and Jeff Price, Oklahoma City; two daughters, Roena Gruel, Oklahoma City, and Toni Alsberg, Monterrey, Calif.; parents, Alvin and Marge Farrell, McAlester; one brother, Brad Farrell and wife Melanie, Ardmore; and three grandchildren.

SULPHUR — Services for Sam W. Smith Jr., 45, Sulphur, are 3 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church.

He died Aug. 13, 2005, at Sulphur.

CLAUDETTE THOMPSON

MUSKOGEE — Services for W. Claudette Thompson, 74, Muskogee, are 10 a.m. Tuesday at Grandview Baptist Church, Danny Mills officiating. Burial follows at 3 p.m. at Rosedale Cemetery, Ada, Rodney Hall officiating.

Mrs. Thompson died Aug. 14, 2005. She was born March 20, 1931, at Olney to Roscoe Roy Hall and Etta (Hudson).

Mrs. Thompson attended school at Clarita. She married A.E. Thompson at Stonewall in 1950. The couple moved to Ada where they worked and lived for 17 years until 1967 when they relocated to Muskogee. In Muskogee she worked as a bookkeeper for Griffin Foods and Coburn Optical.

Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years A.E. Thompson.

Survivors include a son, Phillip Thompson and his wife Dee Ann, Springfield, Mo.; a daughter, Janice Woods and her husband Randy, Muskogee; two granddaughters, April Rogers and her husband Stephen, and Annalea Woods and fiancιe De Mashburn; and one great-grandson, Aidan Eli Rogers.

Bearers will be her nephews, Rodney Hall, Tim Hall, Ron Hall, Darrell Thompson, David Scott, Keith Rhynes and Marvin Carter.

Honorary bearers will be Stephen Rogers and De Mashburn.

Donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 1701 N. Beauregard Street, Alexandria, VA 22311.

Mr. Wells died Monday, Aug. 15, 2005, at a local nursing home.

SULPHUR — Services for Jan Foyer, 67, Sulphur, are pending with Krien Funeral Home, Sulphur.

She died Aug. 12, 2005, at Sulphur.

DELPHA GENNOSA
ARDMORE — Graveside services for Delpha Lahoma Gennosa, 82, Ardmore, formerly of Ada, are 3 p.m. Monday at Kingston Cemetery, the Rev. Joey McWilliams officiating.

Mrs. Gennosa died Friday, Aug. 12, 2005, at an Ardmore hospital. She was born March 3, 1923, at Pontotoc to W. K. Hawkins and Floy Mae James Hawkins. She attended school at Pampa, Texas, and had been employed in New York with the Department of Human Services. She was a member of Pentecostal Holiness Church.

She married Norman Clemmons Dece. 22, 1940, at Pampa. He died Nov. 22, 1943, at Pampa. She married Joseph Gennosa in Liberty, N.Y. He preceded her in death in March 1991 in Ardmore.

Survivors include two grandsons, Joseph Wendyl “Joey” McWilliams II and wife Jodi, Durant, and Matthew Kendyl McWilliams and wife Lindsey, Broken Arrow; a stepdaughter, Jo Ann Ackerly, New York; son-in-law Wendyl McWilliams and his wife Helen, Kingston; and a special friend, Vonda Lang, Porum.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Adelya McWilliams, and her parents.

CURTIS KISER
HOLDENVILLE — Services for Curtis Kiser, 76, Holdenville, are 10 a.m. Monday at Hudson-Phillips Chapel. Burial will follow at Holdenville Cemetery.

Mr. Kiser died Thursday, Aug. 11, 2005, in Ada. He was born Oct. 31, 1928, at Calvin to Howard Joe Kiser and Lucille Couch Kiser.

He was raised in Holdenville and Wetumka, attending Fairview Schools. He worked for various oil companies, including Charlie McDaniels, and as an auctioneer. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Harold Dean Kiser.

Survivors include four children, Ronnie Kiser, Ada, Rick Kiser, Oklahoma City, Diane Langwell and husband, David, Wewoka, and Kathy Lynn Kiser; stepchildren, Harvey Hogue, Verna Wilson, Wanda Young and Patrician Louise, all of Ada; brothers, Bobby Kiser Sr. and wife Helen, Bakersfield, Calif., and Tommy Kiser, Jett; sisters, Wilma Joe Eddy, Flagstaff, Ariz., Bettie Hulsteine and husband Dale, Wetumka, and Dorothy Norris and husband Wayne, Holdenville; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; many other relatives and friends; and ex-wives, Donna Jean Kiser and Azell Hogue, both of Ada.

Bearers are Billy Joe Kiser, John Kiser, Sonny Kiser, Roger Kiser, Rex Kiser, Hershel Kiser, James Lee Shirrock and Robert Norris.

Honorary bearers are Henry “Doc” Jordan, Jackie Jones, Terry Yarbrough, Danny Yarbrough, Tommy King and Steve Husline.
