Corey M. Ebersole

Corey M. Ebersole, 28, of 82 Main Street, Quentin, died Monday, September 20, 2004 in his residence.
Born in Lebanon, he was the son of Nathan L. and Jan Eakins Ebersole. He was the warehouse and trucking manager for Ebersole Diversified Services, New Holland. For 3 years he worked for Gossen Cattle Co., Corn, Oklahoma harvesting and trucking.
He attended Northern Lebanon High School and was baptized at Gingrichs Mennonite Church, Lebanon. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Surviving in addition to his parents is a brother, Clayton M. Ebersole of Hanover. Maternal Grandparents, Marlon and Wilma Eakins of Estacada, Oregon, and Paternal Grandparents, Norman and June Ebersole of Annville, 1 Niece and 1 Nephew, and several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM from Gingrichs Mennonite Church, 100 Forney Road, Lebanon. Interment will be held at the convenience of the Family. Friends may call from 6-9 PM Thursday evening at the Church and also Friday from 10-11 AM Friday at the Church. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Susquehanna Valley Pregnancy Services, 132 S. Eighth Street, Lebanon, PA 17042.

Ruby L. Williams

Ruby L. Williams, 93, 635 Willow Valley Square, Lancaster, died Monday at the Glen at Willow Valley.
She was the wife of the late Raymond J. Williams. She is survived by two sons, Thomas R., husband of Joan L. Williams of Montville, NJ, and John F., husband of Carol Williams of Oviedo, FL; three grandchildren, Claudia Williams, Sanford, FL, Kathleen Williams Abel, New York, NY, and Christine Williams, Chicago, IL.

Florence E. Kurtz

Florence E. Kurtz, 91, of 346 W. Cedar St., New Holland, died Monday , September 20, 2004, at home.
Born in White Horse, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Anna Kurtz Snader.
She was a homemaker and attended the Community Bible Church, Leola.
She enjoyed knitting, sewing, crafts, games and reading.
She was married to Elmer J. Kurtz for 68 years last April.
Also surviving are 1 daughter, Jane married to Vernon Hibshman of New Holland, 1 son, Robert married to Mary Thomas Kurtz of Hollywood, SC, 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 3 brothers, Roland married to Pauline Snader, Richard Snader both of New Holland, Harry married to Tillie Snader of Leola, 2 sisters, Mary Miller of Lititz, Anna Harsh of New Holland.
Services will be held at Furman Home for Funerals, 59 W. Main St., Leola, on Thursday at 11:00AM with Pastor John Duty officiating.
Interment in the Zeltenreich U.C.C. Cemetery.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 7:00  9:00PM and on Thursday from 10:00  11:00AM at Furman's.
Please omit flowers.

Charles “Gene” Kennedy

Charles "Gene" Kennedy, age 23 of Pequea, PA, formerly of Glen Burnie, MD, died on Friday, Sept. 17, 2004 in a vehicle accident in Flagstaff, Arizona. He was born in Baltimore, MD. Son of Debra L. Kennedy with whom he resided. He worked for Sweet Liberty of Strasburg, PA. He went to the Little League World Series in 1994 with the Maryland Orioles. He enjoyed fishing with his brother, Christian and spending time with his friends. Surviving besides his mother is a brother, Christian T. Kennedy, at home; Maternal Grandparents, Thomas Harry & Patricia A. Lilly Kennedy of Ocean Pines, MD; Uncle, Michael P. Kennedy of Baltimore, MD.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Penn Hill Friends Meeting House, Route 272, Peach Bottom, PA on Saturday, Sept. 25, 2004 at 12 noon. The Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery. Friends may call at the Shivery Funeral Home, 111 Elizabeth Street, Christiana, PA on Friday evening, 7 to 8:30 PM and again at the church from 11 to 12 noon on Saturday.
Please omit flowers. Contributions may be made in Gene s memory towards an education fund being set up for his brother Christian, c/o Harry Kennedy, 17 Frigate Run, Ocean Pines, MD 21811.

June M. Crowers

June M. Crowers, 78, of 545 Terrace Avenue, Mt. Joy, PA since May 1990 and formerly of 2447 Eldon Avenue, Drexel Hill Delaware County, PA died Sunday, September 19, 2004 at Hospice of Lancaster County, East Hempfield Township, Lancaster, PA.
She was born July 16, 1926 in Philadelphia, PA the daughter of the late Richard and Margaret McCormick Perkins. She graduated from John Bartram High School in Philadelphia, PA in 1944. Mrs. Crowers worked as a law clerk at Blank, Rome, Comiskey and McCauley Law Firm in Center City Philadelphia for many years retiring in 1989. She was always serving others through her involvement in being a Girl Scout Leader for many years, a Sunday School Teacher and serving on the vestry at the church. She was also active in the Lancaster Red Rose Christian Women's Club. Mrs. Crowers devoted seven years to volunteering for Lancaster Hospice after the loss of her husband Kenneth J. Crowers of 39 years who preceded her in death August 25, 1990. She enjoyed quilting and belonged to the Lancaster Quilters Guild. Mrs. Crowers was a loving mother and adored her two grandchildren.
One daughter, Gail J. Irons and her husband Richard J. of Mount Joy survives her along with her two grandchildren Joshua R. Irons and Heidi G. Irons. One sister Jane Wright and her husband Bryant of Menlo, California, two nephews and one niece, also survive her.
A Requiem Mass will be held Monday, September 27, 2004 at 11:00 AM from the St. Edwards Episcopal Church, 2453 Harrisburg Pike, Lancaster PA with the Reverend Stephen C. Casey officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Joy Cemetery, Mt. Joy. There will be no viewing. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Lancaster County, PO Box 4125 Lancaster, PA 17604-4125 or St. Edwards Episcopal Church.

Jay Nelson Wise

Jay Nelson Wise, 84, of 11 Della Rd., Lancaster, died Sept. 16 at the Lebanon VA Medical Center. Born in Lancaster, he was preceeded in death by his parents, the late John and Dolly Diffenbaugh Wise, and his wife, Esther E. Adams Wise, who died in 1998.
A veteran of WW II and Korea, he retired from the US Army in 1966 as a CW2. He then worked for many US Government agencies, serving two tours in Vietnam. A member of American Legion Post No. 407, Paradise, and a proud member of the Commercial Travelers Assn. of Lancaster. Jay was a Christian who enjoyed golfing and family activities.
He is survived by a son, Craig N., h/o Jody A. Saam Wise, Lancaster, and two grandchildren.
Services with full military honors will be held at the Arlington National Cemetery Columbarium, Arlington, VA, on Oct. 27, 2004.

William N. Tindall

William N. Tindall, Sr., 86, of Neffsville, formerly of Souderton, died on Sunday, September 26, 2004 in Lancaster General Hospital.
He and his wife, Hazel R. (Dominguez) Tindall celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary in August of this year.
Born in Avilla, IN, he was a son of the late Samuel Lawrence and Lizzie Lourene (Dreyer) Tindall.
Mr. Tindall was self-employed as a public accountant for 20 years, retiring in 1983. Prior to that he was employed by Robert Byron & Company.
He was a member of Faith Baptist Church, Sellersville. In his free time he loved to travel, golf and go deer hunting.
Mr. Tindall retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 years, serving during both WWII and the Korean Conflict.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, William Tindall, Jr., and his wife Nancy, North Wales; and Lawrence Bennett Tindall and his wife, Rebecca, Owatonna, MN; seven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren; a sister, Pat Buckholz and her husband, Arthur, Sun City West, AZ; two brothers, George B. Tindall and his wife Mary, San Juan Capistrano, CA; and Lawrence Tindall and his wife Mary, Reno, NV; and a sister-in-law, Rose Koch, St. Mary s, OH. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Constance E. Tindall-Berry, who died in 1983 and a brother, Eugene Koch.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 1, 2004 at 11 AM in the Faith Baptist Church, 700 N. Main St., Sellersville. Interment will be in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Prospectville. Family will receive friends from 9:30-10:30 AM prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the American Kidney Fund, 6110 Executive Blvd., Suite 1010, Rockville, MD 20852. Arrangements are by the Sadler-Suess Funeral Home, Telford.
