Ruthann Adams Mangelsdorf, 72, of Latrobe died Aug. 23, 2002. Born Oct. 25, 1939 in Colterville, she was the daughter of William Adams and Ella Eddy Adams. She was retired from the University of Pittsburgh after 40 years of service. She was the owner of Renaissance Woman, a women's boutique, for 12 years and a board member for the Southside Chamber of Commerce. Surviving are her husband, Clark Mangelsdorf of Latrobe; and sisters, Mary Ann Garcia of Jefferson Borough and Carole Smith of Perrysville. Service was held at Latrobe United Methodist Church and Heinz Chapel on the University of Pittsburgh campus. Linda Melendez, 56, of West Deer Township, died Aug. 28, 2002. Premick
Josephine "Jay" Premick of Verona died Sept. 2, 2002, at St. Margaret Seneca Place in Penn Hills. Born Sept. 23, 1920, in Slickville, she was the daughter of Frank and Mary Novak Kirn. Mrs. Premick retired as a clerk for the Allegheny County treasurer department. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and was a former vice chairwoman of the Verona Democratic Committee. Mrs. Premick was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Premick. Surviving are sons, James Premick of Verona and Stanley of Baltimore, Md.; brothers, Stanley Kirn, William Kirn; sisters, Mary Cenk, Millie Tihey and Alice Henline; and a granddaughter. Friends will be received at Burket-Truby Funeral Home, 421 Allegheny Ave., Oakmont on Wednesday 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Service will be held at St. Joseph Church in Verona on Thursday at 10 a.m. with the Father Edward Wichman officiating. Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.

Sepelyak
Mike Sepelyak, 85, of Verona died Aug. 29, 2002. Mr. Sepelyak was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Sepelyak. He was a member of the International Association of Sheetmetal Workers, Local 12 and the Verona Eagles. Surviving are son, Michael Sepelyak of Penn Hills; sister, Margaret Simmons of Greensboro, N.C.; three grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Friends were received at the Thomas D. Emerick
Betty Emerick, 80, of Murrysville died Oct. 3, 2002. Born on July 26, 1922, in Wilkinsburg, she was a daughter of Reuben and Elizabeth Fenninghouse Harris. Mrs. Emerick was a member of First United Methodist Church of Murrysville and a Sunday school teacher for many years. She was a prior employee of Gimbel's. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Emerick; and a brother, Reese Harris. Surviving are daughters, Darlene McCune of Ducansville, Karen Harvey of Hooversville and Joanne Cipriani of Murrysville; sons, Dale Emerick of North Huntingdon, Gene Emerick of Greensburg and David Emerick of Murrysville; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ruby Sholes of Verona. Marie Keenan Fitzgerald, 94, died Oct. 4, 2002. Born on Nov. 5, 1907, in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of James and Sarah Cunningham. Mrs. Fitzgerald was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Fitzgerald Sr.; a son, John Fitzgerald; a sister, Sarah Anker; and brothers, James, John, Joseph, Paul, Dan, William, Edgar and Regis Keenan. Surviving are her daughter, Mary Strauss of Penn Hills; a son, Edward Fitzgerald Jr. of Scott Township; 14 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. Sabato "Sub" Gentile, 82, of Springdale Township in Harwick died Oct. 6, 2002. Born on Feb. 24, 1920, in Wimber, he was a son of Raymond and Ruffalina Montemurro Gentile. Mr. Gentile was a retired roof bolter for Renton Mine. He was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church and Polish Club in Harwick. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Justine Gentile. Surviving are his son, Samuel Gentile of Cheswick; daughters, Pamela Bailie of Creighton and Toni Zoller of Indiana Township; a brother, Joseph Gentile of Arnold; sisters, Caroline Beiber of Arnold, Mary Salvati of Arnold, Ida Cecchetti of Arnold, and Nina Gentile of Germany; and six grandchildren. Jean Hayes, 75, of Oakmont died Oct. 2, 2002. Mrs. Hayes was a long-time member of St. Joseph Church choir and the Benedictines Oblates. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Hayes. Krelko
Steve Krelko, 78, of Penn Hills died Oct. 6, 2002. Mr. Krelko was a World War II veteran who served in the Battle of Bulge in the 702nd Tank Battalion Company D and a member of the American Legion Post 351. Mr. Krelko was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Woessner; two sisters; and a brother. Surviving are his wife, Ruth Krelko; daughters, Teresa Galewski of Penn Hills and Susan Bythrow of Atlanta, Ga.; a son, Sam Krelko of Penn Hills; nine sisters; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Barbara Sherrill, 72, formerly of Oakmont, died Oct. 1, 2002. Mrs. Sherrill was preceded in death by a daughter, Wendy Sherrill; and a son, Jeffrey Sherrill. Surviving are her husband, the Rev. Donald Sherrill; a son, Philip Sherrill of Murrysville; a daughter, Lynn Janosik of Bethel Park; brothers, Edward Messenger of Wilkins Township and William Messenger of Florida; and four grandchildren. Stagno
Marian Stagno, 70, of Verona, formerly of East Liberty died Oct. 7, 2002, at UPMC St. Margaret Hospital in Pittsburgh. Born on Feb. 12, 1931, in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of William Schiller and Agnes Pulfer. Ms. Stagno retired as a bookkeeper in the loan business. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Flynn. Surviving are her daughters, Jane Hoff of Virginia and Betty Maguire of Penn Hills; a sister, Betty Simko of McKees Rocks; and two grandchildren. Costa
Ruth Costa, 74, of Oakmont died Jan. 11, 2003, at St. Margaret Seneca Place. Born June 1, 1928, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Robert and Jane (Murray) McWilliams. Mrs. McWilliams was an avid reader and enjoyed walking and watching the Steelers and Penguins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Costa; two sisters; and three brothers. Surviving are her sister, Esther Rotter of Oakmont; and nieces and nephews. Gorshin
Frances Gorshin, 92, of Oakmont died Jan. 10, 2003. An immigrant from Slovenia, Mrs. Gorshin was a stay-at-home mother and talented seamstress who later worked with such upscale boutiques and clothiers as Ruth Young, Miller's and Sax's. She loved gardening too. However, she was probably best known as No. 1 fan of her son, actor Frank Gorshin. In addition to her son, she is survived by her daughter, Dorothy Condron Roland and her husband, Willie, of Plum; daughter-in-law, Christina Gorshin of Connecticut; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Frank Gorshin Sr.; and her son, Herman Gorshin. Friends were received at Thomas D. English Funeral Home. James D. Wolfe, 89, died Jan. 12, 2003. Mr. Wolfe was a former 'shop' teacher with the Penn Hills School District. Born Nov. 7, 1926, in Bradenville, Pa., he was the son of Samuel and Shirley (Leonard) Vuckovic. He was a retired member of Pipefitter Local Union 27. Mr. Vuckovic was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Shirley Vuckovic of Cheswick; sons, Samuel of Davenport, Iowa, and Stanley Vuckovic of Springdale Township; and three grandsons. She was a member of Oak-mont Country Club, Duquesne Club, University Club, Daughters of the American Revolution and past director of the 20th Century Club. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Birmingham. She was a member of Penn Hills Alliance Church.
