Jane Dietrich
April 21, 1913 - June 18, 2002
Jane Dietrich, 89, of 12 St. Mark Avenue, Lititz, Lancaster County, formerly of Adamstown, died Tuesday morning at 2:00 AM in the Ephrata Community Hospital where she was a patient for two days. Born in Brecknock Township, Lancaster County, she was a daughter of the late Emerick and Ellen (Kessler) Zerbe. Her husband, Henry L. Dietrich, died June 5, 1984. She was a member of Muddy Creek Evangelical Lutheran Church, Denver, where she was a life-member of the Lutheran Church Women. Retiring in 1975, she was employed for 48 years by Bollman Hat Company, Adamstown. She enjoyed knitting afghans for family and friends, flower gardening, and was a member of the Golden Agers at St. John’s Center UCC, East Earl. Surviving are 3 sisters, Dorothy Z. Huber, Adamstown; Ellen N., wife of Howard W. Kern, Mohnton; and Maggie, wife of Kenneth Adair, Lititz, PA; and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 5 sisters and 6 brothers.
Jane's viewing will be held on Friday, June 21, 2002, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM in our parlor with the funeral ceremony beginning at 11:00 AM. Her pastor, The Reverend Jeffrey K. Lott, will officiating. The burial will follow in Muddy Creek Cemetery, Swartzville, PA.

Lynda L. Dietrich
May 29, 1947 - October 27, 2005
1965 Graduate of Cocalico High School
Lynda L. Dietrich, 58, of 3497 New Holland Road, Mohnton ( Cumru Township ), Berks County, formerly of Adamstown, died Thursday, October 27, 2005, in St. Joseph’s Medical Center, Reading, where she was a patient 4 days. Born May 29, 1947, in West Reading, Berks County, she was a daughter of the late Ralph H. and Geraldine M. (Davidson) Mentzer, and was the wife of John L. Dietrich. She was employed for 25 years by Dorma Door Controls, Reamstown, and was a 1965 graduate of Cocalico High School, Denver, Lancaster County . Her memberships include Gouglersville Fire Company, Adamstown VFW and the Reamstown Athletic Association.
A viewing will be held on Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM from our facilities. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, October 31, 2005, at 1:00 PM from our parlor with The Reverend David L. Burkhard officiating.
Burial in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township, Berks County .

Mel George Dietrich
February 3, 1967 - August 19, 2003
Mel George Dietrich, 36, of 30 Lausch Road, Denver, Lancaster County, died unexpectedly in his home early Tuesday morning. An autopsy conducted at Conestoga View, Lancaster, determined his death to be accidental. He and his son participated in a father-son soccer game at the Twin Valley Bible Academy, Berks County, on Sunday evening where Mel was struck in the chest by the ball. It was determined that this had injured his heart and caused a fatal dysrhythmia. Born in West Reading, Berks County, he was a son of Charlotte (Himmelberger) Dietrich, Birdsboro, and the late Melvin Dietrich. He was a husband of 11 years of Billie J. (Sensenig) Dietrich, having celebrated their anniversary on December 14, 2002. A Navy veteran of the Gulf War, he was also a reservist for many years. He had worked for the past 8 years as a truck driver for Wickes Lumber of Ephrata. Mel was a 1986 graduate of Twin Valley High School, Berks County, and held track record at the school to this day. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He attended New Joy Brethren in Christ Church, Ephrata. Surviving in addition to his wife and mother, are a son, Zachariah P., and a daughter, Hannah K. Dietrich, both at home; and a sister, Melanie, marriage to Michael Moyer, Sinking Spring, PA.
Mel's viewing will be held on Friday evening, August 22, 2003, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM from our parlors.
A memorial celebration of Mel's life will be held on Saturday morning, August 23, 2003, at 11:00 AM from New Joy Brethren in Christ Church, 35 New Joy Drive, Ephrata, PA 17522 (just off of Route 272 at the new CVS Store, north of Ephrata).
There will be no viewing at the church on Saturday. The family strongly requests that flowers not be sent, and that you remember Mel with contributions to the "New Joy" church at the above address.
Final disposition will be private.

David L. Dickinson
December 10, 1923 - February 20, 2004
David Livingstone Dickinson, 80, formerly of Stony Run Village, Denver, PA, died Friday morning at Jones Memorial Hospital, Wellsville, New York. He was a resident of Wellsville Manor Care Center, Wellsville, for several years. Born in Harmonyville, PA, he was a son of the late W. Harry and Elizabeth N. (Noble) Dickinson. His wife, Betty E. (Frieberg) Dickinson, died February 23, 2001. He was a member of Muddy Creek Evangelical Lutheran Church, Denver, Lancaster County, PA. He was a 1944 graduate of Nyack Missionary College, Nyack, NY. Ordained as a minister in the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, he served the denomination for 25 years in Ohio, Michigan and West Virginia. Retiring in 1988, he had last been employed for 25 years with Sears at their Pottstown, PA, location. Surviving are 2 daughters, Melody L., marriage to Darwin L. Fanton; and Rebecca M., marriage to James Wightman, both of Wellsville, NY; 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; a brother, J. Leonard Dickinson, Ephrata, PA; a step-son, Barry L. Blackburn, Aurora, Colorado; Susan (Blackburn), marriage to Thomas J. Burby, The Woodlands, Texas; and Cathy (Blackburn) Smith, Montrose, Colorado; and 9 step-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by 4 brothers, Merrill, Clifford, Paul & Donald Dickinson.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2004, from Noon to 1:00 PM from our parlors. Services will begin at 1:00 PM with The Reverend Joyce Seip officiating. Burial will follow in Coventryville Cemetery, South Coventry Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania.

Herman Eberly, Jr.
September 3, 1941 - April 2, 2006
Herman Eberly, Jr., 64, of 15 Railroad Street, Reinholds, PA 17569 (West Cocalico Township, Lancaster County ), died Sunday, April 2, 2006, in his residence of natural causes. Born September 3, 1941, in Millway, he was a son of the late Herman Eberly Sr. and the late Mary Derr Eberly, and was the husband of Betty (Eckenroth) Eberly. He was employed for over 20 years by the former Hess Foods, Ephrata, and last for Sauder Eggs, Ephrata. Surviving in addition to his wife is a daughter, Tami S. (Eberly) Pannebecker, Denver, PA ; 2 sons, Richard T. Eberly, Adamstown, PA ; and Michael T. Eberly, Robesonia, PA ; 7 grandchildren; also 10 sisters and 3 brothers.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday evening, April 5, 2006, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM from our parlors. The funeral will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2006, at 10:00 AM with Pastor William Sloat officiating.
Burial will follow in Mellinger's Cemetery, Schoeneck, Lancaster County, PA.

Julia E. Ebersole
March 29, 1920 - May 14, 2004
Julia E. Ebersole, 84, of 40 Shupp Lane, Mohnton, Berks County, died Friday, May 14, 2004, at 5:30 PM in Reading Hospital & Medical Center, West Reading, where she was a patient for 11 days. Born in Brecknock Township, Berks County, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin and Nora (Styer) Ziemer. Her husband, Robert J. Ebersole, died in May 1972. She was a homemaker and enjoyed flower gardening. Surviving are 2 sons, Charles R., marriage to Nancy (Barz) Ebersole, Mohnton, PA; and Larry J. Ebersole, at home; 4 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Florence (Ziermer) Huyett, and Elsie (Ziemer) Cooper, both of Mohnton, PA; and a brother, Enos Ziemer, Boyertown, PA. A son, Leroy R. Ebersole preceded her in death.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, May 19, 2004, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM from our parlors. The ceremony celebrating Julia's life will begin at 11:00 AM with The Reverend Elmer B. Reinhold, Jr., officiating. Burial will follow in Allegheny Union Cemetery, Alleghenyville, Berks County, PA.

Susan H. Echternacht
September 9, 1914 - February 20, 2005
Susan H. Echternacht, 90, formerly of Denver, Lancaster County, died Sunday afternoon, February 20, 2005, at 4:25 PM in ManorCare Health Services, Sinking Spring, where she resided for the past year. Born in Warwick Township, Lancaster County, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Serena (Smith) Cooper. Her husband, George W. Echternacht, died December 23, 1987. She was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Denver, and enjoyed sewing, gardening and crafts. Susan had been employed by F&M Hat Company and A. N. Wolf Shoe Company, both of Denver, and Miller-Hess Shoe Factory, Akron, she also was a baby-sitter for 43 children during her lifetime. Surviving is a daughter, Loraine F. (Echternacht) Steingraber, 2 sons, Clarence J., husband of Joan (Reider) Echternacht, and Allan R. “Skip”, husband of Linda (Sweigart) Echternact, all of Denver, PA ; 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-granddaughters.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, February 23, 2005, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
Services will be held on Thursday morning, February 24, 2005, at 11:00 AM from Good Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, Inc. of Reamstown, with The Rev. David R. Brumbaugh officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery Annex, West Cocalico Township, Lancaster County, PA.
