Jason “Jase” William Hoffman
Jason "Jase" William Hoffman, 71, of Lancaster, died Wednesday, February 23rd, 2005 at his residence.
He worked at Community Hospital of Lancaster for 22 years and Lancaster General Hospital for 3 and 1/2 years.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Life Celebration Memorial Service from the Funeral Home of Fred F. Groff, Inc., 234 West Orange Street, Lancaster, PA on Monday, February 28, 2005 at 11 AM with the Pastor Charles Lisse officiating. Interment at Millersville Mennonite Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 9:00 AM until time of service.
Please omit flowers. If desired, memorial contributions may be sent to Hospice of Lancaster County, 685 Good Dr., PO Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125.
Fred F. Groff, Inc., is a "Life Celebration" Funeral Home.

Ruth Helen DeHaven
Ruth Helen DeHaven, 82, of Lancaster, passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2005, at the Manor Care Health Center.
Born in Reading, PA, she is the beloved wife of the late DeVonde Messner DeHaven of DeHaven Fine Cars. She is the daughter of the late Frederick and Augusta Mandrick Rosh.
Ruth was a lover of art and antiques and loved reading books. She painted as a hobby for many years. She had an antique shop as well.
Heartfelt thanks to Ruth Kauffman, sister-in-law, and longtime companion and care giver, Robert Stekervetz.
She is survived by her daughter, LaVon, wife of Michael Thomas of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; three grand-daughters, Michelle, wife of Dennie Carroll, Suzanne, wife of Tim Somoskey and Stephanie, wife of John Underwood, all of Ohio. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, Alexander and Madison Somoskey and Austin Thomas. Nieces include: Phyllis, wife of Ron Miller and Joyce Evans. She was preceded in death by her dear nephew Gene Kauffman.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

James O. Wright
Published: Feb 22, 2005
James O. Wright, 66, of 675 Church Street, Landisville, died at home on Sunday. He was the husband of Mary Fisher Wright, with whom he was marriage 43 years in September.
Jim was born in Philadelphia and was a graduate of The Phelps School. He was the son of the late Dr. William C. and Frances Diffenbaugh Wright. He retired from the Hempfield School District this past June where he was a custodian. He was also a retired security officer for the Lancaster County Courthouse. In earlier years, Jim was the proprietor of the Wright Lawn Barber Landscaping Service and the Wright Barber Shop, both in Lancaster.
Jim retired from the Coast Guard where he served 22 years as a Reservist. He was an "Exhausted Rooster" from the Lancaster Jaycees, and was the originator of the Lancaster Jaycees Fishing Derby at Longs Park. Jim was also involved in the Boy Scouts where he served as the Assistant Scout Master for Troop #4. Jim was a life member of the AMVETS. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved to cook for the scouts, deer camps, and church functions. Jim was a member of Westgate Baptist Church in Lancaster. His passion was Bluegrass/Gospel music. Jim was the coordinator for the Lancaster County Fiddlers Picnic and the Susquehannock Fiddlers Picnic for many years. He was known as "Cowboy" or "Washtub" to most people because of his unique bass instrument fashioned from an old trash can, which he played with great joy.
Surviving besides his wife are his son, James O. Jr., husband of Lucy Wright of Nashville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Daniel, Jeremiah, Amanda, Joshua (and Noah who is due in June of 2005). He is also survived by a daughter Cindy, wife of David Page of Landisville and grandchildren, Jenna and Zachary. He is further survived by an aunt, Phyllis Wright Scott, of Milton, Delaware.
Visitation will be held at the Westgate Baptist Church, 2235 Old Harrisburg Pike, Lancaster PA, on Saturday, February 26, 2005, at 9:00 a.m. with a Memorial Service entitled, "A Celebration of Life" to follow at 10:00 a.m., with Pastor Bob McGrath, Pastor Leonard Lewis, and Pastor Edward Brainerd officiating. Casual dress expected (suspenders optional). The National Bluegrass Musicians, Summit Hills, will be providing the musical tribute for the service and the reception. A private interment will be held in the Millersville Mennonite Cemetery. The family is asking that no flowers by sent; however, memorials may be made in Jim s memory to Hospice of Lancaster County, 685 Good Drive, PO Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125.

Steve A. Fabian

Steve A. Fabian, 56, of Denver, died Monday at home.
Born in Lyons Station, Berks County, he was a son of the late Edward L. Sr. and Annie E. (Haas) Fabian.
He is survived by his wife; Nancy M. (Martzall); children, Lisa Heron of the Philadelphia area and Mark Fabian of Reading; step-children, Kristi R. (Daryl T.) Gerlach and Jamie L. (Krista R. Trout) Pannebecker, both of Denver; 4 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; brothers, Edward L. Jr. of Denver, Becky G. Fabian of Bowmansville and Gary L. of Reading; half-brother, Christopher D. (Sandra Beiler) Flory of Denver. Steve was preceded in death by brothers Terry, Jerry and Dale.
Employed by Weave Corporation of Denver for 11 years, Steve had been a member of Swamp Lutheran Church, Reinholds and the Truckers Teamsters Union of Wyomissing. He enjoyed gardening, the outdoors and sports.
Graveside Service Thursday 10:00AM in Memory Gardens, Ephrata with Rev. Dennis L. Trout officiating.

Jacques R. Cutaiar

Jacques R. (Bud ) Cutaiar, 78, of 101 Corry Ave., Lancaster, died Saturday at Brethren Village. He was the husband of Joan MacFeat Cutaiar. He was Vice President of operations for 38 years at Mushroom Transportation. He drove Lancaster Tour Bus in the Amish Country and retired from Red Rose Bus Company in 1993. He was a member of VFW post 34 in Lancaster. During World War II, he served in the navy.
Surviving besides his wife is a son, James R. Cutaiar, of Harrisburg, and two daughters, Jacqueline Buhay, of Lancaster and Jan C., wife of David Shenk of Neffsville, and five grandsons.
Funeral Services will be held at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home and Chapel, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz PA on Saturday at 11:00 am. Interment in Landisville Mennonite Cemetery. A viewing will be held Saturday at the Funeral Home from 10:00-11:00am. Please omit flowers, contributions may be made in Bud's memory to Brethren Village, 3001 Lititz Pike, Lancaster, PA 17601.

Mary Kathleen Brunk
Mary Kathleen Brunk, 81, of Ephrata, died Saturday, February 19, 2005 in Conestoga View, Lancaster. She was a resident of Ephrata for 2 1/2 years formerly from Bradford, Ohio and Glendale, AZ.
She was born in Butler Township, Ohio, the daughter of the late Russel and Opal Hittle Shaeffer. She was the widow of Cline D. Brunk who died in 1974.
She was a member of the death by 2 brothers, Harold and Kenneth Shaeffer.
A Memorial service will be held at Evangelical Assembly of God Church, 939 Linden Road, Ephrata, Tuesday evening, February 22, 2005 at 7 PM with Rev. Kevin Sylvester officiating.
Interment will take place later in the Arlington Cemetery, Arlington, Ohio.
Contributions may be made to the Hospice of Lancaster County, PO Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604.

Ray H. Keiffer Jr.
Ray H. Keiffer, Jr., 61, of 121 Poplar Road, Honey Brook, Pa. died on Friday, February 18, 2005, in the Brandywine Hospital, Coatesville, PA.
He was born in Honey Brook, PA and was the son of the late Ray H., Sr. and Virginia A. Heuyard Keiffer. He was the husband of Carrie O. Hemminger. Keiffer with who he shared 39 years of marriage with on December 21st, 2004. He was employed in the produce department at Croppers Market, Guthriesville, PA for the past seven years and prior to that had worked 33 years at the Stoltzfus IGA in Honey Brook as the produce manager. He was a 1961 Graduate of Twin Valley High School, Elverson, PA and enjoyed car shows, swap meets and was a movie buff. He is a member of the Honey Brook Fire Company.
He is survived by his wife, Carrie O. Hemminger Keiffer; two brothers, Gerald L. Keiffer, husband of Cheryl Dewald Keiffer of Dushore, PA and Carl D. Keiffer, husband of Susie A. Shoff Kieffer of Honey Brook, PA; two sisters, Mary M. Witman, wife of Paul Witman of Honey Brook, PA and Tina L. Martin, wife of Jeffrey L. Martin of New Holland, PA.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 22, 2005 at 2:00 PM in the Labs Funeral Home, Inc., 141 Pequea Avenue, Honey Brook, PA. Interment in the Caernarvon Cemetery, Morgantown, PA. Friends may call at the Labs Funeral Home on Tuesday from 1 to 2 PM.
