Clyde S. Kulp
February 22, 1936 - June 8, 2004
Clyde S. Kulp, 68, of 20 Ream Road, Stevens, Lancaster County, died Tuesday morning at 11:40 AM in Ephrata Community Hospital where he was a patient 2 days. Born in Ephrata, Lancaster County, he was a son of the late Walter H. and Sara (Sipling) Kulp, and was the husband of Bette A. (Marsh) Armbrust Kulp. His first wife, V. Dawn (Frankhouser) Kulp died May 10, 1992. He was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Congregational Church, Reamstown, where he was a past president of the church board, a Sunday school teacher and steward of the church. Retiring in 1996, he was employed for 42 years as an equipment logistics manager by Case New Holland. 1954 graduate of Ephrata High School, he was a 40 year member, twice past president of the East Cocalico Lions Club of Reamstown, where he received the Melvin Jones Fellow Award, the Distinguished Service Award, and the Lion of the Year Award in 1992. He also received the Pennsylvania Fellow Award of Lions International. Clyde was a former tax collector, auditor, zoning hearing board member and current Secretary-Treasurer of the East Cocalico Township Board of Supervisors. He was also an avid golfer. Surviving in addtion to his wife, is a son, Douglas S., marriage to Nancy A. (Youndt) Kulp, Stevens, PA; 2 step-daughters, Carole A., marriage to Gene Siegrist, Myerstown, PA; and Dana L., marriage to LeRoy Riehl, New Holland, PA; a step-son, John A., marriage to Susanne (Hatch) Armbrust, New Holland, PA; 6 step-grandchildren; and a brother, Walter S., marriage to Dolores Kulp, Akron, PA. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Harold and Andrew Kulp.
It was Clyde's wishes that there be no public viewing. The family will have a private viewing and burial (Muddy Creek Cemetery, Swartzville, PA) prior to the memorial celebration. The Celebration of Clyde's Life will be held on Saturday afternoon, June 12, 2004, at 3:00 PM from his church, St. Paul's Evangelical Congregational Church, 46 East Church Street, Reamstown, PA 17567-0275.
Clyde had requested that rather than flowers, please remember him with contributions to his church at the above address.

Harry & Anetta Lefever
Harry H. Lefever, Jr., 76, and Anetta J. Wingenroth Lefever, 79, of 6 Faust Lane, Reamstown, Lancaster County, died as the result of an automobile accident on Friday at 2:58 PM on Route 772 in Salisbury Township, Lancaster County, near Gap, PA. Mr. Lefever was pronounced dead at the scene by Lancaster County Coroner, Barry Walp, D.O. and Mrs. Lefever was flown by helicopter to Brandywine Hospital and Trauma Center, Caln Township, Chester County, where she died later in the day. Harry was born in Conestoga, Lancaster County, a son of the late Harry H. Lefever, Sr. and Edna (Sigman) Lefever. He was a member of Salem United Church of Christ, Reamstown, where he had served as an elder and deacon. He was an army veteran of World War II and was a life member of Post #3376 VFW, Ephrata. Harry was the parts manager for over 30 years at the former International Harvestor Company, Ephrata, later know as Heritage International. He was an avid bowler having been a member of the Ephrata VFW Bowling League at Dutch Lanes, Ephrata, and had bowled a perfect game with the Rocky Springs Bowling League of Lancaster. In earlier years he was know as “Lefty” for being the fastest left-handed pitcher in the former Reamstown Church Softball League where he had pitched a perfect game; no hit/no run. Lefever was a member of Ephrata Lodge #665 Free and Accepted Masons and the Lancaster Lodge of Perfection. In later years he enjoyed ping pong and woodworking, especially known for his decoratively painted pieces. Anetta was born in Reamstown, Lancaster County, a daughter of the late Isaac B. And Gertie M. (Frecht) Wingenroth. She was a member and former primary department Sunday school teacher at Salem United Church of Christ, Reamstown. A 1940 graduate of East Cocalico High School, she enjoyed bowling, being a “Cashew” in the Nut League of the Friday Night Dutch Bowl Teams, Ephrata. She also enjoyed playing Pinochle and other card games and dominos. She retired in 1990, after many years as a floor lade with Shirlee Manufacturing, Terre Hill, and the former C&B Trimming, Reamstown. They are survived by a daughter, Linda L., marriage to Samuel E. Weaver, Jr., Reamstown; 2 grandchildren;and a great-granddaughter. Harry is also survived by a sister, Louise, marriage to Eugene Hufford, and a brother, John, marriage to Ruth Lefever, both of Brownstown, Lancaster County. Anetta is also survived by a brother, Clyde Wingenroth, Ephrata; and 3 sisters, Mildred I. Wingenroth, Reamstown; Alma G., marriage to Clarence M. Summers, Lititz; and Patsy, marriage to Nevin R. McQuate, Denver, PA.
Anetta and Harry's viewing will be held at our funeral home on Tuesday, November 6, 2001, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. The funeral ceremony will be conducted from our parlor on Wednesday morning, November 7, 2001, at 10:00 AM with The Reverend Stephen E. Hollinger and The Reverend Gene Wilkins officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Memorial Park, East Cocalico Township, PA.
Linda has requested that flowers kindly be omitted with contributions in her parent's memory being sent to the Memorial Fund of Salem United Church of Christ, Box D, Reamstown, PA 17567.

William E. Kring
November 19, 1932 - March 2, 2003
William E. Kring, 70, of 417 Lauschtown Road, Bowmansville, Lancaster County, died unexpectedly on Sunday evening at 11:04 PM in the emergency room of Ephrata Community Hospital. Born in Brecknock Township, Lancaster County, he was a son of Catherine E. (Zerbe) Kring, Bowmansville, and the late William F. Kring. He was the husband of Gladys M. (Trupp) Kring for 49 years on April 25, 2002. Kring was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Bowmansville. An army veteran of the Korean War he was a life member of the Adamstown VFW. Bill was the zoning officer for Brecknock Township, Lancaster County, for several years. He had been a self-employed general contractor for many years and was the developer and former owner of Brookside Mobile Home Park, Bowmansville. He enjoyed vegetable gardening and had been an electric base guitar player for the Royalaires, a well-known local band. Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are 2 sons, Randolph E., marriage to Terri E. (Mountz) Kring; and Rod L. Kring, both of Mohnton; 4 grandchildren; and a sister, Nancy A. (Kring) Caffrey, marriage to Nicholas G. Schafer, New Holland, PA. A brother, Wilbert A. Kring, preceded him in death.
William's viewing will be held on Wednesday evening, March 5, 2003, from 6:00 to 9:00 PM from our parlors. The casket will also be open prior to the service on Thursday.
The funeral will take place on Thursday, March 6, 2003, at 1:00 PM with his pastor, The Reverend Robert A. Witmyer, officiating.
Burial will follow in Bowmansville Union Cemetery, Bowmansville, Lancaster County, PA.

Anna M. Lied
November 12, 1917 - April 5, 2006
Anna M. Lied, 88, formerly of Reamstown, Lancaster County, died Wednesday, April 5, 2006, at 10 AM in Maple Farms Nursing Center, Akron, Lancaster County, where she resided since July 9, 2003. Born November 12, 1917, in Myerstown, Lebanon County, she was a daughter of the late Samuel O. and Susanna (Martin) Stauffer. Her husband, Melvin Lied, died August 20, 2003. A homemaker, Anna loved sewing, flower and vegetable gardening and attended Reamstown Church of God. Surviving are 2 daughters, Patricia A. Thorne, Downington, PA ; and Carole L., wife of Earl R. Gerhart, Stevens, PA; a son, Terry R., husband of Deborah (Sheets) Lied, Glen Rock, PA; 3 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; a sister, Edna M., wife of Harold T. Smith, Ephrata, PA; and a brother, Henry M. Stauffer, Lancaster, PA. She was preceded in death by a brother, Aden M. Stauffer.
Anna's funeral ceremony will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2006, at 11:00 AM from the Reamstown Church of God, 57 East Church Street, Reamstown, PA 17567-0293, with The Reverend Arthur T. Karick officiating. A viewing will be held at the church from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.
Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery Annex, West Cocalico Township, Lancaster County.

Melvin Lied
May 5, 1921 - August 20, 2003
Melvin Lied, 82, of 20 Oak Lane, Reamstown, Lancaster County, died Wednesday morning at Ephrata Community Hospital following an operation at the hospital on Tuesday. Born in Red Run, Lancaster County, he was a son of the late Harry L. and Sallie (Hoffman) Lied, and was the husband of Anna M. (Stauffer) Lied, a resident of Maple Farms Nursing Center, Akron. They celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary on August 29, 2002. Mel was the owner and operator of the former Lied’s Upholstery, Reamstown, for 40 years. He was a member, Sunday school superintendent and elder of the former Faith Temple, Reamstown, and had last been active and attended the Reamstown Church of God. The 1992-93 Lion of the Year and 1998-99 Melvin Jones Award recipient, he was an active member of the East Cocalico Lions Club, Reamstown. Lied was also an avid hunter, fisherman and golfer. Surviving in addition to his wife are 2 daughters, Patricia A. (Lied) Thorne, Downingtown, PA; and Carole L., marriage to Earl R. Gerhart, Stevens, PA; a son, Terry R., marriage to Deborah (Sheets) Lied, Glen Rock, PA; 3 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Grace (Lied) Rathman, a resident of Ephrata Manor, Ephrata, PA. He was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Sensenig, and 4 brothers, Russell, Ray, Harry, and D. Webster Lied.
Mel's viewing will be held on Sunday evening, August 24, 2003, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM from our parlors.
The funeral ceremony will take place on Monday, August 25, 2003, at 11:00 AM from Reamstown Church of God, 57 East Church Street, Reamstown. Their will be no viewing on Monday at the church.
Graveside ceremonies and burial will be held from Fairview Cemetery Annex, near Denver, Lancaster County, PA, on Monday afternoon at 2:00 PM.
The family has requested that you not send flowers, but remember Mel with contributions to the East Cocalico Lions Club, Post Office Box 166, Reamstown, PA 17567-0166 or to the Building Fund of Reamstown Church of God, Post Office Box 293, Reamstown, PA 17567-0293.

Raymond N. Long "Flash"
August 19, 1912 - December 30, 2002
Raymond N. “Flash” Long, 90, of 485 Wabash Road, Ephrata, Lancaster County, died Monday morning at 6:45 AM in the Denver Nursing Home, Stevens, Lancaster County, where he was a guest since May 21st. Born in Trenton, New Jersey, he was a son of the late Ray S. and Flora G. (Smith) Long. His wife, Catherine H. (Scheidler) Kreeger Long, died April 26, 1983. He was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Congregational Church, Reamstown. Retiring in 1990, he was employed for over 30 years as a licensed projectionist by the Main Theatre, Ephrata, Lancaster County. He was also a self-employed electrician for many years and had worked at the former Roxy Theatre, Ephrata. Mr. Long also operated the family farm outside of Reamstown for many years. Having an avid interest in the railroad, trains and model trains, he was a member of the Rough & Tumble Engineers Historical Society, Kinzer, PA, and the Railroad Ramblers, Lititz, PA. He was also an amateur photographer and built puppets & marionettes. Surviving is a daughter, Lynnae C. (Long) Kelly; a stepdaughter, Louise M. (Kreeger), marriage to Allen S. Neal, Saylorsburg, PA; 2 grandchildren & 2 step-granddaughters. He was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Susan K. (Kreeger) Smith, and 2 brothers, Homer and Howard Long.
There will be no viewing for Raymond. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 5, 2003, from 2:00 to 3:00 PM from our funeral parlor. The memorial ceremony will begin at 3:00 PM with his pastor, The Reverend Kirk R. Marks, officiating.
You are welcome to also attend the graveside committal ceremony to bury the urn on Monday morning, January 6, 2003, at 11:00 AM in Salem Union Cemetery, East Church Street (behind Salem United Church of Christ), Reamstown, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
It is asked that rather than flowers, contribution be sent in Raymond's memory to the American Cancer Society, 314 Good Drive, Lancaster, PA 17603.

Linda Lee Long
February 9, 1951 - January 8, 2006
1969 Graduate of WIlson High School
Linda Lee Long, 54, of 205 Indiandale Road, Reinholds, Spring Township, Berks County, died Sunday, January 8, 2006, at 1:50 PM in Reading Hospital & Medical Center, West Reading. Born in February 9, 1951, in Sinking Spring, Berks County, a daughter of the late Leroy, Sr., and Gladys (Troutman) Long, she was a 1969 graduate of Wilson High School. Employed by Mt. Bethany Company, Reamstown, Linda also enjoyed arts & crafts, especially painting and woodcrafts. She is survived by a son, Kevin M. Long, Denver, PA ; and a daughter, Kelly M. Long, at home; 2 brothers, Leroy Long, Jr., Tully, NY; and Andrew Long, Adamstown, PA; and 3 sisters, Susan Donato, Schoeneck, PA; Cynthia, wife of Joseph Rogers, Reinholds, PA; and Cheryll, wife of Richard High, Denver, PA. Linda was preceded in death by a brother, Clark Long, and 2 sisters, Judith Firestone and Sandy Long.
Arrangements are being handled privately by the family at Linda’s request.
