Catharine Ann Sadler
Catharine Ann Sadler, a long time resident of Dunwoody and Atlanta, Ga., died Jan. 20, 2003. She was born Catharine Ann Campbell on Aug. 23, 1907, in Cascade Township, Pa. Miss Campbell marriage Myron T. Sadler on Nov. 15, 1934 and became Mrs. Catharine Ann Sadler. Catharine and Myron departed Williamsport in 1937 to travel from the east coast to the west and back and then with their five children settled in Atlanta in 1950. She will be greatly missed by all.
Her husband, Myron T. Sadler; her son, James Sadler and her daughter, Mary Lee Reusing preceded her in death.
Surviving are her daughter, Margaret Sadler of Dunwoody, Ga.; sons and their spouses, Dan and Mary Sadler of Atlanta, Ga., John Sadler and Christa Bartels of Long Beach, Calif.; daughter-in-law, Elaine Sadler Henderson of Cumming, Ga.; her sister-in-law, Ella Campbell of Williamsport; nephews, Jim Allison of Williamsport, Raymond and Anne Allison of Williamsport, Dick and Carol Allison of Jacksonville, Fla., Charles and Mary Louise Stewart of Cogan Station, Sally and John Johns of Montoursville and Betty and Vernon Jackson of Lexington, Ky.
Grandchildren and their spouses in the Atlanta, Ga. area include Cathe and Dale James, Carolyn and Charlie Lewis, Cindy and Richard Shaw, Michael Reusing, Thomas and Holly Reusing, Robert and Ammee Reusing, Scott and Chris Sadler, Taylor and Denise Sadler and Virginia Sadler and great grandchildren, Alexandra and Victoria James, Cemetery, Atlanta, Ga., on Jan. 23, 2003.

Albert C. (Skeet) Lamb
Albert C. (Skeet) Lamb, age 74, of Wyalusing, passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2003, surrounded by his loving and devoted family at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA.
He was born on July 11, 1928, in Troy Township, a son of the late Albert Winfield and Adis Lattimer Lamb.
On February 19, 1950, Albert marriage the former Ruth Glosenger in Sayre. It was a loving and devoted marriage that lasted 46 years. He was preceded in death by his wife Ruth on December 10, 1996.
He owned and operated a service station in Wyalusing for many years. He offered O.J.T. (on the job training) for local youth at his station.
Mr. Lamb was a member of the Wyalusing United Methodist Church. His other memberships included: Wyalusing Masonic Lodge No. 618 F.&A.M., and is a Past Master and served as Lodge Treasurer; Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of Williamsport; the Wyalusing Lions Club, and was President and Director, and was a recipient of the Melvin Jones Fellowship Award; and was an active member of the Wyalusing Fire and Ambulance Associations for many years.
Surviving are his children: Pamela S. Lamb, of Lairdsville, PA; Andrea J. (Emery Sr.) Thorn, of Laceyville, PA; Vickie A. (Raymond) Morris, of Quicks Bend, PA; Diana J. Lamb, of Wyalusing, PA; Jeffrey A. (Dawn) Lamb, of Stevensville, PA; Allyson K. (Kenneth) Brooks, of Stevensville, PA; Gregory C. (Jeanne) Lamb, of Bakersfield, CA; 11 grandchildren: Anthony K. Lamb, Darcie L. Welsted, Dakotah L. Brown, Lindsay L. Brown, J. Andrew Lamb, Rachell T. Lamb, Jonathan M. Lamb, Casey L. Ott, Bobbi Jo Ott, Kayla L. Burnight, Timothy J. Burnight; 2 great grandchildren: Olivia Ruth Lamb and Madison Alexis Welsted; a sister: Doris Craig; a brother: Roger Lamb; several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a brother Samuel Lamb and a sister Harriet Fay.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2003, at 2:00 p.m. in the Wyalusing United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Russell C. Pierce, his pastor officiating.
Interment will follow in died in 1983.
Ray retired in 1974 from Avco Lycoming. He was a member of the Church of the Ascension and the Antlers Club. He was a lifetime member of Local 140 American Federation of Musicians. He had the Ray Saar Trio for many years, played in the WPA Band in the 1930s and in the Repasz Band, and taught guitar, banjo and bass.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Raeneda P. and Donald Barger of DuBoistown. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Raymond Eugene, four sisters and a brother.
The Liturgy of the Word will be said at 11 a.m. Thursday in Ascension Church, 2101 Linn St., by the Rev. Charles J. Cummings. Burial will be in Twin Hills Memorial Park.
Friends may call at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St. from 9:30 to 10:30 am. Thursday.
The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorials be given to the church or the charity of one’s choice.

Jeffery Michael Smith
Jeffery Michael Smith, 45, of Erie, died Sunday, April 13, 2003 at home.
He was born April 28, 1957, in Williamsport, son to Mr. and Mrs. Charles Smith, of Williamsport, and the late Phyllis Reed.
Also surviving are his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Verna Klinger, of Muncy; Carolyn Hook, his companion for 24 years, of Erie; a step-son Jermey Speicer, at home; three brothers, Gary, Ryan and Robert Smith, all of Williamsport; a sister, Dawn (John) McStay of Williamsport; a step-brother, Paul (Cindy) Young II, of Loyalsock; and several nieces and nephews. He enjoyed working with his hands and fishing.
Arrangements are being handled by Burton Funeral Home of Erie. Services will be at the convenience of the family.

James Lewis Baker
James “Jim” Lewis Baker, 70, of Tioga, died Tuesday, April 15, 2003.
Surviving are his wife, three sons, two daughters, 15 grandchildren, two brothers, two sisters, and his canine buddy.
Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 17, at the Buckheit Funeral Chapel, and again from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, April 18, with the funeral service immediately following.

Pauline B. Heffner
Pauline B. Heffner, 77, of Morris Run, died June 8, 2002, at Broad Acres Nursing Home, Wellsboro. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, John and Diane Heffner of Addison; a grandson, John Heffner Jr. of Palestine, TX; a sister, Marie Burial at 9:30 a.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Morris Run with Rev. Peter Menghini, officiating. Burial will be held in the Parish Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Broad Acres Nursing Home, c/o Mrs. Farrer, RR 3, Rt. 6, Wellsboro, Pa., 16901.

Lynn Edward Sager
Lynn Edward Sager, 53, of Creek Road, Carlisle, died Friday, June 7, 2002, in The Carlisle Regional Medical Center. He was born on March 20, 1949, in Muncy, son of the late Fred K. Sager and Thelma Snyder Sager, both of Muncy. He received a master’s degree in business administration from Penn State University and was retired due to disability from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. He was a Vietnam-era veteran who attained the rank of Captain in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the 11th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry, North-South Skirmish Association. Surviving, in addition to his mother, Thelma Sager Ryder, are his wife, Linda Elaine Whyte; a son, Morgan S. Sager, at home; a brother, Wayne Kenneth Sager of Muncy; a niece, Melanie Starner of Hampton and a nephew, Douglas E. Sager of Denver, CO. Also surviving are a step-father, Lewis Ryder and two step-brothers, Darcy and Dennis Ryder, all of Muncy. Services will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday, June 11, 2002, at the Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home, 219 North Hanover St., Carlisle. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 1517 Cedar Cliff Drive, Camp Hill, PA 17011.

Jesse D. Weaver
Jesse D. Weaver, 67, of 3590 Lycoming Creek Road, Cogan Station, was pronounced dead at his home on Saturday, June 8, 2002. Born April 5, 1935, in Williamsport, he was a son of John and Helen Geiswhite Weaver. Jesse had been employed by the West Co. for over 30 years. He was an Army veteran of the Korean conflict and a member of Post 1, American Legion and the 40 et 8. Surviving are his father and step-mother, Isabella, of Turbotville; two daughters, Penny Shaffer of Jersey Shore and Susan Weaver of Montgomery; four brothers; three sisters; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Jesse David Weaver, in 1988. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday from Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., Williamsport.

Frederick Alvin Pepperman
Frederick Alvin Pepperman, 49, of Confair Parkway, formerly of 2015 Sheridan St., loving son, father, husband and brother, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, June 8, 2002. Born on May 4, 1953, in Williamsport, he was the son of George Alvin and Nancy Jane Heim Pepperman. Fred loved nature and traveling and was an avid reader and historian. He was a member of the NRA and the National Wildlife Assn. He was baptized and a former member of First Baptist Church. Fred served in the Army during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Korea. He graduated from Williamsport High School in 1971 and was currently employed by Liberty Business. He will be greatly missed and remembered dearly. Fred is survived by his mother, Nancy J. Pepperman and step-father Gordon Motter of Montoursville; a son, Tom Pepperman of Maui, HI; two sisters, Karen Lee Pepperman of Williamsport and Georgea Thomas (Roland E., Jr.) of Virginia Beach, VA; a brother George William (Minerva) of Dayton, OH; one niece, Ali Pepperman; three nephews, Justin Pepperman, Logan G. Thomas and Steven S. Wheeland and former wife and friend Yong S. Pepperman. He was preceded in death by his father, George, in 1974. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the Maneval Funeral Home, "A Life Celebration Home," 500 W. Fourth St., with the Rev. Larry K. Waltz, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. The family will provide the flowers. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Lycoming County SPCA, 2805 Reach Road, Williamsport, PA 17701. "Life is short but sweet for certain."
