Margaret E. Milligan
Margaret E. “Peg” Milligan, 75, of Lancaster, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2002 at Lanfair Care Center. She was born April 16, 1927 in Montoursville, Pa., the daughter of the late Frank and Susie Ickes.
Margaret was a member of the First English Lutheran Church, and a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, William I. Milligan of Lancaster; son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Marcia Milligan of Lawrenceville, Ga.; daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Rich Kimble of Somerset; four grandchildren, Brandon, Rich, Ben, Tony; two great-grandchildren, Zachery and Samuel; brothers, John (Susan) Ickes of Emmaus, Pa., Frank (Donna) Ickes of Williamsport; sister, Jeanne death by her parents; brothers, Richard, Alvin and Larry Ickes; and sister, Thelma Thomas.
Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at the First English Lutheran Church, 220 N. Columbus St., Lancaster, with Pastor Lawrence “Bud” Myers officiating. Burial will be at Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
Funeral arrangements were handled by Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home.

John E. Anstadt
John E. Anstadt, of 7879 Route 87, Williamsport, died Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2002, at Hahneman Hospital, Philadelphia.
Arrangements by Spitler Funeral Home, Montoursville.

James Edward Cyckowski
James Edward Cyckowski, 72, of Hughesville, died Oct. 23, 2002 at the Williamsport Hospital. He and his wife, the former Linda M. Hambridge, celebrated their 17th wedding anniversary on April 22.
Born April 22, 1930 in Havertown, he was a son of the late Joseph and Mary Hauck Cyckowski. Jim was a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers. He is also an Army veteran.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a daughter, Laura Linda Cyckowski at home; two brothers, Joseph of Wilmington, Del., and Richard of Upper Darby; two sisters, Jean Taylor of Brooksville, Fla., and Marie Cyckowski of Hughesville; a nephew, Andrew Cyckowski and a niece, Diane Cyckowski.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hughesville, with the Rev. Glenn McCreary of the Church of the Resurrection officiating. Friends may call from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at McCarty-Thomas’, 557 E. Water St., Hughesville.

Terry Lynn Heck
Terry Lynn Heck, 45, of Knoxville, Pa., died Thursday, Oct. 24, 2002.
Surviving are his wife; two sons; a grandson; seven siblings; and other relatives.
Friends are invited to call on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2002 from noon to 1 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Mansfield. Funeral services will immediately follow at the church.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Vern Heck, R.R. 1 Box 353 A., Covington, PA 16917. Contributions will be designated for expenses and the church.
Funeral services are under the direction of Buckheit’s Funeral Chapel, Mansfield.

Richard ‘Rick’ L. Emert
Richard “Rick” L. Emert, age 51, of R.R. 2, Mansfield, Pa., died unexpectedly on Thursday, Oct. 24, 2002 in Batavia, N.Y.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments, P.C., 637 S. Main St., and are incomplete at this time.

Regina E. Schon
Regina E. Schon, 91, of 373 Schon Lane, Cogan Station, died Oct. 22, 2002, at Manor Care South. Born in Cogan Station on Oct. 4, 1911 she was the daughter of Arthur and Elizabeth Waltz Ulmer.
Regina was the widow of John J. Schon, who died in March 2000.
She was a member of the Hepburn Baptist Church and the Lycova Grange #2006.
Surviving are four sons, John A. (Melva), Celcil E. (Fern), Clair L. (Kathryn), and Clyde W. (Ruth) all of Cogan Station; a daughter, Thelma (Lynn) Houseknecht of DuBoistown; 13 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday at Hepburn Baptist Church, Cogan Station, with Rev. Mark Mahserjiah-Smith, officiating. Burial will be in Blooming Grove Cemetery, Hepburn Twp. at the convenience of the family. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, at Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad St., Montoursville.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hepburn Baptist Church, 2917 Pleasant Valley Road, Cogan Station, PA 17728.

Orrin B. Boyer
Orrin B. Boyer, 89, of Shadle Road, Jersey Shore, died Thursday in the Williamsport Hospital.
He was born in Colorado, one of nine children, on May 11, 1913 to William and Ina Marie Clemens Boyer.
His first wife, Helen Fenstermaker, died January 16, 1978. He remarried on Dec. 28, 1979 to Lois Schaefer, who survives.
He was a First Class Petty Officer with the SeaBees during WW II. He retired as a Nuclear Inspector from Anchor Darling Valve Co. with over 30 years with the firm. He loved his faith and was a member of the Fairlawn Community Christian and Missionary Alliance Church of Cogan Station where he was an Elder and Taught Sunday School. In his early life, he was also a member of the Oriole United Methodist Church where he taught sunday school, sang in the choir and performed lay ministering. He enjoyed his garden, his tractor, wintering in Florida and his chickens. He was a Philly’s Fan and loved to go with his buddies on Friday mornings to the donut shop.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Gale O. Boyer; two daughters, Cleota B. Keefer and Joy D. Moffett, all of the valley; one stepdaughter, Kathy A. Croscutt of Washington, Pa.; one stepson, Jeffrey Schaefer of Williamsport; one brother, Melvin Boyer of Oclawaha, Fla.; and two sisters, Grace Taylor of Oxford, Pa. and Alberta of California. There are 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Mr. Boyer’s life will be held at noon Saturday, Oct. 26, 2002 from the Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home, 1002 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore, with his pastor, the Rev. John W. Brokopp Sr., officiating. Interment will in in Limestone Cemetery, Rauchtown. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 a.m. until noon.
Contributions may be made to either Fairlawn C.M.&A. Church, 353 Pleasant Hill Road, Cogan Station, PA 17728, or the Oriole United Methodist Church, 29 Main Road, Jersey Shore, PA 17740.

Ivah Y. Deane
Ivah Y. Deane, 97, died Oct. 24, 2002 at the Green Home. She was born April 1, 1905, the daughter of the late Mark A. and Edna Frost Youmans.
She was born and grew up in the Mansfield area, graduating from Mansfield High School and Mansfield Normal (now Mansfield University), and she taught for three years in Covington High School. She marriage Harold A. Deane in August 1929 and lived in Wellsboro. She was a part time employee for the Green Free Library for several years.
In 1941, she moved to Rochester, N.Y. and became engaged as Research Librarian for the General Dynamics Corporation. Upon retirement in 1963, she came back to Wellsboro and occupied the old Deane homestead.
Ivah was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Wellsboro Art Club, Friday Club, Tioga County Historical Society and Friends of the Laurels, Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital.
She was predeceased by her husband, Harold, and a brother, Raymond Youmans.
Surviving are a sister-in-law, Eileen Youmans; three nieces, Mrs. Carlyle Woodward (Barbara) of Fla., Mrs. William Taylor (Phyllis) of Elmira, N.Y., and Charles Burial in Wellsboro Cemetery.
The family will furnish the flowers. Memorials may be contributed to the Green Free Library, 134 Main St., Wellsboro, PA 16901, or the Tioga County Historical Society, 120 Main St., Wellsboro, PA 16901.
Arrangements by Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, a “Life Celebration Home,” 139 Main St., Wellsboro.
