Marjorie J. Kinney, 82 of 5955 Leebel Road, East Petersburg died on Monday at Essa Flory Hospice Center. Born in Sharpsville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin F and Leora (Ayres) Jackson. She was the wife of the late Kenneth S. Kinney Jr., who died October 8, 1983.
She was a teacher for 25 years in the Hempfield School District, retiring in 1988.
She was a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University with a Bachelor of Science Degree and a graduate of Millersville University, with a Masters degree in Education. She was a member of Highland Presbyterian Church.
She enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren. Surviving are four sons, Dr. Kenneth S III, husband of Ann Kinney of Chicago, Ill., Dr. Thomas J, husband of Anne Kinney of Canton, Ohio, Daniel J husband of Bevan Kinney of Lancaster, PA and Mark D Kinney of East Petersburg, PA. Also surviving are 12
Grandchildren: Richmond-Marjorie-Elizabeth, Adam-Taylor-Trent-Matthew, Chase-Samuel-Gigi-Theodore, Austin. One brother-Dr. Benjamin F. Jackson, Naples, Florida and one sister-Margaret J. Hicks, Mount Pleasant, Mich.
A memorial service will be held at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home and Chapel, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA. on Thursday at 2:00 PM. Friends may pay their respects to the family from 1:30-2:00 PM. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Contributions may be made in Marjorie's Memory to Hospice of Lancaster County, 685 Good Drive, PO Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125

Philip D. Fowler, Jr.

Mr. Philip Deily Fowler, Jr., 89, of the Masonic Village in Elizabethtown, PA, died April 11, 2005.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, on August 28, 1915, he was the son of the late Philip D. Fowler and Edith Haddock Fowler. He was a graduate of the William Penn Charter School, Colgate University, and Temple University. After service in the United States Navy as a Lieutenant during World War II, he returned to Philadelphia and was president of Lovekin Water Heater Company, a family-owned business founded in 1842. Mr. Fowler was a prominent industry leader in the Pennsylvania Gas Association. He was a 32 Degree Mason, a member of the Guild of Ancient Suppliers, the Union League of Philadelphia, and a board member of the First Pennsylvania Banking and Trust Company.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, John Fowler, and daughter, Jean Fowler Green.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Evelyn Fowler, sister, Elizabeth H. Fowler, sons, Philip D. Fowler III, Joseph McMichael, Thomas McMichael, seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, two nieces and one nephew.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to: Hospice of Lancaster County, 685 Good Drive, Lancaster, PA 17601, or your local Alzheimer association.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Zulma I. Cora 62 of La

Zulma I. Cora, 62, of Lancaster died Sunday at home. Born May 10, 1942 in Guayama, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Gregorio Cora and Gladys Mendoza.
Miss Cora is survived by three sons: Gregorio, husband of Holly Sanchez; Alfredo, husband of Sarah Marty; and Alturo Marty and his mate, Kelsey Acker, all of Lancaster; six grandchildren; and two brothers, Jose Mendoza of Lancaster and Gregory Mendoza of New York.
Visitation Thursday from 6 - 8 P.M. at the Gundel Funeral Home, 415 N. Duke St., Lancaster with family memories shared at 7:30 P.M. Private interment at Millersville Mennonite Cemetery.

Miriam B. Miller

Miriam B. Miller, 2, the daughter of Stevie S. and Rebecca Beiler Miller, of 64-A Christiana Pike, Christiana, died Tuesday, April 12, 2005 at home of natural causes.
Surviving in addition to her parents are 6 brothers, David, Daniel, Ephraim, Melvin, Mervin, Johnny Miller all at home; 2 sisters, Elizabeth, Barbara Miller both at home; maternal grandparents, Daniel & Annie Beiler Beiler of Kirkwood; paternal grandparents, Ephraim & Annie Stoltzfus Miller of Christiana; maternal great-grandmother, Naomi Beiler of Quarryville.
A sister Rachel, and a brother Elmer, preceded her in death.
Services will be held at the late home on Thursday at 9:00AM (EST). Interment in Bart Cemetery. Friends may call at the late home from the time of this notice until the time of the service. Kindly omit flowers.

Harvey H. Grosh

Harvey H. Grosh, 79, died at 3:02 a.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2005, at York Hospital. He was the husband of Sylvia J. (Ernst) Grosh. Mr. and Mrs. Grosh observed their 55th wedding anniversary on September 10, 2004.
Born November 5, 1925, in York, he was the son of the late Harvey F. and Laura J. (Hursh) Grosh.
Mr. Grosh was a farmer for most of his life. He retired from farming in 1962 and worked as a truck driver for Zeigler Concrete Co. for 10 years.
He was a 1943 graduate of Donegal High School and was a member of Stony Brook Mennonite Church.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Grosh is survived by three sons, James D. Grosh of York, Jerrold L. Grosh of Nairobi, Kenya, and Pastor Jeffrey A. Grosh of York; three daughters, Judy L. Heindel of York, Joanne K. Moore of Corning, NY and Jennifer D. Strickler of Akron, PA; 17 grandchildren; two brothers, John H. Grosh of Elizabethtown and James A. Grosh of Palmyra; and two sisters, Blanche C. Hertzler of Mt. Wolf and Miriam E. Burkhart of Cochranville.
The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Stony Brook Mennonite Church, 15 Locust Grove Road, York, with Pastor Carlton D. Stambaugh officiating. Burial will be in Stony Brook Mennonite Cemetery. The viewing will be held Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the church. Etzweiler Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1111 E. Market St., York, is in charge of arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to Eastern Mennonite Missions, P.O. Box 628, Salunga, PA 17538-0628; or to the Stony Brook Mennonite Church, 15 Locust Grove Road, York, PA 17402.

Chauncey "RED" B. Griffiths Jr.

Chauncey "RED" B. Griffiths, Jr., 75 of Manchester died at 11:00 AM, Thursday, April 7, 2005, at York Hospital.
His funeral services and burial will be private.
Mr. Griffiths was born January 17, 1930, in Philadelphia, PA. He was the son of Chauncey B. and Jean (Bauman) Griffiths.
He graduated from J. P. McCaskey High School in Lancaster County in 1949. He worked for Pennsylvania Power & Light for 38 years as a Foreman of Electrical Repairs before retiring in 1990. He was a member of the National Audobon Society; Lancaster County Bird Club; Moose, Chickies Rock Lodge #307; Hawk Gunning Club; Goldsboro Fireman's Club; Wago Club; Susquehanna V.F.W. Post 2493, Mt. Wolf, PA and the Democratic Club. He was named an All-star in Football and earned divisional gold medals in Track and Field. Also, he was a Silver Medalist in State Competition. He was a member of the Prices' Boys in Lancaster which he traveled from Maine to Mexico. He enjoyed taking drives along the river the beauty of Nature and Bird watching. He was a very generous man to his family and friends.
Mr. Griffiths is survived by two sons, Michael Griffiths and wife, Marilyn of York, PA and Scott Griffiths of Algonquin, IL; one daughter Cynthia Bailey and husband, Richard of York Haven, PA; four grandchildren, Christy Bailey, Valerie Bailey, Heather Griffiths and Kara Griffiths and one great grandson, Jared Hubbart. Mr. Griffiths was preceded in death by a brother, David Griffiths and a sister, Charlotte Perry.

Robert H. Gehman

Robert H. "Holly" Gehman, 81, of 200A N. King St., Denver, died unexpectedly Monday at home. Born in Denver he was a son of the late Monroe and Mildred (Bard) Gehman. He and his wife Irene M. (Meckly) were marriage 57 years.
Also surviving are their children; Terry L. (Barbara Wallbaum) of Montgomery, IL, Jennifer G. (H. Edward) Burks of Germantown, MD, Greg T. of Denver, and Robin H. of Critz, VA; 9 grandchildren, Stephanie Pecharich, Melissa Harris, Christine and Anthony Burks, Robert J., Ryan G., Justin, Jeremy and Holly Gehman; 6 great grandchildren, Jacob, Timothy and Hannah Pecharich, Abigail Harris, Melissa and Robert Gehman; brothers, Clarence (Margaret Yost) of Lititz, Roger (Dolores Wealand) of Ephrata, and Tom of Colorado Springs, CO; sisters, Margaret Gehman of Lititz, Marion Lorah of Gouglersville, and Evelyn (Randy) Kegerise of Denver. Robert was predeceased by a sister Barbara Nelis and brothers Emerson and Marvin Gehman.
He retired from Sperry New Holland after 34 years of employment. Bob was a member of Trinity U.M. Church, Denver where he sang in the choir, was a member of the Staff-Parish Relations Committee, a former Trustee, former Treasurer of the Church, and former Chairman of the Church Council. He was a graduate of Denver High School, 1941 and Berks Polytech, 1948. A veteran of the US Army Signal Corps in WW II he served in the Phillipines and Japan. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing and working outdoors.
Memorial Service Saturday 11:00am in Trinity U.M. Church, 420 Main St., Denver 17517 with Rev. Dori Herman Wilcox officiating. Private Inurnment in Memory Gardens, Ephrata. The family will receive friends following the Memorial Service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bob's memory to his church.
