Bessie L. 'Betty' Croyle
Bessie L. "Betty" Croyle, 82, of West Back Street, Rimersburg, died at 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 20, 2001, at her home following a brief illness. Born Sept. 8, 1918, near Salem, Clarion County, she was a daughter of William Parker Groce and Twila M. Snively Groce. She attended the Cross Roads School near Salem.
Mrs. Croyle was a member of the Allegheny Wesleyan Methodist Church in Rimersburg. She was a former member and a past worthy matron of the Phoebe Rebekah Lodge No. 123 of Rimersburg. Mrs. Croyle first was married in Knox on March 12, 1940, to Russell Morris Whitmer, who preceded her in death. She then was married in Rimersburg on May 7, 1960, to Frank B. Croyle, who preceded her in death. Surviving are three daughters, Violet M. Cyphert of Macedon, N.Y., Mrs. Martin J. (Barbara E.) Reynolds of Rimersburg and Mrs. William A. (Spring L.) Forsythe of Sligo; 10 grandchildren, Cassandra Lynn Whitmer of Erie; Robert L. "Rob" Whitmer Jr., Marshall J. Whitmer and Skylor Perez, all of Rimersburg, Jennifer Noel Murray, William B. Forsythe and Nicholas A. Forsythe, all of Sligo, Stacey Renae Custer of Lake Geneva, Wis., Jennifer Lynn Reynolds of Kingston, Ga., and Timothy Martin Reynolds of Irwin; and six great-grandchildren; Brittany Nicole Murray, Devin Alan Murray and Tyler James Murray, all of Sligo, and Desiree J. Whitmer, Paige E. Whitmer and Donte R. Whitmer, all of Rimersburg. Also surviving are two stepsons, James Croyle of Fairmount City and Richard Croyle of Strattanville; and 11 stepgrandchildren, Mrs. Greg (Deborah) Wolbert and Robert Croyle Jr. and his wife, Brenda, all of Knox, Mrs. Edward (Sandra) Truit of Brownsville, Ricky Croyle and his wife, Jody, of Conneaut Lake, Mrs. Joseph (Sherry) Schmader of Strattanville, Mrs. Steve (Karen) Keener, Valerie Brothers and Richard Croyle Jr., all of Rimersburg, Steve Croyle of Sligo, Jeff Croyle of Polk and Mrs. Edward (Marcy) Barger of Huey. She also is survived by a sister, Mrs. Hazel Mortimer of Schenectady, N.Y. In addition to her parents and two husbands, Mrs. Croyle was preceded in death by a son, Robert L. Whitmer, June 29, 1991; a grandson, Charles Russell Whitmer, Dec. 15, 1997; and two stepsons, Melvin Croyle and Robert Croyle. EMILY LOUISE MYERS ANDERSON
Emily Louise Myers Anderson, 88, a former Franklin resident, died of pneumonia Thursday, Oct. 18, 2001, in Lexington, Mass. Mrs. Anderson, daughter of Wilbur and Bina Myers, was raised in Franklin and was a 1930 graduate of Franklin High School. She then attended Dana Hall for a year in Wellesley, Mass. In 1935, she graduated from Smith College, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa in her junior year and lettered each year in three sports. After teaching at the Northampton School for Girls, Mrs. Anderson returned to Smith College where in 1938 she earned a master of arts degree in history. She was married in 1940 to Robert E. Anderson of Ontarioville, Ill., and they began their married life outside Chicago. They moved to Barrington, R.I., in 1953 and in 1976, they moved to Newport, R.I. Like her role model, Eleanor Roosevelt, she plunged into political, civic and charitable causes and especially devoted herself to the League of Women Voters. After her husband died, Mrs. Anderson moved to Brookhaven-at-Lexington, Mass. She developed Alzheimer's disease, which released her from the confines of her physical infirmities and returned her to her early days of joy in Franklin, climbing its hills and swimming in its rivers. Her family, companions and the caring staff at Brookhaven shared that joy with her and found strength in her vitality. Surviving are four children, Signe of Bedford, Mass., Karl of Barrington, R.I., John of Riverside, R.I., and Bob Jr. of Newtown; and six grandchildren, Siri Hanson, Heather Chartier, Jason and Joshua Murdock and Carl and Greta Anderson. A memorial service will be held at a later date. The Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Road, Lexington, Mass., is in charge of arrangements. RICHARD T. ‘GUS’ ANDERSON
Richard T. 'Gus' Anderson, 73, of Tidioute RR 1, died at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21, 2001, at his residence. Born June 2, 1928, in Franklin, he was a son of Melvin and Julia Reese Anderson. Mr. Anderson was manager for Penn Aire Tire and also worked as a tire recapper for Franklin Service & Supply. He also was part owner of Sportsman’s Bar in West Hickory. He was a member of the Congress Hill Church of God. Mr. Anderson was a member of the AARP and the National Rifle Association. He was an avid Jeff Gordon and Pittsburgh Pirates fan and enjoyed watching his grandson, Danny, race at Tri-City Speedway. He also enjoyed his pets, Tipper, Socks and Daisy. Mr. Anderson was married July 15, 1946, to Joan M. Hughes, who survives. They recently celebrated 55 years of marriage. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are four children, Rick Anderson of Tidioute, Deborah Exley of Franklin, Mrs. Sam (Kim) Posey of Bainbridge, Ga., and Lessie Anderson of Erie; four grandchildren, Danny Exley and his wife, Heather, and Deneille Exley, all of Franklin, Gretchen Anderson of Pittsburgh and Caleb Posey of Bainbridge, Ga.; two great-grandchildren, Ashley Keener of Oil City and Hunter Exley of Franklin; and a close friend, Cheryl Smith Wiegel of Franklin. In addition to his parents, Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by a sister, Beverly Blair Meals; and a brother, Melvin “Sam” Anderson. MARY C. BOWER
Mary C. Bower, 83, of Rosewood Care Center, Peoria, Ill., formerly of Oil City, died at 7:15 a.m. Monday, Oct. 22, 2001, in the care center. Born Aug. 5, 1918, in Oil City, she was a daughter of William J. and Vera Caffrey Brown. Mrs. Brown was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and the Peoria Country Club. She was a volunteer at OSF St. Francis Medical Center. Mrs. Brown was married in Oil City on Dec. 30, 1939, to James A. Bower, who died May 16, 1991, in Peoria. Surviving are two brothers and their wives, William and Jean Brown of Oil City and Joseph and Kathryn Brown of Grand Rapids, Mich.; a sister-in-law, Mary Stroud of Paoli; and several nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Friday in St. Vincent de Paul Church with the Rev. Glenn H. Harris presiding. Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the mass. Entombment will be in Resurrection Mausoleum in Peoria. Wright and Salmon Mortuary, 2416 N. B. JOAN FINNECY CHEVALIER
B. Joan Finnecy Chevalier, 72, of 141 Norman Way, Erie, formerly of Oil City, died Friday, Oct. 12, 2001, at her residence. Born March 3, 1929, in Oil City, she was a daughter of Robert and Catherine Eckert Finnecy. She was a 1947 graduate of St. Joseph High School, Oil City, and received a degree in 1950 from Saint Vincent School of Nursing, Erie. Mrs. Chevalier worked for 24 years in the mother-baby unit of Hamot Medical Center, Erie, retiring in 1991. She was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church in Erie. Mrs. Chevalier served as president of Glenwood Heights Garden Club and was a member of the North Coast Striders walking club and Saint Vincent Health Center Nurses Alumni, all in Erie. She enjoyed gardening and traveling. Mrs. Chevalier was married Sept. 1, 1951, to Walter J. Chevalier, who survives. Also surviving are three sons, Michael F. Chevalier, Mark R. Chevalier and his wife, Pamela, and Dennis W. Chevalier and his wife, Faythe, all of Erie; two daughters, Leslie A. Slivka and her husband, Karl, of Bedford, N.H., and Amy M. Leemhuis and her husband, John, of Erie; and 14 grandchildren. She also is survived by two brothers, James Robert Finnecy and his wife, Mary Ann, of Cleverdale, N.Y., and David Finnecy and his wife, Evelyn, of Erie; a daughter-in-law, Diane Chevalier; a sister-in-law; and many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 15, in St. Luke Catholic Church, Erie. Interment was in Mary Queen of Peace Cemetery. NAOMI MAE ‘BETTY’ COUSINS
Naomi Mae 'Betty' Cousins, 86, of Tionesta, died Sunday, Oct. 21, 2001, in Millcreek Community Hospital, Erie. Born Oct. 14, 1915, in East Hickory, she was a daughter of Chambers Monroe and Edna Schwab Howe. Mrs. Cousins attended both the Townline Free Methodist Church and the Tionesta Church of God. She was married June 8, 1938, to James E. Cousins, who died in 1980. Surviving are a son, Thomas E. Cousins and his wife, Judy, of Lake City; a daughter, Ms. Charles (Marjorie A.) Pursell of Fairview; several foster children including Richard Blackford of Tionesta and Dale Scott Morrison of Erie; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She also is survived by a brother, James Howe of Warren; three sisters, Louise Rotthoff of Fairview, Lucille Reese of East Hickory and Elmira Root of Florida; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Cousins was preceded in death by three brothers, William, Robert and Frank Howe; a sister, Mary E. Miller; and a great-grandson, Adam Richard Roberts. ESTHER B. CRAIG
Esther B. Craig, 85, of 452 Beatty School Road, Hadley, Salem Township, died Sunday afternoon, Oct. 21, 2001, in UPMC Horizon Hospital, Greenville. Born April 9, 1916, in Smicksburg, she was a daughter of Clayton and Nancy Brink Cornman. Mrs. Craig was a member of the New Apostolic Church in Greenville. She was a homemaker and enjoyed puzzles, needlework and attending family reunions. Mrs. Craig was married May 8, 1936, to Elmer F. Craig, who died Aug. 3, 1988. Surviving are two daughters, Anna Mae Alabran of Hadley, with whom she made her home for the past 10 years, and Nancy Porter of Greenville; seven sons, Elmer Craig of Sandy Lake, Daryl Craig of Mocksville, N.C., Raymond Craig of Franklin, Bert Craig of Seneca and Melvin Craig, Clair Craig and Ronald Craig, all of Oil City; 38 grandchildren; 73 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She also is survived by two sisters, Millie Haverlock of Niagara Falls, N.Y., and Betty Dickerson of Smethport; three brothers, LeRoy Holowell of Fort Myers, Fla., Carl Holowell of Phoenix, Ariz., and Ernest Holowell of Orville, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Craig was preceded in death by a son, Alvin B. Craig; a brother, Raymond Jack Cornman; and three sisters, Lelah Cornman, Clara Beatty and Larue Kammerdiener. R. Fred Hutchison
Robert Fred Hutchison, 81, formerly of 1111 Elm St., Franklin, died at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, 2001, at his residence in Middleboro, Mass. Born Aug. 4, 1920, in New Florence, he was a son of George T. and Mildred E. Roth Hutchison. Mr. Hutchison was a graduate of New Florence High School and attended Mount Mercy College in Pittsburgh. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II and attended several Army medical technical schools. Mr. Hutchison worked as a lab manager for 34 years at Northwest Medical Center.
He was a life member and fire chief for 24 years of the Rocky Grove Volunteer Fire Department. He also was a member of the Venango County Fire Police, was a Pennsylvania Forest Fire Warden and was a master instructor of the Pennsylvania Fire School. Mr. Hutchison was a member and past master of Myrtle Lodge No. 316, F. & A.M. of Franklin and was a Grand 32nd Degree Mason. He also belonged to the Valley of Oil City and Valley of New Castle. He also was a member of the Washington Club, B.P.O. Elks No. 110, Venango Coon & Fox Club, Pennsylvania Gun Owners Association, the Senior Golf Club and the Lions Club. Mr. Hutchison was a member of the Galloway Methodist Church. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and golfer.
Mr. Hutchison was married Oct. 27, 1982, to Geraldine Tibben, who survives. Also surviving are a stepdaughter, Trish Holloway of Middleboro, Mass.; two stepsons, Michael Semrau of New York and Chris Semrau of Franklin; seven grandchildren, Amy Brownell, Michael Semrau II and Jeff Semrau, all of Black River, N.Y., Kaisa Holloway, Garrett Holloway and Gretchen Holloway, all of Middleboro, Mass., and Travis Semrau of Franklin; and two great-grandsons, Levi and Foster. He also is survived by a sister, Berniece Mack of New Florence; two nephews, George and Fred Mack of Pennsylvania; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hutchison was preceded in death by two sons, Robert F. Hutchison and Richard "Chip" Hutchison, who died June 13, 1956, in an automobile accident. William Martin Black
William Martin Black, 86, of Beverly Healthcare-Shippenville, formerly of North Pine Grove, died Saturday night, Dec. 8, 2001, in Shippenville. Born Feb. 28, 1915, in Wallace, W.Va., he was a son of Joseph and Nancy Martin Black. He lived in Oklahoma but spent most of his life in Clarion County.
Mr. Black never married. He liked the outdoors and gardening. Surviving are distant cousins in Clarion County and West Virginia.
Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Ronald McDonald Funeral Home, Marienville. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home with the Rev. Jack Brown presiding. Interment will be in Tylersburg Cemetery.

Filer funeral set Wednesday
Funeral services for Thelma Bernadine Filer, 80, of President Township, Venango County, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Norman J. Wimer Funeral Home, Tionesta. The Rev. Randy L. Evans, pastor of Tionesta Church of God, will officiate. Interment will be in Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens, Cranberry. Friends will be received from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.

Donald R. Hall Jr.
Donald R. Hall Jr., 54, of 300 Rockland-Nickleville Road died about 3 a.m. Monday in his home. Mr. Hall was best known as "Coach." He was the girls basketball coach at Cranberry High School. The Hutchinson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

The Rev. June Y. 'Bonnie' Lingler
The Rev. June Y. "Bonnie" Lingler, 79, of 408 Kennerdell St., died Monday, Feb. 25, 2002, in Butler Memorial Hospital. The Huff Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Gertrude Cecelia 'Peggy' Olen
Gertrude Cecelia "Peggy" Olen, 78, of 508 E. Third St., died at 3:03 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, 2002, in the Intensive Care Unit of UPMC Northwest, Franklin. Born Feb. 20, 1923, in Butler, she was a daughter of Robert R. and Gertrude Cecelia Maher Dempsey. Mrs. Olen attended St. Joseph Grade School and was a 1942 graduate of St. Joseph High School. She had been a clerk-typist for Travelers Insurance for 16 years in Buffalo, N.Y.
Mrs. Olen was a member of St. Stephen Church but had been attending Our Lady Help of Christians Church. She was married Aug. 28, 1971, in St. Stephen Church to Paul Olen, who died Feb. 13, 1998.
Mr. Olen was blind and for years, Mrs. Olen and her husband made daily visits to the Oil City Library where she would read The Derrick to him. She donated a sound proof room at the library in memory of her husband. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Jane A. Hughey of Oil City; three nieces, Mrs. Nancy H. Gomola and Mrs. Cathy Kessler, both of Oil City, and Mrs. Judy Kish of New Hampshire; two nephews, Robert Hughey of Stow, Ohio, and Robert Manion of Pittsburgh; two special friends, Agnes Moffett and Jane Fedorek; and many great-nieces and great-nephews and their families. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Olen was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Ruth Manion. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the Reinsel Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Our Lady Help of Christians Church with the Rev. John Malthaner, pastor, presiding. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Minnie Mae McCall
Minnie Mae McCall, 97, of Sligo RD 1, died at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25, 2002, in Clarview Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, where she was admitted earlier that day. Born Sept. 5, 1904, in Sligo, she was the daughter of Charles F. and Minnie Mae Anderson Craig. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Mrs. McCall was a member of the Sligo Presbyterian Church. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. McCall was married March 13, 1924, to W. Ross McCall, who died Sept. 6, 1966. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Clyde (Esther) Myers of Sligo, with whom she made her home for several years, and Mrs. Eugene (Ella) Henry of Sligo; three sons and their wives, Craig and Lois McCall of Hilton Head, S.C., Carl and Vivian McCall and Donald and Dorothy McCall, all of Sligo; 25 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. McCall was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Sylvia; a grandson, Douglas Conner; six sisters, Jesse Hoover, Martha Stewart, Mable Craig, Evabelle McClaine, Alma Heeter and Nina Masters; and five brothers, Ira, William, Ed, Herman and Hobart Craig. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the Varner Funeral Home in Sligo. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Sligo Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Doug Friant, former area Presbyterian minister, officiating. Interment will follow in Rimersburg Cemetery. Robert H. Kohl
Robert H. Kohl, 84, of Mayport RD 2, died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2002, in the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Born March 17, 1917, in Philadelphia, he was a son of Herman M. and Martha Sperber Kohl. He served in the Coast Guard during World War II.
Mr. Kohl was a foreman for Esso Standard Oil Co. in New Jersey. He also had his own ministry, "Faith of Our Fathers." He attended Langville United Methodist Church. Mr. Kohl was a member of the Antique Wireless Association and the Antique Auto Club and was a board member of the state Sunday School Association. He was married in Worthville Oct, 9, 1981, to Mable L. Himes, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Robert D. Kohl of Summerville; two daughters, Roberta Wingard and Kathy A. Meanor, both of Punxsutawney; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He also is survived by a brother, Harold Kohl of Winchester, Va.; and two sisters, Dorothy Hemple of Chesterfield, Mo., and Anna Sablitz of Charlotte, N.C. In addition to his parents, Mr. Kohl was preceded in death by a brother, Daniel Kohl.

Joel Fritz Walters
Joel Fritz Walters, 39, of Portland, Ore., formerly of Rimersburg, died at 6:30 p.m. Pacific time Friday, April 19, 2002, in Providence Portland Medical Center of complications stemming from surgery on March 7. The Richard D. Hillis Funeral Home in Rimersburg is in charge of arrangements.

Harold F. 'June' Jones Jr.
Harold F. "June" Jones Jr., 81, of Endeavor, died Friday, Jan. 25, 2002, at his home.
Born July 8, 1920, in Endeavor, he was a son of Harold F. Jones Sr. and Hazel Smith Jones.
He attended grade school and high school in Endeavor, Oil City and Rocky Grove.
Mr. Jones then entered the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) where he served in the Marienville Camp on Salmon Creek. The entire camp then was transferred to Wilderness, Va. He was a tractor operator and assistant leader and spent a total of two and one half years with the CCC. He was employed for a short time as a laborer on the West Hickory Bridge and was a crane operator for Struthers Wells Corp. of Titusville. Mr. Jones then settled on being self-employed in the excavating and trucking business, which he continued to run and be a partner in until his death. He was joined by his son, Michael, first as an employee, but in June 1986, they formed a partnership known as Jones Excavating that continues today in Endeavor. Throughout the years of being in the business, Mr. Jones completed many excavating projects including roads and ponds for logging use for the Forest Service. He was a member of the Endeavor Presbyterian Church.
Mr. Jones enjoyed all outdoor activities , loved to travel and took numerous vacations. He was married in Cumberland, Md., on June 29, 1942, to Mae Wagner, who died Jan. 9, 1996. Surviving are one son, Michael A. Jones of Endeavor; one grandson, Jerry; one granddaughter, Lori; and a dear friend and companion, Marie Head of West Hickory, Tidioute RD. He also is survived by two brothers, William L. Jones of Franklin and Donald L. Jones of Galloway; four sisters, Anita M. Burt and Mrs. Kenneth (Judy) Ream, both of Franklin, Mrs. Arthur (Jeannine S.) Lindquist of Erie and Erma Golden of Seneca; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Jones was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Douglas; and a sister, Ethyl Johnston. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the Norman J. Wimer Funeral Home of Tionesta. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home with lay pastor, Dennis L. Ledebur, officiating. Interment will be in East Hickory Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Endeavor Presbyterian Church or to the Clarion-Forest VNA Hospice.

Mary Joan Shaderline
Mary Joan Shaderline, 75, of Seneca, died at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 3, 2002, in the Oil City Presbyterian Home. Born Jan. 27, 1927, in Cranberry, she was a daughter of Harry L. and Emily E. Laughner Weaver. She live her entire life in Cranberry Township, graduating in 1946 from Cranberry High School. Mrs. Shaderline was a member of Seneca United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school for several years. She was a member of the Seneca 500 Card Club and enjoyed crocheting, traveling, cooking, especially baking and spending time with her family. Mrs. Shaderline was married June 29, 1947, in Saint Louis, Mich., to Earl A. Shaderline, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters and their husbands, Linda and the Rev. Virgil Muzzy of Apalachin, N.Y., and Tammy and Ron Brown of Andrews, Ind.; one son and his wife, Craig and Teri Shaderline of Newell, W.Va.; seven grandchildren, Bret Muzzy and his wife, Erin, of Philadelphia, Dawn Hanley of Paw Paw, Mich., Sara Schultz and her husband, Everet, Jeremy Brown and Laura Brown, all of Andrews, Ind., and Kayla Shaderline and Cody Shaderline, both of Newell, W.Va.; and two great-grandchildren, Michael Eugene Hanley III and Chad Davis Hanley, both of Paw Paw, Mich. She also is survived by three brothers and their wives, Robert and Betty Weaver of Seneca, Harry and Betty Weaver of Oil City and Harold and Nancy Weaver of Ahrensville; and one sister and her husband, Gerry and Bill Stivanson of Seneca. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Osenider Funeral Home, Oil City. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Seneca United Methodist Church with the Rev. Charles Harper, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens. Virginia M. Reagle
Virginia M. Reagle, 79, formerly of 208 Vogan Road, Sandy Lake, died at 8:56 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, 2002, in Montefiore Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born Feb. 10, 1922, in Franklin, she was a daughter of Joseph Elias and Versie Belle Shaner Rummell. Mrs. Reagle primarily was a homemaker but worked at several jobs locally. She was faithful in her support of the American Cancer Society, North Shore Animal Society (for the protection of animals) and the American Society for the Prevention of Blindness. Mrs. Reagle was a Protestant.
She enjoyed reading, gardening, the outdoors and unusual recipes. Mrs. Reagle was married April 30, 1952, to Reuben Bruce Reagle, who died Nov. 15, 1990.
Surviving are four children, Lynda Jenkins of Slippery Rock, Virginia Smith of Jackson Center, Sylvia Gehres of New Lebanon and Pamela Smith of Stoneboro; 10 grandchildren, Missi Reagle and Kara Jenkins, both of Slippery Rock, Kelly Welch of Franklin, John Ziegler of Sharon, David Ziegler of Mercer, Bruce Smith of Jackson Center, Heather Smith of Grove City, Melinda Smith of Greenville and Becky Smith and Marlene Smith, both of Stoneboro; and 13 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Reagle was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Hummell; and three grandchildren, Shauna Jenkins, Jason Smith and Amy Smith. Private services will be held in the Robert W. Gardinier Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronald Bole, hospice minister, officiating. Interment will be in Franklin Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, North Shore Animal Society or to the American Society for the Prevention of Blindness.
