Willard Witherell
Willard M. "Bill" Witherell, 74, of 47 Pond Road in East Kane, died Friday morning, January 31, 2003, at his home. Born July 23, 1928 in Glenfield, NY, he was a son of Daniel and Josephine McIntyre Witherell. On February 14, 1964 in Franklin, he married Betty Lou Silvis, who survives. Mr. Witherell was raised in Pig's Ear, and attended Russell City, James City and Kane schools. He then worked for Pure Carbon in St. Marys, later for the U.S. Forest Service and finally for Stackpole in Kane in machine set-up, retiring in 1969. An avid hunter and fisherman, he belonged to the Kane Fish & Game Club, the Hi-La Sportsmen's Club in Russell City and had been a member of BPO Elks #329 in Kane. He is survived, in addition to his wife, by a daughter, Ellen Bush and her husband, Kenneth, of Kane; a son, Daniel Witherell and his wife, Suzie, of Kane; a sister, Beverly Lankard and her husband, Robert, of Meadville; and six granddaughters, Kelly Jo Peters, Leah Marie Peters, April Bush, Katlyn Bush, MacKenzie Witherell and Morgan Witherell. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by three sisters, Frances McKenna, Virginia Clawges, and Bette Holahan; and a brother, James Witherell. Friends may call at the Ronald McDonald II Funeral Home from 7-9 p.m. Sunday and may attend a service at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Monday with The Reverend Dr. Deryl K. Larsen, pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Kane, officiating. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ridgway Community Nurse Service or to the Kane Community Hospital Home Health Care.

Bertha Ashbaugh
Bertha W. Ashbaugh, 95, formerly of 21 Park Avenue, Kane, died Tuesday, January 28, 2003, at The Lutheran Home at Kane. Born August 24, 1907 in Kane, she was the daughter of Ernest L. and Emma Johnson. In 1932, in Jamestown, NY, she married Harold Ashbaugh who died in 1969. Mrs. Ashbaugh had been a telephone operator for Bell of PA. She was a member of the Order of the Amaranth and Past Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, both in Kane. Surviving are two sons, Frank H. Ashbaugh of Houghton Lake, MI, and Lawrence L. Ashbaugh of Tulsa, OK; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death, in addition to her husband and parents, by two brothers and three sisters. A graveside service will be held at Mt. Tabor Cemetery this spring to inter her cremated remains, with the Ronald McDonald II Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to The Lutheran Home at Kane.

Harrison Stackpole
Harrison C. Stackpole, 88, of 764 Johnsonburg Road, St. Marys, a former chairman of the board of Stackpole Co., community leader and veteran, died Monday evening, April 7, 2003 at Elk Regional Health Center. He was born June 9, 1914, in Ridgway, a son of Harry C. and Sallie Hall Stackpole. On September 30, 1941, at the Grace Episcopal Church in Ridgway, he married Muriel Beatrice Dauer, who preceded him in death. Mr. Stackpole was educated in the Ridgway Public Schools, the Valley Forge Military Academy, Asheville School and Yale University. He served in the U.S. Army Signal Corps during World War II from 1942-1945 on Guam and Saipan in the Pacific Theater. He spent his entire working career with the Stackpole Co., which was founded by his father in St. Marys. While with Stackpole, he served in many capacities, including director, president and chairman of the board until his retirement in 1979. Mr. Stackpole was also a director of the St. Marys Trust Co., St. Marys National Bank, First Laurel Bank, The Pennsylvania Bank & Trust Co., Kane Bank & Trust, and many subsidiary companies of the parent Stackpole Carbon Co. in Canada, Virginia, North Carolina, Massachusetts and New Jersey. He served as president and director of the JKP Hall Corp. and Kaul Hall Oil & Gas Co. Mr. Stackpole was also a founding donor, trustee and chairman of the Stackpole-Hall Foundation, a non-profit family foundation established to serve the communities that had served his family so well, until his retirement in 1996. Mr. Stackpole was also very involved in improving the quality of life in his community and served on numerous boards, committees and councils, including the St. Marys Water Authority, St. Marys Borough School Board, St. Marys Borough Council, United Fund, St. Agnes Episcopal Church as a Warden and Vestry, St. Marys Girl Scout Council, St. Marys Kiwanis Club as president, Benzinger Township Planning Commission as the chairman, Asheville School and Bradford Area Airport Authority. He was also involved with the St. Marys Youth Council, St. Marys Parent Teacher Organization, March of Dimes as the chairman, Andrew Kaul Memorial Hospital in St. Marys as director and chairman of the 1954 Expansion Fund Drive, St. Marys Country Club as the president, Ridgway Area Psychiatric Center, Elk County Child Welfare Services Committee, Crusade For Freedom as the chairman, Keystone Tall Tree Girl Scout Council as chairman, Western Pennsylvania Fundraising, Elk County Chapter of the Children's Aid Society, U.S. Route 219 Association, Boys Club of St. Marys, which was founded by his uncle, New York attorney, William E. Hall, and the St. Marys Burial Detail. Mr. Stackpole was also a member of St. Agnes Episcopal Church in St. Marys, the Benevolent Protective Order of Elks, the VFW, 40&8, American Legion, St. Marys Sportsmens Club, and several other local organizations. He was also a state Republican Party committeeman, was a winner of and honored for several prestigious national, regional and local awards, including the Benjamin Rush Award in 1955 for outstanding Health Service Award and the award of Merit (PA), among others. Mr. Stackpole was also the grandson of State Senator J.K.P. Hall and Kate Hyde Hall. He is survived by two sons, R. Dauer Stackpole of Sullivans Island, SC, and T. Scott Stackpole of St. Marys; two daughters, Laurey S. Turner of Langhorne and Sara-Jane Stackpole of Ridgway; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a stepmother and friend, Adelaide Whitman Stackpole; two brothers, J. Hall Stackpole and Jude A. Stackpole; and a sister, Lyle S. Townsend. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at a funeral home in St. Marys. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11 a.m Thursday at St. Agnes Episcopal Church, with The Ret. Reverend Robert D. Rowley, Jr., bishop of the Northwest Pennsylvania Diocese, as celebrant. The Elks Lodge will hold a ritual at 7 p.m. today in the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery at a later date, at which time a military service will take place.

Lilliana Marinella
Lilliana Maria Pia Marinella, 68, of 212 Janeway Street, died Monday, April 7, 2003 at St. Vincent Health Center in Erie. Born October 8, 1934, in Italy, she was the daughter of Olga Marinella. In 1962 she came to the United States and had resided in Kane since then. Miss Marinella was a private duty caregiver to the late Catherine Lobue from 1963 to 1988. She was a very active member of both St. Callistus Catholic Church and C D of A Court Callistus #66. Surviving are two sisters and nieces and nephews, all in Italy. In the United States, she is survived by Lorie and Ruth Lobue of Port St. Lucie, FL, their children, Brian, Karl, and Heather; and many good friends in the Kane area. She was preceded in death by her mother. A memorial mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 26, 2003 at St. Callistus Church, with The Reverend Philip Pinczewski, pastor, as celebrant. The Cummings Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to St. Callistus Church.

Leonard C. Saff
Leonard C. "Lenny" Saff, 88, of Vista, CA, died Friday, February 6, 2004 at his residence, following a brief illness. Born June 3, 1915, in Kane, he was the son of Andrew and Esther Tengstrand Saff. Following his Kane High years, he enrolled in the School of Engineering in Kearny, NJ, earning a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Throughout WWII he was employed with Western Electric in New Jersey. Later he moved to Jamestown, NY, where he founded and owned Jamestown Fabricated Steel. After 47 years, he sold the company and retired. Mr. Saff was active in civic affairs in Jamestown and was a life member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers International for 57 years, the Jamestown Elk Lodge #263, and the Independent Order of Vikings. He was also president of Jamestown Area Development Corporation. He was an avid hunter, golfer, and enjoyed winter sports. Surviving, in addition to his wife, Frances of Vista, are a son, Ronald of Randolph, NY; a daughter, Debbie Dahlgren of Sugar Grove; a grandson, Eric Dahlgren of Jamestown; a great-granddaughter; three brothers, Kenneth and his wife Jean, Robert and his wife, Dorothy, and George and his wife Carolyn. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews, and many devoted family members and friends. No formal services are planned.

Lawrence G. Anderson
Lawrence G. Anderson, 78, of 103 Highpoint Drive, formerly of 230 Greeves Street, died Tuesday evening, February 10, 2004 at The Lutheran Home at Kane, where he resided for the past week. Born December 25, 1925, in Kane, he was the son of Gilbert C. and Alice C. Magnuson Anderson. A 1944 graduate of Kane High School, Mr. Anderson was a machinist and master technician at Stackpole in Kane for 32 years. Earlier, he had worked at the Kane Shirt Factory, Cowden Machine Shop, Holgate Toy Company and the B&O Railroad. Mr. Anderson was a member of Tabor Evangelical Lutheran Church. He had been a member of the National Rifle Association and the Kane Country Club. He was an avid hunter. Surviving are a niece, Connie Kuh of Atlanta, GA; a nephew, Lloyd Slack of Baltimore, MD; and many cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, June Slack, and a twin brother and sister in infancy. Friends will be received from 1 to 2 p.m. today at the Ronald McDonald II Funeral Home, at which time a service will be held there, with The Reverend Timothy Alleman, pastor of St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Mt. Jewett, officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Tabor Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donors choice.

James McDermott
James M. McDermott, 60, of 9 Beech Street, died Tuesday evening, February 10, 2004 at the Kane Community Hospital. Born April 22, 1943, in Kane, he was the son of James G. and Virginia L. Stickles McDermott. On June 1, 1968, in Kane, he married Barbara J. Zampogna, who survives. A Vietnam era veteran, he served in the U.S. Navy as an EM-5, having received a Letter of Commendation. Mr. McDermott owned and operated Mack's Motor Repair in Kane for over 30 years. He was a member of St. Callistus Catholic Church in Kane, the VFW #1132, the Fraternal Order of Eagles, the Loyal Order of Moose, and the Lions Club, all in Kane. He was a former Cub Master for Pack #427 in Kane, and had been an umpire for the Kane Little League. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are three sons, James P. McDermott and Joshua F. McDermott, both of Columbus, OH, and Patrick J. McDermott of Kane; and four brothers, Richard McDermott and Daniel McDermott, both of Ridgway, and Robert McDermott and Thomas McDermott, both of Kersey. One granddaughter and several nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents. Friends will be received from 11 until 11:45 a.m. Friday at the Gathering Place of St. Callistus Catholic Church, followed by a Mass at 12:00, with The Reverend Philip Pinczewski, pastor, as Celebrant. Entombment will be in a niche at the St. Callistus Mausoleum following cremation. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to a charity of the donors choice. James W. Whelan
James W. "Jimmy Bill" Whelan, 61, of 1093 W. Washington Street, Bradford, died Monday, February 9, 2004 at his residence. Born April 8, 1942, in Bradford, he was the son of Jack Whelan and stepmother Betty Whelan of Sheffield Lake, OH, and Lois L. Burns Wolfe of Bradford. Mr. Whelan was a lifelong resident of the area and a graduate of Bradford High School, class of 1960. He served in the U.S. Air Force as a mechanic from 1960 to 1964. He was employed as an Iron Worker at Iron Workers Local #772 in Clearfield for more than 20 years. Mr. Whelan attended Peoples Christian Fellowship Church in Bradford. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed metal detecting. In addition to his parents, he is survived by one daughter, Jennifer Vigus of Transfer; three sons, Gregory Whelan of Sharpsville, John Whelan of West Middlesex, and Andrew Whelan of Sharon; three sisters, Lynn L. Cotton of Gifford, Janet R. Mealy of Kane, and Theresa Sealy of Hilton Head, SC; two brothers, Lea J. Wolfe of Abilene, TX and Stephen Whelan of Amherst, OH; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Robyn K. Whelan, October 6, 1968, and stepfather, James Ralph Wolfe, September 14, 1993. Friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at a funeral home in Bradford. Funeral and committal services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, with The Reverend Robert Gorton, pastor of the Peoples Christian Fellowship Church Officiating. Burial will be in Willow Dale Cemetery. Jenny L. Walter
Jenny L. Walter, 48, of West Hickory, died Tuesday, February 10, 2004 at her residence. Born March 13, 1955, in Kane, she was the daughter of Lester and Geneva Spicer Shaw. She married Ronald "Bones" Walter, who died August 30, 1998. Surviving are a son, Benjamin McKee in Florida; a daughter, Rebecca Stitt of Sligo; two brothers, Lester "Bud" Shaw of Kelletville, and Randy Shaw in Ohio; a sister Martha Reddinger of Clarendon; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents. There will be no public visitation.

August Farnsworth
August W. "Tom" Farnsworth, 81, formerly of James City, died Tuesday, April 6, 2004 at The Lutheran Home at Kane. Born August 18, 1922, in Buckhannon, WV, he was the son of Calvin C. and Mary S. Waugaman Farnsworth. On February 19, 1944, in James City, he married Nioma L. Haight, who survives. Mr. Farnsworth served as a Technical Sergeant in the U.S. Army during WWII, where he received a Purple Heart. Later, he was an assembler at Dresser Manufacturing in Bradford. He was a member of the American Legion and the VFW in Punxsutawney, and with his son, managed the Babe Ruth Baseball League in Kane for several years. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are three grandchildren, Annette Peterson of James City, Mark Farnsworth and Keisha Farnsworth, both of Punxsutawney; and a great-grandson, Travis Hollabaugh. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Frank Farnsworth. Friends will be received from 10 until 11 a.m. Friday at the Ronald McDonald II Funeral Home, at which time a service will be held there with The Reverend Steven Jelensperger, pastor of The Presbyterian Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.

Oliver Swanson, Jr.
Oliver L. "Pete" Swanson, Jr., 74, of 304 Greeves Street, died Wednesday, April 7, 2004 at the Kane Community Hospital. Born November 3, 1929, in Warren, he was the son of Oliver L. and Adelaide H. Spencer Swanson, Sr. On May 13, 1960, in Kane, he married Nancy L. Steele, who died January 7, 2001. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Swanson was a Pennsylvania State Policeman for 28 years, retiring in 1981 as Corporal. Afterwards, he worked in security at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford for eight years. He was a member of the Kane Free Methodist Church, the Fraternal Order of Police, a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association, president of the Chandlers Valley Cemetery Association, and was active in the Meals on Wheels in Kane. Surviving are two daughters, Christine E. Jolly and her husband, Michael, of Berea, KY and Colleen D. Kosko and her husband, Curt, of Tyrone; a son, Perry Swanson and his wife, Kristin, of Kane; two brothers, Spencer Swanson of Battle Creek, MI and Perry Swanson of Tionesta; and six grandchildren, Austin and Erin Jolly, Logan and Lincoln Swanson, and Matthew and Nicholas Kosko. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday at the Ronald McDonald II Funeral Home, at which time a service will be held there, with The Reverend Milton Jones, pastor of the Kane Free Methodist Church, officiating. Gladys V. Furman
Gladys V. Furman, 87, of West Newton, formerly of Kane, died Saturday, August 7, 2004, in Select Specialty Hospital, Greensburg. She was born April 21, 1917 in Rochester Mills, daughter of the late Samuel Aquila and Olive Rittenhouse Smiley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward L. Furman in 1981 and a brother, John Smiley. She is survived by five children, Dale Furman of West Newton; Janis Oyler of Oklahoma, Gayle Hanzl of Colorado; Sharon Severance of Wilcox and Dawn Long of Herminie; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Alvin Smiley of Salamanca, N.Y. Peter J. Sirianni
Peter J. "Pete" Sirianni, 96, formerly of 230 Dawson Street, died Sunday, September 14, 2003 at the Lutheran Home at Kane, where he was a resident. Born July 22, 1907, in Kane, he was a son of Guiseppe and Annunziata Cauligiuri Sirianni. On February 28, 1930, in Johnsonburg, he married Mary Scilingo, who preceded him in death. Mr. Sirianni was a member of St. Callistus Church and was the oldest member of the Carl L. Lippert Knights of Columbus Council #715. He first worked at the former glass plant in James City and later owned and operated the Red and White Grocery Store located at the corner of Dawson and Bayard Streets. Most recently, he owned Sirianni Used Cars on North Fraley Street. He and his wife spent many of their winters in Florida. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. As the last surviving member of his immediate family, he is survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Rose Cary, and four brothers, Louis, Frank, Anthony, and Joseph Sirianni. Mr. Sirianni lived his life to the fullest and enjoyed his years at the Lutheran Home, where he considered all the residents his friends. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Cummings Funeral Home, Inc., where a vigil service will be held at 8:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Callistus Church, with The Reverend Philip Pinczewski, pastor, as celebrant. Mabel Reese
Mabel Reese, 85, of The Lutheran Home at Kane, formerly of Sugar Grove, died Tuesday, December 16, 2003 at The Lutheran Home. Born September 11, 1918, in Shawmut, she was the daughter of Walter Henry and Ruth Jones Reese. She was a 1936 graduate of Horton Township High School and a 1942 graduate of A.M. Chesbrough Seminary (now Roberts Wesleyan College) in Rochester, NY. She graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree from Seattle Pacific University in Seattle, WA in 1944 and also earned a Master's Equivalent Certificate in Library Science from Clarion State College in 1957. Miss Reese taught mathematics and Latin at the Sugar Grove Joint High School from 1944-1956, and was the librarian of the Eisenhower High School in Lander from 1956-1981. She was an advisor of the Eisenhower High School Bible Club for nearly 25 years. She was honored to have served as the first president of the Northern Area Education Association and was a life member of the National Education Association and the Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees. She was a member of the Sugar Grove Free Methodist Church and the Women's Missionary Fellowship International; Oil City Conference of the F.M. Church Council for Social Action. She was also a member of the Sugar Grove Branch of the Woman's Christian Temperance Union and a Fellow of Roberts Wesleyan College. Surviving are a niece, Sharol Neuroth of Hammond, NY; and two nephews, James Airgood of Kane and Gareth Lindemuth of DuBois. She was preceded in death by her parents. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Sugar Grove Free Methodist Church, Jamestown Street, Sugar Grove. A funeral service will be held there at 1 p.m., with The Reverend Billy Hughes, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Brandy Camp Cemetery near Ridgway. Angel Langianese
Angel Elaine Langianese, 47, of Bradford, died Tuesday, December 16, 2003 at UPMC Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburgh. Born April 24, 1956, in Bradford, she was a daughter of Ronald and Katherine L. Hays Mealy. On January 14, 1978, at St. Bernard Church, she married William D. Langianese, who survives. Mrs. Langianese was a graduate of Bradford High School. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Foursquare Gospel Church of Bradford. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are four daughters, Christi M. Langianese of Kissimmee, FL and Shauna L. Langianese, Casey J. Langianese and Chelsea R. Langianese, all of Bradford; three sons, Shane W. Langianese of Bradford, Seth A. Langianese, who is serving in the U.S. military, and Shandon N. Langianese; three sisters, Judy Cattoni, Candy Frantz and Debi Prentice, all of Bradford; two brothers, Clayton Mealy of Lantz Corners, and Kelly Mealy of Port Allegany; and 21 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Doris F. McClelland
Doris F. McClelland, 86, of Hazel Hurst, died Monday, June 14, 2004 at Sena Kean Manor in Smethport. Born September 17, 1917, in Dayton, PA, she was a daughter of John and Mary Caroline (Carrie) Pontious Wilson. On May 25, 1935, in Dayton, she married William McClelland who survives. Mrs. McClelland belong to the Hazel Hurst United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. In 1995, she received an award for years of dedicated service from the Hazel Hurst United Methodist Sunday School classes. She was a lifelong member of the Mountain Grange and was active in the Mt. Jewett Senior Center and Meals on Wheels. She enjoyed baby-sitting in the Hazel Hurst area for many years. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are four daughters, Jean Van Giesen of Waterford; Carolyn (Ward) Fitzsimmons of Smethport; Janet Bost of Hazel Hurst and Nelva Haas of Albermarine, NC; two sons Donald (Ruth) McClelland of Kane and Edward McClelland of Mt. Jewett; 27 grandchildren; 44 great grandchildren; 51 great-great grandchildren; a sister, Sara King of New Braunfels, TX; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two grandsons, Mark and Michael McClelland; five brothers, Willard, Clayton, Martin, Laverne and William Wilson; and three sons-in-law, Frank Greenman, Cecil Van Giesen and John Bosh. Friends will be received Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Cummings Funeral Home, Inc. in Kane where a Mountain Grange memorial service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Hazel Hurst United Methodist Church with The Rev. Bertha W. Ashbaugh, 95, formerly of 21 Park Avenue, Kane, died Tuesday, January 28, 2003, at The Lutheran Home at Kane. Born August 24, 1907 in Kane, she was the daughter of Ernest L. and Emma Johnson. In 1932, in Jamestown, NY, she married Harold Ashbaugh who died in 1969. Mrs. Ashbaugh had been a telephone operator for Bell of PA. She was a member of the Order of the Amaranth and Past Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, both in Kane. Surviving are two sons, Frank H. Ashbaugh of Houghton Lake, MI, and Lawrence L. Ashbaugh of Tulsa, OK; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death, in addition to her husband and parents, by two brothers and three sisters. A graveside service will be held at Mt. Tabor Cemetery this spring to inter her cremated remains, with the Ronald McDonald II Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to The Lutheran Home at Kane.

Mary Husarik
Mary E. Husarik, 84, a resident of Austintown, OH, for many years, and also formerly of Erie, died Wednesday, December 1, 2004 at The Lutheran Home at Kane, where she resided. Born September 18, 1920 in Lamont, she was the daughter of Steven and Elizabeth Horvath Gabriel. She was married to Joseph J. Husarik, who died in 1984. Mrs. Husarik was a beautician for many years in the Hudson, Ohio, area. During WWII, she worked at Kane Manufacturing and at several defense plants. She enjoyed playing the piano and playing cards. Surviving are three sisters, Helen Zampogna and Elizabeth "Betty" Marconi, both of Kane, and Lillian Johnson of Wellsville, NY; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents and husband, by brothers Cyril, Edward and Louis Gabriel; two sisters, Olga Savoia and Pauline Johnston. Friends may call at the Ronald McDonald II Funeral Home on Saturday from 1:00 until 2:00, at which time a celebration of her life will be held by those in attendance. Interment will be in Crown Hill Cemetery, Twinsburg, Ohio on Monday. Memorial contributions may be made to The Lutheran Home at Kane or to the charity of the donor's choice.

Edwin S. Speedy, 89, of 82 Rockwood Park Road, Bassett, VA, formerly of Lantz Corners and Hazel Hurst, died Sunday, June 13, 2004 at Memorial Hospital in Martinsville.
