July 8, 1908 - November 11, 2003
Clarence Royer, 95, formerly of Ridge Road, Denver, Lancaster County, died Tuesday evening at 9:35 PM in the Denver Nursing Home, Stevens, Lancaster County, where he resided since April 2002. Born in East Cocalico Township, he was a son of the late Harvey and Amanda (Demmy) Royer. His wife, Phamie (Sensenig) Royer, died April 25, 1997. Retiring in 1983, he was employed for 45 years by the former A. N. Wolf Shoe Company, Denver. Surviving is a daughter, Dorinda L. Royer, Denver, PA; a son, Haskell C., marriage to Dorothy J. (Andrus) Royer, Lancaster, PA; 3 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandsons.
A viewing will be held on Monday morning, November 17, 2003, from 10:30 to 11:00 AM from our funeral home.
The ceremony will be held on Monday, November 17, 2003, at 11:00 PM with The Reverend M. Craig Snow, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Denver, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.

Floyd L. Royer
October 5, 1934 - April 12, 2002
Floyd L. Royer, 67, of 419 South Reamstown Road, Ephrata, Lancaster County, died Friday morning at 9:25 AM in his residence following a 6 month illness. He was under the care of Hospice of Lancaster County. Born in Brownstown, Lancaster County, he was a son of the late Harold H. and Florence L. (Hornberger) Royer, and was the husband of Gladys R. (Keith) Royer for 49 years on February 27th. Royer was the president, owner and operator of R. L. Royer, Inc., Reamstown, a masonry and construction firm he founded in 1968. He built homes in northern Lancaster County, especially in the Denver area. He was the current president of the Berks County Mason Contractors Association, member of the mason Contractors Association of Central PA, Mason Contractors Association of America, Chicago, and a member of the Bricklayers Local No. 5, Harrisburg, since 1955. Community minded, he was a former secretary of the East Cocalico Township Planning Commission, a former member of the Zoning Hearing Board and formerly sat on the Water & Sewer Authority. A life member of the National Rifle Association he was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing. He was a charter member of the Big Hope Hunting Lodge, Lycoming County, and enjoyed NASCAR events. Surviving in addition to his wife are 2 daughters, Vickie L., marriage to Glen A. Fry, Reamstown; and Jennifer L., marriage to Frank Fields, Wyomissing; 3 sons, Gregory L. Royer, Denver, PA; Brian L., marriage to Jody (Rutter) Royer, Denver, PA; and Bradley L. Royer, Ephrata; 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandsons. Also surviving are 4 sisters, LaVonne, marriage to Benjamin Stark, Lancaster; Mary Jane, marriage to John Stauffer, Bowie, MD; Donna, marriage to Larry Johns, Stevens; and Debbie, marriage to Kenneth Adair, Melbourne, FL; and 2 brothers, Ramon, marriage to Roberta (Ranck) Royer, New Holland; and Randy, marriage to Mary (Bryan) Royer, Ephrata.
Floyd's viewing will be held on Monday, April 15, 2002, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM from our funeral home with the funeral service beginning at 8:00 PM. The Reverend Glenn A. Beard, Jr., will officiate.
The inurnment in Swamp Cemetery, Reinholds, PA, will be private.

Kathleen H. Ochs Royer "Cassie"
February 7, 1923 - March 27, 2003
Kathleen H. "Cassie" Ochs Royer, 80, of 19 Hinden Homes, Denver, Lancaster County, died Thursday morning at the Essa Flory Hospice Center, East Hempfield Township, Lancaster County, where she was a guest since Wednesday. Her death followed a brief illness. Born in Adamstown, She was a daughter of the late Paul F. and Edna (Schaeffer) High and the widow of Clair B. Ochs who died in 1958. She was a member of Peace United Church of Christ, Swartzville, Lancaster County. Mrs. Royer was employed for many years as a bar tender for the Adamstown VFW last working in 1995. She enjoyed crocheting and embroidery. She was a member of the Ladies Aux. of the Adamstown VFW. Surviving is a son, Marshall L. Ochs husband of Sandra L. (Knoll) Ochs, 5 Grandchildren, Jennifer Bennicoff, Jaime Thoeny, Angela Knoll, Tanya Ryder and Lester Steffy also 3 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by a daughter – Georgene Ochs in 1948.
Cassie's viewing will be held from our funeral parlor on Sunday, March 30, 2003, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
The funeral ceremony will begin at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 31, 2003, from our parlors with her pastor, The Reverend William E. Hoch, officiating. Burial will take place following the funeral in Swamp Cemetery, Reinholds, Lancaster County, PA.

Cecelia E. Roach
November 9, 1950 - June 4, 2004
Cecelia E. Roach, 53, of 16 Jenich Drive, Reinholds, East Cocalico Township, Lancaster County, was found dead in her home Friday evening of an apparent suicide following a lengthy illness. An autopsy will be performed on Monday morning at Conestoga View, Lancaster. Born in Lancaster, she was a daughter of the late George W. and Evelyn J. (Todd) Roach. She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, New Holland, Lancaster County. Retiring in 2002, she was employed for 30 years by the Reading School District as an 5th grade teacher for 22 years and she last taught 8th grade. A 1968 Graduate of Garden Spot High School, New Holland, she graduated from Kutztown University, where she also received her masters degree in 1975. She acquired her Principal’s Certification at Temple University. Cecelia was a member of the National and Pennsylvania State Educators Associations, the Reinholds VFW, the Ephrata American Legion and the Gouglersville Fire Co.
Cecelia's Life will be Celebrated on Saturday morning, June 26, 2004, at 11:00 AM from her church, Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 221 East Main Street, New Holland, PA 17557, with her pastor, The Reverend Matthew J. Lamb, officiating. Her urn will be interred immediately following the church service in the adjoining Cemetery.

Ruth Ella Goodwin Rudd
December 14, 1912 - March 27, 2006
Graduate of Kensington School of Nursing
Ruth Ella Rudd, 93, formerly of Croydon, Bucks County, died March 27, 2006, at 5:30 PM in Ephrata Manor, Ephrata, Lancaster County . Born in Bedford, PA, she was a daughter of the late Karl and Margaret (Diehl) Fisher. She was preceded in death by 2 husbands, Lewis C. Goodwin, and Joseph Rudd and a son, Robert Goodwin. A member of Fountain of Life Church, Burlington, NJ, she attended Abundant Life in Exeter . She was a graduate of the Kensington School of Nursing, Philadelphia, and had been employed as a registered nurse by Jefferson Hospital, Philadephia, for many years. Surviving are 2 daughters, Barbara (Goodwin) Bortz, Jacksonville, FL ; and Carol (Goodwin) Miller, Ephrata, PA ; 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2006, at 7:30 PM from Good Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, Inc. of Reamstown with Pastor Steve Beal officiating. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 7:30 PM.
Inurnment will be handled privately by the family.

Florence C. Rupp
June 29, 1913 - November 13, 2002
Florence C. Rupp, 89, formerly of Reamstown, Lancaster County, died Wednesday evening at 7:05 PM in the Denver Nursing Home, Stevens, Lancaster County, where she resided since July 1, 2001. Born in Reamstown, she was a daughter of the late Martin and Lida (Steffy) Fry. Her husband James G. Rupp, died January 27, 1983. She was employed many years ago as a knitter with the former Reamstown location of Hope Hosiery Mill. Florence enjoyed crocheting and working crossword puzzles. Surviving are 4 daughters, Patricia Ann (Rupp), marriage to Richard H. Fry, Mohnton, PA; Rosalee Mae (Rupp), marriage to Paul H. Root, Reamstown, PA; Darlene F., marriage to Ronald D. Lorah, Lititz, PA; and Vanessa A., marriage to Craig Hyson, Halifax, PA; 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a grandson, Ricky Enck, and a sister, Stella (Fry) Bixler.
Florence's viewing will be held on Monday, November 18, 2002, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM from our parlors with the service begining at 2:00 PM. The Reverend Patricia A. Dodds will officiate.
Burial will follow in Muddy Creek Cemetery, Swartzville, Lancaster County.

Caroline R. Ruth
January 9, 1924 - May 2, 2002
Carolone R. Ruth, 78, formerly of 165 Parkview Heights Road, Ephrata, died Thursday afternoon at 12:45 PM in Ephrata Manor, Ephrata, where she resided since January. Born in Lincoln (now Ephrata), Lancaster County, she was a daughter of the late John E. and Ida (Demmy) Root. Her husband, Ralph R. Ruth, died December 13, 2001. She was a member of Reamstown Church of God. Retiring in 1992, she was last employed as an environmental technician with C&D Battery, Leola. Earlier she worked as a floor lady with the former Dutchmaid, Inc., Ephrata, and the former Walter W. Moyer, Inc., Ephrata. Surviving are 2 sons, R. Robert Ruth, a resident of Moravian Manor, Lititz; and Rick, marriage to Marysue (Emmerick) Ruth, Ephrata; 4 granddaughters and a great-grandson; also surviving are 2 brothers, Walter, marriage to Esther (Winters) Root, Strasburg; and Carl G., marriage to Agnes (Baggett) Root, Ozark, Alabama. She was preceded in death by a brother, John Root, and 3 sisters, Margaret Jones, Dorothy Hutchinson and Grace Ruhl.
Caroline's memorial service will be held on Monday, May 6, 2002, at 10:00 AM from the Reamstown Church of God, 57 East Church Street, Reamstown, PA, with The Reverend Arthur T. Karick officiating.
Inurnment will follow in Lincoln Cemetery, Ephrata, PA.
There will be no viewing. Flowers are welcome and you may remember Caroline through your gifts to Hospice of Lancaster County, Post Office 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125.
