Paul W. Sandoe, 75, of 886 Narvon Rd., Narvon, PA died Thursday morning at the Ephrata Community Hospital emergency room where he had been taken from his home. Death was due to natural causes. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth M. (Waid) Sandoe. They celebrated their 52nd anniversary on December 1. Born in Narvon, he was the son of the late Adam F. and Maria E. (Smith) Sandoe. He was employed as a grinder at Miller's Foundry, Lititz, retiring in 1989. He then served as an Amish taxi driver. He was a member of Gospel Tabernacle, Narvon where he had served as a Sunday School superintendent and usher. He had served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. In addition to his wife he is survived by six sons: Paul A. marriage to Kathy Sandoe, Conowingo, MD; Dennis L. Sandoe, Narvon; Donald E. marriage to Darlene (Snader) Sandoe, Narvon; James V. marriage to Brenda (Schlimme) Sandoe, Akron; Timothy M. Sandoe, Narvon; Carl D. Sandoe, Ephrata; and two daughters: Mary Jane marriage to Larry Buckwalter, Honey Brook; Linda J. marriage to Eugene Harnish, Narvon; 12 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Also a brother: Clair Sandoe, Myerstown. He was preceded in death by a brother Richard Sandoe and a sister, Elsie Clymer. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Groff-High Funeral Home, 145 W. Main St., New Holland, PA on Monday at 10 AM with the Rev. Dennis Moyer officiating. Interment in Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 9 AM to 10 AM. If desired, memorials may be sent to Gospel Tabernacle, 895 Red Hill Rd., Narvon, PA 17555.

Sensenig, Charles A.

Charles A. Sensenig, 41, of 17434 Northside Rd., Onancock, VA died Saturday at Shore Memorial Hospital, Nassawadox, VA as a result of an accident he sustained at home. His wife, Cindy Diem survives. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of Ruth (Kinsey) Sensenig of Narvon. Mr. Sensenig was self-employed as a general laborer. He also worked on the boats and did some crabbing in Virginia. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a son, Steven Sensenig, at home; a sister: Darlene Mummert, Brownstown; and a brother: Glen Sensenig, Columbia. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Groff-High Funeral Home, 145 W. Main St., New Holland on Thursday at 10 AM with the Rev. Dennis Moyer officiating. Interment in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6 to 8 PM and on Thursday from 9 to 10 AM.

Spotts, Etta Rae

ETTA RAE SPOTTS, 90, of 99 Bethany Road, Ephrata, PA, formerly of New Holland, PA, died Saturday, March 27, 2004, after a lengthy illness at Ephrata Manor. Mrs. Spotts, wife of the late William R. "Bill" Spotts, was born in Compass, PA to the late James and Lena Harkins Jackson. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Stephen United Church of Christ, New Holland. She lived most of her life in the New Holland area. Surviving is a son, Melvin, marriage to Elizabeth Moore Spotts of East Earl; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a sister, Shirley Fisher of Lancaster. Preceding her in death is a daughter, Sandra Dietz; and a brother, John A. Jackson.

Weber, Mary H.

MARY H. WEBER, 92, of 1483 Reading Road, Mohnton, Lancaster County, PA, died Saturday, March 27, 2004 at Fairmount Homes of natural causes. Mrs. Weber was a homemaker and a member of Bowmansville Mennonite Church where she was active in the sewing circle. She also enjoyed Quilting. Born in Martindale, PA she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Mary Alice Hurst Sensenig. On May 14 she would have celebrated her 72nd wedding anniversary to Andrew G. Weber. Surviving in addition to her husband is four sons, Floyd, marriage to Salinda Stoltzfus Weber of Denver, Leon, marriage to Norma Frees Weber of Reinholds, John, marriage to Janet Frey Weber of Lititz, and Glenn, marriage to Lucy Yoder Weber of Mohnton; five daughters, Margaret, marriage to Glenn B. Gockley of Mohnton, Mildred, marriage to Herbert Horning of Reinholds, Mae, marriage to John Z. Weaver of Mohnton, Bernice, marriage to Daniel Valverde of Mohnton, and Linda, marriage to Larry J. Snader of Harrisonburg, VA; 31 Grandchildren; 68 Great Grandchildren; two Great Great Grandchildren; and a sister, Mae, marriage to Lloyd Martin of East Earl. Preceding her in is two brothers, Oliver and Elmer Sensenig; two sisters, Bertha Eckert, and Ruth Reed; a grandson, Nelson Gockley; and a great grandson, Trevor Gockley. Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend a funeral service from the Bowmansville Mennonite Church, 129 Pleasant Valley Road, East Earl, PA, on Wednesday at 10 AM with the Reverend Chester Yoder and the Reverend Ken Witmer officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining church Cemetery. Friends may call at the Church on Tuesday from 6-8 PM and on Wed. from 9 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her memory to the Fairmount Homes Sharing Fund, 219 Cats Back Road, Ephrata, PA 17522. Arrangements are with the Eckenroth Home for Funerals, Terre Hill.

Williams, Walter P.

WALTER PORTER WILLIAMS, 82, of 1113 Narvon Road, Narvon, PA, died Monday, March 22, 2004 at Ephrata Community Hospital with an abdominal aneurysm. Mr. Williams worked for many years as a traveling handyman with a variety of jobs all over the US. He retired in 1979. During the Great Depression he worked for two years for the Civilian Conservation Corp. He enjoyed woodworking and making people laugh. He was known on Narvon Hill as "The Tractor Man." Born in Scranton, PA, he was the son of the late Owen J. and Dorothy Porter Williams. Surviving are two sisters, Delores Russell of Ephrata, and Mary, marriage to Robert E. O'Brien of Narvon. Preceding him in death are two brothers, Edward Miller and Owen E. Williams; and a sister, Jennie Williams Glassman. Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend a funeral service from the Groff-High Funeral Home, 145 W. Main St., New Holland, PA, on Saturday, March 27 at 2 PM with the Reverend James Hertzler officiating. Interment will be in the Bridgeville Cemetery. Friends may call at the Funeral Home from 1 PM until the time of the service.

Andrew, Ruth E.

RUTH E.ANDREW, 74, of 433 S. Kinzer Ave., New Holland, PA, formerly of 204 Locust St., New Holland, PA, died Friday, June 20, 2003 at Garden Spot Village, New Holland, after a brief illness. Born in Groffdale, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harry W. and Sadie Brubaker Andrew. Miss. Andrew worked for 37 years in the warping department at the Frank Ix Silk Mill, New Holland, retiring in 1982. She was a member of the New Holland Mennonite Church for over 50 years. She enjoyed collecting clocks, playing Bingo, and putting puzzles together. She is survived by two sisters, Helen A. Groff, and Edyth I. Kreider both of New Holland; one brother, Mervin L., marriage to Arlene Rhodes Andrew of New Holland; three nieces, Judy Lohr, Sue Anderson, and Kathy Good; three Great nieces; and one great nephew. Preceding her in death is one brother, Harold Andrew. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral Service on Monday, June 23 at 11 AM at the Groff-High Funeral Home, 145 W. Main St., New Holland, PA, with the Reverend Ronald E. Zook and the Reverend Frank Shirk officiating. Interment will be in the New Holland Mennonite Church Cemetery. Friends may call at the Funeral Home on Monday, from 10 AM until the time of the service. Bowman, Bishop Aaron S.

Bishop Aaron S. Bowman, 79, of 616 Plymouth Dr., Myerstown, died unexpectedly of natural causes Tuesday evening. He is survived by his wife, Esther (Horning) Bowman. They would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on August 8th. Born in East Earl, PA he was the son of the late Henry G. and Emma (Snader) Bowman. He had retired in 1986 form Sterling Drug, Myerstown where he had worked in the warehouse. Following his retirement, he transported local people for 18 years. Additionally, he served in the Mid-Atlantic Mennonite Fellowship as a minister and bishop. He was ordained a minister in 1971 and as bishop in 1978. He had served at Sharon Mennonite Fellowship Church, Lebanon, where he was currently a member. In addition to his wife, he is survived by five daughters: Janet marriage to Kenneth Sheaffer, Lebanon; Carolyn marriage to Ernest Stauffer and Leane marriage to Eugene Musser, both of Ephrata; Laverna marriage to Herbert Brubaker, Myerstown; and Sharon marriage to David Martin, Denver. Also, 16 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren; a step-mother, Lydia Bowman, Terre Hill; three brothers: Henry Bowman, Manheim; Clayton Bowman, Lancaster; Edwin Bowman, New Holland; one sister, Elva marriage to Alvin Martin, Ephrata; three step-sisters: Ruth marriage to James Auker, Ephrata; Dorothy marriage to Lester Martin, Martindale; and Anna Stauffer, Terre Hill. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Bowman and three brothers: Ivan Bowman, Walter Bowman, and Raymond Bowman. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral on Saturday, June 28, 2003 at 10 am at the Pleasant Valley Mennonite Church, 140 Pleasant Valley Rd., Ephrata with Bishop Ivan Weaver, Doug Brubaker, Lynn Horst, Cletus Doutrich, and Deacon Caleb Stauffer officiating. Interment in Martindale Mennonite Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 2 - 4 pm and 6 - 8 pm at the Lebanon Valley Mennonite Church, 7821 Lancaster Ave. (Route 501), Myerstown, and on Saturday from 9 - 10 am at Pleasant Valley Mennonite Church. Kindly omit flowers. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice. The Eckenroth Home for Funerals, Terre Hill is in charge of arrangements.
