Carl D. Fornwald
Carl D. Fornwald, 88,formerly of The Woods at Cedar Run, Lower Allen Twp., Camp Hill and Hershey, died Sunday, May 14 at Homeland Center, Harrisburg.
A Navy Petty Officer and Quartermaster serving in the Pacific during WWII, he was a retired Store Manager for the F.W. Woolworth Company with over thirty-nine years of service out of the Philadelphia office. He was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland, the American Legion, and was an avid golfer.
He was born February 10, 1912 in Harrisburg to the late Charles A. and Agnes (Devine) Fornwald.
He was the widow of Marie Bitner Fornwald. A brother, J. Nelson Fornwald of Wilmington, DE; five nephews and two nieces survive him.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am Thursday at his parish. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Swatara Twp.
Visitation will be from 9:30-10am Thursday at Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., New Cumberland.
Memorial Contributions may be made to his church, 1300 Bridge Street, New Cumberland, PA 17070 or to Hospice of Central PA, PO Box 266, Enola, PA 17025.

Joanne Louise Miller Frankenfield
Joanne Louise Miller Frankenfield, 47, of Ponder, TX and formerly of Camp Hill, died Saturday, May 13 in Denton Community Hospital, Denton, TX.
She was a Floral Designer with Gardenridge of Lewisville, TX. She was the previous owner/operator of JoBair Flower Shop of New Cumberland and West Shore Farmers Market.
She was a member of Camp Hill United Methodist Church and Ponder United Methodist Church, TX.
She was born February 1, 1953 in Mechanicsburg.
She is survived by her husband, A. Karl Frankenfield; a son, Jeffrey M. Dows of Middlesex Twp.; her parents, Charles R. and Doris M. (Shuttlesworth) Miller of Camp Hill: and an uncle, William F. Shuttlesworth of Mechanicsburg.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:30pm Thursday at Camp Hill United Methodist Church, Camp Hill. Burial will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Twp.,
Viewing will be from 6-8pm Wednesday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., New Cumberland.
Memorial Contributions may be made to her local church, Camp Hill United Methodist Church, 417 South 22nd Street, Camp Hill, PA 17011.

Helen Grace Gardner
Helen Grace Gardner, 36, of Harrisburg, PA, died Sunday, February 13, 2000 at the Harrisburg Hospital.
She was a former Assistant Manager of So-Fro Fabrics, Harrisburg East Mall; She was a 1981 Graduate of Red Land High School, Fairview Twp and Shippensburg University; she was Catholic and attended St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland; she was a member of the National Home Gardening Club; and P.A.W.S.; she had an extreme love of animals, particularly cats; she was an avid gardener and maker of crafts and she taught sewing classes.
She was born September 20, 1963 in Harrisburg, PA, to Robert W., Jr. and Grace M. (Laux) Gardner, of Fairview Twp.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by a companion Allen J. Cooper, Harrisburg; her maternal grand mother Grace E. Laux, Kingston; a brother Robert W., III, Dillsburg; two sisters, Margaret E. Babcock, Liverpool, NY, and Marcia M. Adams, Red Lion; two aunts; one uncle; several cousins; several nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30am Thursday at St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland. Burial will be in Emanuel Cemetery, Fairview Twp.
Visitation will be 6-8pm Wednesday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland. Scripture services will be held at 6:30pm.

Sara A. Garman
Sara A. Garman, 69, of Camp Hill died Monday May 15, in her residence.
She was a retired secretary for Harrisburg Hospital, a member of Mechanicsburg Presbyterian Church and an honorary member of the C.C.M.S.
She was born 1/24/31 in Sewickley, PA to the late Russell & Jeanette (Nesbitt) Akers.
She is survived by her husband Lawrence M. "Blackie" Garman; a daughter Sally A. Steiner of Ft. Levenworth, Kansas; 2 sons, Rex A. of New Cumberland and Richard M. of Mechanicsburg; a brother Robert Akers of York; and 4 grandchildren.
Services will be held 10 am Friday in the Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland. Burial will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Twp.
Visitation will be 6-8 pm Thursday in the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central PA, P.O. Box 266, Enola, PA 17025.

Jacob Raymond Gavlick
Jacob Raymond Gavlick, infant son of Ray Anthony Gavlick and Bonnie Ann Hazzard of Etters, PA, died Friday, May 5, 2000 at the Hershey Medical Center.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister Mackenzie R. Gavlick, at home; paternal grand parents, Raymond A. and Vilma G. Gavlick, Wormleysburg; maternal grand parents, Delbert B. Hazzard, New Cumberland and Bonnie L. Davis, Middletown; maternal great grand parents, Robert and Janet Crumlich of Highspire; maternal step grand father, James E. Davis, Middletown; three aunts and four uncles
Graveside services will be held 10am Tuesday at Tri-County Memorial Park, Fairview Twp.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hershey Medical Center Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, PO Box 850, Hershey, PA 17033 or to March of Dimes, 160 S. Progress Ave., Harrisburg, PA 17109.

Richard E. Gobat
Richard E. Gobat, 67, of Etters died Saturday 2/5/2000 in Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Twp., PA.
He was a retired mechanical Engineer for Harley Davidson Co., York and a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland, PA.
He was born 9/10/32 in Chicago, IL to the late Joseph & Mary Ann (Borcha) Gobat.
He is survived by his wife Alma L. (Maire) Gobat; 7 sons, Steven V. of Etters, Jeffrey A. of Dover, Paul G. of Maryland, Daniel G. of Atlanta, GA, Edmund G. of York, Alan G. of Etters, Matthew G. of York Haven; 2 daughters, Martha Miller of Etters and Elizabeth Snavely of New Cumberland; a brother Gerald of Chicago; 2 sisters, Patricia Benvirsie and Mary Ann Wallen both of Arlington Heights, IL; and 12 grandchildren. Burial will be celebrated am Wednesday 2/9/2000 in his church with the Rev. Msgr. Robert E. Lawrence, his pastor officiating.
Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Upper Allen Twp., PA.
Viewing will be from 6-8pm Tuesday in the Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland.
