Robert L. Bitts Jr., 56, of 802 Huntington Pl., Lancaster died Friday at Lancaster General Hospital after a 2 ½ year battle with cancer.
He was part-owner of Frey Lutz Corp. for 25 years until retiring in 2002. Previously he was a plumber for 12 years at Zimmerman & Bitts.
He was a member of Conestoga Businessmen and the Associated Builders and Contractors. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He served in the Army Reserves. He enjoyed going to the beach, golfing, traveling and spending time with his grandchildren.
Born in Lancaster he was the son of Helen B. Kirchner Bitts of Lancaster and the late Robert L. Bitts Sr.
He was marriage to Latisha G. Fiedler Bitts for 17 years.
Surviving besides his wife and mother are three sons; Sean R. marriage to Christy A. Bitts of Mount Joy, Adam M. marriage to Kimberly S. Buckius of Lancaster and Ryan C. Bitts of N. Myrtle Beach, SC; three grandchildren; Conner R. Bitts, Lydia G. Buckius and Emma D. Buckius; one brother Jeffrey C. marriage to Debra Eshleman-Bitts of Lititz; four sisters; Patricia J. Boley of Lancaster, Jeanne B. marriage to Wayne Heaton of Lititz, Susan M. marriage to William Southward of Lancaster and Barbara B. marriage to William T. Plastino Jr. of Lititz.
Friends may call at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home and Chapel, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA on Sunday evening from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 440 St. Joseph St., Lancaster, PA on Monday at 10:00am. Interment in St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions in Robert's memory may be made to the Boys and Girls Club of Lancaster, 110 S. Water St., Lancaster, PA 17603.

Nancy J. Sweigart

Nancy J. Sweigart, 65, of 12 Marlin Dr. Reamstown, died Friday at 11:20 AM in Ephrata Community Hospital.
Nancy is survived by four children: Sons, Scott E.,Sidney Lee,and Steven L. h/o Tina M. Binkley Sweigart. Daughter, Susan Y. w/o Brian Franck. Grandchildren: Rodney E., Justin S., Samantha M., Nicholas S., Ian Lee, Amanda Renee Sweigart, and Heather Lynn Gerhart. Great-Grandchildren: Cody R. & Emily O. Sweigart. Sisters: Erla w/o Gene Fetty, Mabel Goslin & Linda w/o Edward Lash. Brothers: Robert h/o Jeanette Rettew and Ronald Rettew. Nancy was preceded in death by a sister Arlene Shank.
Born in Ephrata, she was the daughter of Lester and Anna Mary Herr Rettew. A member of Swamp U.C.C., Reinholds, She enjoyed baking & helping others in need. When she was younger, Nancy sold Queensway & Home Interior products.

Ellen L. Burkholder
May 28, 1944 - July 12, 2005
Ellen L. Burkholder, 61, of 844 East Main Street, Ephrata, Lancaster County, died Tuesday, July 12, 2005, at 3:50 PM in Ephrata Community Hospital following complication of diabetes. Born May 28, 1944, in Lancaster, she was a daughter of the late Linsey and Beulah (Peffley) Daniels, and was the wife of Melvin H. Burkholder for 41 years. She had been employed many years ago at the former Dutchmaid, Inc., Ephrata. Ellen enjoyed gardening and was a drag racing enthusiast. Surviving in addition to her husband are 2 daughters, Deeann M. Burkholder, fiancé of Bryan J. Bernard, Denver, PA ; and Zoe L., wife of John E. Sakos, Phoenixville, PA; and several sisters and brothers.
Memorial services will be held on Friday evening, July 15, 2005, at 7:00 PM from our parlors with The Rev. Robert Smock officiating.

Charles T. Becker

Charles T. Becker, 92, of Timber Villa, formerly of Mount Gretna Road, Elizabethtown, PA, died 9.16.2004. He was born in Florin, PA, a son of the late Samuel K. and Alice Tschudy Becker. He retired in 1978 from the former Crippled Children's Hospital, Elizabethtown, where he was a carpenter. He was the husband of Helen Martin Becker whom he marriage July 31, 1945. He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and the Elizabethtown Senior Citizens. He enjoyed carving, turning, building and at one time carved propellers at Sensenig Brothers. He also had Charlie's Cabinet Shop. Surviving besides his wife are nieces and nephews. Brothers Henry, Samuel and Walter Becker preceded him in death. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his Life Celebration on Monday at 11 A.M. from the Boyer Funeral Home Ltd. 144 E. High Street, Elizabethtown. Burial in West Green Tree Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Please omit flowers. If desired, memorial contributions to St. Paul United Methodist Church N. Spruce and Oak Sts. Anne B. Jennings

Anne B. Jennings, 76, of 644 Gentry Drive, Lancaster, died on Friday, September 17 at home under the care of Hospice.
She and her husband Gene celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary on September 16.
Anne was born in Pittston, Pa and was the daughter of Daniel and Mary Conway Buckley. She was a graduate of St. John The Evangelist High School, Pittston.
Anne retired from Student Services at Millersville University and had worked previously at Lancaster Catholic High School.
She was a member of St. Leo's Catholic Church, Lancaster. Other membership activities included St. Phillip's Guys and Dolls, The Friendship Club at St. Leo's, AARP Centerville Chapter, and The International Federation of Catholic Alumnae. In addition, Anne was a volunteer at St. Anne's Home.
Anne enjoyed traveling with her husband. She was involved in her neighborhood card club for 30 years, enjoyed crocheting, and spending time with her family, friends and grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to her husband, Eugene C. Jennings, is one son, Daniel E. Jennings, husband of Linda Firth Jennings of Charlotte, NC, and three daughters; Mary Jennings Broich wife of Stephen L. Broich, Columbia, Catherine Jennings Haldeman, wife of Joseph G. Haldeman, Lancaster, and Anne Marie Jennings Munro, wife of Robert M. Munro, Mountville.
Also surviving are eleven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. She is also survived by three brothers, John Buckley of Cranford, NJ, Michael Buckley of Oak Lawn, IL, and Thomas Buckley of Commack, NY, and three sisters, Mary Grogan, of Elizabethtown, Joan Flor, of Mechanicsburg, and Sister Lois Buckley, of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Silver Spring, MD.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Walter, Daniel, and Paul Buckley.
Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing at Charles Snyder Funeral Home, 414 E. King St., Lancaster, Monday evening from 7-9 p.m. The funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at St. Leo's Catholic Church, 2427 Marietta Ave. Lancaster.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Anne's memory to The St. Vincent De Paul Society c/o St. Leo's Church 2427 Marietta Ave, Lancaster, Pa 17603, or to Hospice of Lancaster County, P.O. I. Richard Priddy

I. Richard Priddy, 63, of Dover, died 3:45 p.m. Friday, September 17, 2004 at his home. He was the husband of Margaret A. "Marty" (Gamble) Priddy.
The couple celebrated their 18th wedding anniversary September 6.
He was born April 7, 1941 in Washington, D.C., a son of Audrey G. (Graeves) Miller of Silver Springs, MD and the late Ira B. Priddy.
Mr. Priddy retired from HRG Engineering where he worked as a professional engineer for three and a half years. He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Dover. He was also a member of White Rose F&AM and Zembo Shriners.
He was past president of the Homebuilders Association, Anne Arundel County, MD and past commodore of Holiday Pointe Yacht Club. Mr. Priddy was a U.S. Navy Vietnam Veteran. He was a Virginia Tech graduate where he received a B.S. in Civil Engineering.
In addition to his wife and mother, Mr. Priddy is survived by son, R. Lee Priddy and wife Trish of Pasadena, MD; daughter, Michele E. Lohsl and husband Eric of Hampstead, MD; son, Scott Mandel of Millersville, MD; six grandchildren, Joshua, Emily, Jessie, John, Andrew and Mackenzie; and a sister, Marie Dean and husband Harry of Lake Anna, VA.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the viewings from 7-9 p.m. Monday, September 20, 2004 at Emig Funeral Home, 47 N. Queen St., Dover and 11 a.m. to 12 noon Tuesday, September 21, 2004 at Calvary Lutheran Church, 9 N. Main St., Dover. The funeral will begin 12 noon Tuesday at the church. Burial will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery where veteran's honors will be presented by York County Veterans Honor Guard. Officiating will be his pastor, Rev. John M. Woods.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 924-N Colonial Ave., York, PA 17403; or VNA Hospice, 218 E. Market St., York, PA 17403.

John A. Bray "Jack"
December 26, 1928 - May 21, 2006

John A. “Jack” Bray of 424 Holly Drive, Ephrata, formerly Arlington, VA, died at age 77 on Sunday the 21st of May at Ephrata Hospital after a brief battle with cancer. Born in New Kensington, Westmoreland Co., he was a son of the late John A. and Regene (McCullough) Bray, and the husband of Rosita A. (Almaguer) Bray, since their marriage in 1953.
He served in the Army for 2 years in World War II as a Staff Sgt. in Japan and then graduated from Monmouth College, Warren Co., IL, in 1952. After that, the federal government employed Jack as a Geodesist (high precision mapping) for 36 years. He most recently worked part-time with R.R. Donnelley in Lancaster from 1999 until his illnessthis past January. Here in PA he was a member of Our Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Ephrata, a member of the Knights of Columbus, Father Daley Council, a volunteer with Hospice of Lanc. Co. and as hobbies, did genealogy research and traveled.
As a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, San Antonio, TX, he was the executive program director of activities, president of the Archdiocesan Sodality, organizer of the St. Vincent de Paul Society, an officer in the Knight of Columbus and received the 1965 “St. Thomas More Award” for Outstanding Lay Service to the Archdiocese of San Antonio. He then relocated to Arlington, VA, where he was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, for 20 years before retiring and relocating in Lanc. Co.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, John M. Bray, Ephrata, and Mark D. Bray, Glendale, CA . Another son, Matthew D. Bray, died in 1995.
VIEWING: Good Funeral Home, 34-38 N. Reamstown Rd., Reamstown, Thursday 7-9 PM; Christian Prayer Service at 8 PM.
MASS: OMPH Catholic Church, Church & Pine Sts., Ephrata, Friday, May 26, 2006, 10:30 AM. BURIAL: Cedar Hill Cemetery, Ephrata.
