OKLAHOMA CITY Graveside services for Earl Wayne Chambers, 63, Oklahoma City, formerly Ada, are 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Franks Cemetery.

He died May 7, 2004, at an Oklahoma City hospital.

COALGATE Services for Claud R. "Happy" McInnis, 59, Coalgate, are 2 p.m. Thursday at Brown's Funeral Chapel. Burial follows at Coalgate City Cemetery.

KENNETH PENNINGTON

WAPANUCKA Graveside services for Kenneth Wayne Pennington, 56, Wapanucka, are 11 a.m. Friday at Wells Valley Cemetery near Bromide. Military honors will be provided by the Veterans of Foreign War Post 4869 and the American Legion Post 164, both of Tishomingo.

Mr. Pennington died May 11, 2004, at Coleman. He was born May 13, 1947, at Madill to J.T. and Betty Baker Pennington. He graduated high school in Wapanucka and later attended East Central University, Ada, and Murray State College, Tishomingo.

He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam conflict and following his honorable discharge, he married Janie Sandusky June 27, 1976, at Denison.

He was a long-time resident of Johnston County and was employed at Lattimore Concrete Co. as a heavy equipment operator.

Mr. Pennington was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his wife Janie, of the home; two daughters, Shasta Ferris, Bromide, and Amy Wilson, Edmond; a son, Alex Pennington, Tulsa; two sisters, Linda Ryan, Oktaha, and Ann Taylor, Tulsa; and a grandson.

OKLAHOMA CITY Graveside services for Bobby Jay Stoliby, 51, Oklahoma City, are 2 p.m. Thursday at Byars Cemetery, Byars.

He died May 9, 2004.

ALLEN Graveside Services for Blanche Farris Trammell, 97, Allen, are 10 a.m. Thursday at Citra Cemetery.

Mrs. Trammell died May 11, 2004, at a local hospital. She was born Feb. 7, 1907, at Gerty, Indian Territory, to Oscar and Ida Gatewood Farris. She attended school in Gerty, and then moved to Louisiana for 40 years. She moved back to Allen following the death of her husband.

She and Travis Ira Trammell Sr. were married Jan. 11, 1932, in Oklahoma City. He died Nov. 22, 1973, in Louisiana.

Mrs. Trammell was a homemaker and a member of the Order of Eastern Star and First Baptist Church since 1976.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and four sisters.

Survivors include a son, Travis Ira Trammell Jr. and wife Melissa, Campti, La.; a daughter, Debbie Murphy and husband Kevin, Montgomery, Ala.; four grandsons, Joseph Shane Anderson, James Chadwick Anderson, Travis Ira Trammell III and Richard Land Trammell; a great-grandchild, James Camden Anderson; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and friends at the Allen Nutrition Center.

STONEWALL Graveside services for Larry Wade Henry, 61, Stonewall, are 2 p.m. Wednesday at Highland Cemetery. Chickasaw Honor Guard will conduct military honors.

Mr. Henry died May 7, 2004, at his home in Oklahoma City. He was born Oct. 22, 1942, at Ada to Frank Osbin and Alma Katherine Scribner Henry. He lived most of his life in this area, attending school at Stonewall and graduating from high school at Haskell.

Mr. Henry served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam era and retired from the military.

Survivors include four sons, Larry Wade Henry Jr., Johnny Henry, Joseph Henry and wife Christine and Jimmy Frank Henry; a daughter, Bonnie Henry and husband Reza Memar; three sisters, Lynn Worcester, Ada, Hope Scott, Lawton, and Mary Miller, Arizona; four brothers, Michael Henry, Manasses, Va., Richard Henry, Galey, John Henry, Broken Arrow, and Terry Henry, Huntsville, Ala.; and five grandchildren, Dory Memar, Mo Memar, Richard Henry, Paige Henry and Washee Henry.

AVIS PARNELL

ADA Services for Avis L. Parnell, 88, Ada, are 2 p.m. Wednesday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Dr. George Warren officiating. Burial follows at Rosedale Cemetery.

Mrs. Parnell died May 9, 2004, at her home. She was born April 2, 1916, at Calumet to Charles David and Myrtle Wheeler Cox.

Following the death of her mother in 1920, she lived with her aunt, Anna Knudson, of Gracemont. She graduated from El Reno High School in 1934 and from O.C.W. Girls School, Chickasha in 1941 with a bachelor of science degree in home economics.

She taught school in the western part of Oklahoma for five years and then attended Colorado A&M where she obtained a master's degree. She also taught in the Houston, Texas, school system, retiring in 1975.

She and R.B. Parnell were married Aug. 27, 1946, at Calument. He died Dec. 28, 1994.

Mrs. Parnell was a member of the Pontotoc Teacher's Association, CEC, AAUW and Ada Council of Garden Clubs.

She was preceded in death by two sisters.

Survivors include three nieces, Corinne Schwandt, Ada, Myrtle Sykes, Chickasha and Juanita Muller, Carney, Neb.; and 14 great-nieces and nephews.

Bearers are Lloyd Briggs, Kenneth Murphy, Ira Little, Neal Beasley, Andy Hood and Floyd Gurley.

She died May 11, 2004, at a local nursing facility.

She died May 9, 2004, at Sulphur.

JOE BAKER
ADA Services for Joe Marlin Baker, 65, Ada, are 2 p.m. Wednesday at Abundant Life Tabernacle, the Rev. George Carson and Captain Jeff Daniel officiating. Burial follows at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Baker died May 8, 2004, southwest of Ada. He was born March 17, 1939, at Ada to Harvey W. and Thelma Rose Baker. He graduated from Ada High School and the Oklahoma City School of Refrigeration. He lived in Ada most of his life.

He and Colleen Williams were married June 13, 1959, at Latta.

Mr. Baker was employed at Owens-Brockway Glass Co., Ada, for 32 years and Anchor Glass, Henryetta, for seven years, retiring in 1999.

He was a member of Abundant Life Tabernacle where he served as Sunday school teacher and musician. He was an active volunteer for the Salvation Army and had recently completed training for disaster management. He was a licensed solo pilot for ten years and was currently a member of the Ada Amateur Radio Club. He was also a past member of the Army National Guard, serving as an MP for eight years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Thelma Baker.

Survivors include his wife, Colleen Baker, of the home; a son, Brian Joe Baker, Ada; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Don and Cathy Williams, Ada; and uncle and aunt, Foy and Jo Rose, Midwest City.

Bearers are Jim Jackson, Ken P. Hobbs, Larry Jones, Charles Eiter, Sam Jewell and Robert Hall.

ADA Services for John Henry "Red" Gore, 66, Ada, are 2 p.m. Tuesday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Carl Hayes officiating. Burial follows at Rosedale Cemetery.

Mr. Gore died May 8, 2004, at a local hospital. He was born Aug. 30, 1937, at Allen to Henry Kenneth and Ollie May Peek Gore. He lived in this area all his life.

Mr. Gore was a carpenter until his retirement. He was also a guitarist and vocalist and was in charge of the Senior Citizens Dances at the Irving school.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Hoover Gore and Melvin Gore.

Survivors include his companion, Wanda Faye Haley, of the home; eight sons, Donald Gore, Richard Gore, both of Ada, Glen Gore, McAlester, Kevin Gore, Stonewall, Johnny Henderson, Missouri, Billy Gore, Dover, Darvin Gore, Shawnee and Justin Gore, Granite; six daughters, Connie Mann, Johnna Crewse, Ruby Howell and Katrina Gore, all of Ada, Brenda Henderson, Missouri, Ollie Maple, Moore; three sisters, Midge Buchanan, Oklahoma City, Ellen Shirley, Ada, and Juanita Carnell, Pauls Valley; three brothers, Darvin Gore, Oklahoma City, Billy Gore, Ada and Jim Gore, Shawnee; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Bearers are grandsons, Danny Gore, Shannon Gore, Jason Crewse, Jeremy Crewse, Dustin Stein, Ryan Gore and Bronson Gore.

Honorary bearers are twelve grandsons.
