Elizabeth Ferguson
Elizabeth Ferguson, 90, of The Glen at Willow Valley, Lancaster, formerly of Quarryville, died Sunday, May 7, 2006 at her home. She was the widow of James A. Ferguson who died in 1983. Elizabeth was a school teacher. She had taught in the Solanco School District from 1949-1973. She was a member of the Business and Professional Women’s Club, and also a member of Robert Fulton Chapter # 446 O.E.S. Elizabeth belonged to St Paul’s Church, Quarryville and had been the former choir director at both St Paul’s Church and Little Britain Presbyterian Church. She was a long time member of the Friends of the Fulton Theater.
Elizabeth was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Frank and Bessie Rheam Wheatfield. She is survived by her daughter; Phyllis A., marriage to Darwin Peiffer of York, and her grandson Derek Austin Peiffer.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Friday, May 12, 2006 at 11:00 AM from the St Paul’s Church, 1 West Fourth and Church Streets, Quarryville, Pa. The family will greet friends in the church social room following the memorial service. Private interment in the Quarryville Cemetery. Please omit flowers with contributions in Elizabeth’s memory to St. Paul’s Church Music Dept., 1 West Fourth Street, Quarryville, PA, 17566 or the Quarryville Library, PO Box 678, Quarryville, PA. Reynolds Funeral Home, 144 East State Street, Quarryville, PA serving the family.

Violet H. Bunny Fish
Violet H. Bunny Fish, age 94, formerly of Holtwood, went to be with the Lord on March 3, 2006 at the Mennonite Home. She was the widow of both Willard F. Harkcom who died September of 1977 and Thomas H. Fish December 24, 1992. She was born in Lancaster County, a daughter of the late Walter and Bertie Tshudy Wiggins. Violet was employed by the former Tidykin Products in Quarryville as a seamstress, retiring in 1979. She was a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church. Bunny loved to cook, read, and sew. Her favorite hobby was quilting.
She is survived by a daughter, Sandra L. Fisher of Lancaster; a grandson, Michael marriage to Diane Hohenwarter of Holtwood; 2 stepsons, Thomas marriage to Carol Fish of Strasburg and Jack marriage to Connie Fish of Fayetteville, GA; 2 step grandchildren, Craig and Tracey; 3 step great grandchildren, Patrick, Sarah and Rachel; a sister, Cleo marriage to Frank Reese of Quarryville. Funeral services will be held from the Reynolds Funeral Home, 144 East State Street, Quarryville, PA on Thursday at 10:00AM. Interment will follow in Rawlinsville United Methodist Cemetery. Friends may call at the Reynolds Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6:30-8:30PM and again on Thursday morning from 9:00AM until the time of service.

Ralph B. Folk, Jr.
Ralph B. Folk, Jr., 75, of 114 Buck Heights Road, Quarryville, died on Monday, May 29, 2006 at Lancaster Regional Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Thelma Myers Folk who died in 2005.
Mr. Folk had worked as a security guard for Armstrong World Industries. He also had worked at Buck Iron, and also was employed as a union electrician. Ralph was a member of the Quarryville V.F.W., and had served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. He enjoyed taking care of his animals and his flowers.
He was born in Lewistown, PA, son of the late Ralph and Margaret Fetters Folk, Sr. He is survived by his sister’s; Miriam DeArment, and Clara Moore of Lewistown, PA, his son Gary Reed of Quarryville, PA, his grandchildren; Jennifer Reed of Quarryville, PA, and Daniel, marriage to Bonnie Reed of Ephrata, PA., 3 great grandchildren; Tyler Mummaw, Hunter and Caitlyn Reed. The Funeral Service will be held at Reynolds Funeral Home, 144 East State Street, Quarryville, PA on Thursday, June 1, 2006 at 7:30 P.M. with Pastor Tom Lefever officiating. Burial will be private. Visitation will be held at Reynolds Funeral Home on Thursday from 6:00 - 7:30 PM.

Edgar W. 'Ted' Frank
Edgar W. 'Ted' Frank, 92, of 86 Cinder Road, New Providence, PA, died on Friday, April 21, 2006 as a result of injuries suffered in an automobile accident in W. Lampeter Twp. He was the husband of the late Theresa Rittenhouse Frank who died May 15, 1978.
Ted had been employed by the PA Railroad for 33 years, retiring in 1974. He had also worked for the Hiram Peoples Hatchery, in New Providence for 50 years. Ted had attended the Wakefield Bible Church, Peach Bottom. He was a member of the Eastern Lancaster County Rod & Gun Club, and enjoyed bowling, square dancing, and attending softball games.
Ted was born in New Providence, son of the late Jacob and Kathryn Bleacher Frank. He is survived by; his daughter Shirley marriage to Charles R. Rhoades of Quarryville, PA, his daughter Janet, marriage to Richard Hart of New Providence, PA, his son John R. marriage to Dolores Frank of New Providence, PA, and his 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild. Ted is also predeceased by his companion Vivian S. Martin, 2 sons, 1 daughter and 11 brothers and sisters. The Funeral Service will be held at the Reynolds Funeral Home, 144 East State Street, Quarryville, PA on Thursday, April 27, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. Burial will be in New Providence Mennonite Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Reynolds Funeral Home on Wednesday from 7:00-8:30 PM and on Thursday from 10:00-11:00 AM.

Valentine K. Gondek
Valentine K. Gondek, 84, of 1200 Bartville Road, Christiana, PA died on Saturday, November 12, 2005 at her home. She was marriage to the late Joseph S. Gondek who died in August 2004. Mrs. Gondek was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, Quarryville. She was born in Swedesberg, PA, daughter of the late Joseph and Rose Rodcowski Dybicz.
She is survived by 3 sons; Ronald J., marriage to Evelyn Gondek of King Manor, PA, Joseph A., marriage To Mary Ellen Gondek of Christiana, PA, Dale J. marriage to Elaine Gondek of Christiana, PA, 3 daughters; Claire, marriage to Fred Walter of Fenwick Island, DE, Geraldine R. marriage to James M. McCabe, with whom she resided, Carol, marriage to Joseph Pufko of Nazareth, PA, 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson, her daughter-in-law Kang C. Gondek of Lancaster, PA, and her sister Josephine Lukens of Arcola, PA.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 955 Robert Fulton Highway, Quarryville on Tuesday, November 15, 2005 at 10:30 A.M. Burial will be in St. Catherine’s Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Reynolds Funeral Home on Tuesday from 9:30-10:15 AM. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Catherine of Siena Church Building Fund, 955 Robert Fulton Highway, Quarryville, PA 17566.

Joyce A. Gossert
Joyce Anne Gossert, 72, of New Providence, died April 2, 2006 at Lancaster General Hospital after an illness of 18 months. She enjoyed working in her flower beds, camping, and spending time with her grandchildren. She retired from the Energy Assistance Program at the PA Department of Welfare in August 2004. She had also been employed by New Holland Machine Shop (now CNH), Raub Supply Company and Graphic Crafts, Inc. She was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.
Born June 6, 1933 in Honey Brook, Chester County, she was the daughter of the late C. Wilson and Inza (Troop) Martin. She was preceded in death by a brother, Donald R. Martin. She will be lovingly missed by her husband, Harry D. Gossert, Jr., with whom she celebrated their 50th anniversary on June 26, 2005; two daughters: Sharon K. marriage to Charles S. Williams, Fleetwood and Donna E. marriage to Joseph H. Sheaffer, New Providence and a son, Randall K. marriage to Tracy (Speelman) Gossert, McSherrystown; five grandchildren: Rebecca and Chad Williams, Shawn and Kelly Sheaffer, and Hunter Gossert; and a sister, Nancy Houck, Alum Bridge, WV.
Her funeral will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2006 at 11 AM at the Groff-High Funeral Home, 145 W. Main St., New Holland with Rev. Melvin Stehr officiating. Interment will be in Boehm’s United Methodist Cemetery. A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 7 to 9 PM and on Thursday from 10 to 11 AM. If desired, memorials may be sent to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Central PA Chapter, 800 Corporate Circle, Suite 100, Harrisburg, PA 17110.

Phillip J. Grabowski
Phillip J. Grabowski, 34, of Collegeville, PA, died on Monday, May 1, 2006 at his home. Phillip loved music. He enjoyed writing music and poetry. He also enjoyed playing the guitar and loved animals. Phillip was born in Norristown, PA, son of Rick Grabowski and the late Joanne Rock Grabowski. In addition to his father, he is survived by his step-mother, Cathy Raupp, God Mother Anne Yanek of Collegeville, PA, maternal grandmother, Mary Rock of Collegeville, PA, paternal grandmother, Frances Grabowski of Strasburg, PA, sister Kris Faye Grabowski of LosAngles, CA, step brother Michael Raupp of Langhorne, PA, and his step sister Marie Raupp of Philadelphia, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 955 Robert Fulton Highway, Quarryville, PA on Friday, May 5, 2006 at 10:30 A.M. with Reverend Ronald J. Moratelli, celebrant. Burial will be in St. Catherine’s Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Reynolds Funeral Home, 144 East State Street, Quarryville, PA on Thursday from 7:30-9:30 PM and on Friday from 9:45-10:15 AM. Memorial contributions may be made to Montgomery County SPCA, 19 East Ridge Pike, Box 222, Conshohocken, PA 19428.
