Eleanor (Lafollette) Sayre, 88, of Wellsburg, WV died Thursday June 28, 2001 in Manor Care, Camp Hill, PA.
She was a retired glassworker and payroll clerk with 32 years service at Cresent Glass Co., Wellsburg, WV. She was a member of First Christian Church, Wellsburg, WV; American Legion Auxillary, Wellsburg, WV; and an officer in her local United Machinists Union of America. She loved crossword puzzles; was a devoted West Virginia Mountaineer fan; loved all athletics; high school basketball player; and in later years, she and her husband were honorary parents for the Brooke County High School girls' basketball team, Cross Creek, WV.
She was born 5/16/13 in Bucktel, Athens County, OH to the late Joshua A. and Mary (Cusic) Lafollette.
She was the widow of Lawrence Sayre and is survived by a son Lawrence A. Sayre of Camp Hill; 2 daughters, Marion "Dudie" Lamone of Columbus, OH and Betty "Jean" Mozingo of Avella, PA; a sister Virginia Radcliff of Wheeling, WV; 7 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; and in addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Dolores McCoy.
Services will be held 11 am Saturday in Chambers Funeral Home, Wellsburg, WV. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Weirton, WV.
Viewings will be Friday 7-9pm and Saturday 9-11am in the funeral home.
Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland is handling local arrangements.

I. Paul Sharrets
I. Paul Sharretts, 73, of Mechanicsburg, died Wednesday, July 4, 2001 at Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Twp.
A Korean Army Veteran, he was the former owner/operator of Charles D. Snyder and Son, Harrisburg and Sharretts Plating, Emigsville. He was a graduate of John Harris High School and Temple University. He was a member Communtiy United Methodist Church, New Cumberland, Perseverance Lodge No. 28, F & AM, Harrisburg, Harrisburg Consistory; Zembo Temple, and Past President of Zembo Luncheon Club and Lancaster Branch of the American Electroplating Society. He was a past board member of Southern PA National Bank and the former Dauphin Deposit Bank.
He was born October 23, 1927 in Harrisburg to the late Irvin L. and Carrie (Sterrett) Sharretts.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia A. Fickes Sharretts, two sons, Timothy B. of Camp Hill and Thomas P. of Mechanicsburg; a sister, Mary Leah Anspach of New Cumberland; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11am Saturday at his church. Burial will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Twp. Visitation will be from 10 to 10:45am Saturday at the church.

Geraldine Marie Shartle
Geraldine Marie Shartle, 81, of Redlands, CA and formerly of Harrisburg, PA died Monday, June 12, 2001 as a result of an automobile accident in Berks County, PA.
She was a retired secretary; a 16 year volunteer for American Red Cross in CA; was a graduate of Lewisburg (PA) High School and Thompson Business School, Harrisburg, PA; and was a member of Bethany Reformed Church, Redlands, CA and the Who-Goofed Square Dancers Club, Redlands, CA.
She was born 12/20/1919 in Devils Lake, ND to the late Foster & Dora (Reichley) Musser. She is survived by her husband Paul R. Shartle; a daughter Karen Marie Zerger of West Chester, OH; a brother Marlyn Musser of Lewisburg, PA; and 3 grandchildren.
Service arrangements are pending at this time. Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland, PA is handling arrangements.

Angela P. Sheehan
Angela Pauline Sheehan, 72, of Highland Park, Camp Hill died Monday April 9, 2001 in Harrisburg Hospital, Harrisburg, PA.
She was a former employee of both the former Mechanicsburg Rehab, now Renova Center for Special Services and the former Pomeroy's Department Store, downtown Harrisburg. She was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland and Mechanicsburg Senior Center.
She was the widow of Russell J. Sheehan, Sr. and is survived by a son Russell, Jr. of Camp Hill; 2 daughters, Ann L. Shughart of Carlisle and Kathleen Gould of Steelton; a sister Constance Summerson of Renovo, PA; and 8 grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 am Wednesday April 11, 2001 in her church with the Rev. Msgr. Robert E. Lawrence, her pastor as celebrant. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
There will be no viewing or visitation. Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland is handling arrangements.

Theresa M. Shimp
Theresa Maria Shimp, 72, of New Cumberland died Friday, May 11, 2001 in Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Twp.
She retired in 1980 as a Sales Manager for the former Bell Telephone Co., Harrisburg and was a graduate of Catholic High School, Harrisburg (now Bishop McDevitt). She was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church and West Shore Senior Center, both of New Cumberland and the Telephone Pioneers of America.
She was born 8/10/29 in Harrisburg to the late William & Genevieve (Palmer) Shimp.
She is survived by 2 sisters, M. Kathleen Greenawalt O'Daniel of New Cumberland and Elizabeth Zlogar of Stratford, NJ; several nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews and 2 great grand nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 am Wednesday 5/16/2001 in her church with the Rev. Msgr. Robert E. Lawrence, her pastor celebrating mass. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Swatara Twp.
There will be no viewing or visitation. Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland is handling arrangements.

Michael J. Shope
Michael J. Shope, 38, of Lewisberry, died Saturday, July 7, 2001 at his home.
A graduate of Red Land High School and Computer Learning Center, Mechanicsburg, he also attended Penn State University, York campus. He was a member of Warrington Gun and Kennel Club, Wellsville. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was born May 6, 1963 in Mechanicsburg.
A son, Michael J. Shope, Jr. of New Cumberland; his parents, Jack R. Shope of York Haven and Mary R. Egenrieder Shope of Lewisberry; two brothers, David Shope of Etters and Daniel Shope of Wellsville; and a sister, Rose Beres of Ashland Wisconsin, survive him.
A memorial service will be held at 2:30pm Wednesday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., New Cumberland. www.parthemore.com
Visitation will be from 1:30 to 2:15pm Wednesday at the funeral home.

Harold Slepian, 85, of Harrisburg, died Friday, June 29, 2001 at his residence.
He was a retired assistant director, Bureau of Industrial Development for the Commonwealth of PA, Dept of Commerce; a coordinator for the PA Department of Commerce until retirement in 1978; an associated broker with W.H. Nelson Real Estate for 40 years; builder and developer in West Hanover Township; formerly owned Slepian's Dept. Store that was located at Second and Chestnut Streets; president of the Central Pennsylvania Realty Corporation; president of the West Harrisburg Market House Corporation and the Harrisburg Redevelopment Authority; former owner of the Broad Street Market; a WWII Army Air Corps veteran; a weather observer in the U.S. Air force a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Harrisburg; a director of the Casa Mia Grande, Las Vegas, Homeowners Assn.; Harrisburg Bridge Club; Perseverance Lodge # 21, F. and A.M.; Pilgrim Commander #11; Knight's Templar; Perseverance Royal Arch, Chapter 21; founder and the first president and honorary life member of the West Hanover Township Fire Co.
He was born January 6, 1916 to the late Adler and Rose (Lipsett) Slepian.
He is the widower of Gladys Vera Stroup Slepian and was pre-deceased by a stepson, Elvin W. Jones. He is survived by four nephews, Richard Marrus, Berkley, CA, Jay Marrus, Hurley, NY, Alan Marrus, Brooklyn, NY, and Arthur Slepian, San Francisco, CA; and several cousins.
Funeral services will be 2pm Monday in Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Millerstown.
Visitation will be 1-2pm Monday in the funeral home.
