Lisa L. Streck, 29, 15 Hannah Lane, Jersey Shore, was suddenly called home to the Lord on Friday, Oct. 17, 2003. Born on March 1, 1974 in Jersey Shore, she was a daughter of Arlynn and Marjorie Hackenberg of Avis. Lisa was united in marriage to her best friend, Gary L. Streck, on June 28, 1997. They celebrated six loving years together. She was a 1992 graduate of Jersey Shore High School and a 1997 graduate of Lock Haven University where she obtained her bachelor's degree in social work. Lisa served her Lord through the years of her work, caring for both children and individuals with disabilities. She worked with CVS Pharmacy, STEP Inc. and Crafts Inc. She was a current employee of a Christian day care center, All Things Bright and Beautiful Day Care Center at the United Methodist church in Avis. She was also a member of St. Luke's United Church of Christ. Lisa was preceded in death by her unborn child on Sept. 10, 2003; her grandparents, Harry D. and Mary L. Myers, formerly of Avis; and her special aunt, Elva Slopey, formerly of Woolrich. Surviving, in addition to her husband and her loving parents, are her grandmother, Goldie Hackenberg of Lock Haven; her friend and sister, Marlene Mayes of Lock Haven; and several nieces and nephews including Joey, Matthew and Travis Mayes of Lock Haven, whom Lisa blessed with her love. Lisa's husband, Gary, and the Hackenberg and Streck families deeply mourn her loss. We all agree that Lisa will be a beautiful angel as she continues to the Lord's work in Heaven. Our lives have been blessed and touched by the time she shared with us.
