SHREVE, OHIO - Lavina D. Kanagy, 81, of 2801 Centerville Road, Shreve, Ohio, died Friday, Dec. 20, 2002, at her residence. Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. today at the Paul Troyer residence, with Vernon Kline officiating. Interment will be in County Line Cemetery. Friends may call anytime at the residence. Alfaretta "Freddie" Kauffman
LEWISBURG - Alfaretta "Freddie" Kauffman, 93, a resident of RiverWoods Nursing Center, Lewisburg, and formerly of East Fleming Avenue, Lewistown, died at 3:40 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2002, at the nursing center. Born March 16, 1908, in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Margaret (Ley) Heasley. Her husband, Donald R. Kauffman, died July 24, 1987. Surviving are: children, Mrs. Gary (Norma) Graham of 3940 Mark Ave., Harrisburg, Mrs. Sidney (Martha) Ocker of 113 Market St., Sunbury, and Mrs. Gerard (Linda) Vorce of 326 Bow Lane, Gilbertsville; a sister, Johanna Heasley, Pittsburgh; nine grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters. Before marriage she worked as a multigraph operator in Pittsburgh. After marriage she was a homemaker and volunteered for P.T.A., Lewistown Hospital Auxiliary, Girl Scouting and many church activities. She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she belonged to the Esther Circle and was very active with the Piecemakers, helping to make hundreds of quilts for Lutheran World Relief. She was also involved with the Lewistown Mothers Club for many years. Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Gerald A. Krum officiating. Interment will be in Mattawana Cemetery, McVeytown. Friends may call from 9-11 a.m. Saturday at the church. C. Glen Kauffman
LEWISTOWN - C. Glen Kauffman, 84, of 134 Chestnut St., Lewistown, died at 9:01 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2002, at Beverly Healthcare-William Penn. Born May 26, 1918, in Decatur Township, he was a son of the late Frank and Mary Geneive (Aitkins) Kauffman. His wife, Helen B. (Cramer) Kauffman, whom he married Dec. 5, 1939, survives. Also surviving are: a daughter, Mrs. Paul (Marilyn) Lohman, 300 Sixth St., Lewistown; four siblings, Mrs. Frances Romig, Reedsville, John Kauffman, Mattoon, IL, Roy Kauffman, Reedsville, and Donald Kauffman, San Leandro, CA; two grandchildren, Glen Lohman and Elizabeth Smith; and two great-grandchildren, Michael Lohman and Kyle Smith. He was a truck driver for 30 years at Noerrs. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. He was a member of Lawver's United Methodist Church, a life member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #143 and the Teamster's Union. His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Hoenstine Funeral Home, Inc., 75 Logan St., Lewistown with Rev. Kevin Brophy officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park Cemetery. ROWLETTE, TX - G. Emory Kauffman, 92, of Rowlette, TX, died at 8:45 a.m. Saturday, June 29, 2002, at his home. Born May 1, 1910, in Tuscarora Township, Juniata County. His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Henry Funeral Home, Honey Grove. Interment will be in East Waterford Cemetery. Helen B. Kauffman
LEWISTOWN - Helen B. Kauffman, 85, of 300 Sixth St., Highland Park, Lewistown, formerly of 134 Chestnut St., Lewistown, died at 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, 2002, at Lewistown Hospital E.R. Born March 10, 1917, in Yeagertown, she was a daughter of the late James H. and Clare (Ealy) Cramer. Her husband, Charles Glenn Kauffman, preceded her in death Oct. 16, 2002. Surviving are: a daughter, Mrs. Paul (Marilyn) Lohman, 300 Sixth St., Lewistown; a sister, Mrs. John (Marjorie) Weston, Niles, OH; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Lawver's United Methodist Church, Women of the Moose and she loved to knit and crochet. Her funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Hoenstine Funeral Home, Inc., 75 Logan St., Lewistown with Rev. Kevin Brophy officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park. Irene Z. Kauffman
LEWISTOWN - Irene Z. Kauffman, 79, of 127 Stine Dr., Lewistown, died at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, April 24, 2002, at Lewistown Hospital. Born Nov. 6, 1922, in Everett, she was the daughter of the late Cloyd and Beatrice (Haas) Traill. Her husband, Donald E. Kauffman Sr., whom she married in 1940, survives. Also surviving are: children, Donald E. Kauffman Jr., Maryland, and Keryl Kauffman Jensen, Mercersburg; a sister, Helen French, New Bloomfield; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was a member of Rhodes Memorial United Methodist Church. She enjoyed RV camping at Prince Gallitzin State Park, Indian River inlet, Delaware, and Rays-town Lake. A graveside funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Juniata Memorial Park with the Rev. Thomas Morningstar officiating. There will be no viewing. Lorraine 'Lorene' Hazel Kauffman
MIFFLINBURG - Lorraine 'Lorene' Hazel Kauffman, 68, of RR3 Mifflinburg for the past two years, died at 3:05 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, 2002, on Furnace Road, Buffalo Township as the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born Feb. 9, 1934, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late Frank H. and Pansy Wincer (Smith) Stone. Her husband, Jesse J. Kauffman, whom she married on Nov. 12, 1955 at Allensville Mennonite Church, preceded her in death on Sept. 27, 1987. Surviving are six sons and five daughters-in-law, Mark E. and Doris Kauffman of Spring Mills, Arlan D. and Bambie Kauffman of Aaronsburg, Joseph S. and Ruth Kauffman of Manheim, Titus L. and Valerie Kauffman of McVeytown, Roy E. and Stacy Kauffman of Lititz and Jason R. Kauffman of RR3 Mifflinburg; two daughters and one son-in-law, Ruth A. and Harvey Nolt and Mill Creek and Lois E. Kauffman of Cherry Creek, SD; one brother, Ernest Smith of Collegeville; eight sisters and seven brothers-in-law, Marie and James Claybaugh of Milroy, Violet and Gordon Searer of Montandon, Carrie and Vernon Randolph of Simpsonville, SC, Rhoda and Crist Peachey of Reedsville, Mabel and Samuel Bubb of Deep River, NC, Hazel and Arthur Brackbill of Mifflintown, Eva and Vernon Romig of McAlisterville, and Stella Shuey of McVeytown; and 18 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Nathan J. Kauffman, on Nov. 19, 1990. He was married to the former Melanie Landis. She was also preceded in death by one grandson, Kendall Kauffman. She was a homemaker her entire life and helped her husband on the family farm in Spring Mills, where she lived from 1968 to 2000. She was a faithful member of the Millmont Mennonite Church for 16 years, serving as Sunday School teacher, visitor and a member of the Sewing Circle. She enjoyed quilting, embroidery and reading with her grandchildren. Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Millmont Mennonite Church, with Roy Longenecker, James Weaver and David Swartzentruber officiating. Interment will be in Yearick Cemetery, Madisonburg, with graveside service conducted by Lewis Hoover. Visitors may call 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Millmont Mennonite Church and also prior to 9:45 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Thelma L. Kauffman
MILLERSTOWN - Thelma L. Kauffman, 85, of RD3 Millerstown, died Friday, March 22, 2002, in the Perry Village Nursing Home, New Bloomfield. Born June 3, 1916, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late James and Emma A. (Kemberling) Webb. She was the wife of the late Edward M. Kauffman. Surviving are a son, Edward M. Kauffman II of Millerstown; two grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Florine Goshen. She had worked for the Bell Telephone Co., Newport, and was retired from the PA Dept. of Highway and Safety. She was a former Perry County Republican Party Committee chairwoman. She was a member of the St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Millerstown. She enjoyed crocheting and gardening. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday from the St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Millerstown with Rev. Robert Smith and Rev. Paul Case officiating. A viewing will be held at 1 p.m. until the time of service Tuesday at the church. Interment will be in St. Matthew Lutheran Church Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by the David M. Thomas A. Kauffman
LEWISTOWN - Thomas A. Kauffman, 57, of Spagnogle Avenue, Lewistown died on Friday, Jan. 4, 2002, at his residence. Born Jan. 19, 1944, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Leonard A. and Willa Kauffman. Surving is a sister, Mrs. Melvin (Joan) Romig of Creek Drive, Milroy. He was preceded in death by four brothers, John Kauffman, who died on Nov. 19, 2001, Guy E. Kauffman, Ned H. Kauffman and Fred L. Kauffman. Services were held at the convenience of the family at Neff Funeral Home, Milheim.

Beverly Ellen Snook Kearns
SUMMERVILLE, SC - Beverly Ellen Snook Kearns, 67, of Summerville, SC, died Tuesday, May 21, 2002, at her residence. Born Oct. 7, 1934, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Arthur Ambrose and Ida Catherine (Grose) Snook. Her husband, Edward Thomas Kearns, survives. Also surviving are: a son, Edward T. Kearns Jr., Summerville, SC, a daughter, Jan Manning, Reedsville; two brothers, Eugene Snook, Lewistown, and Carl Snook, Lewistown; a sister, Shirley Pandel, Burnham; and two grandsons James and David Manning. She attended college in Lewistown. She was a substitute teacher for Dorchester County Schools, retiring with 20 years of service. She was a member of Knightsville United Methodist Church. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday in Knightsville United Methodist Church in Summerville, SC. Interment will be private. Edward Thomas Kearns Sr.
SUMMERVILLE, SC - Edward Thomas Kearns Sr., 68, of Summerville, SC, died Friday, Dec. 20, 2002, at his home. Born in Lewistown, he was a son of Merle Thomas and Caroline (Faux) Kearns. His wife, Beverly (Snook) Kearns, preceded him in death. Surviving are a son, Edward T. Kearns Jr. of Summerville, SC; a daughter, Jan Manning of Ridgeville, SC; a sister, Charlotte Snook of Lewistown; and two grandsons, James and David Manning. He attended schools in Shindel. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving in the Korean Conflict. He was retired welder with Charleston Naval Shipyard. He was a Methodist by faith. A private family burial will be held in Juniata Memorial Gardens, Lewistown. Arrangements are under the direction of Tri-County Cremation Center, 11000 Dorchester Road, Summerville, SC.

WEST CHESTER - Arthur M. Keefer, 77, of West Chester, died Friday, July 19, 2002, at the Christiana Hospital, Newark, DE. He was born in Burnham. MIFFLINTOWN - Sara B. Keiser, 87, of Pine Creek Personal Care, Mifflintown, formerly of Open Hearth Manor Apartments, Lewistown, died at 8:55 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 28, 2002, at Lewistown Hospital. Born May 28, 1915, in Yeagertown, she was a daughter of the late Clarence G. and Nettie (Bowersox) Bair. Her husband, George S. Keiser, preceded her in death in 1988. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Nancy) Lutz, Port Royal, and Mrs. Robert (Connie) Page, Lewistown; a step-son, Robert Keiser, Mifflin; two brothers, Pete Bair, California, and Edward I. Bair, Lewistown; a sister, Betty Harshbarger, Yeagertown; four grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard, C.F. "Ted," and Clair Lamar Bair. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Holy Communion Lutheran Church, Yeagertown, and Knotty Ladies Club. Donald Wesley Kenepp
Donald Wesley Kenepp, 78, left this earth to be with our Lord on June 11, 2002. Born Dec. 9, 1923, in McVeytown, Mifflin County, he was the son of the late Lloyd Wesley Kenepp and Ethel Moist Kenepp. His wife, Margaret (Youtzy) Kenepp, whom he married June 10, 1945, survives. Also surviving are: a son, Dr. Darwin Lee Kenepp and his wife, Dr. Nancy Kenepp, Wynnewood; a daughter, Constance Elaine Kenepp Harmon and her husband, James Harmon, Perryopolis; a sister, Jeanne O. Kenepp, Reedsville, and three brothers, Earl Kenepp and his wife, Janet, New Holland, Rev. Harold Kenepp and his wife, Janette, Lititz, and Paul Kenepp and his wife, Dianna, Boalsburg; five grandchildren, Donald, Douglas, Evie, and Michael Kenepp, Rebecca Harmon, and a step-grandchild, Timothy Harmon. A sister, Audrey Morgan, preceded him in death. He was a graduate of Bratton-McVeytown-Oliver High School in 1942 and a graduate of the Huntingdon Secretarial School. He was employed as a bookkeeper by the Riggs-Distler Construction Co., Nash Motor Co. the Purity Milk Co. in Lewistown, and the State Correctional Institution in Huntingdon. He was a life-long member of the Spring Run Church of the Brethren in McVeytown, at times serving as Sunday school teacher and auditor. He was a member of the McVeytown Lions Club of which he held offices at the local and state levels. He was active with the Seeing Eye dog program, sight conservation, and Drug Awareness program. and was the !989 recipient of the Lions Club Melvin Jones Award. He held the office of secretary for 53 years for the McVeytown Borough Council. He was a member of the Pennsylvania State Association of Boroughs. He enjoyed woodworking, collecting antique automobile memorabilia and watching wildlife. His funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at Spring Run Church of the Brethren in McVeytown, with the Rev. Jerry Miller officiating. Interment will follow in the Spring Run Cemetery. LEWISTOWN - Elva G. Kennedy, 75, of 907 W. Fourth St., Lewistown, died at 2:43 p.m. Monday, Sept. 23, 2002, at Lewistown Hospital. Born May 17, 1927, in McVeytown, she was a daughter of the late Foster J. and Irene (Kahley) Wray. Her husband, H. Dean Kennedy, whom she married April 10, 1948, survives. Also surviving are: two children, Gerald L. Kennedy, Davison, MI and Mrs. George (Audrey) Price, RD3, Huntingdon; two sisters, Mrs. Charles (Marian) Keusch, Portland, MI and Mrs. Joseph (Beverly) Yoder, Allensville; five grandchildren, Amber, Eric, Ryan, Jeff and Mark; and a great-grandson, Noah. She was preceded in death by an infant sister. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Watts Memorial United Methodist Church, Belleville. She was also a member of the Board of Directors of the Shelter Services, a volunteer at the Abuse Network, a volunteer for 21 years at Ohesson Manor Nursing Home, and a member of the Women of the Moose. MCALISTERVILLE - Jessie A. Kennedy, 74, of RR2 McAlisterville, died at 11:23 a.m. Monday, July 22, 2002, at Lewistown Hospital. Born Nov. 17, 1927, in Fayette Township, Juniata County, she was a daughter of the late Howard D.C. and Mary S. (Hoffman) Strawser. Her husband, Jay A. Kennedy, whom she married July 17, 1944, preceded her in death on Dec. 1, 1993. Surviving are: three daughters, Helen A. Nunemacher, Halifax, Carol J. Bryner, Meridian, MS and Mary I. Chepel, Harrisburg; a son, Allen J. Kennedy, Lancaster; a brother, Wayne A. Strawser, McAlisterville; a sister, Reba E. Guyer, Thompsontown; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed the outdoors with the activities of hunting, fishing and camping. She loved traveling and serving others. Her funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the McAlisterville Chapel of Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 16 Westfall St., McAlisterville, with the Rev. Kenneth R. Hepner officiating. HOLIDAYSBURG - V. Elizabeth B. Kennedy, 94, formerly of Open Hearth Manor, Lewistown, died 3 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2002 at Holidaysburg V.A. home. Born Sept. 16, 1907, in Turtle Creek, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary C. (Allison) Baird. Her husband, John J. Kennedy, died in 1953. She was an accountant for PA Glass and Sand for 43 yrs. She was in the U.S. Army during WWII. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Burnham. She was a life member of American Legion Post #90, Lewistown, and V.F.W Post 7011. She was a past president of the Mifflin County Children's Society and a 30-year volunteer at Lewistown Hospital. A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday at Barr Funeral Home, Inc., 120 Logan St., Lewistown, with Rev. Robert Zorn officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Rock Cemetery, where graveside military services will be provided by VFW Post 7011. A viewing will be held 1 p.m. until the time of service Friday at the funeral home.

LEWISTOWN - Cleo K. "Betty" Kepner, 82, of 136 West Third St., Lewistown, died at 11:15 a.m. Monday Dec. 9, 2002, at her residence. Born Feb. 11, 1920, in Mifflin, she was a daughter of the late Rudolph C. and Ida M. (Parsons) Pannebaker. Surviving are: a sister, Mrs. Paul (Sue) Reeder, 227 Woodland Circle, Reedsville. She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Pannebaker and two sisters, Ida V. Sieber and Madeline Rhoades. She was employed by Arrow Shirt Factory and self employed alterations. Elaine Z. Kerstetter
LEWISTOWN - Elaine Z. Kerstetter, 89, of South Main Street, Lewistown, died at 7:20 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, 2002, at Valley View Haven, Belleville. Born Jan. 13, 1913, in Delanco, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Philip Roy and Laura Sophie (Ziegler) Dennis. She moved to Lewistown when she married Donald C. Kerstetter in 1939. He preceded her in death on Jan. 22, 1996. Surviving are two daughters, Barbara Joan Peterson, State College, and Judith E. Guthrie and son-in-law Dennis Good of Albuquerque, NM; three sisters, Laura Ruth Tallman, Beverly, NJ, Miriam Estelle Metter, Guilford, CT, and Judith Ann Dolce and her husband Dr. Joseph Dolce of Birmingham, AL; a granddaughter, Emily Ann Peterson; and special friends and caregivers, Shirley Bedelyon and Pat Swanger. She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Philip Roy Dennis Jr., David Akers Dennis, Cora Virginia Young and Edith Shears; and a son-in-law, Bruce Peterson. She and her husband enjoyed many trips abroad to China, Scandinavia, Western Europe and the Mediterranean. Elaine was an excellent cook who enjoyed entertaining family and friends. Elaine was also an avid gardner and a member of the Mifflin County Garden Club. Sheryl A. Kibe
REEDSVILLE - Sheryl A. Kibe, 56, of 257 Logan St., Reedsville, died Wednesday evening Dec. 4, 2002. Born Dec. 16, 1945, in Mifflin County, she was a daughter of the late E. Gilbert and Marion J. (Griffith) Gilbert. Her husband, Gary L. Kibe, Sr., of 257 Logan St., Reedsville, survives. Also surviving are: two children, Mrs. J. Michael (Sheila) Warner, Reedsville and Gary L. and wife Jennifer Kibe, Jr., Lewistown; a brother, Barry E. Gilbert, Lewistown; and five grandchildren. She had worked at Sanyo-Fisher Electronics. She enjoyed reading and crafts. Her memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Heller-Hoenstine Burnham Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth Longfield officiating. Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Monday at the funeral home. Constance C. "Connie" Kinderman
FLYING HILLS - Constance C. "Connie" Kinderman, 70, of 42 Par Drive, Flying Hills, died at 9:50 a.m. Friday, March 8, 2002, of natural causes at her residence. Born in Lewistown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Robert I. and Dillie M. (Groninger) Cleck. Her husband, Robert W. Kinderman, survives. Also surviving are: a daughter, Kelly K. (Kinderman) Geiger, Rindge, NH, and a son, Scott W. Kinderman, Laurens, SC; and three grandchildren. She was a graduate of Lewistown High School Class of 1948 and West Chester College Class of 1952 with a BS in Health and Physical Education. She taught Health and Physical Education at Coatesville High School, Coatesville, PA, Lewistown High School, Lewistown, PA, and Brandywine Heights High School, Topton, PA. She was last employed by Colonial Hills Racquetball and Fitness Center, Cumru Township, for 23 years as a Racquetball Program Director. Private services were held at the convenience of the family. The Joseph D. Giles Funeral Home Inc. & Crematorium, Mohnton, are in charge of arrangements.

I. Robert 'Skinny' King
HUNTINGDON - I. Robert 'Skinny' King, 60, of RD2 Box 135, Huntingdon, died at 7:50 p.m. Sunday Dec. 29, 2002, at Centre Community Hospital, State College. Born Sept. 4, 1942, in Allensville, he was a son of the late Irvin J. and Edna (Hartzler) King. His wife, Brenda (Knode) King, whom he married Nov. 27, 1963, survives at RD2, Box 135, Huntingdon. Also surviving are: two children, Angela J. (King) Hawn, Petersburg, and Matthew R. King, Jackson's Corner; a grandson, Tyler Hawn, Petersburg; and several nieces and nephews. He was the last of his immediate family having been preceded in death by a sister, Annabelle L. Yoder and three brothers. He was a partner in Stone Valley Construction, Inc., Pine Grove Mills. He was a member of St. Stephen's Lutheran Church, McAlevys Fort, the Masonic Lodge #700, State College, Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Pleasant Gap, the Jaffa Shrine, Altoona, and honorary life member of Stone Creek Valley Volunteer Fire Company #19. His funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Stephen's Lutheran Church, McAlveys Fort with Rev. Eveyln Wald officiating. Interment will be in Green Lee Cemetery, McAlevys Fort. A viewing will be from 5-9 p.m. Thursday at Baggus Funeral Home, Belleville. A Masonic Ceremony will be held at 8:45 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Trennis S. King
BELLEVILLE - Trennis S. King, 85, of 501 Oliver Court, Belleville, died at 8:45 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2002, at Valley View Haven. Born April 8, 1917 in Allensville, he was the son of the late Abraham and Katie (Messerman) King. His wife, Arvilla (Yoder) King, whom he married April 5, 1942, survives. Also survivng are: children, Dr. Dennis and Judy (Harding) King, Lincoln, NE, Darrel and Sara (Yoder) King, West Liberty, OH, Delmar and Sandy (Glick) King, Belleville; a sister, Ethel Yoder, Belleville; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Armilda Kauffman. He graduated from the Allensville Public Schools in 1934. He farmed near Whitehall and near Woodland before moving in 1947 to the farm east of Belleville where he lived until moving to Valley View Village in 1996. After retiring from farming in 1976, he was a salesman for Agri King and for Hoffman Seeds. He enjoyed the opportunity to serve his church and community. He was an active member of Maple Grove Mennonite Church where he served as Sunday School teacher for 50 years, and as a member and officer of the Board of Elders and numerous committees. He served on the Belleville Mennonite School Board for many years, 12 years as chairman. He was one of several men who in the early 1960's initiated what would become the Valley View Retirement Community in Belleville. He served as chairman or vice chairman of the Valley View Board until retiring in 1983. Within the village, King Lane was named to honor his commitment to developing the retirement commity. In 1983, he met with several others interested in the history of the Mennonites in Big Valley. Their meetings resulted in the formation of the Mifflin County Historical Society, which he was chairman of until 1992. He enjoyed music and over the years, participated in a harmonica quartet as a well as in various acapella men's and mixed ensembles and choruses. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Maple Grove Mennonite Church, Bellville with the Rev. Laban Peachey and the Rev. Galen Sharp officiating. Interment will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery, Belleville. Friends may call 6:30 -8:30 p.m. Thursday at Baggus Funeral Home, 3813 W. Main St., Belleville. HONEY GROVE - Mark P. Kint, 28, of Honey Grove, died Monday morning, July 22, 2002, at Lewistown Hospital. Born May 4, 1974, in Lewistown, he was the son of Perry R. Kint, Port Royal and Rhonda (Peterson) Foehlinger, 2 Oak Dr., Port Royal, who survive. Also surviving are: step-father, Andrew Foehlinger, 2 Oak Dr., Port Royal; step-mother, Kristi Kint, Port Royal; paternal grandmother, Sarah Kint, Honey Grove; a sister, Kimberly Burdge, and her husband, Larry, RR1 Waterford; a brother, Tyler Foehlinger, 2 Oak Dr., Port Royal; a step-brother, Dustin Bassler, Walnut; four step-sisters, Abby Bassler and Erin Pyle, both of Port Royal, Melissa Smith and Stacy Foehlinger, both of 2 Oak Dr., Port Royal; and a nephew, Joshua Burdge, RR1, East Waterford. He was preceded in death by a niece, Ashley McCartney. He was a 1992 graduate of Juniata High School. He graduated from the Northwood School of Taxidermy on April 6, 2001. He was a self-employed building contractor and taxidermist. He owned Kint's Taxidermy, Honey Grove. He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, East Waterford, Ducks Unlimited and Pennsylvania Taxidermy Association. His funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Henry Funeral Home, Honey Grove, with Pastor Don Walters and Rev. Louise Knotts officiating. Interment will be in the McCullochs Mills Cemetery. Friends may call from noon-9 p.m., with the family being present 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Susanna N. Kirk
BLAIRS MILLS - Susanna N. Kirk, 46, of RR#1, Blairs Mills, died at 10 p.m. Saturday at her home. Services will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no viewing. Henrt Funeral Home, Honey Grove, are in charge of the arrangements.

Sterling E. Kleinfelter
LEBANON - Sterling E. Kleinfelter, 77, of Lebanon, died Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2002, in Lebanon VA Medical Center. Surviving are: his wife, Elsie "Pat" Patches Kleinfelter, Lebanon; a son, David E. Kleinfelter, Lewistown, and a daughter, Sue Ann Wolfe, Lebanon; a sister, Kathryn Light, Lebanon; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Audrey Kleinfelter. His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, Lebanon. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. A viewing will be from 10 a.m. until the service time Tuesday at the church.
